TX2000 Screen Glare problem

Hi folks,
I just have a quick question regarding the TX2000. I can't use the screen in any daylight conditions due to the horrendous glare on the screen. I can only use it indoors with the curtains pulled.
-Is it possible to replace the screen with a non glare version? I don't care if I lose touchscreen as I don't use it anyway.
-If not, what is the best solution for the screen glare problem? I have tried some stick on glare screens, but found them all useless.
I would love to know how other users are managing in this situation.

It's the iMac's protective front glass that is causing the additional glare on the screen.
The actual TFT LCD screen is glossy, itself, and the additional front glass and the air space between the actual LCD screen and the protective glass causes extreme glossy look and glare and a slightly out of focus look.
Do as WZZZ recommends and look into purchasing a MacFrame.
I, absolutely, hated the glossy iMac screen and was getting serious headaches with only a short time of sitting in front of my iMac. As soon as I bought my iMac, I started my hunt for a good solution and found the MacFrame. Since removing the iMac's front glass and install a MacFrame, I can work at my Mac the way I used to.
The removal of the extra pane of glass doesn't completely get rid of the glare ( again, the LCD, itself, has a glossy, glass panel), but reduces the glare down to a more tolerable, and less eye straining level.
The MacFrame is just a black painted metal cover that covers over all of the ugly parts that show when you remove the iMac's front glass panel.
The MacFrame kit gives you everything you need to remove the iMac glass and re-install the MacFame in its place.
The difference in reduced glare is very noticeable and the screen actually looks clearer and sharper.
Store the original front iMac glass to protect it from getting broken or damaged.
You will need to reinstall this glass if you ever need to bring your iMac in for any servicing.

Hi, I would like to update you that my P 9981 touch screen problem have been solved after I configure the mobile network mode to be 3G only , beofre it was 3G and 2G .
since i did the change to 3G , the tiuch screen resposne was normal and never face the freezing problem again.

Screen glare can be a health hazard

Some people say that the glare from a glossy screen is not a problem because after a while, their eyes can get used to it.
Well, people may not notice the glare, but does it mean our vision will not be affected by glare over the long term? I don't think so.

Please start a new topic regarding the lines you see on your 24 inch iMac. It does not sound like it relates to screen glare as described in this thread. It sounds like a fault in the video memory, so if it occurs consistently, you need to consult the store where you bought your iMac. Apple are good at fixing hardware faults.

EHP1 Upgarde Monitor screen resolution problem in a support message

Hi Experts,
We have recently upgraded our Solution manager to EHP1, iam facing a screen resolution problem with 15 inch monitors.
Our key users have 15 inch monitors to their system and when they try to reply a support message under transaction data-> Overview tab -> reply it is showing only one line for them , due to which they are unable to enter the complete data in it.
How ever We have found that this does not occur with 17 inc monitors as the required screen resoution 1280* 1024 is possible due to bigger size of the monitor.
can any one suggest how to make the overview tab visible completely with small resolution monitors.

Mac Pro 2007 with Nvidia 8800GT screen redraw problems on Mac OS 10.5.2

I seem to be having a slight screen redraw problem. Such as when grabbing the browser window and moving up and down it seems the redraw can't keep up,also seems problematic when watching flash or other video online. It does it in the finder too for windows listings or in icon view there is a fluttering or flashing back and forth, kind of like a white super split second flash when dragging the window box smaller or larger not as bad as when making smaller. Hard to describe but my original Ge-force that I pulled was not having these characteristics. I figure that the drivers need tweaking. In windows I am not getting these results. I have newer boot camp installed as well as the leopard graphics update done so I am trying to see if others are having a slight problem or maybe it is me.
Also I make certain it is not heat related as I monitor that and it does not matter at what temp it is.

Here's another similar experience -- and my solution.
I bought a Quad-core 2.8GHz (8GB RAM) Mac Pro in May and got the "better" Nvidia 8800GT. I thought I was happy, but there were redraw issues after sleeping and a display "roughness" I found annoying. Upgrading to OSX 10.5.4 didn't help.
I found it to be mostly absent on startup, but sleeping the Mac would bring it on. I.e., after sleep, the relatiionship between the 8800GT would be different than before. when I logged out and in again, the problem woud vanish. No what I expect from a "superior" graphics card. I ascribed it to funky drivers from Apple.
The store I bought the Mac from offered to swap for my suggestion of an ATI HD 3870, so I went for it about a week ago.
This card is far smoother than the 8800GT and just as fast in rendering benchmerks for graphics. (I'm not a gamer.) I am a happy camper! There is no stuttering, oddball redraw, or jerkiness as there had been with the 8800. It's perfect! Never mind that it may be 5% slower for gamers, it feels faster for my use.
BUT NOTE: As I now see from reading several forums, I wasn't alone is getting a screaming-Mimi at first! The first 3870 ran at nearly full fan speed at power-up. The speed changed a little with resolution changes on my big Mitsubishi CRT monitor, and actually stopped when I switched to 1080x1920 @ 72Hz! Then the fan would start and quit, start and quit randomly -- convincing me it was defective.
I returned this RED-shrouded unit and the store replaced it, this time with (randomly) a BLUE-shrouded unit. (Slightly lower serial.)
Bottom Line: This replacement 3870 is quiet as a mouse! Fan runs near-silently at startup and after hours of regular use in a 75ºF room. I get the distinct feeling that a bunch of cards with wonky fan controllers were built, and some of us got 'em.
Bad News: The ATI HD 3870 does NOT support multiple refresh rates under Windows XP-SP2 booting the Mac Pro, with or without Boot Camp drivers installed. No version of the ATI drivers fixes this, and ATI does not officially support Boot Camp yet. You can choose a resolution okay, but you're stuck at 60Hz refresh -- a pain for those of us who hate 60Hz flicker. (I like 100Hz refresh.)

Nokia Lumia 1520 - Screen Brightness Problem

I have two Nokia Lumia 1520.
Both of them have the same problem. I will explain the problem to you in detail and before that let me assure you I am a Windows Phone long time user , have been part of the development , developed several apps for the platform and I have used Lumia 800 , 720 , 920 , 925 and now 1520. So I am well aware of all the settings , sunlight readability , automatic brightness etc. This problem is not due to any of these , I can assure you
Now the problem ,
I set the automatic brightness option OFF
I move the brightness to HIGH
Then I lock the phone
When I unlock the phone , the brightness drops by 10% suddenly without any intervention
This problem happens sometime. Some days I see this problem , some days I don't and there are few days where I see this problem very heavily.
I purchased another 1520 and it has the same problem. I am very sure , from my experience that this is a firm ware issue. This is NOT a hardware problem , but a serious problem from your software end. It is prudent that Nokia recognizes this problem and finds a solution to this. Interestingly , I am not the only one who is facing this problem , the whole globe is facing the same problem and for such a pricey phone , this is a frustrating experience - very frustrating. The phone is rock solid and amazing except this irritating problem.
I have only few days within which I can request a exchange from the merchant. So if any Nokia official can confirm that a software fix is on the way , it would be super helpful

I have Nokia Lumia 1520 Black.
I have also been facing the same problem with screen brightness.
The problem occurs only when the Brightness is in Automatic mode.
--> When the Brightness is set to Automatic mode & take out from dark location to bright location the display turns out to weird grey color.
--> And then if the brightness is set to low, medium or high display comes to normal.
Is this issue related to the hardware or software.
If it is related to the Software will you be able to fix it ? or else How about the replacing with the new one ?

Based on your description, Excel does not show the text strings when you typing. It may be caused by the cell format, if we set the cell format as ";;;" in custom format, it will not display the text that you typed.
And the issue may be caused by the third-party input method, there are some compatibility issue between them.
If the issue still exits, please try the following methods
Verify/install the latest updates
Repair your Office program

Did you check if there are no objects on that index slide that have a fading transition? You should set the transition for every object to 'No transition'. The transition can be found in the Properties dialog, tab Options.

Try this now.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Backup your files to a external hard drive and disconnect.
Call Apple and make a warranty call, then take it to the nearest Apple Store etc.
You can run these things and it might clear your issue or give further informaiton

Does it really matter whether anyone else has? If you have, that's a problem for you whether or not anyone else has experienced the same issue. Call Apple tech support or take the iPad to an Apple Store, if there's one in your area, and they'll replace the iPad unless it's determined that the problem was caused by some sort of accident rather than a factory defect.

Q10 Screen Sizing Problem in Blackberry 10.3

Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be a screen sizing problem in Blackberry 10.3.
When you wake the screeen with a gesture or pull the handset from the Q10 pocket, the screen that it "wakes" up to is enlarged, requiring the user to use the finger gestures to shrink it down to regular size.
Or have I just not mastered 10.3 yet?

I've sussed this one out!
It is not a problem with the screen resolution or the software update, I had within the accessibility settings the "Magnify Mode" enabled.
Disable this and the screen behaves perfectly..........
False Alarm. Sorry!
Revert to Defcon 5........... :-)
