Two-Up Margins

When I print my document on 8.5x11 with no scaling the document comes out correct.
When I change the option and paper to 11x17 and print Two-Up, Adobe puts in a margin on the page and shrinks my document.
Is there a way to remove the margins in Two-Up printing?
If i change to 12x18 then the documents print correctly on Two-Up.  But 12x18 paper is much more expensive than 11x17.  Thus my need for this to work.

You can crop the pages before printing.
You can also use the Quite Imposing plugin:

Go to System Preferences>Displays and set the resolution to "Best for this computer" (or something to that effect).

  • Change default paper size to A4 Two Sided Margins

My default paper size (System Preferences > Printers & Scanners) is currently set to A4.
However, I think this is giving me problems when I try to print duplex (HP Photosmart 5520). If I select two-sided printing in the print dialog (from any application) I get an error saying that the margins have to be adjusted.
I think this is preventing me from setting two-sided as the default, or even including it in presets. If I try to include it in a preset, next time I select the preset, two sided printing remains off.
How can I change my default paper size to "A4, Two Sided Margins"? There is an option in the print dialog to change it (only for that current print job) but this particular paper size/margins is not available in System Preferences where you select the default paper size.
Is there something I can install to make this option show up in System Preferences? Can I make a custom paper size for it?

You may be able to change the defaults by following the instructions of PAHU in the thread linked below, but you're on your own as to the consequences.

  • Removing or hiding visible page margins

Is there a way to remove the two black margins that appear on my webpage to left and right below, or at least make them invisible,

Click anywhere outside of the stage and then goto the STROKE section, in the menu and click the 'Stroke Weight' (Down Arrow) so that it shows '0' ... that will take off the 'Page Stroke' for the stage ...

  • Photosmart 6520 Printing 2-sided without binding

I am trying to print a Two-Sided Brochure from Adobe InDesign CC, but every time I try, one side of the Artwork gets cut off on both the front and the back on the Short side. When I have US Letter selected I receive this message, "The Two-Sided option, Long-edge binding, is not available when the destination paper size is set to US Letter." Which I find ridiculous, because my old Photosmart c309g never had an issue like this when printing two-sided
I have tried switching to "US Two Sided Margins" and then clicking Long-Side Binding, but even when I do this the short side gets cut off. Even when I chose  "Scale to Fit" the side gets cut off....I have tried finding ways to lessen the width of the "binding" area and also tried to find options to decrease the margins when printing "two-sided margins."
So I exported my InDesign file as a PDF and tried to Print from Acrobat Pro and it gave me the same error message, "The Two-Sided option, Long-edge binding, is not available when the destination paper size is set to US Letter." Only Acrobat doesnt even offer an option for "US LETTER TWO-SIDED MARGINS." Again even with Scale to Fit chosen, both the fornt and back have the artwork cut off on the short side.
There is no paperwork included that explains two-sided printing and the online manual is no help either.
Furthermore, the picture on the box shows a picture with NO white edges and Full bleed printing...is this possible with this model, or is the picture false advertising?
All I want is to print equally on both sides of the paper like I could with my old Photosmart Printer. Thanks for the Help.

    Thank you!
I am going to lay out all of my suggestions to you below. I hope they help you!
If the issue is coming from the printer hardware or software, these steps should correct it:
Follow the steps in this guide:
If the guide does not help, in order try these steps:
Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
    Repair disk permissions
    Restart the Mac
Install the printers full driver here: HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers
In addition, download this driver: HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X
Try your print again and it should now be fixed if the printer was causing the problem. If the issue does happen to continue, post the issue in the Adobe Support Community

  • Officejet 6700 duplex printing problem

Hi. When I select duplex printing on my new Officejet 6700, the image looks squashed (horizontally) so the circle looks like an upright oval. It prints fine when in single-sided mode.

    Hello again Nich7503,
Thank you for the update and the feedback.  Contrary to popular belief, we do value this information and want our users to have the best possible experience.  I've included a section of the User's Guide below, would you mind validating the duplex process that you used to get these results?  Just in case, the link to the User's Guide is pasted below these steps.  Thanks again........
    Print on both sides (duplexing)
You can print on both sides of a sheet of media automatically by using the automatic twosided printing accessory (duplexer).
NOTE: Two-sided printing requires an automatic two-sided printing accessory
(duplexer) to be installed on the printer.
NOTE: You can perform manual duplexing by first printing only the odd pages,
flipping the pages over, and then printing only the even pages.
    Perform two-sided printing (Windows)
    1. Load the appropriate media. For more information, see Load media.
    2. Make sure the duplexer is installed correctly.
    Chapter 2
36 Print3. With a document open, click Print on the File menu, and then under the Print on
Both Sides options on the Layout tab, select either Flip on Long Edge or Flip on
    Short Edge.
    4. Change any other settings, and then click OK.
    5. Print your document.
Perform two-sided printing (Mac OS X)
    1. Load the appropriate media. For more information, see Load media.
    2. Make sure the duplexer is installed correctly.
    3. Select a paper size:
    a. From  the File menu in your software application, click Page Setup.
NOTE: If you do not see a Page Setup menu item, go to step 4.
    b. Make sure the printer you want to use is selected in the Format For pop-up menu.
    c. Select the paper size from the Paper Size pop-up menu, and then click OK.
    4. From the File menu in your software application, click Print.
    5. Make sure the printer you want to use is selected.
    6. Select the paper size from the Paper Size pop-up menu (if available).
NOTE: You might need to select the paper-size option labeled Two-Sided
    margins.
    7. Click the Two-Sided Printing pop-up menu, select Print Both Sides, and then click
the appropriate binding options for the document.
    - OR -
Click the Layout pop-up menu, and then select the appropriate binding options for
the document from the Two-Sided pop-up menu.
NOTE: If you do not see any options, click the disclosure triangle next to the
Printer pop-up menu or click Show Details.
    8. Select any other print settings that you want, and then click Print to begin printing.
    Print on both sides.

  • Did I mess up my website?

    Hey all-
I just reloaded DW CS5 on my new computer, made a couple of small changes to my existing website, deleted the old site and uploaded the new.  The only thing I changed was the copyright (I know -  I'm not suppossed to put 2013 yet but I'm trying to stay ahead of the game since we're so close to the end of the year) and a bit of info on the book's page.
I posted recently (after the new upload) on my hosting forum asking for input on the site, and one of the administrators said it's unbalanced.  He said the two side margins are huge, the middle content is cramped, and the links on the left are way small.   I asked the admin which browser he's using, but he hasn't responded yet.
I couldn't figure out how to add more browsers in DW.  I checked the Help manual and all it said was to "select edit--> preferences --> then select the Preview in Browser category on the left to select a browser."  There aren't any browsers to select so I tried the Adobe Browser Lab.   I  checked the site in Safari 5.1, IE 9.0, and Firefox 11.0.  Google's Chrome 18.0 would not load so I couldn't check that browser.  The other three look fine.
    So my question is:
Did I mess something up when I uploaded the updated site?   How does it look on large monitors?   If anyone has Google Chrome I'd appreciate some feedback.   I know it looked fine before that - well, maybe not artistically but it was balanced on both sides.  I have a small (17"?) monitor and it looks fine.  I can't be looking at a cached version because this computer has a new install of DW.
    Thanks for your help!

Hmmmmm . . . thanks for the info, but I think I'll just do it manually.
And  thanks for the feedback as well.  In the original post I should have included what the admin said:
Looking at your site, what strikes me are the huge gutters (wide margins) on either side, and all the content jammed into a very narrow space. You might look into a more "fluid" layout that would let you expand to mostly fill a wider screen, and give a less cluttered look. Say, 95% width with min-width and max-width to limit content to reasonable sizes on tiny or huge screens. If you like wide margins, try to find a background image of tire tracks on dirt that can be cleanly tiled -- it would fit the subject. There are pictures with text, as well as icons (FB, etc.) which are quite tiny, and would be more readable if you could give them some more real estate.
By the way, you can't legally copyright something "2013" until the year is 2013 and the content has changed in that year. The "latest" copyright year should be a global variable in your script, or in some cases, the current year from a date function is permissible.
    The actual link is http://www.lunarforums.com/showcase_your_web_site/should_i_redesign_my_site-t61706.0.html
Thanks for the feedback - it's a big relief to know it shows up ok.

  • HP 6525 printing pdf off page

6525 printer seems to have a mind of its own when printing pdf attachments from Windows 7.  New install of both PC and printer.  Haven't been able to print pdfs correctly since install.  Two inch margin on left and 1 1/2 inches on right.  About one inch of right side of page is cut off and not printed.

    Hello @Hedgehog13 ,
Thank you for taking the time to post on the HP Forums today! Hope you enjoy the experience.
I understand you are running into issues when you print PDF. documents as the margins are way off as you explained. You are using the HP Photosmart 6525 and this issue only started after you uninstalled and reinstalled.
I have a few questions to ask you before we go any further so i can better understand the issue.
    1. Why did you do an uninstall and reinstall? What was the printer doing before that made you do that?
    2. Do you have margin issues with any other program? Try a different PDF. software and try a generic processor document from Microsoft Word etc.
    3. What program are you using to print when you encounter this error?
    4. How is your printer connected to your computer?
Answer these when you get a chance. Have a great day, look forward to hearing back from you soon.

  • Can't get 2-sided Preset to save

I’m using this printer connected by USB to an iMac running OS 10.9.5, but this is not a new problem.
I want to print my bank statements using this configuration: double-sided and odd pages only.  I can’t get this to save as a preset. It appears that when I attempt to Save Current Settings as Preset, neither the Destination Paper Size:U.S Letter Two-Sided margins nor the Two-sided option are saved.  I’ve also tried using Long-edge binding and that won’t save either.  The same problem occurs whether I print in a Safari window or if I save the document as a PDF and try to print from Preview.
I don't have any problem achieving the desired result for one document, but I'd rather not have to change the settings each time I want to print.  Isn't that why we have Presets?
    Is this a driver bug?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hello @TigerMO,
I would like to assist you today with resolving the Presets printing issue that you're experiencing when printing to your HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer from your Mac OS X 10.9 Operating System. Because your driver is failing to 'save' the Presets for future use I am going to run you through a series of software and driver troubleshooting steps below to resolve this issue.
Step 1: Reset the Print System:
To start, I am going to have you Reset the Print System on your Mac. Please click here for instructions on how to perform the Reset. When the website opens follow the steps under'Resetting the printing system in OS X Lion' as the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.9. This Reset will remove every printer from your Mac. However, it does not uninstall the printers. Therefore, should you use other printers on this Mac, once the Reset is complete simply ensure that the printers are connected via a USB Cable or Network connected and (+) Add them back in. Do not add your HP Photosmart back in at this time.
Once the reset is complete, please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Uninstall Drivers and Software:
Next, please click here for steps on how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens select the dropdown for 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8, and OS X v10.9' and follow the appropriate steps to complete the uninstall process.
Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.
Step 3: Verify and Repair your Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    Go to the Utilities Folder
    Open the Disk Utility
Select the Hard Drive volume you are using (usually on the left)
    Select Verify Disk Permissions
Once that process is done, select Repair Disk Permissions
Step 4: Check for Apple Updates:
    Go to Apple
    Select System Preferences
    Select Software Update
    Click Update Now
    Install your available updates
    Restart your computer
Step 5: Reinstall your Software and Drivers:
Lastly, please click here to download the driver package for your printer. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. Once the download is complete please follow the onscreen instructions to install your printer.
Once your printer is added in, please check the driver to ensure that the HP Photosmart driver is being used and not the Apple AirPrint driver.
    1. Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
    2. Click Print & Scan, and then check if the name of your printer displays in the Printers list.
    3. Click the name of your printer, click the minus sign (), and then delete the printer.
    4. Click the plus sign (), click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer,
    5. Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu. Ensure that the Photosmart driver is selected.
    6. Click Add to add the printer to the list.
Once the printer is successfully added in, please try to save the printing Presets again to verify if the settings stick this time.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Topics with Two Columns, and ?s about Margins

I've been searching all over and can't quite get the answers I need.  I have a robohelp project which will solely be for written documentation.  Some of the topics within this project I would like two have two columns, the left column will just have headings and the right side will have content.  I did accomplish this by making a table, however I can't remove the borders.  I also tried another way by using this, which works great but when I made printed documentation it didn't make it look like I have on my screen (printed the headings all together then the content on later pages).
    #container2 {     clear: left;     float: left;     width: 100%;     overflow: hidden; } #container1 {     float: left;     width: 100%;     position: relative;     right: 50%; } #col1 {     float: left;     width: 50%;     position: relative;     overflow: hidden; } #col2 {     float: left;     width: 50%;     position: relative;     overflow: hidden; }
So I guess I have a few questions to try and make this project go smoothly.  Since I will only be using this project for written documentation, what would be the best way to make sure that each topic I am working on will print the way I want it to (margins, etc.)?  Is there a good way to deal with my two column issue?  Would making a style that indents the text be a good solution?

You may also want to check out CSS columns. That will allow you to work without using tables and let the browser to take care of the rest. See: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_multiple_columns.asp

But i want Space between these two spans is of   margin= 27.
So how can i create space between these two spans. if anybody know please reply.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I doubt if there is a single transaction that can help you achieve your goal because if you follow standard SAP steps you need to follow all the steps to make a stock transfer.
However, you can consider what Abdul has suggested and see if it suffices your requirement.

  • Printing two pages per sheet with equal margins

My first post here.  I did a search but didn't see an answer to my question.
How can I get equal margins when printing two pages per sheet?
I print aviation approach plates 2 pages per sheet and fold the sheet of paper in half and carry with me in a knee board.  I had no problem doing this until last week after my hard drive was changed. The steps I normally take are:
    click file
    print
    print range: all
    copies: 1
page scaling: multiple pages per sheet
    pages per sheet: 2
page order: horizontal (for the first pass through the printer and horizontal reversed for the second pass)
    print to file: box checked
the preview now shows a winder margin on the left side of the page than the right.
I can't figure out any way to even the margins.  Anyone have any ideas?

  • Latex and two-sided page margins

Hi all, I'm using the Texlive distribution and I'm having a strange problem where the odd pages have a larger margin on the right side, when they should be larger on the left side when using the 'twoside' option.
Anyone have any clues? Maybe I'm not expecting the correct behaviour...
    Here is a skeleton example..
    \documentclass[titlepage,twoside,openright,final]{report}
    \begin{document}
    \begin{titlepage} \centering \Huge Title Page \end{titlepage}
    \cleardoublepage
    \centering\Huge \fbox{\begin{minipage}{1\textwidth}Odd page\\[40pt]Should be
    a right page, so the margin should be larger on the left?\end{minipage}}
    \cleardoublepage
    \centering\Huge \fbox{\begin{minipage}{1\textwidth}Odd page\\[40pt]Should be
    a right page, so the margin should be larger on the left?\end{minipage}}
    \newpage
    \centering\Huge \fbox{\begin{minipage}{1\textwidth}Even page\\[40pt]Should be
    a left page, so the margin should be larger on the right?\end{minipage}}
    \end{document}

It's all modifiable, example (put it in your preamble):
    \topmargin -10mm
    \textwidth 16truecm
    \textheight 24truecm
    \oddsidemargin 0mm
    \evensidemargin 0mm
No need to load additional packages, this is basic stuff
That is plain TeX. It is not advisable to use that in LaTeX. Using geometry is better.
If the inner margin is too wide, try koma-script with its class scrreprt and give an option like
    \documentclass[...BCOR1cm...]{scrreprt}

  • Data from a view in the margin

    Hi,
I have a view which shows the data for the margin correctly.
It is a group above report which results in several pages.
On page 1 the footer should be in swedish (a reminder to a swedish customer) and on page 2 the footer should be in english (a reminder to an english customer).
The data in the margin does not get switched then the data is different. Meaning that the footer on page 2 still is on swedish desipte of that the data in the view for that page is correct (english).
The footer is placed in a repeating frame, that has source group = the outermost repeating frame.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,
    this is a maintenance view
so you cannot write the select query
but you can write the select query on TTDS
    TTDST tables
as these are the two tables involved in this
this is the condition maintained to get this view
    TTDS     MANDT     =     TTDST     MANDT
    TTDS     TPLST     =     TTDST     TPLST
    select a~field
              b~field1
from ttds as a inner join
ttdst as b on atplst  =  btplst
    into table itab
    where conditions
    then it will work
    regards,
    Venkatesh
