TXT MSG Alert ringtone too low....Pls Help

I recieved HTC trophy today and all my excitement was vanished when I found that the Alerts available on phone for text messages & Emails are too low.
I manage a Data Center and our Monitoring servers in Data center sends txt messages when anything goes wrong in Data Center.
With HTC trophy the alert ring tones are merely chimes and can hardly wake me up if any APP/Server goes down in DataCenter.
Is there any option available on Trophy to add ringtones for Alerts or use other ringtones already on the phone as TXT message alert?
This issue is a deal breaker for me. and any help in this regard would be highly appreciated.

Hi ifi71:
It sounds like text messaging is an important feature to you, and you need it to be loud. If the native tones don't seem to work for you, you can download a ringtone management program from the Marketplace. There are several free ones to choose from. Once you get a better alert downloaded, just change the sound setting to ring with that new tone.

It appears that I have provided incorrect information. The assumption that you can do this on Windows Mobile phones was incorrect. I had one in-hand and assumed that alerts could be downloaded like ringtones, but according to bc3tech , it's not possible. This is not customizable like on all other operating systems. If this is a deal breaker for you, perhaps another device would suit you best.

IPhone 5, iOS 7: Alert/Ringtone volumes low...

I updated my black 32gb iPhone 5 to iOS 7 last week and one of the very things I noticed was how many missed calls/texts I had. I couldn't understand why until I went to change my tones to something more attention grabbing.... I noticed that the volume of the alerts and ringtones, including the classics, are too low to be useful. At first I thought it was my imagination until I went to work and my coworkers IDENTICAL phone started ringing, and boy did it sound great. Clear, crisp, loud. I compared her phone running iOS 7 to mine and there was a huge difference in the ringtones & alerts.
So, now that I know it's not just my imagination - I have spent all day looking for other people having this same issue. I have found a few, but nobody has a solution. This is occurring on not only the iPhone 5 but also the iPhone 4 & 4s - but not to everyone. That would lead me to believe that there may be a hardware issue with my phone but here's the rub: It sounded loud, crisp & clear when I was using iOS 6.1.4. So a software issue? If so why wouldn't it be affecting everyone and not just a few of us? This is beyond baffling and frustrating...
Before I take this phone to Apple (thank goodness it is under warranty) I was wondering if anyone here has experienced this issue and FIXED IT. What I've tried so far is turning the volume down and up, turning up all volumes not just the ringer and restoring the phone to factory settings through iTunes. None of it worked (thus this post), therefore as I said if anyone has a solution to this prior to me making the several hour journey to the Apple store I would love to know what it is. I have experienced the same issue of low ringer volume and the penny dropped when music settings came up. I hooked up bluetooth last night to a sound system and changed EQ from bass booster to late night to increase volume on music played from my iPod, which worked, incidentally. I turned off bluetooth and changed EQ from late night to flat and issues were resolved. Turned bluetooth back on played music checked ringtones and volume and not working again. So. Sounds aren't cooperating when bluetooth is enabled for sound I'm guessing. It's the only bluetooth device I'm using now. The same problem exists with TEXT SPEAK which is what I was attempting to get iPhone to do when this ordeal started! I'm exhausted with the minutia of iPhone 5, iOS7 and all things Apple!

Nach einem Update in der vergangenen Woche sind die Klingeltöne auf meinem iPhone so leise, dass ich sie kaum noch höre und etliche Anrufe und Meldungen verpasse.
After an update last week all ringtones on my iPhone 4 are extremely low so I hardly hear them and miss lots of call and messages.
Inzwischen habe ich ca. fünf Stunden mit dem telefonischen Support verbracht. Die generelle Aussage war, dass es bisher noch nie ein vergleichbares Problem gegeben habe. Ich habe inzwischen herausgefunden, dass dieses Problem schon lange bekannt ist und ich bin deswegen sehr unzufrieden mit der Kundenbetreuung. Tatsächlich tauchen die Probleme regelmäßig bei Updates auf. Mit Google habe ich etliche Seiten zu diesem Thema gefunden.

Ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass der Apple-Support von diesem Problem nichts weiß. Es scheint bei allen bisherigen Updates nach dem 4er iOS immer wieder dieses Problem gegeben zu haben - betroffen sind davon immer nur ein Teil der Modelle. Anhand der IMEI-Nummern sollte sich ermitteln lassen, wann und wo diese Geräte produziert worden sind.
I wouldn't believe the apple support does not know this problem.It seems like ALL iOS updates past iPhone 4 had this issue - only for some devices, not the whole model.It should be possible to track down by IMEI-Numbers, where and when the devices have been produced and what's the difference to iPhones which work ok.
Es sieht nicht so aus, als seien die Geräte defekt. Vielleicht unterscheiden sich die Modelle nur gering in der Hardware und werden in der Softwareentwicklung nicht berücksichtigt.
It doesn*t look like the devices are defective. I suspect minor differences in the hardware are not really considered in software development.

Okay, so here is what happend.
I deleted the song from my library since iTunes would not allow me to delete it from the purchased item list. Then i pluged my phone into my computer and got this message:
"iTunes has found purchased items on the iPhone “Paul’s iPhone” that are not present in your iTunes library. Do you want to transfer these items from this iPhone back to your iTunes library?"
I selected "Transfer" and it showed up with a dotted circle next to it where a a song number would normally be displayed. Then fter a couple of minutes the dotted circle magically dissapered and was replaced by a number just like all of the other songs in my library.
And best of all...it plays!!!

Txt Msg Alert Bug

I've noticed that when I receive over 50 txt messages from a single person the MSG alert never seems to go away.
Like when I get 105 unread messages, I go and check the 105 messages and it seems to subtract 50 and still says I have 55 unread messages. So then I hit "Load Earlier Messages" and it still says I have the same amount of unread messages.
I clear the messages in the chat and it still says that there are 55 unread messages. When I check my phone it shows that there are no unread messages (b/c there are no blue dots near any conversations).
The alert seems to go away only after removing the chat log all together from the text message menu.
If someone at Apple can look into this it would be greatly appreciated. It gets annoying because I can't archive all my messages without it showing a bunch of "unread messages" even though I read them.

HT1766 i couldn't play my ipad as there is a window pop-out telling that my ipad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this ipad is pluggud in, locked and connected to Wifi. Pls help to repair and solve this problem

Do a device reset as outlined below. This will clear the message and allow you to use your device again.
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

I have purchased the whatsapps via credit card today at USD0.99 but it does not apprear in my iphone 5 yet. Pls help!

Disconnect your devices then reboot your computer.
Before connecting your devices again reboot your devices. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Too low ringtone n msg tone

i recently bought nokia 3500 which is s40 3rd edition.... when i recieve a call or a msg the tone is very low... sumtimes itz really hard to hear it if ur standing in a place wid noises... so any1 can help me figure out how can i increase my tone level... i already set my tone volume to max n the ring style z "ringing"..

The instructions for using it to raise the volume are the same as the instructions posted there for using it to lower the volume.
One more thing.
At the top of screen, click on "Options" and you'll see this option:
"Don't clip when doing track gain"
When this is checked, MP3Gain will try to raise the volume as close as possible to the value you specified; but it will stop short of that value if that value will cause the ringtone to be distorted.
Omitting the checkmark will remove this restriction

The phone randomly shutting down-that could be a hardware issue. Do you live near an apple store? they could see whats up with the phone. It could very well be something in the software though. A good way to test it would be to follow this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 and test it for a few days. If it doesn't do the shutting down thing, you know it's a software issue. If it still does it, you know it's a hardware issue.
As far as deleting the apps, they'll always be there. Just make sure there's not a check mark next to them and they won't sync to your phone =]

Sorry if this is too basic or confusing
Apparently in iOS 8 there are different volume settings for different applications
The setting on the home screen does not carry over to Pandora for example and it is different ( or at least appears to be) for the in-car experience.
So I would try to stream the music when not in the car - see if you can turn the volume up and then try again in the car
Please let us know what happens

Hello Crimson_Night and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
If you go into the Media player, are you able to hear the tones?
Try clearing out the Sounds/Profiles database as shown in KB10167 and reconfigure them.

Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call.

Well, you can try easing the shift key up with something thin but flexible (credit card sort of thing) but if the contacts below are stuck you may need to get it seen to by an authorised repairer.
If you can borrow a keyboard (a PC one will probably work as long as the password is alpha-numeric with no special characters) you can at least get in to backup your HD before going for repair.
