Two version in ONE?

I have made an elearn with video, it will be published world wide and some country have low internet speed as in Bangladesh. Do I have to make another elearn without video and only sound with still picture.
It will be great if there were a button to skip video and just only sound with still picture.
If I do then it will be a big elearn in one with two files; video and audio with still picture.

You'll probably have three files. You attach the Open other Project to two buttons and point to the correct CPTX-file preferably in the same folder(not to the SWF).
LMS: depends on the LMS, for our LMS I would zip all published files and upload as a package, instruct the LMS to unzip and to start the first HTML-file from the menu-file.  Still, I did not check it out about the loading time.
Since you have a LMS, it would be simpler to have both published files there and just hide the unwanted file by LMS-functionality or clearly instruct the users to open the correct file.

  • Two version in One Laptop

    Hi,
I had installed 9i (9.2.0......) version in my laptop on Xp. Then I have installed 10g on the same machine on XP . The system showed me installation successful but I found
My Manager Console is not working and Listener error Ora-12514. I created another listener on different port no but it's not solved my problem.
Please help me solve those two problem.
    Thanks
    Sarker

As Girishh points out, you only need one listener on a machine for most situations.
    Basically:
    1) Turn off the 9i listener
    2) Make sure the 10g listener is listening on the default port (1521)
    3) When a database is state, it should register with the listener (use lsnrctl status to confirm)
Remember that each installation has it's own %ORACLE_HOME%\network\admin directory and therefore you end up with duplicate tnsnames.ora files that cause all sorts of headaches. You could read the 10gR2 "Platform Guide for Microsoft Windows" at http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/portal.portal_db?selected=3#index-PLA for tips to resolving that issue.

  • Two Versions on One Mac?

If my post has helped you, click the Kudos Thumbs up!
If it solved your issue, Click the "Accept as Solution" button so others can benefit from the question you asked!

Given that only a small percentage of users would pay attention to what seems to be a Mac-specific question, why get petulant when you don't get a response in 36 hours?
In Palm Desktop, you should (1) set up two user accounts and (2) use 'File -> Save a Copy ...' to back up the data from each in case you accidentally overwrite the data from one with the data from the other.

I have a 3 year old MacBook Pro with MAC OSX 10.6.8, iPhoto ’09 version 8.1.2 and have downloaded two software programs: one is Aperture 3.2 and the other is Photoshop Elements 9 (which I got from a friend who didn’t need it).
I am totally happy with the way iPhoto organizes my photos and how I can work with iMovie to create slide shows with music from iTunes, etc.
I have been shooting mostly high resolution jpegs and I continue to learn more and more about photography, post processing etc. I realize that the small adjustments I can make in iPhoto are good, and are adequate most of the time. However, a have started to experiment with shooting RAW images and would like to go the next step, ie. post processing.I am totally technically challenged and need SIMPLE, INTUITIVE programs and am certainly NOT anywhere ready for Photoshop CS whatever!
After having these programs sit on my computer, I decided to try to see if I could figure them out. When I opened Aperture, this is what first comes up.
    “Welcome to Aperture 3.2
Your library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of Aperture. Once upgraded, you will not be able to use this library with previous versions of Aperture.
Upgrading a library from previous versions of Aperture 3 generally takes a few minutes or less, though larger libraries will take longer. After that, Aperture 3.2 will upgrade your library's thumbnails, but you can use the application during that time.
Tip: To open a different library, quit Aperture and hold the Option key down while starting Aperture
    Current Library Location:
    Jadzia (home)   -----Pictures------Aperture Library
                                                      QUIT             UPGRADE”
I have heard horror stories  about moving your entire library to Aperture, ending up with 2 libraries, etc. etc. hence my previous reluctance in attempting Aperture. In addition, many of my photography friends are saying: Go with Lightroom 3.....you’ll love it!
So here is my dilemma.  I don’t want to mess around with my iPhoto library. All I want to be able to do, is to isolate a few photos, export them to Aperture, Elements, and work on them there, then bring them back into iPhoto.
Can I do this? Should I forget about Aperture and Elements and look at purchasing yet another program like Lightroom?

Export those few photos via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with Kind = Original to the Desktop.  Then import them into the Aperture library. That would keep one copy in your iPhoto library and another in your Aperture library to edit, etc.
You can use Photoshop Elements 9 from within iPhoto as your editor of choice. However, if you edit a raw file in iPhoto with PSE9 the resulting edited version must be saved outside the iPhoto Library and imported back in as a new file.  For editing jpegs just do a Save (not a Save As) and it all will be kept within iPhoto.
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

You need to be very careful which project you open in which version.
For 2014 make sure its on 2014.1 build 81.

Is it possible to have two versions of Muse on one Machine?  WhenI open Muse from my program menu in WIndows 7 it comes up the way I am used to.  I did an upgrade a week or so ago and now I have an Adobe Muse CC 2014 on my desktop.  WhenI open the application that way the GUI interface looksw totally different, more like Illustrator.  What is that all about?

Since posting the above, I have resolved a sensible work-around in regard to ebookstores which prefer us to have separate accounts for our separate Adobe IDs.
However, I really would appreciate it if anyone here can confirm that a DRM controlled book does actually become associated with a particular Adobe ID account at the time of first download to Digital Editions on that PC/device.
Two large book stores have said using my account with them to download books to our two separate Adobe IDs is OK, but I don't want to find my husband is unable to open his downloaded books.
Thank you folks for any advice you can give,

  • Two versions of XSD with same namespace in one project

I'm working with a two very large version of the same set of XSDs. For some uses I need to use the old version for other the new ones. They use the exact same namespace. So when I include them in the same project there is overlap and conflicts. The schemas are very large and separated into 66 different xsd files. Also they are maintained by another group. Manually altering the xsds is not really an option.
The way I've been getting around this problem up until now was to have one process that can receive message for the old version and one for the new. This is a lot of overhead.
So I was wondering whether there is a way to deal this without altering the xsds?
    Thanks

    Hi,
have you thought about putting a version string into the namespace?
Or you can write scripts, which put new XSDs in all processes and deploy them....
I think you will not get such a feature for free. Perhaps, you will get some other approaches here, so you can choose the right solution for your problem....

  • Two different DB version in one server machine, help please

    Hello, greetings.
I have two databases in one server.
One is 10g1 version, currently running. another one I just installed is 10g2 version. They each has it's own home. I mean two versions sit in separate oracle home. They both in window.
However, through sqlplus, toad etc, I can only access 10g1.
How can I access both versions through sqlplus and toad? What do I need to set up ?
    Thanks in advance!

    >
How can I access both versions through sqlplus and
toad? What do I need to set up ?Each Oracle product has it's own network connection configuration files. These are in ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
The listener.ora configures the piece that listens on the network. Each database must register to the listener. You only need one listener on the machine and each database should register to that listener. To check, run the command line 'lsnrctl status'
In your control panel, set the listener for 19gR1 to start manually (and then never start it)
The tnsnames.ora configures the client. Basically it says 'when yoohoo asks to connect to database blah, that means connect to host boing, talk to the listener on port whatever (usually 1521) and ask for a connection to database service bingo' as in
    blah =
      DESCRIPTION =
        (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = boing)(PORT =  9876))
        (CONNECT_DATA =
          (SERVER = DEDICATED)
          (SERVICE_NAME = bingo)
)Nearly 100% of the time, the two tnsnames.ora files, one in each ORACLE_HOME, do not contain all the information needed. So when you use the sqlplus from one Oracle Home and try to connect to the other database, you are missing critical pieces of information that are found only in the other ORACLE_HOME
The fix - as others say, is to run netca or netmgr (both available from START menu). Or simply open both tnsnames.ora files and make the match up by adding whatever entries are needed.

  • Can I use two adobe bundle(version) in one computer?

It is possible to install two adobe version in one computer. Lets say cs3 and cs5 working in one mac.
    Please help me...

    Broadly, the answer is yes.
However, you must bear in mind the issue of compatibility between MacOS and the various versions of the Adobe products.
Both versions of CS you propose to use must be compatible with the current version of MacOS you have installed. I use CS4 and CS5 on MacOS 10.6.6 without any problems, but an older version such as CS3 run with CS5 may be stretching things a bit in that respect. Others may have specific experience and may be able to say one way or another.
If you do have two versions running, you need to set your choice of which version opens if you double-click a file. The default is usually the latest version. Alternatively, you could drag and drop each file onto the icon of the version you want to use.

  • Laptop with two versions of Safari- want to "Trash" one or the the other...

I have two versions of Safari. One in the APP folder (as usual) and the other on the Desktop.
Want to trash one of my Safari Apps but I'm not sure if both will disappear.
(I'm asked for the Admin. PW when attempting to trash one or the other.)
Ideas? Suggestions for safe removal of the one appearing on the Desktop?
Likewise I have two folders named "iPhoto Library" - one is on the Desktop, again, it's the same "Trash" issue.
    Thanks for your input.
    F.P.

You can and should delete the Safari copy on your Desktop. As for the iPhoto library, if you're sure that the one on the Desktop is a copy, you can delete it, too. Of course, you're backing up all your data, so if you make a mistake, you can recover from it easily.

  • Transfer data from two oracle version to one sql server 2005

    Hi,
I have two database servers on different machines. They are
    1) Oracle 8.1.7.4
    2) Oracle 7.3.1.4
I have to create agents which can transfer tables from these two databases to one machine having sql server 2005 database.
Please tell me what are the options. What drivers i need to install on machine having sql server 2005 so that i can transfer data from both oracle versions.
    Thanks
    Rajneesh.

Your Oracle databases are so old you might want to look around and see if you can find dinosaur bones near by.
Given the differences in data types between Oracle and SQL Server I'd suggest you start off by dumping the data into delimited ASCII files and then loading it using whichever SQL Server tool you wish.

  • Two versions of code, one compile failure with java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

I Have two cvs versions of one package. The differences between the two are minor, and I'm only trying to make the root version look like the latest branch. When I compile the branch, which has more code, things are fine. When I comple the root version I get
java.lang.OutOfMemoryErrorSInce I can compile one version, it is clearly not the case that I lack RAM or something like that. What might the problem be? Thanks.
    Ken

I'm compiling and I'm doing it with ant. As I said,
it works fine with a slightly updated version of the
Java package I have, but has this error while doing
the same compile on the cvs root version of the
package. I'm just trying to prepare for mergning the
new code but can't compile the basic version of the
package. Then, as already stated, the difference between the two versions is enough to cross the threshold of heap memory available to the VM that's running the compiler. Ant lets you provide VM options to an externally invoked VM. See its docs for how. If you're using fork="false", then just change or add -Xmx in ant.bat or ant.sh.
