Tx.ssd - WinGui transaction iView

Hi,
I have created a system, though not sure it has been completely successful. The connection-test gives a green light, but the transaction test found at System Administration/SAP Application/SAP Transaction (with proper data filled in) returns a dialog box asking me to download a file called tx.ssd. Unfortunately, downloading it does not help.
The same box appears when I try to preview an SAP transaction iView with WinGui (which is what I am trying to do).
The portal version is 6.0 SP 14. Sap WinGui is installed on the client accessing and browsing the portal, and the PCD path is less than 255 characters.
Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?
Suggestions will be highly appreciated, and solutions highly awarded!
Regards,
Stina.

HI Stina
Since the SAP GUI is not installed on server so u r unable to see the iview created with wingui
and u got message file download tx.ssd (open save)
wingui is installed on client machine so u r able to see the iview
if u have ITS installed than creat a webgui iview
and also configure ITS in Portal system

kaushal

    hi
    if i use SSF choice,
the SAPGUI should be configured with authorized user
Actually the SAP logon things i am configured in portal itself.
so using SSF before displaying the transaction, the user again need to enter the authorization.
so it is not meeting my criteria
please reply me if u got any other idea

  • Transaction iView (WinGUI): "Create Session" opens blank GUI

    Hi All,
we are using a SAP Transaction iView which displays the WinGUI in the portal and directly opens a SAP transaction.
The users are used to getting a new session with an already opened navigation tree (SMEN) by clicking "System --> Create Session". However, if the WinGUI is opened in the portal via a Transaction iView, "System --> Create Session" opens a blank GUI session where the users have to manually execute "SMEN" to get to the tree.
Is there any way to get the usual "Create Session" behavior as if the WinGUI were launched outside the portal and the transaction were entered manually?
    Thanks,
    Jens

    Hi,
first of all: Apologies... I had found another thread before which described the procedure you were hinting at (manipulating the PAR file) and I even had already downloaded the file from the PCD. But the user in the thread I found described another problem (the menu entry "Create Session" was missing altogether) so I thought this wouldn't solve my problem since we weren't missing this menu entry.
But you are right: I changed the parameters, deployed the PAR and restarted the portal - the problem is solved! New sessions now automatically show SMEN.
    Thanks a lot!
    Jens

  • Exit SSD Transaction Iview

After users exit from a SAPGui Session embeded in an SSD Transaction iView they are left with a blank useless browser window.
Does anyone know of a way to close the window when the SAPGui session has ended?
    Else.
Is there a way of outputting a message in the browser window informing the user to close it.
    Cheers

    Hi,
Transactional iViews are replica of SAP backend system. I dont think there is a way to hide these buttons. However, you can develop a custom webdynpro ABAP application as per your requirement.

  • Disable transaction box and menue from wingui with transaction iview

    Dear all,
has anyone a solution to disable or hide the menue and transactionfield in a portal transaction iview thats called with wingui.
    Webgui is no solution.
    Best regards
    Thorsten Stracke

    Hi Vineeth and Ramganesan,
thanks for quick response, this will be a option when all clients shoul use this behavior.
I search for a solution, where i can decided in a view to switch it of. Normally i can attach dynpro fields and values with the dynamicparameter, if this can use for hide .. the box or some functions in the gui state.
An other idea is to use a new status for the reports and transactions, but i don't know who use this as parameter.
    Best regards

  • Problem with SAP Transaction iView after Patch 34 install

    Hi All,
We're running EP6SP2 on AIX/Oracle and have currently upgraded from PL5 to PL34.
The problem we are now having is as follows:
We have an SAP Transaction iView that is using the 'Auto' method for the 'Technique to start SAPGUI for Windows' and the 'WinGui' as the 'SAP GUI Type'.
Now when we click on the iView we are getting the IE popup that asks us if we want to Save, Open, or Cancel the file open for tx.ssd
Prior to the patch upgrade we did not have this issue.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Robin.

    Hi Praveen,
    Thanks for the quick response.
I have seen those notes already and unfortunately they don't solve this specific problem.  These will solve the problem for the SSD method (.sap file) of starting the SAPGUI for Windows but not for the SSF method (.ssf file).
The main issue is that before the install of the Patch we did not get the popup, everything worked fine.  It doesn't make sense why we would have to change our IE settings now to get it to work properly.  It should work the same as before the patch.
Plus, I don't want to have to do an SMS push to all the PC's here to fix a problem with a Patch upgrade.
I have tried to add the .ssd and .sap types to the Mime section for the http service in the Admin tool but this hasn't fixed the problem either.
Also, I found that in Patch 31 SAP has made a change to the way the SAP GUI for windows starts.  After some searching I found that in the file WinGuiRenderLayer.properties under
the 'com.sap.appintegrator.sap/property/Transaction/' folder I see that it has some entries in it that look like they relate to the above mentioned fix for Patch 31. The lines in particular are:
    - # postfix for roundtrip URL - should help IE to detect the mime-type
    - SSF_URL_Postfix = /tx.sap
    - SSD_URL_Postfix = /tx.ssd
These lines were not in this file prior to implementing the patch and I believe that this may be causing the problem.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Robin

  • Transactional iview for "session_manager" not working

    Dear All,
we are creating transactional iview for t code  "session_manager", the problem we are facing is that it is not going to session_manager screen, instead of that it is going to S000 Transaction.
I tried using webgui also, but here I m facing some strange problem, it is using webgui for one user and for rest it is using wingui for others and again going to S000 t code.
Can you please give me some recommendations?
    Thanks,

    Hi Ganesh,
Are the Tcodes "Service_manager", S000 user defined tcodes?

  • SAP transaction iView not executing the transaction directly

    Hello guys,
having a little problem with SAP transaction iView I created - specified system, where the transaction is delpoyed. When I click on the page containing the iView, R/3 logon page comes up instead of the transaction itself being executed. The user and password are the same for the portal and R/3. Do I have to do the mapping then? I so, it would mean I would have to crate mapping for every single portal user. Isn't it possible to make the portal to automatically use the user id/password of the logged-in user?
Thanks a lot for any ideas at all,
    Frank

    Arun,
I am a bit confused now to be honest. If you mean 'SAP GUI Type' property, at the moment it is set to 'Select' value - it means that no value is selected. I already tried to use 'WinGui' but I couldn't get through to R/3 transaction either.
    We are using standalone ITS.
    Thanks,

  • Portal Transaction iView Button disabled

    Hello expert,
I wish know why the button on menu of Pop-Up Portal are disabled.
I created a SAP Portal Transaction iView:
    Image:
    http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/7001/helpsdn.jpg
And the button NEW WINDOW is disabled, but if I put on the field where we type transaction: /ose37
then, a new window will open because I used /o
My question is: Why this button - NEW WINDOW is disabled? How can I enable this?
    thanks.

The solution for other versions is explained in the same note. However the note says that the procedure is NOT recommended and NOT supported by SAP.
You will need to editi the WinGuiRenderLayer.properties and set -wp=false in the SSDCommandTemplate
For NW04 realease and above the WinGuiRenderLayer.properties can be found at:
    ../usr/sap/< SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/cluster/server< server#> /apps/sap.com/irj/servlet_jsp/irj/root/web-inf/portal/portalapps/com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap/property/transaction
(Make these changes in all the server nodes. A restart of the portal might be required after making these changes.)
Please note that if you change anything in this property file, it will be overwritten if a new version of application com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.par is delivered or when a new SP is applied.
It is also recommended to keep the original archive com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.par in a temporary folder and redeploy it if you encounter any side effects.

  • How to Call Transaction iView that calls RRMXP from Web Dynpro for ABAP

    Dear Experts,,
I'm developing an application in Web Dynpro for ABAP wherein I'm supposed to give a link that should open an SAP Transaction iView that calls  tcode = 'RRMXP' and I pass the application parameter as QUERY/WBID = <BI query/Workbook ID>.
I tried calling com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.bwc.Transaction iView, but it asks for system/application and GUI type parameters. How to pass through the URL?
Any help would be highly appreciated
    Regds,
    Srini

    Hi Wolfgang,,
My problem was that I was supposed to call the BeX Web Analyser ( a BI excel based tool - client installation) on click of a button in my WD-ABAP application. I solved it as follows :
In the portal pcd, I cam across a folder content provided by SAP. Here, you'll find standard template iViews that can be used to call applications ( for which you make iViews). I had to call an SAP TCode : RRMXP so as to call a BI Workbook/Query.
So, I called the standard iView template for sap_transaction_iView as follows :
    irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtmode/preview/prtroot/'
               'pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2ftemplates'
               '!2fiviews!2fcom.sap.portal.sap_transaction_iview?'
               'sap-config-mode=true&System=BWR3System&TCode=RRMXP'
               '&GuiType=WinGui&OkCode=y&ApplicationParameter='  <appnm>  into url.
          l_popup =
             l_window_manager->create_external_window( url = url
                                          has_menubar = ' '
                                         has_statusbar = ' '
                                          has_toolbar = ' '
                                          has_location = ' ').
          l_popup->open( ).
    And , it worked.
Any more help pls feel free to revert.

  • Hide back option from sap gui for windows in transaction iview

    Dear experts,
sir i m using sap gui for windows in transaction iview in the enterprise portal is there any process to hide the back option or hide command window(in which we write transaction) from the transations iview from the portal not from the registry please help sir............

    Hello,
We have faced the same problem and after two days investigating we think it is imposible to hide back button, toolbar ... via wingui (sapgui for windows).
So, be careful with the end user that has access to this iview/role, because he will see the transaction menu also.
I hope this clarify you a bit more.
    have a nice day.

  • SAP Transaction iView issue...Please guide...urgent

    Hello All,
    1. I created a SAP Transaction iView.
    2. Entered all the required WAS + ITS details and the connection tests are all successful.
    3. While creating the iView I selected SAP GUI for HTML as I need to display the the ITS Internet template (from Internet Service)
    Query:
    1. When I preview the iView, I see the GUI (standard SAP) format but not the webgui.
    Please guide.
    Systems - EP 7.0 SP9 & ECC 6
    Awaiting reply.
    Thanks and Warm Regards,

by default the iview uses the wingui - you need to change the SAP GUI Type (GuiType) attribute of your iview from wingui to webgui.
    That should solve your problem.
