Two whole weeks not a single issue, problem, crash...
My N97 has locked up, crashed, flattened its battery in a few minutes, not found itself in GPS, locked its self out, crashed with ovi, run out of memory constantly, switched on the camera etc for one and a half years.
But for two weeks my phone has been brilliant, everything just works perfectly and synchronises with my desktop like a dream. I cant really believe that a smart phone works so well and that I have put up with so much for so long.
Yes you've guessed, I have dumped the N97 and bought an iphone4. You had your chance Nokia, never will I ever waste money on a product of yours ever again.

Two Editable Forms on One Page, Issues / Problems Applying Data

I have a problem and I need assistance in getting this issue resolved (advice).
I have a page with two editable regions, each editable region references a different table. The two tables are related by a common key value. The first issue is that I am able to successfully load the data from the second region, but the data from the first region is not loaded into it's particular form region. Additionally, I have two sets of buttons, one set per region, and two sets of fetch processes and two sets of automatic row processing dml routines.
Can two forms coexist on the same form or would it be more appropriate to try and make my changes with a view?

CharlesI agree that when you have pages that are more complicated than 1 form etc you should look at writing the code to populate and process the data yourself. I would ditch the automatic row processing and fetch routines and write your own. More work, but gives more control.
Something like:

Conditionally display the insert/update/delete buttons and you're set.
Then just add the appropriate handlers on submit, conditionally running them based on button or request. Either build your insert statement in the after submit processing or call pl/sql.
I tend to use pl/sql packages to handle table API's. -
Set WAIT_CURSOR for whole application, not for single frame

I am trying to set the cursor to an hour glass while a process runs. The application uses serveral frames that are open at the same time. The problem I have is that the cursor is attached to the frame (frame.setCursor) so once I move off the frame to another one the curosr is no longer an hour glass and when I move backover the first frame the cursor does not change back to the hour glass.
Is there any way to set the hour glass for the whole application?

Newsstand for single issue app?

I am doing a monthly magazine for the iPad with the Adobe DPS Single Edition that comes with the Creative Cloud. That means I can only do single-issue apps (1 issue in the app) and I cannot do multi-issue apps (several issues in 1 app). My client is not willing to pay the "expensive" Adobe DPS Professional Fee of 3600 euros per year what is understandable as my client is a middle-sized publisher. So far, I've always brought the latest magazine issue on the App Store via an app update (version 1.1, version 1.2, version 1.3 etc.). However, the problem here is that I have to wait for that app update to be reviewed and approved by Apple. In the past 6 months, that has usually taken 3 to 4 days. Now, it's already been taking 7 days and the current magazine issue is very time sensitive and my client is quite upset about that (understandably).
So I was thinking of changing the app into an app that appears in the Newsstand. However, I read that Newsstand does not support single-issue apps which makes sense to a certain extent. But I am desperately trying to find an alternate solution for my dilemma as I really want to prevent the waiting time for an app to be reviewed/approved. I've already called iTunes Connect in the US to discuss the whole thing through and they said that automatic background downloads (like I need them for my magazine app) are ONLY possible with a Newsstand app.
I'm really stuck with my problem. Can somebody please give me a helping hand here as this is really a serious issue?Short of paying for a pro or enterprise account there is nothing you can do.
You can check out alternate provider but you'll find that while some may be
less expensive there's no free way to handle this. -
New server settings not working - temporary Verizon problem
I was having a lot of problems connecting with email, and did an online chat. I was told that they are having problems with the new pop and smtp server settings. He told me to change them back to the old incoming and outgoing, but keep the new ports. This fixed my problems. He said the new server settings should be working again within 24 hours.

Maybe the problem is only on certain Verizon email servers. I am in VHO 1 (North Texas) and have been using these new pop/smtp settings for many weeks, not a single failure. If people would put their location (preferably VHO, but state and/or town would be better than nothing) in their profile here, or include the info in their posts, it might help identify when problems are regional or location dependent. As it is now, when people just post that something doesn't work, and someone else says it does, there is no way for anyone to help or see a pattern. Just a thought.....

Runninig 10.6.8 on new iMac. The last two weeks I keep loosing internet and have to turn airport off and on to restore service. This happens every time it goes into sleep mode. It is not the router as my two laptops do not have this problem. I read that in 2008 MMP's had a similar issues .Any thoughts?
Go to /Library/Preferences/System Configuration
Move all the files from the System Configuration folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac. See if that made a difference. -
Having horrible service with 4GLTE I have had 3G for several weeks (I am not the only person I know having this problem), I have reset my network settings and it did not resolve the issue. I am also unable to send SMS and text messages without them either failing or not sending at all. Is there an outage in the Cleveland, Ohio area (zip codes 44129, 44134, 44137) or anything else I can do to resolve this issue?
Not that I'm a Verizon employee, but I have experience in the field. An LTE tower will only extend up to, on a perfect day, with no elevation, 6-7 miles. On a typical day, you will be lucky at four (4) miles. The three ZIP codes you've given are all within about a 12 mile radius. That would mean that 2-3 towers are currently down at the same time, and Verizon would know about it within the hour. Being it's Cleveland, I'm sure they would receive numerous calls regarding an outage of that size.
My point is that if you're having issues in all three ZIP codes, chances are it's a phone issue. If you're handset is simply not receiving LTE, but still receiving 3G, that would signify a SIM card issue. You need to get your SIM card replaced. -
My Ipod classic wont play TED, The Grid, Techzilla and other video podcasts (but not all video podcasts). The genious bar could not figure out the problem. Instead, the Apple store gave me credit towards a new classic, which produced the same problem. This problem is not isolated to a single computer. Secondly, the convert to ipod version feature in Itunes does not resolve the problem. Lastly, I tried restoring the ipod to no avail. I've heard this is a video codec problem.

EWA Alert 'rating not defined' and 'download problem' (last week it's fine)

Please help me with this Alert.
We have a weekly schedule of EWA report. Lat week the report was fine (green).
This week it's been grayed out. the erro is Rating not defined and download problem.
I have run the EWA report and it generated well.
As per the EWA aler recomendation, i have run the sysprep check (sdcc) in target system. as per the report ihave checked the patches, they seems to be ok.However till last week the report was fine(Green).
I have checked the RFC connections etc.
Please check the following error message and help me soon. Since this is a production system.

it says dwnld problem... but i assume the recent cvhanges to our servers patch levels has some thing to do with this..as that is the only changewe had perfromed...i would keep u informed once i check back to this issue.

I also tried with and without your crossdomain.xml file but
with the same result. It looks like this file is intended for URL
policy, instead of socket policy. Recently Adobe separated the two.
When I run with the files installed on my dev PC, it does
work, which makes sense because the flash player isn't loaded from
an unknown domain.
I did get one step closer. If a crossdomain.xml in the server
root exists and the socketpolicy file is loaded from the app folder
then the first two warnings disappear. The logs now show:

UPDATE: When serving up the policy file on port 843 using the

Recently my MacBookPro locked up on startup. Could not get past a certain point of progress bar. I had upgraded to Yosemite few weeks back, with no issues. I ended up doing a Recovery with Time Machine and I got all my apps, photos, documents, etc. back okay --- except I got error messages that my "registration for Photoshop (I use CS4 Extended) and Photo Mechanic are no longer working". I worked on Photoshop first, and tried (several times) to fix it with their online help suggestions. Nothing worked.
Is there a simpler way to "get my licenses/registrations back"??? I am also going to contact Camera Bits about the Photo Mechanic issues. ThanksSame problem and for months now. I haven't been able to find a solution, but I suspect that's because I don't know exactly what's wrong.

Since these threads aren't merged, I'm posting the same in several threads.
I've had the screen blank problem, the sound and copmputer were still on. I took the IMac in twice, got home, still not fixed.
But they used their own keyboard in the shop and couldn't reproduce the problem. I switched keyboards and so far so good. It's been 3 days now.
I'll keep folks updated. Don't get a new graphics card before you try a new keyboard.
Be sure to take the batteries out of your keyboard when testing another one as the board does not turn off if it is like mine. -

I took it to d istore and since I had warranty they replaced my IPhone. It iPad charger has high volt than ur iPhone charger so when u connect wit it, there is a chance where large amount of current passes thru ur iPhone. So for sure it wil damage ur motherboard and its parts! Many said that iOS 6 or 6.0.1 or 6.1 was d reason for tis wifi prob! But apple never made its mistake wit it's software. If and only if u hav hardware prob u wil hav these sort of wifi prob Bluetooth prob! So best way s to replace ur iPhone!

I am using Firefox 3.6.8. Oddly, my problem appeared a few hours PRIOR to Firefox automatically installing the latest updates (the week ending 7/23), not afterwards. The problem is this: the browser continues to display tabs, the reload/home/history/favorites icons, URL field and Google search field while in full-screen mode, so it's not really full-screen anymore.
