Two vendor locations, one planning location

Dear all,
For several reasons we have two vendor location codes in our ECC-system representing the same location. In APO we want to treat both locations as one. So plan on one (main) location, only when interfacing with ECC we want to distinguish to the differrent parties.
To achieve this in SNC we would use the business partner setup to combine both locations.
Is this setup also available in APO?
Can you combine two vendors into one Business Partner?
And then still run deployment / heuristics / etc.

It may be too late to reply this.
Just a thought, if you are sourcing from these vendors, in APO you can define quota rules (50:50) so that both the locations will be considered for receiving demand and subsequent planning in APO. You might need to test this.

Dear Experts,
I have a query, during MRP Run following is the scenario.
PR Generated for AA material for 1000 nos for xx vendor.
Now we want to split quantity 600 to xx vendor and 400 to yy vendor. We have not maintained the quota, as we rarely procure material from yy.
Do we have to change the quantity in PR manually and add one more line for yy vendor. OR can we control it while doing ME57 OR ME59N.

BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST tax with two vendor line

Hi ,
I have a problem account tax parameter of Bapi_acc_document_post . I have to send two vendor lines , one of them with special gl indicator and one of them is tax related with zero amount . I fill account tax parameter properly but bapi doesnt not reflect tax item to bset table.
Can you help me for fill BSET table

I have two location one is Delhi(IP-192.168.100.*) and another is Mumbai(IP-192.168.1.*) and both are connected by MPLS line and ping with each other. We have one DC in Delhi location and domain name is CAPLDC and Delhi location all PC is member of this

One more thing when i have created another DC with this name (papldc.com) then Mumbai location is joined properly.

Why are you using a single labeled domain? I would recommend renaming the domain name to be something like domain.com.

QI stock from one Storage location to other

I have a scenario where QM is implemented and Material is received in storage location "A" against purchase order through movement type 101.But for testing we need to send material to storage location"B"for testing. I want to send the material under inspection lying in storage location "A" to "B" for testing purpose. Is it possible to move stock under quality inspection , If yes through which movement tyep. Is there any process in QM which allows the stock under quality inspection to move.

Possible special stock indicators: E, K, M, Q
313 Stock transfer storage location to storage location in two steps - removal from storage
The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing storage location to stock in transfer in the receiving storage location.
Possible special stock indicators:
K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock
O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor
E GR for purchase order or order to sales order stock
Q GR for purchase order or order to project stock.

Has anyone picked materials from one storage location but confirmed TO to different storage location?

The business does not want to use MRP areas to segregate materials between service part and production. What they want to do is separate service parts on deliveries at our shipping storage types (915/916) from MRP view. This requirement is primarily for our international shipping area. We may pick parts for an international shipment and the parts will sit on the delivery - not goods issued because we don't want to invoice - for up to 3 months. During that time, MRP sees the inventory so replenishment is not done in a timely fashion or parts may get stolen from the shipment for a production requirement because the inventory is seen.
Could one solution be to create a non-MRP relevant storage location (say 1200) and place the shipping storage types in this storage location? Then when the transfer order creates, the system would show the source to be from the MRP relevant SLoc (1100), stype (130), bin (A-01-A), - these are examples - with the destination to be to non-MRP relevant SLoc 1200, stype 915, bin (dynamic using the delivery number) 0080745298? Has anyone had this type of request or know of a way to satisfy the business requirements without different MRP areas? They also do not want to have two transfer orders - one with a 601 movement and one with a 311 movement.
Any known solutions or outside-the-box thinking would greatly appreciated.

I don't have the solution, just some critical questions and hints
Even a non-MRP relevant storage location can be warehouse managed.
The stock is shown in any stock list as long it is not goods issued, no matter if it is stored in a
non-MRP relevant storage location.
Stock that is picked for a delivery is not available for others, it is reserved. A delivery is a MRP element and hence should be taken into consideration in the planning run.
A non-MRP relevant storage location will only solve your planning issues if you move the material there if it is not yet picked and allocated to a delivery.
Do your thieves really use SAP to check if the stock is there, or do they just see the stock in the warehouse? As said, the non-MRP relevant storage location will not solve this issue since the stock is still visible.

MD04 - Display the stock on one storage location particulary.

The transaction MD04 allows seeing the stock of the plant in the first line of the Stock/requirement list.(MD04)
When the plant includes several storage location (e.g MAG1, MAG2, MAG3), we don't have the detail of the quantity one each storage location.
We can use the filter (by using SETTINGS and FILTER ON) that controls the display of the MRP list and the stock/requirements list but this function don't allows seeing only the stock on one storage location particulary. We have to go the tcode MMBE in order to know the stock on each storage location.

What is your real problem?
Display the stock storage location-wise is one thing and do MRP without certain storage location(s) (=exclude storage locations from MRP) might be another.
If you only want to display stock of certain storage locations in MD04 but use all you stock for planning, I think there's no reason for it.
If you really want to exclude certain storage locations, then you have to be aware that MRP won't consider that stock (for the plant segment). It will also have impact on ATP (atp won't use that stock too).
So, there's a big difference between exclude a storage location from MRP and to exclude its stock from display.
(You can exclude storage locations from MRP via material master --> MRP4 view --> you have to enter both plant/sloc as organisational level and you will see the suitable tab. It is also possible to control this indicator via config for to be created material masters - you can search and find threads)
You should describe your exact requirement and maybe forum mebers can give you advice.

MRP run without one storage location

Dear All,
My client's requirement is they need to run MRP on plant level without considering one storage location stock
e.g if a material is having stock of 10 in unrestricted with storage location 1104. Now when mrp is run for 100 quantity planned order is created for 90 only planning strategy is 40....they want the MRP should not consider the stock in storage location 1104.....how this can be made possibe?

Help with Multiple libraries and one storage location for files

I cannot get an answer to this question anywhere and was really hoping that The [H] would be able to help.
Here is my current set up that allows my wife and I to have completely independent libraries and ratings, but use the same files:
-Shared folder with MP3s on a network drive.
-Two PCs, each with it's own Ipod associated to it with individual libraries but all pointing to the same network share for MP3 Files.
-Each PC is using the SAME Itunes account for downloads.
-Each account has it's own library folder also on a network share.
Now to my question(s)/problem with downloaded content:
(1) Is there any way to have a file that is downloaded from Itunes be automatically placed in a shared location accessible to both Libraries? (Say if I download the latest Jack Johnson album, can it automatically show up in my wife's library and vice versa?)
(2) Is there any way to share the album artwork versus having two copies of everything(one for each library)?
So my goal is to have two libraries with a central location for ALL files, including anything downloaded from Itunes by each individual user. Is this possible?

Have your wife transfer all purchases from the iPad into iTunes, backup her iPad and then sync with iTunes. Everything ... All media and other content will be available in that iTunes library and she will have a current backup.
Assuming that your son will still be sharing your wife's Apple ID (he is too young to have one of his own) .... When you set up his iPad, restore the iPad from your wife's backup and then select only the content that you want your son to have on his iPad in the iTunes library and then sync that iPad with iTunes.
The game progress is stored in the backup and should transfer onto his device when you restore from your wife's backup. You can always delete any content (apps, movies, music) that you don't want your son to have on the iPad, if you missed it when you synced with iTunes after setting the device up for him.
You can set your sync preferences - any way that you want to - for both devices and still use the same iTunes library for both iPads. So ... Yes you can sync any apps that you want to his iPad and any apps that your wife wants to her iPad. You just need to restore your son's iPad from your wife's backup in order to get his game progress onto his iPad.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to move databased from C drive to D drive.
You can detach Database so that the files become independent, cut and paste the files from source to destination and attach again.

Creating vendor as a storage location

Hi all,
My client want to know in any time what is the stock lying with his vendor by provding access to his system (as a user)
The vendor has to update his stock in a storage location directly ,I know vendor stock will become current asset to my client,
still I want to know what all the implication will be if I create a legal entity like vendor as a storage location.

You can define a consignment process to fulfill your requirement.
You can create a consignment procurement process
You create a Consignment PO on the vendor and then do GR, only when vendor brings stock into his storage ( here you create a virtual storage) here no accounting documents will be created. The stocks are still on Vendor books.
When ever you want to take the stocks into your account do a consignment GI from the virtual storage location and then you can do the settlement to the vendor.
I think this is right option and a standard one.

Hi,
Next inspection date is maintained at the batch level, not at the storage location level.
You can suggest the following solutions if it is feasible in your business scenario.
Scenario 1: Batch is inwarded in one storage location"A" & stored for some time, then it is transfered to other storage loactions B & C (like production storage locations).
In this case suggest to transfer the batch to storage loactions B & C just one or two days before the actual consumption of the batch & also keep the opening period in QA07 sufficient days (between 10-15 days), so that the sytem will create the inspection lot in one storage location "A" . Since the batch is still not transfered to B & C, the system will not create inspection lots in B&C.
Scenario 2: Batch is inwarded in all the storage locations with the same batch number.
In this case suggest to inward the same bacth with different batch numbers, keeping the all other characteristic values same

Material with different concentration in one storage location

We are working in a chemical industry that make caustic soda they are selling two material of caustic soda with two different concentrations (33% and 50%). Problem is that they move caustic 33% (one material) in to one storage location at the same time the move caustic 50%(second material) in the same material tank. In this way the concentrations of caustic change say 45%. If they want to increase the concentration they move caustics with greater concentration to make this stock to 50%. How to handle this situation. Every time the move these two materials in a same tank materials concentration changes.

I Need to copy one file from one location to another location. That file need to save in C:\Windows\System32 folder
I need to create one .bat file and i want apply that bat as a startup script through GPO.
I tried through XCopy if i test in machine that is working. If i tried in other machine that is not working. becoz of some Credential issue
I tried in the script by netuse command after that my script itself not working.

You cannot do that in a startup script. You do not need to do that in a startup script.
To add files to the system use GP Preferences.
On Window 7 and later only the Trussted Installer is allowed to add files. (That means only Microsoft.)
No programs or users should ever alter files in the system area.
