Type(font) color problem?

every time i type sometnig new font color changes to black
before i start typing i chose some color for example red and when select type tool(t) and click where i want to type color chage to black?
why?

always state what version you are using changing the current fill and/or using maintain appearance does not apply to the character color text it defaults to black because that is the color of the default character style either use your colored text to redefine the default character style or create a new character style based on the type settings you want

    Hi,
    What is the exact name of the desktop app you have?  Is it "Acrobat Reader DC", "Acrobat Pro DC" or "Acrobat Standard DC"?
    (Previously, your question was posted to the wrong forum - the Reader/Acrobat DC mobile forum.)
    If you have the paid product ("Acrobat Pro DC" or "Acrobat Standard DC"), you can contact Adobe Customer Care.

  • Font color problems in one forum

    I'm in a classical music forum--for at least 3 years I could post and reply to messages with my blackberry with a minimum of difficulty.  However in the last month when I go to post my reply before I reach the submit option on the screen the font color boxes the forum offers now appear and there are many color choices.  It takes a long time to scroll down to where I have to be to hit submit?  Is there any option on the blackberry to avoid having to do this?   Can I eliminate having to see these big colored boxes every time I post or reply?  Any help would be appreciated.  Regards, Len

  • Font color problem upgrading from 1.3.1 to 1.4.2_02

    I have noticed when we upgraded from 1.3.1 to 1.4.2_02 that JLabel font color is now black - it used to be blue. Does anyone know how to make the font color of JLabels revert back to the original blue without specifically calling setForeground() on each label?

    Sun has changed in the class MetalTheme the method
    JDK 1.3.1: public ColorUIResource getSystemTextColor() { return getPrimary1(); } into
    JDK 1.4.2: public ColorUIResource getSystemTextColor() { return getBlack(); }
    Just insert the following lines at the beginning of your main-method:
    MetalLookAndFeel.setCurrentTheme( new DefaultMetalTheme()
    { public ColorUIResource getSystemTextColor() { return getPrimary1(); }
    try{ UIManager.setLookAndFeel( "Metal" ); }
    catch( Exception e ){ e.printStackTrace(); }
    Now you have the old colors

  • How to change the font color in a strict type def programatically

    Could someone suggest a way to change the font color of a string indicator in a strict type def cluster programmatically? The cluster contains a label that is color-coded to match the function of the data channel represented by that cluster.  The function of each channel is not predetermined, so the font color needs to be changed programmatically.  To represent all channels, I have arranged a large cluster that contains 100 instances of the control.  This makes it essential that the control be strictly type defined in order to change the layout of the clusters uniformly.
    Can anyone suggest either a method by which I can let the control remain a strict type def and change the font color, or a method by which I can programmatically change the control from a strict type def to a type def?  Currently, I am saving the control as a strict type def every time I make a change and then saving it again as a type def when I am ready to run the program.  This works fine, but just seems inelegant.  This color-coding is used throughout the program in various indicators, so a neat solution would be greatly appreciated.

    As mentioned in my Nugget on Type definitions you can create strict type-defs that contain type-defs.
    If you make your data definition a type and put that definition in a strict type-def (one of each flavor) you can use the appropraite strict type where each is required.
    Yes the data structure will have another level of nesting so if you are "too far gone" you may not like this idea.
    Otherwise you can write a VI that opens the typed-def and do a "save as..." and use it everytime you edit the type-def.
    I hope something helps!

  • How do I change the font color in Live Type?

    How can I change the font color in Live Type?

    By trial and error, I also learned that the slide icon just to the right of the color box must be moved to the right in order for the new color to be visible. Of course, the amount to which the slide is moved determines the intensity of and color. Thanks for putting me on the right track (no pun intended).

    My typewriter toolbar is graying out the ability to change font size, type, and color.

    Here's what I have done in the past. Maybe not elegant, but
    it works. (I
    use PHP, but I'm sure you can modify for ASP.)
    In the HEAD of each web page, include regular old embedded
    STYLE tags,
    but INCLUDE an external PHP file:
    <head>
    <style type="text/css">
    <?php include('styles/testcss.php'); ?>
    </style>
    </head>
    Now in that included PHP file, just have CSS code which pulls
    in your
    dynamic data. Here's an example snippet:
    body {
    color: #600;
    background-color: <?php echo
    $row_recordset['bgcolor'];?>
    Of course, you'll need the code for the recordset somewhere
    too.

  • Problem with True Type font

    I have a Windows True Type font (Palatino Linotype, purchased directly from Linotype) that I use in my PowerPoint presentations in order to provide compatibility with my benighted PC-based clients. I just installed Leopard (a Christmas present from my family!), and this font is not working properly in Word.
    Two letters are bad: i and j. There is extra space inserted after the letter i whether upper or lower case. There is no space around the letter j: if I type 10 consecutive j's, I see only one.
    It was working fine in Tiger. It works fine in Excel, PowerPoint, and Mail (i.e., it displays correctly and prints correctly). The error only occurs in Word and persists when I send the file to the printer, and also persists if I print to PDF or Preview. The error is visible in all layouts of Word.
    I checked out 10-12 other fonts, including several other TTF fonts, and they are all okay. I also tried moving the font from my user Library to the System Library, and taking it out of the folder that it came in, but the effect is the same.
    I have the latest version of Word (11.3.8). I have updated my initial install to 10.5.1. I do not have any special drivers loaded. My machine is pretty much plain vanilla Apple.
    I suspect that this is either a Word problem or a Linotype problem, but neither of those vendors are usually of much help, so I'm hoping that someone here might be able to assist.

  • Any problem with replacing system true type fonts with postscript?

    I want to replace the Times true type (d.font) font in the systems fonts folder with a Times Postscript font. Will this cause any problems? Are there any system true type fonts that can't be replaced with postscript fonts?

    You should not deal with fonts inside /System/Library/Fonts/. Your system may not be able to boot!

  • How can I type in a different font color in existing document without the color changing back to black?

    I am editting a document and want to type in red. However, the font color keeps changing back to black once I am done with the section, or when I scroll down.
    I do not want to use "comment" function.
    Could anyone tell me how to set a font color without changing?
    Thank you

    When you place the cursor in a block of text, it adopts the style attributes of the surrounding text; most of the time, for most users, this is the desired behavior.
    It sounds like you want to use change tracking, which displays your additions to the text in a contrasting color, until you choose to accept (or reject) the changes. It might be worth looking into that.
    If, as I read your question, you want to be able to place the cursor into various places in the text and type text that is really styled in a different color, I can think of two options that might help a little with that.
    You can set a Character Style for the alternate color, and apply that after inserting the cursor, before typing. If you want, the Character Style can be assigned a keyboard shortcut.
    You could also copy a single character with the desired font color to the clipboard and then after inserting the cursor, Paste and Delete (⌘V,⌫), which will allow you to continue to type in your preferred color. Of course, this only works if you don't need the clipboard for anything else.

  • Font Colors & Color Picker Problem

    Why won't the color picker change my font color?  It has worked for months and today it won't.

    Reset the tool. In v11 & v12 it is at the right of the Tool Options panel at the bottom - a down arrow next to four horizontal lines. In earlier versions at the left of the tool options at the top of the screen.

  • My Publisher plugin Open Type Fonts DON'T PRINT iPhoto 6.0.5 (316)

    I want to post this problem in the hopes it will save some other people the 7 months of frustration I have gone through with My Publisher.
    Apparently, My Publisher is unable to print Open Type fonts. After 7 months of editing and re-editing photos, scanning and re-scanning photos, and placing 13 different orders, someone at My Publisher finally called me to help with the problem. The phone call came after I had emailed Walt Mossberg of the WJS about their total lack of customer service!
    After every order I placed, for the same book, was cancelled, I received the exact same form email, which said I have a corrupt photo file/.jpg and I should fix it. I kept telling them that the Mac and iPhoto don't send them any .jpgs, only a PDF file. No matter what I told them, I got the same email in reply—I have a corrupt .jpg.
    Once they decided to help me (after almost 7 months), we were able to narrow down the problem within a week. They had me produce the same book on a PC, which I was unable to do because they only have about 4 templates and 6 fonts to choose from and are nothing like iPhoto. I made a book and just randomly inserted all the photos, no text. The book printed fine, proving to My Publisher that there was nothing wrong with any of my .jpgs.
    I questioned My Publisher as to why the PC was limited to 6 fonts and were they installed with their BookMaker software and they said "Yes." This led me to believe my problem was with the fonts and they agreed. After talking to them further about fonts, they said they had trouble printing Post Script fonts, but they had printed several books for me that used Post Script fonts. The culprit turned out to be an Open Type font. Once I changed the Open Type font to the True Type version, the book printed perfectly. I don't know if this problem was limited to only this particular font or all Open Type fonts.
    I have asked My Publisher to pursue this problem and post information about it on their website so other people don't have to go through all this frustration.
    Other than this problem, I have been very happy with all the books I have received from My Publisher. The quality has been excellent. The color is a bit off in a few photos some of the time, but for the most part, the color is quite accurately reproduced, at least to my eye. Hot pinkish/purple colors seem to pose a problem.

  • Type font too large on website

    On one website, I somehow managed to enlarge the type font or zoom in so that the sides are cropped. In the past, I've minimized the
    page images and type fonts and only resolved it by blowing out Firefox and reinstalling it. This is on my laptop (Windows 7) and I think it may have something to do with letting my finger rest on the touchpad when I hit the right/left click button.

    Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.
    *<b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages
    If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a (too) high value can cause issues.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
    Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
    *Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
