really do not understand why apple provides just one confusing delete button in its newer ios, instead of the previous versions which actually gives a confirmation button of whether to delete voice memo.

What system did the Mac come with and what system are you running now? If it's 2 years old, i.e. bought in 2010 then it came with Leaport or Snow Leopard installed and would have had install disks. Included in those disk would be a disk similar to one of these:
That would have included iPhoto 8 (09) if bought before October 20, 2010 or iPhoto 9 (11) if bought after that date. In either case you should have a disk like in the screenshot. If not then you'll have to purchase an iLIfe 11 boxed disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: iLife 11 and install your missing applications from it and then apply the latest updaters from the Apple Downloads web page/

You do not tell us what OS version you have. In OS 10.8.2, do this:
Apple Menu / System Preferences / Language and Text / Input Sources.
Select the language you want. Mine is set to Canadian English.

iPhoto used to support the PCD format up to a few years ago. It's extremely frustrating that Apple decided to no longer support this format and now I'm directed to pay nearly $40 for an app that will (GraphicConverter 9). Did Lemke Software make a deal with Apple so we'd have to pay a premium for a very overpriced converter? And, how are decisions like this supposed to encourage the use of iPhoto?
Apple users already pay a premium to use a Mac. Obstacles like these eventually destroy loyalty to the Apple brand. Just ask Microsoft how their back room deals that exploited their customer base worked out for them.

If your subsequence is in a separate sequencefile, then check the properties of the sequencefile to make sure that the record has not been disabled.

It depends what you are using, you haven't told us, and whether you ever saved in the first place which you also haven't told us.
In OSX Lion (OSX 10.7) Pages will have auto-saved after the initial save and reopening the file will take you back to the last save.
Prior to Lion you would only have the last saved version. Utilities like ForEverSave would have auto-saved for you or you would need to manually save with command s.
If your whole Mac froze and it wasn't a battery issue in a laptop, then I would try and determine the reason as this should not be happening.

Other people have also posted recently about being asked the questions despite it not being the first purchase on the computer or device.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . I would very much doubt that. The radition level inside a microwave is termendous. I am totally flabbergasted that there is much of it is still that much working.
