Type tool issue: Type in saved document changes font when reopened and clicked on.

I've recently started getting a problem with document which I've saved a type layer to with a particular font. Reopening the document for reuse, I find clicking on the type with the type tool changes it to a different font. I've done a check on this and it was a known issue with CS6 and there is an adobe update to install: Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1 update for Adobe Photoshop CS6 : Trouble is, the install doesn't take and is advising me to seek customer support. Any ideas anyone? Recreating the file and font everytime (which is a work around) is a pain.

I suspect a damaged install.
Let's do an uninstall/reinstall. Be sure your account has admin privileges.
Uninstall CS6, checkmark "Remove Preferences"
Use the CS Cleaners to remove anything that might interfere with a reinstall
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Use Disk Utility to repair permissions.
Reinstall CS6 and immediately apply the update.

In regarding of the issue, I need more information:
Which Office and operation system do you use?
Does the other Office suits encounter the issue?
Does the issue occur in some special documents or every documents (even a new blank Word document)?
Do you get some error message? Please upload some images about it if you can.
Let's try some methods, check if they are helpful:
a) Delete the Word Data registry subkey.
1.Exit all Office programs.
2.In Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.) Type regedit in the search box, tap
or click Apps, and then tap or click Run.
Or, in Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
3.Locate the following registry subkey, as appropriate for the version of Word that you are running:

safe mode, if it works fine, the issue may be caused by the add-ins, please try to check them one by one.
c) Repair Office.

Theme Font & Size Changer can adjust the size of the type Firefox uses in the toolbar area.
NoSquint remembers per site web page zoom levels and you can set a minimum size for all web pages so any site you visit is made bigger automatically. Safari doesn't do this.

Note: Firefox is highly customizable browser, and I added the green with the yellow type, you won't see that when you first start using it.

Is it not possible to create a text box, fill it with dynamic (data driven) text, but make the font size either scale up or down automatically, so that the entire text box is filled? This is a feature in PrintShop Mail Pro called COPY FIT. but no such feature in Indesign??

lol... it seems to work, but I have another huge problem!
Apparently .CSV files cannot contain page breaks in the data! The data I am trying to merge is a 'letter', with paragraphs, line breaks, etc.,
But, after data merging, it ignores page breaks and only merges the first paragraph of each letter. (sigh)
Solution? Hopefully, an EASY solution. lol as we have thousands of records.
Is there a third party indesign plugin that will allow .xml, or .xls data merge import??

Photoshop CS6 type tool issue - Disappearing Type

I recently installed CS6 and ever since then I have been having issues with type disappearing. When I choose the type tool and begin typing, everything is fine until I try to modify the type in any way, if I change point size, add a color overlay or change paragraph orientation my type disappears! If I press Command Z (undo) the type reappears minus my edits. If I try to edit type again, it's gone again. Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas how to fix it?

I have just recently downloaded CS6 and I had some problems while working on it. Leaving aside the fact that Save for web is not working, now I have some issues with the type tool. Whenever I type something the punctuation is going in front of the text and the letters are typed from right to left. Because I don't know how to explain it so well, I tried to recorder the whole thing.

The type tool issue

What can be the reason that when each time I open Photoshop Elements and click on "Type Tool" (font) then app hangs for a longer while (about 30 seconds)?
Is this case of builing previews of fonts?
What can I do?

You might have added a corrupt font or one that for whatever reason Elements chokes on. I'd try removing the fonts you added (leave the ones that came with Vista or other applications alone...just take out any freeware ones you have downloaded). See if Elements acts as it should. If it starts without the delay, add a couple of fonts back then check how Elements starts. Do this until you find the font causing the issue.
If you really are into fonts, you might consider getting a font manager. There are both free and $ ones out there.
My personal favorite is a freeware font manager called The Font Thing...Windows only. It doesn't list that it's Vista compatible but I have been using it on Vista without any issues.

Note: I keep my downloaded fonts in a folder on an external drive and must hit "Refresh" button in the Font thing menu bar before the navigation tree shows up in the browser window. Like other software made for XP, the "Help" is broken with Vista.

Change font when replying a HTML messages

I want to change the font when I reply an e-mail in HTML. The current font is big. A colleague of mine is able to reply using the same font the message was composed with his Android

The only way to get an answer to this is if you post the URL to page in question.
Or, you may be able to ascertain which selector you need to style using your browser's Inspect Elements tools. To bring it up, right Click in Chrome or Firefox.

Edit? No Editing Tools In iOS Reader Saved Documents? Just Delete?

There were no results for How Do I Edit Documents That I Have Saved In My iPhone Adobe Reader For iOS? When I Open/Save Pdf's from sites into iOS Reader the name of pdf's is wrong mostly numbers & letters but some are correct? When in readers saved doc's i tap edit to change name, make folder & so on no options show up all i can do is delete them? Which i dont want? Any help please? 2- It only seems rational that if I make a form with LiveCycle that I should be able to view it with Adobe Reader or Adobe Pro.
Making a form with LiveCycle to be distrubuted to personnel internally that have Adobe Reader and Adobe Pro and cannot open it without it having a digital signature field in it that has just recently been signed just doesn't make sense. Nor does it seem to make sense to have to purchase 200 additional licenses just for LiveCycle so that people can open a PDF that was made with LiveCycle. If I make it in LiveCycle and only people with LiveCycle can open it, what is the purpose of making it to begin with?
3- This also totally sucks. In a standard Adobe Doc I can at least attach documents to it?
So, what, exactly then, is the purpose of LiveCycle if the only benefit it seems to provide is ease of creation, but the end product has way less functionality?
And how do I go about contacting an Adobe rep on the phone in regards to this without getting "there is no support for this product, go to Adobe.com"

Preview starts saving the changes in pdf doc and leads to freezing

I was reading a book in preview and i did some highighting work in the ebook.
Preview started saving the document(showing increasing number of file saving 2,then 3.....so on it went till 8)

as a result i had to force close preview
this proccess repeated everytime i opened the ebook(3-4 times i tried).
Can anyone help me out of this problem or i should think of adobe pdf reader rather than the preview.

I was reading a book in preview and i did some highighting work in the ebook.
Preview started saving the document(showing increasing number of file saving 2,then 3.....so on it went till 8)

Font issue on CS4 cannot easily change fonts

Normally I can arrow down through fonts, for some reason its not allowing me to do that, when I try and arrow down through the font list to try a word out in diff fonts, it goes through 10 fonts then goes back to the first one, for instance my fonts start at myrid pro when I boot Illustrator up, I can scroll downward through the next font which is n-gage and thats as far as I can go unless I physically select a diff font with the drop down menu - If I choose a diff font and do the same thing, I get through about 10 fonts if Im lucky then it wont go any further, is this a bug it didnt happen before.

Uncheck "enable missing glyph protection" under your type preferences.
That'll let you get past the damaged font, but the underlying problem is likely as Wade describes.

Send as email attachment the billing document as pdf when created and saved

HI All,
I have already searched the forum but could not find a satisfying answer so i am posting this question,
The requirement is to send an email containing biiling document converted to pdf format when a billing document
is created and saved in VF01 transaction.
I have already converted the output to pdf format in my driver program and also know how to send an email containing the same ..but this works only when user prints using VF31 .
Kindly tell the configuration steps which are required...and hot to achieve the same.

There is a blog on a similar topic which explains how to email purchase order in SAP to the vendor. The settings are required in Vendor Master, NACE and SCOT.

Document changing font colour when emailed?

I have produced a doc in pages on my iMac that include white text with a blue background when I email it and open it on my iPad which also has pages the text is not formatted as i sent and the words are black on blue background .....any help!

You may have hit a feature variation, or a bug. All you can do is test a range of samples, making sure to clearly label them so you can tell at a glance what happens to what.
First I would check that you haven't used rgb color. Try setting the colors with cmyk and make sure the text is 0% black to get the white.
Also try the reverse where everything is rgb in case iOS requires rgb.

Changing fonts in paragraph and character styles (AppleScript, Grep or JavaScript)

I have been trying the javascripts in this discussion:
Adobe Community: Specified font need to be changed in all paragraph styles
but I cannot get any of them to work. I have been putting them into CodeRunner then saving them into the InDesign Scripts folder but I have specific error messages for the ones I have tried. I am wondering if they actually solve my problem anyway, which is:
Helvetica Neue LT seems to add another LT to its description thus: "Helvetica Neue LT LT 45" instead of just "Helvetica Neue LT 45". InDesign does not recognise this and thus when I open each file I get a list of Fonts to be found. I have dozens of styles (Paragraph and Character) in dozens of files and have changed some of the styles manually - a laborious task. The styles must be changed otherwise I am still stuck with Helvetica Neue LT lurking away, waiting for the style to be applied. So I cannot use "Find font..." in the Type Menu.
I am changing to "Helvetica Neue LT Std" with many faces: 35 Thin, 45 Light, 46 Light Italic, 65 Medium, 75 Bold...
from the similar faces in Helvetica Neue LT. These currently display in the Styles Menu as [Helvetica Neue LT] [LT 45 Light]
Sometimes when I change to Helvetica Neue LT Std manually the face sticks (even though I have changed it) so I have "Helvetical Neue Ltd Std [LT 45 Light]" and I have to go through the styles again and again. This is very tedious.
So if anyone can help me with this problem I'd be eternally grateful.

Even the name of the thread is similar to yours.
But first, you should do a bit of housecleaning in your font library. From your description it sound like a big mess.
Do you use any font management tools? Most of the times they do more harm than good (but i am aware that it's a necessary evil for the most part).
The fonts you are trying to use are in the font library or in the indesign document's folder?
While Mac is a lot better than Windows in managing multiple fonts/font versions, it's also a lot more "fragile" if something goes wrong with a font.
Try cleaning the font cache first:
sudo atsutil databases -remove
the restart the font server
sudo atsutil server -shutdown
sudo atsutil server -ping
