Txt message nto working

why the *** the messagin app is not able to send txt mesage to two or more receipants at a time, when i am able to send the same message to both of them seperately....as it is sending to each person properly, its not prob with SIM/wifi/messaging center number or any other stuff, except for a bug in windows 8! what the hell is goin on ??? can some one please explain the reason for this kind of stuff?

To send a text to multiple recipients you need to tap on the + symbol on the top right of the screen then tap the "Select" icon on the bottom bar. Your recipients list will now have a check box next to each name which you can use to select multiple recipients. When done just tap on the tick icon on the bottom.

How do I use a MyVerizon ringtone I received in the form of a txt message? The long touch method on the media does not work, btw.

I purchased a ringtone on My Verizon via my computer. They sent me txt message with the media but I can't figure out how to save it as a ringtone. The long touch method doesn't work. It's not anywhere in my media files, and frankly I just joined verizon but they have proven a bit difficult. On thin ice already, this isn't helping.

Have you managed to save it to your phone? If so, download a file explorer app (like Estrongs file explorer) from the Play Store. Open up the file explorer app and navigate to the "Download" folder. Scroll through your downloads to locate the ringtone file. Select it and use the file explorer's copy or cut function to put the ringtone file in the clipboard. Back out of the "download" folder to the "sdcard" level. Then look for a "ringtones" folder. Select it to open it and view the contents. Using the file explorer, paste the ringtone file to that folder. Back out of the file explorer app. The ringtone will now be available in the "phone ringtone" selection list.

Hi Chris thanks for the reply , my iMessage was working until I listened to voda domes instructions to do a network reset now it's says waiting for activation , I have reset the phone I have a SIM card change as Vodafone thought my SIM card was faulty and took the phone back to the shop and changed it for a new one , I've been on many forum sites and a lot of people are having the same problem as I can send a txt message bit can't receive them Andy account is set up correctly on vodafones side ... I am we'll and truly lost for ideas on what to do .

on my alias 2 i was able to assign a ringtone to all txt messages
Q. why can't this be done on my new Samsung Galaxy Note ll
under the message setting I can select notification setting with a ck mark and under ringtones I can select a tone.
But your stuck with the default tones that are preloaded into the phone and you can not download new tones or
assign ringtones that you have dl and purchased for txt message alert or notifications.
Which i find really crappy because now I am not getting my txt messages in a time manner.

How familiar are you with android phones?
You can use a custom notification tone for all your text messages. If you are wanting control over individual contacts for their text messages, you need a third party app.
To get custom notification tones, you have to copy your ringtones to the "notifications" folder in the phone internal storage space. The OS will likely have already created the folder. You can also put it on the external SD card, but works better in the internal memory. To copy the files to this folder, you can use a file explorer app or connect the phone to a computer and use the computer's file manager to copy and paste the files.

Txt message freezes while sending since iso7

When I go to send a txt message or reply to a message my phone is freezing during the sending process. Not delivering the txt. I have done the setting-general-reset-Reset Network settings, then it works for a little while, and again it freezes again. I have had to reset 2 times in the last day. I have also had to reset my enite phone to factory setting b/c school sits stopped allowing access. Once I reset it works again. HELP!

I have this question too. I am using iPhone 5 with iOS7 upgrade on AT&T...it freezes during send of texts (all types, simple text only msgs and pics have same problem). Dual button reboot fixes for a bit then re-occurs.

TXT Message Conversation Order

A massive blackberry fan, but so far dissapointed in so many ways by the Z10!
I'm really hating (unless there is a solution) that when you receieve a txt message and read it, the conversation order seems to be based on the oldest message rather than the newest, unless this is a bug. e.g. I have a message from someone on 1st of Jan. I recieved a txt yesterday, but once I read it it vanished, and only when i scrolled down did I find the message at the bottom of the pile. Surely this should be at the top based on the last txt from the conversation not the first one.
Blackberry - Need to get their act together. I've stuck with them, recommended to my business, installed BES, and 50 devices, but very dissapointed. Doesn't work with current BES server, doesn't sync with outlook very well. Apps selection awful - No sky apps, and Sky have said no plans for ANY, so I'm worse off than my 9900 bold. Can't even run the same apps. Whatsapp not available yet. As a massive fan, I'm so very dissapointed,

if you have a BlackBerry10 device, and want to connect it to your Exchange server, there are only three possibilities:
use IMAP/POP for email
use ActiveSync for email/contacts/calendar
use BES10 for the whole set
BES and BES Express will not see BlackBerry 10 devices. if you want the whole set, then you can either migrate for free from BES4/5 to BES10, or wait to see if BES10 Express is released (I know the question is not officially decided yet at BlackBerry's).

It's okay for an app to be late (well, it is not okay but everybody is used to that now). On the other hand I do not think it is okay for Sky to say "no, not planned".

I am an early adopter, I participate in beta zone testing too, so I know what it feels like when the quality delivered at first is below your expectations.

6500 slide txt message poblem

hi i hope someone can help.
When i go to send a txt message via create message i get to select the recipients number in the contacts list but when i go to add it the phone switches itself off and goes back to the start up screen.If i enter the number manualy it will send and also if i bring the name up via contacts and select send message i will also send the txt.
This is very confusing

I think this is a bug.
Can you try and return the phone for a new fixed one as your one is not working as it should.

Hello jn_andrade,
It sounds like you are no longer getting text messages becuase your Apple ID is still using your phone number for iMessage. I would use these steps to unlink your phone number from your account:
Unlink a phone number
To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.
Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.

Cant receive or send txt messages on my LG Cosmos

Just started yesterday, I cannot receive or send txt messages but I can make calls. I have tried the *228 reset, pulled the battery, did the full phone reset, did the settings deal all to no avail. I called customer service and tech support and they told me to do the same thing to no avail, does anyone have another fix. This is very frustrating, I dont think its fair that they try to make you get another phone to start a new 2 year contract. Thanks.

Not being able to message all day can definitely cause a lot of frustration. We're not looking for you to upgrade for this service to function. Messaging should work as long as the device is working with it. What happens when you try to send a message? What happens when someone sends you a message? Please tell us more so we can get this ultimately resolved for you.

Txt Messaging Problems - forwarding/mass txts

Why can't I send out txts to more than one person at a time... or at least forward a txt message? I'm having a bbq today and wanted to send invitations to my friends via txt, but I can't do it with the iphone unless I want to retype the txt each time. Even my old outdated phone could do that without any problems. Any solutions in the works?

Intermittent TXT Messaging Issue

Within the last 2 weeks I have been having an intermittent, but increasing txt messaging issue with people. It started by them recieving jumbled messages at fir and has now morphed into them not always getting my txt messages. I have cleared all the caches, restarted the device numerous times, change from messages to normal messages. Even turned on the delivery reports (which don't come back either) when sending if the message doesn't go through. I have been using the phone with no issue since it shipped and have only started having this issue with the last couple of weeks and as of last night a msg they sent me took 3 hrs. to arrive. Any help would be appreciated as it mainly affects the prson I txt most and is very annoying and unreliable. If I can't communicate with this person I may have to switch carriers.

It's important that your text messages are working properly, gurv07728. I appreciate the steps that you have taken on your own. Are you using the default text message application? If you send a message to yourself do you receive it right away?

After reading what you have posted, I checked my iPhone 4S. When looking at messages in settings, my receive at has 2 addresses, my phone number and my Apple ID email address. The phone number is "under intensified" as you describe it. Checking the Caller ID, it shows my phone number and Apple ID email. The phone number is checked. This all seems to be the same as you describe yours. My text messages are all working as they always have, and they are showing as coming from my phone number. Both to people that I iMessage with and people that I can only text with. I'm not sure why you say texts are being sent from your Mac email. Did someone receive a text that shows the email as the return address?

Cannot send txt messages from my iPhone to a android galaxy gear 3

My husband switched from an iPhone to a galaxy note three and kept his old cell number. Now he cannot receive texts from any other iPhones including mine.
Research on Internet indicates this is common issue when an iPhone user switches to an android device and keeps old number from iPhone! Problem does not happen with new android devices .any workable solution known? So far suggestions in forums have not helped. APPLE store personnel uninformed reissue,as well as Best Buy personnel.
