Type changed in saved Photoshop document

Use trial of Photoshop. Seems like more questions than progress! I created a document several days ago. Today when I try to open it the type faces have changed. Looks like this was a problem in CS6 also. Not solved or same problem new edition? Any ideas how to solve?
Thanx in advance

Good day!
I think you don’t give enough information for a sensible attempt to troubleshoot the issue.
In any case I can’t remember having observed something similar in Photoshop CC, CS6, CS5, CS4, CS3, …
Please read these and proceed accordingly:

  • When saving photoshop file in PDF, my document changes, how do I solve this?

    Hello everybody,
Im trying to save my CS6 files as PDF documents. When I save my files as PDF some texts or images disappear or deform.
Is there anything i'm doing wrong?
Is there a setting I need to change for saving my files so they don't change?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,
Which operating system and version of photoshop cs6 are you using?
You can find out the exact photoshop cs6 version by going to Help>System Info from within photoshop and looking at the very first line that says Photoshop Version.

  • Closing and saving spreadsheet changes in the same document?

Closing and saving spreadsheet changes in the same document? There are several drop-down options for saving a spreadsheet in Numbers except saving to the existing spreadsheet. Excel has a 'save' or 'save as' options what are the equivilents in Numbers?
    Thanks for any response,
    Larry

    Hi Larry,
Menu > File > Save (command s) will save the document. If it has not already been saved, it will offer "Untitled" as the name. Type a name and choose a folder.
Numbers (and any app on OS X Mavericks) has Menu > File > Save, and Menu > File > Duplicate.
To see Save As... hold down the option key when using the File Menu. "Duplicate" will change to "Save As..."

The file was corrupted somewhere along the way (assuming it was still readable on the Macintosh).
The platforms don't matter, but you still need file transfer that doesn't corrupt files...

  • Purchase requisition document type change after Enhancement pack 4

    HI,
we have recently upgraded to enhancement pack 4, after which i am not able to change purchase requisition document type.
In change mode ME52N, the system is allowing to make change but when i goback and display the same PR again the change is not visible in change history also.
I am able to make other changes. facing the problem with change in document type only.
    Regards,
    Raghu

    Hi,
One thing please note that once you select the document type and draft the PR and save the PR, you will  get the doc number.
Once you get the document number you cannot change the PR document type .
The reason is document type is linked with number range so it cannot be changed because different seriers of document number is assined to differentdocument type.
And moreover document type is linked with the screen settings also. So I would request you to check the settings for each doc. type

  • Cannot change Transaction Type (COBL-RMVCT) for posted documents. (FB02)

    Hi guys,
I'm encountering some problems with Document Change Rules. I already configured in SPRO the line item change rules for Transaction Type (COBL-RMVCT).  I already set it to "Field can be changed" but the system still does not allow changes. I also set it for all account types and company code, but still no luck. I hope somebody can assist me since we require that the transaction type be editable for posted documents. Thanks!

    Hi
I am not sure about the reason for why the "changing" is not working.
However, thought I should give my experience and opinion on this.
I have not seen a system that allows "Transaction type" to be changed. If allowed, in my opinon it is similar to allowing the cost assignment field such as cost centre, profit centre or an order being allowed to changed. Thus should not be changed once posted. Further is these are allowed to be changed the imact to the prevous reported data will have to be estimated. E.g. if the transaction types are used for consolidation what is the impact of changing previous month data.

  • Change the Invoice accounting document type RV to some other

    Dear Friends,
I need to change the Invoice accounting document type RV to some other, how can I accomplish this
    Kind Regards
    Ravi

You want to change the doucment type after you have posted the document, you can do so, by following config
IMG . Financial aaccounting > Financial aaccounting basic setting > Document > Rules for changing document > Document change rules document header.
If you are posting through FB60, you can go to EDITING OPTION once you are in FB60 screen. And under Document type option, select Entry with short name
    Thanks

  • Photoshop document changes to 72 dpi from 300 dpi when receiver opens it.

I created an ad for the newspaper at 300 dpi. I emailed it and received a call it was at a low res of 72. I know I created it and saved it properly. I researched and found I should uncheck the resampling box when saving the document. I did that and resent, same issue.
I have recreated the ad over 20 times and sent it all with the same issue. I just hung up from Adobe after spending over an hour on the phone with them, having them take over my computer, e-mail it himself after creating his own 300 dpi document and the same result. Basically, Adobe is telling me it isn't their problem, it is my server. I sent it from Yahoo and Microsoft and still 72. Even sending as Tif, 72 dpi.
I am at a loss. I don't know what else to try and this ad needs to be in the newspaper in 2 days.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm desperate.
    Thanks,
    Mary

It is very usual for many applications (such as the receiving party must have) to open JPEGs at 72 ppi by default but without resampling, i.e. maintaining the exact number of pixels, so many pixel wide by so many pixels high.
It is then a trivial matter for the recipient to change it back to 300 ppi without resampling to go back  to your original.
    Incidentally, it's ppi not dpi.
The fact that you say the resolution and the size (pixel dimensions, or so many pixels wide by so many pixels high) does change makes me suspect that you may be using Apple's "Mail" program to email your files.  Mail is notorious and (in)famous for reducing the size of your attachments at will if it deems it appropriate or necessary, as in "nobody in his right mind would want a JPEG that big!"  Grrrrrr…
Ideally, you should switch to a decent email program.  I use MS Entourage, part of MS Office.
The workaround is to archive or "zip" your image files before attaching them to Apple's Mail, so that you end up with an archived or zipped file that Mail can't touch, as it won't even know it's an image file.
If you are not using Mail, you'll have to continue troubleshooting.

  • Where to change posting key for Document type RG?

    Hi ,
May I know where is IMG path to change posting key for Document type RG?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Posting key is not assigned to the document types.
Posting key can be assigned to a particular trnsaction event etc., for example in OB40 for each transaction key in tax area, you can ddefine the posting key for bedit and credit.
However you have the option to create a validation to check that this particular document type is allowed to be posted with certain posting keys. Validation can be created in OB28, GGB0. The details are available in SDN. Please search that.

  • Saving different folders within one photoshop document

Hi - I'm trying out Creative Cloud for future membership - so I guess trying the community may be helpful.
    Here's my problem.
I have split two versions of a same visual into folders within my photoshop document (one French - one English) and saved the document to work on it later.
When I open it now, all I see is only 1 full visual (English) flattened into one layer. i.e. I lost the French version completely and I no longer have my layers to correct the English version.
    Are those really lost?
    Can you help?

Is it possible that you created each language as a layer Group but saved the file in jpg format? In any event, if at this point you have only a one layer file, it is safe to assume you have to begin again. Should you elect to do that, consider using Photoshop's Layer Comps feature rather than layer groups. It will help you avoid duplicating layers that appear identically in both versions and assure design continuity .

  • Photoshop crasht when saving a document on the externe HD, witch is connect with the TC

    Hi,
I have a Problem, I have 2 macs connected to 1 Time Capsule. The Time Machine works perfect. But when I am working in Adobe Photoshop, and I want to save the Photoshop document on the extern Harddisk (connected to the Time Capsule) Photoshop crash, and when I force stopp Photoshop, the whole Mac crash, and I have to reboot!
    Can anyone please help us!
    Thanks!

Use external hard disk on the TC for backup.. do not use it for current files.. it is extremely slow.. it is likely to spin up and spin down issues.. it is highly likely to corrupt the files. Use local disk for the current project.. or plug external disk directly into the Mac.. hopefully using the fastest port you have available. When you complete the project you can move it to the TC external drive. TM will also have made a backup of it. But once you move a project TM can delete it at some unknown future point. TC has no way to back itself up so make sure you keep at least a couple of copies of any work you do.

  • PSE 9.0 error: ".....not a valid photoshop document"

Platform is XP Pro...camera is Canon compact digital.
I downloaded photos to desktop folder. PSE allowed me to open the first 3 photos from the folder to edit, then I got the above error message.
However, when I right click on the photo in the desktopp folder to "open with Photoshop Elements" the PSE 9.0 editor opened all the photos.
    WHY?
    TIA,
    Doc

I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to share my experience and solution in case anyone else runs into this.
The other day, I spent many hours editing some photos for a client. I saved them all and closed Photoshop. When I tried to open the .PSDs, they all came up with this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error. I was freaking out. I could see the thunmbnails and previews with the MacOS Finder and could see the images just fine in Lightroom, but couldn't open them in Photoshop CC.
Finally, I remembered that these were NOT supposed to be .psd files! They were supposed to be TIFFs. What happened was, when I edited them from within Lightroom into Photoshop, they opened as TIFFs. However, when I did "save as", I wanted to name them similarly to some other files I had. I clicked on one of the existing files to copy the file name in the Save As dialog to make it easier to name the new file I was saving, but I didn't realize it was changing the file extention from ".tif" to ".psd" as well. The older MacOS (version 9 and earlier) didn't rely on file extensions fo identifying file types, so it didn't hit me right away that this would be the problem. When I changed the incorrect .psd file extension to .tiff, the files opened in Photoshop just fine.
SO... if you run into this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error, try figuring out if it's actually another file type (.jpg, .tif, .png, etc) by either getting the file info from another program or just experimenting with different file extensions. Chances are good that your file isn't actually corrupt, but just named improperly!

  • "...not a valid Photoshop document" error when opening Mac cc file on PC

I get a "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document." error message whenever I try to open up a PSD file created on a Mac using Photoshop CC on my PC using CC. Other people have been able to open the file from the same location, so the files aren't corrupted. Anyone know how to fix this?
