Tx2690eo doesnt rotate, and pen pressure doesnt work

Yea, as I wrote as subject; My tx2690eo won't rotate when I put it in tablet mode, even if I push the rotate button. Furthermore, the pen pressure doesnt work in ANY drawing program. Everything worked just fine before I upgraded from vista to windows 7, but now I don't even know why I bothered to buy such a troublesome laptop. I've installed all drivers and stuff for windows 7, hoping that would fix the problem, but sadly nothing works. I also tried sending it for repair, but all they did was give me a new screen; so I got it back with all the same issues.
please help; has anyone else had the same troubles? if so; how did you fix it?
If this doesn't get fixed, I'm getting a mac next time.

mr2short91,
Here is a thread that talks about the use of the hover feature, if that helps.

If you followed these instructions and you were unable to enter recovery mode, I'm still leaning toward a hardware problem.  Also, since you have IOS-7, read this.  It might help.

  • Wacom Tablet Pen Pressure stops working in Photoshop after using Lightroom Local Adjustment Brush

    Hi all,
I am experiencing a problem with my Intuos Pro Medium (driver 6.3.9w3 on Windows 8.1)
I am using Lighroom 5.6 and Photoshop CC 2014.
I an get the pen pressure to work in Photoshop without any problem. However, if I go into Lightroom and use the Local Adjustment Brush and then transfer the photo into Photoshop (Right Click Edit In => Edit in Adobe Photoshop 2014 CC) then the pen pressure stops working in Photoshop.
Really frustrating... The only workaround is to close both Photoshop and Lightroom, then reopen Photoshop, then usually the Pen pressure feature starts working again.
Has anyone experienced this before or has any idea how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Guillaume

Your tablet driver isn't reporting pressure correctly.
The knockoff tablet drivers usually need to be revised for each new version of Photoshop (and we have no idea why).

  • Pen Pressure not working in Photoshop CS5.1

    Hello,
I've looked at a lot of questions and answers concerning pen pressure in this forum, and I've tried a lot of things to fix this problem. I have a Genius MousePen 6x8 and use Photoshop CS5.1. It's been a while since I used my tablet, but it used to work before. I rebooted my computer a while ago, so I installed the new driver from the Genius website. The tablet is working fine, even the pen pressure, but for some reason it just won't work in Photoshop. I've tried to fix it by resetting the Photoshop settings by using the Ctrl+Shift+Alt, I've reset the brush tool, I've played around with the brush options and nothing has worked.
Here is the image of the pen pressure working:
And here is the image of the settings for the brush and the pen pressure not working:
    Thank you for your time!

  • Pen pressure wont work with Elements 13

I am incredibly frustrated right now. I finally decided to upgrade my elements 8 to 13 because it was on sale. My Huion 580 tablet pen pressure functions work great with Photoshop Elements 8, so I assumed that I would not have a problem with Photoshop Elements 13. I have tried everything including playing with my tablet settings and brush settings in the program. Nothing will make the pressure sensitivity on the brush work! I know it is not a problem with the tablet because it still works just fine on my elements 8. The upgrade is useless to me unless I can get the pen to work. Any suggestions?
    thanks in advance

Which operating system are you using?
Does the tablet maker have any updated drivers?

  • Pen pressure not working. Tried everything.

Tried techniques in both Adobe and Corel.
Any suggestions on how to get the pen pressure to work would be greatly appreciated!

Notably Wacom has *just* released a new driver for their tablets to correct pen pressure issues, and at least one person has reported that it has corrected pen pressure problems.
I haven't read too carefully here, and I don't know if their driver could help you directly.  I just mentioned it because you said you saw Wacom people reporting problems too.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

  • I have windows 8.1 and a grapnics pad and touch pen. pressure not working in PS CC

I just bought a HomCom 10" 5080LPI Graphics Pade and Pen. Photoshop will not react to pen pressure. even after setting brush dynamics to pen pressure. Is there a patch or am I doing something wrong? All other functions of the pade seem to work fine, except pen pressure. Thank you in advance for any help in this area. I have check the forums and found no new info on this topic.

More often than not when a device isn't working it is because the driver has become corrupted. Re-installing a fresh copy should help

  • Pen pressure not working???

Yeah so, just the other day I was using my brush with pen pressure, but now its not working!!
I have no clue how that happened either!!
I keep trying to apply the pen pressure to the brush tool, but it doesn't show that there is any sensitivity to the brush! :O
I don't think its the tablet that is acting up, cause it seems to be working normal.
So I have no clue whats wrong with it!! I don't have to change the size jitter tho right? Cause I never had to before.
I had put in the control box at the top that I wanted to have pen pressure so that couldn't be the problem either.
I tried resetting the menus, and then setting the pallets back to defult, but neither helped.
Any ideas at this point would be helpful thoooo. Need to finish my works soon!!

Yeah thats exactly how I had it, but it won't show for some reason that I added that attribute to the brush???
Maybe restarting the computer will help??

  • CS3 Tablet PC, pen pressure not working.

    http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p101/Shokemn/photoshoppen.png
is what my settings for pen look like right now
but my issue is that theres no sensitivity every time i set it to "pen pressure" the little triangle pops up beside it saying I need a pen pressure sensitive tablet.
But I do have one, I have a tablet PC (laptop with a touchscreen) specifically its a HP Pavilion tx 2000.
What i'm hoping to have it look like:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p101/Shokemn/photoshoppenafter.png
any help would be super appreciated i dont know what to do at this point.

People report time and again that COMPLETELY removing the old driver, then installing the latest, does good things for them.
Photoshop, being an advanced application, demands a lot of the components it works with.

  • Tablet Pen Pressure not working

I got a M708 Ugee Graphics Tablet just yesterday, I was sketching on photoshop and pressure sensitivity was working fine, then later on the same day I re-opened my photoshop tab and pressure sensitivity was no longer working, I hadn't even restarted photoshop or anything.
I checked the brush window, It's set to pen pressure but there's an ! warning saying I need a tablet with pressure sensitivity (which I do have)
I can not seem to get it to work again, I've tried absolutely everything, I uninstalled and reinstalled my tablet driver, I also uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop, and I restarted my laptop multiple times, This issue is really bugging me and I'm getting quite desperate since I spent the last 2 hours trying to solve this issue, Any ideas what I can do?

If your tablet is a USB device, try a different USB port.
Also, you might want to contact the vendor to see if they have a compatibility issue with Photoshop CC(2014).
Adobe Photoshop from CC and backward was FLASH based.
Photoshop CC (2014) abandoned Flash and now uses HTML5.
Your tablet maker may not have ported their driver to run under CC(2014) HTML5.
If you still have Photoshop CC on your system, Try using the tablet there and see if it works ok.
If it does, then contact the tablet maker and see what issues they might have.

  • Bamboo Pen Pressure not working in Illustrator only

I've search up and down these forums and all over the internet and still can't seem to get pressure sensitivity to work in Illustrator. It works absolutely fine in Photoshop, so why not Illustrator? I'm using a Bamboo Model: MTE-450A. Any help would be very appreciated as I'm in the middle of a project and need pressure sensitivity!
    Windows 7 64 Bit
    Illustrator 64 Bit

I'm just new to Illustrator and using Bamboo Pen and Touch. As far as I can tell you can only get pressure sensitivity when using brushes.
If you double click on the brush in the Brushes Panel there is a drop down menu for width where you need to select Pressure and adjust the slider values to your prefered setting.
I have made my own brush using the ellipse tool and tapering the ends to points. This gives me a really nice stroke for drawing outlines almost as if the Pencil Tool was pressure sensitive.
    Hope this helps

  • Pen pressure not working properly!

Just installed Flash CC and tried using the Brush tool and the pen pressure isn't working properly! I have a Wacom Cintiq 24HD, I'm using Pen Pressure and Tilt and there is a serious lag between when I start drawing and when Flash starts to preview what I'm drawing (roughly two seconds). Once Flash starts the preview, the line I've been drawing jumps from where I start to the current position of the cursor without registering any curve I drew beforehand. It is seriously frustrating! Does anyone have the same problem?

    Hi Jackimo,
The issue is reported and we are tracking it.We will try to get it resolved asap. You can have a look at the thread for the detail :http://forums.adobe.com/message/5454376#5454376.

  • CS4 and pen pressure problem

When drawing with the brush or the clone stamp brush now and then strokes are drawn at full pressure even though that is not the case. The next strokes are ok again for a while and then again... a few strokes like they there was no pen pressure. Very annoying when retouching masks.
I already installed the latest Wacom driver but no joy.
    What else could I try?
My graphics card doesn't have OpenGL capacities so I don't think that's the problem or could it?
Also CS4 is much slower than CS3 in updating the screen. Related?
    Tips welcome...
I am a long time user of Photoshop (since 2.5) but I think CS4 will be the first upgrade I will skip although I love the new adjustments and masks panels...
Windows XP Pro, 4 Gigs of Ram, Matrox Millenium card, plenty of sratch disk space.

I had exactly the same problem with my Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.
The solution is to go into Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Device Manager>Human Interface Devices and disable Wacom Virtual Hid Driver.
I found that somewhere on the Wacom site and it does it for me.
I'm not sure but I think it started when I updated the Wacom drivers to try and solve another problem.
Can I ask, if you press CNTRL-ALT-DEL to start task manager, does that disable your pen until you select the Task Manager button? That came with the latest driver too.
