Type not lining through in browser

I have created a simple holding page for a client, which I have lined type through top and bottom with a logo. The top type when viewed in browser stays correctly positioned, but the type at the bottom which I have lined the baseline through with the bottom of the logo, jumps up and down from browser to browser and doesn't stay in one fixed positiong lining through with logo. Any ideas ?

There are a number of additional things it might be, but without seeing the page I'm guessing. It may be related to the fact percentage-based leading (line spacing) is calculated differently in different browsers. Some browers fully support fractional pixel leading amounts (via percentage leading) and other don't. They round or truncate to a whole pixel value. To get around this you can select all the text in a text frame and specify a whole pixel measurement in the leading control (i.e. "13 px") to get consistent line spacing across browsers.

Bug? could not access through external browser

Trying to execute a html page within sun one but now and then it says cannot execute throught the external browser, check settings in tools, and check external browser.
I have checked that and it seems correct pointing to Microsoft Internet Explorer, so i was wondering is this a bug? Or how can i remove this error message.
The page sometimes loads up, when this error message appears.

Yeap it seems to be doing that, the first attempt it does not appear to load the requested page getting the error message check external browsers, but Microsoft Internet Explorer does load up. The second attempt it appears to work.
Not sure if this is because of having installed the new sun one JAVA update 1, and left the old settings in c:\documents and settings\user. I dont think s1 has an uninstaller, so I simply renamed c:\Sun to c:\Sun.old and installed the update.

Print settings lined through

I have an Epson RX620 which has an ! beside it in the box that comes up when you select print and in all programs other than MicroSoft Word, the print select,colour management,print options are lined through.If you select them it says:This panel is not compatible with your computer. Contact the printer manufacturer for latest version of your print software. PrintSettings version 2.12.
So I have downloaded a lot of times from Seiko Epson the listed driver 3.0a. At first this wanted to open in Word. Before I got it to open with Stuffit .But however I try to install this the print options are still line through. So I zapped the driver and redid the download from the CD. I can scan and print. but still not be able to select paper type etc. Hope this is not a problem of my making and that someone can point my in the right direction. David.

I had this problem with my RX425, Epson got me to do this (you may want to print this out):
To uninstall your printer:
Make sure Epson connected through USB & switched on.
In Applications>Utilities open Printer Setup Utility.
Remove all references to printer model.
Disconnect printer from computer.
Go to HD>Library>Printers & move complete EPSON folder to trash (Warning: this removes all Epson Printers).
Also remove any drivers previously downloaded, to the trash, if filename doesn't match that from website.
Restart Mac
Empty Trash
HD>Applications>Utilites>Disk Utility select HD icon & repair permissions.
Restart Mac.
Power Printer on & ensure connected to port on Mac (not through hub).
To install printer:
Go to Epson website, download driver & run installer.
Follow on-screen prompts to install driver, restarting Mac when necessary.
Once restarted, go into Applications>Utilities>Printer Setup Utility & remove any reference to your printer that may be on list already as this may not be genuine driver.
Click Add to bring up Printer Browser.
Highlight your printer & select Add Printer.
Test printer by highlighting printer & clicking Utility, then do Nozzle Check.
Optional: Install Epson Scan (I didn't have to as mine wasn't affected).
Restart Mac.
See if that works.

I am geting error while submiting Support message through Web browser i.e BSP . Please find the error message below
"Error: The system could not create the message because of an RFC connection "NONE " error Service-specific Csutomizing missing for transaction ZLFN"
Note: ZLFN is our Service Desk Message type.
Any ideas where i am doing wrong?

check if when you configured your new transaction type ZLFN you have included a corresponding entry in view CRMC_SERVICE_H.
If the transaction type is missing in this view, you have this error.

Text Not Lining Up Properly in Fillable Form | Acrobat 9 Pro

I have a number of documents that were created in MS Word and then I converted them to PDF through Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. A number of those documents have text fields that the end user will type their data into - example: a message area on a fax cover sheet.
The original Word document has that area lined such as this:
When that area (as shown above) is converted as a field in the "add fields" to the form in Adobe Acrobat I am deleting out the individual fields Adobe "detects" and instead making it one large content box.
Under properties I have "multi-line" and "scroll long text" selected.
Now the problem....for some unknown reason....some fields are working perfectly that when we type into the PDF fillin form that the text that is typed lines up perfectly with the lines (as shown above). In other instances it's not lining up at all.
I have played with font size, font type, spacing on the original Word document.I have scoured the internet and the forums with no success (either no one else is asking or I'm not using the proper search terms).
Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?
I've also included a screenshot of the document so you can see the wackiness.

You don't have direct control of the leading of a multiline text field. A common approach is to control the background color of the field with JavaScript since the lines are not really needed when the field is used in Reader/Acrobat. They may be useful when using the form by hand. While click on document shows error"document type not defined"

public folder->engineering folder->design folder->document(any)
while i am clicking on document it shows error msg document type not defined

Since you are using document structure functionality, You are require to create an public folder initially and private folder for each user which is specific to user ID.
If you dont want to create private folder you can select "Select document Via in CV03N screen and select only" Selection screen " and not browser.
If the above changes is done then system will not through an error from CV03N screen"document type not defined"

Unable to add a mail account, with Invalid Password error message, yet can log into mail system OK through a browser. Mail technicians can't find the problem.

When I try to add a newly-created Bigpond account to Thunderbird, I get an error message "User Name or Password Invalid", yet I can log in to this account OK through a browser. When adding the account, Thunderbird says "Configuration found in Mozilla ISP database". I have previously successfully added Bigpond, Yahoo, Outlook and Hotmail accounts to Thunderbird and they are working fine. The Bigpond Technical Support staff have looked into this and cannot see what is wrong but they say they do not support Thunderbird. Any ideas appreciated...

For the settings that needs to be configured for your new mailbox, kindly follow the steps listed below:

In looking at the Thunderbird error message, it seems to consistently refer to the User Name and Password. I know they are correct, as I can log in from a browser using them. Is there something in the validation rules that might be the problem? Also, you may be aware that Bigpond is migrating their old Webmail system across to the Outlook platform. Registering new e-mail accounts in Bigpond get created on the Outlook platform, whereas older accounts are still on the Bigpond Webmail system. Is this causing a problem somewhere in validation?

Adobe Reader will not open PDF in browser simple answer.

I just had this problem and was able to work through it with the help of tech support from TD Ameritrade. The fix is simple so read on. After uninstalling and reinstalling all things adobe and trying other recommendations on these forums I was stumped. I called my broker tech section since I couldn't open their reports and we identified what my specific problem was. For me, and I imagine some of you this will help and prevent a lot of wasted time.
Nothing was wrong with my Adobe Reader. My problem was that I have a 64 bit operating system and both of my default browsers were 64 bit browsers. I did not know my internet explorer default browser was the 64 bit one until the technician that assisted me informed me that a recent windows update made all 64 bit systems default to 64 bit internet explorer browsers. You cannot change that default by choosing between 64 bit and 32 bit, because you can only choose internet explorer. That explains why my attempts to open with a 32 bit browsers always failed. I also tried with Firefox thinking it was 32 bit and it failed as well. The technician informed me Firefox is a 64 bit browser and then it made sense. I guess the recent Adobe reader update caused a change that no longer allowed my 64 bit system and 64 bit browser to open PDF's through the browser. The technician who assisted me has a 64 bit system and only uses 64 bit browsers and can still open PDF's through those browsers. That confused us for a while until we realized he had his Adobe updater turned off and therefore had not been exposed yet to the update that originated my problems.
****ANSWER FOR MY PROBLEM*******The quick answer is use Google Chrome or some other 32 bit browser. If you set a 32 bit browser as your default, the PDF's will open. You cannot set Internet Explorer 32 bit browser as your default if you have a 64 bit system and also have 64 bit Internet Explorer. The windows update prevents you from doing it. At least that is my understanding.
The bottom line is I have the newest Adobe Reader on a 64 bit system and can open any web PDF with Google Chrome set as my default browser, because it is a 32 bit browser. The new Adobe Reader will not open PDF's with a 64 bit browser in Vista. A 64 bit system is fine as long as you use the 32 bit browser to open your PDF's in Vista. I hope this helps some avoid some headaches. I wish it had been posted when my problem first arose.
I think you can use a 64 bit browser in Windows 9 or later, but for Vista the above applies.

Yes I can create a short cut to internet exp. 32 bit on my desktop and I can even be using Internet expl. 32 bit, but when I try to open a PDF with adobe reader it won't work with internet exp. as my default browser b/c windows will always choose Internet exp. 64 bit which isn't supported yet by adobe reader. With google chrome as my default browser windows can't choose an unsupported 64 bit browser in its place b/c google chrome doesn't have a 64 bit version.
My post was for those people who may not have realized yet that windows would not ever choose Internet expl. 32 bit over Internet expl. 64 bit if both exist on their system. For them it is easiest to just choose a default browser that only has a 32 bit version.
If I understood your reply correctly, you were telling me how to create a shortcut to Internet exp. 32 bit on my desk top. However, having that shortcut on my desk top and opening my browser through it will not prevent the problem of windows choosing my Internet exp. 64 bit browser for pdf's I try to open from the web. Thank you for your response, but I think the problem that I have tried to explain does exist for many users and can only be fixed by using a 32 bit browser that is not Internet explorer as your default browser. At some point if windows fixes the update that always chooses Internet expl. 64 bit over Internet expl. 32 bit, then this will all be irrelevant.

Two Deliveries did not go through Batch Job Runing

Hi,
In this company every evening the automatic batch Job for Billing due list is run but on Nov 23 one Deliver and on Nov 30 another delivery has not gone through i.e. the invoices were not created for these two deliveries.
I checked in VF01, the individual invoice is being created. The user is asking the reason for this and how to prevent this type of situation in future.
I don't know the Batch Job number and I think it has been done in VF06.
Please guide me how I can solve this issue.

Regarding debugging, if I have to do how I can do it. I know to go to Debuggiing mode if I put in the command field "/h" , I will be in the debugging mode. But my question is which transaction Should I use VL02N or VF01 to find out the Problem
I have mentioned earlier that I went to VF01 and these deliveries are fine to create invoices but the User is interested to know the Problem and to find out the cause so that they can prevent it occuring in future.

Short answer is no. And unfortunately there's no really longer answer. Firefox Sync's vision and product design is to allow you to have all your information in all your browsers.
The really long answer is that they are some other projects on the works that will cover the case that you refer to: you are in a computer that is not yours and you want to access once with your home set-up. Unfortunately at the moment is just an idea.

F-02 with asset retirement: Trans. type not possible - No affil. company

I am struggling with the following, I hope you can help me:
We want to sell an investment using a trading partner. When entering the asset retirement transaction type 230, I get error message AA 389 Trans. type not possible (No affiliated company specified). I however enter the trading partner through 'More data' but when coming back to the asset retirement, T. type 210 is written and changing it to 230 gives me the error.
I am using document type DR for which the flags 'enter trading partner' and 'Inter co. postings' are set. I tried without the flag 'Inter co. postings', no success.
I have tried with Trans. type 210 and changing the line item after simulation, no success as well.
The target document is:

Try F-92, on the screen for creating the revenue line item, i.e. the credit side, you must activate the indicator "asset retirement." > Next, press 'Enter' key, after which the screen 'Create Asset Retirement' appears and in this dialog box screen enter the appropriate 'Transacion Type' instead.

What type of phone service do you have? Analog or digital? Analog. Digital. What’s the Difference?
If the phone service is analog, please see this guide, Cannot Send or Receive Faxes.
If the phone service is digital, please go to this guide, How to connect your HP Fax Device to an ISDN, ADSL, PBX, or VoIP line. Note: HP fax devices are designed to work with traditional analog phone services. They are not designed to work with digital phone services such as ADSL, PBX, ISDN, or VoIP. While HP fax products are not supported on these types of lines, they might work given appropriate setup and equipment.
To find out if your phone service is analog or digital please contact your phone provider.

Reading files from clients machine through a browser

if i have to access or use some files say C:\hello\myimage.jpg from client machine's local drive, how it can be done using some technology in Java eg applets or some other way. please read the following situation to have a better undertsanding of the problem,
consider the following situation:
a web application is running on client PC, and on click of a button, i have to generate a report in some format and insert some images in that report which are on clients local drive and their path is known to me say C:\ myimage.jpg.
if the mages were on the server(where web application is hosted), then its not a prob.
if there any other technology in java to read files from clients PC through a browser other than java

I don't think it's possible to edit a slideshow and the accompanying thumbnails and caption/labels through in browser editing. Does anyone else want that?

You can edit slideshow hero images with thumbnails and captions through In browser editing. Are you facing any issue while editing those ?
Please provide details and screenshot which will help us to identify the issue.

Url links in swf work in standalone, but not when opened in browser

I am currently using flash to create an electronic press kit.
In that, i have 2 links to youtube (since embedding the videos was
not an option, making the file too large), and one link to
yousendit for the viewer to be able to download a pdf file.
Now when i open the swf by double clicking on it (which i can
do, but when on another computer, that has flash player installed,
the swf will not open unless opened through a browser....not sure
if that is just something where you can open an swf strictly by
itself only if you actually have flash or what....that is another
issue), but anyways, when i open the swf by itself, the links work
correctly. once opened through a browser, the links do not work.
Safari error:

The reason the swf doesn't open up by itself on other
computers is that it needs a Stand Alone Flash Player to do so.
Most people have the Flash plug-in for their browsers, but not the
stand alone player. If you are sending it out as a self contained
file you need to make a Projector file. It contains the SA + swf in
one file, which adds weight. Also, you need to make a Windows one
and and a Mac one. If you are using CS3, I think you can make a
Abobe AIR app that is universal, granted you install the free AIR
plug-in controlls for Flash ( I THINK. My knowlege is not totally
up to date) .
As for the links not working in the browser, its seems like
they should work. Your posted link for the file is broken, so
couldn't see. What is your code for the buttons? Are you calling
JavaScript in your html page? I've had problem with that usually a
syntax error or IE.
