    Hi,
First, define a new category in the TCODE ALRTCATDEF
    add user in fixed recipient.
In the alert configuration add a new rule with parameters:

Also check whether the configured user has rights to receive the alert messages in the alert inbox. If not you will not receive the alert.

  • Types of Alert

    Hi,
If I am not wrong ,there are three types of Alert. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Database Alert,Demand Combination Alert and Dynamic Alert...
Please let me know the differnce among these.
Which one is better :--  Database Alert or Dynamic Alert ?
    Many Many thanks in advance...
    Prabhat.

    Hi Prabhat,
Database alerts are the ones which will be generates alerts
specific to deviation in standard database parameters from
which an user can take proactive actions accordingly
Demand combinations are the ones which will be used in
demand planning while planning a demand based on
various combinations (say like CVCs, MPOS, charactersitics
    etc.,)
Dynamic alerts reflect the current planning situation, as it is in
the SAP liveCache. The system does not store them in the SAP
    APO system database.
Depending upon the business requirements, these alerts will
be configured and hence these cannot be prioritised

  • Can you set the type of alert in iCal on the iPad?

I have an iPad (1st generation) with the latest iOS5. I love the new iOS and especially the way that iCloud makes things more seamless between my devices. I do have an issue with iCal, however. When I set an event in iCal in OSX, I can set the alert to be a message, message with sound, email, etc. By default, if I set an event in iCal on my iPad the alert is a message. I can find no way to change this. If there is a way, please tell me.
Because of this, I never use iCal on iPad to set alerts because I like to use message with sound. This greatly reduces the functionality of iCal on iPad because, for me, it can only be used as a calendar event viewer. Any help would be appreciated. Note: I have contacted apple feedback about this issue.
In a related, but less important issue, I find that the settings for the timing of the alert are very limited in iCal on iPad. On iCal in OSX one can set the alert time for either the time of the event, or pretty much any amount of time prior to the event. On the iPad, iCal will only let you set it to the day of the event, 1 or 2 days before, or 1 week before the event. A limitation, but not crippling. However, if anyone knows how to set the timing of the event on iPad's iCal with more specificity I would really like to know.
    Thanks!

Under Settings, Sounds, you can set an alert sound for calendar events.
For timed events, you can set the alert for a range of times from 5 minutes before upwards (e.g.15 mins, 30 mins, 1 hour). For all-day events, the range is as you described.
You can set the alert for each event as you create it (or edit it later)
You can set default alerts for all-day event,s timed events, and birthdays (i.e. different defaults for each type) in Settings, Mail, Contacts and Calendar, default Alerts.
    Does that help?

  • Find the Alert Type and Alert Severity from SSLHandshakeException

I am using SSL connection and for some use I need to find out the alert type and its severity when it is thrown from the Java library.
    sslException.getAlertLevel() or sslException.getAlertSeverity()
Like if the level of severity is FATAL I need to take some steps on it, but I could not find from where I could get this information.

What part of 'all SSLExceptions are fatal' didn't you understand?
The fact that some SSL alerts are just warnings has no bearing on this, unless you have some counter-evidence that shows that warning alerts throw SSLExceptions too. Do you? The only two alerts I can find that can be warnings are 'close_notify', which is manifested as read() returning -1, not as an exception, and 'no_renegotiation', which as a quick search of this forum will show you is definitely treated as fatal by JSSE, as it is permitted to do by the RFC, and causes an SSLException.
    NB cross posted.

  • When do we get this type of alert in SCOM 2007R2

    Hi,
Can some one explain why we get this alert in SCOM

    Hi,
Please go through the link below:

In addition, this alert maybe due to RMS reboots and
SDKservice starts before SQL services. If that is the case, then to aviod this alert,
SDKservice can be made dependent on SQL

  • No message alert on iphone 4

2 big issues since downloading ios 7.. And their update after the first release.  Sporadically, I cannot send messages, they just say "sending" and never sends.  After restarting my phone, I open messages, and they're all gone.  I close the message app, and they're all back, and I am able to send.  I took my phone to apple, who claims it is a network issue.  Then I took it to verizon, but they said it was an apple issue since ios 7 should not be on the iphone 4.  Got me nowhere.
So today started the most significant problem.  I am getting NO alert whatsoever when I receive messages, not even a badge on the app icon.  I do not know I have a text until I actually open "messages," as if to send a message.  I checked all my setting, they're all correct, and I do not have "do not disturb" activated either.  All other types of alerts work fine.  This is incredibly frustrating.  If anyone can give some insight to these issues, please help.  Thank you.

    Hi jabXhook,
So it sounds as if you have already done much of the troubleshooting that is suggested for the issue of getting a "No SIM" error message. There are just a few more you may want to try. See this article -
If you see 'No SIM' alert on iPhone - Apple Support
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Hi Alex,
Have you debugged the BBP_CONTRACT_CHECK program?.
Also, can you confirm what type of alert category you have used (alert, message or notification) as I have seen it work ok with alert, but not tried the others so they may not work.

  • Issue in Alert Generation

    Hello Friends,
Requirement: In my scenario we are making outgoing call activity to customers for customer satisfaction survey. So while doing call activity with customers if the customer asks to call at for example 4pm ,then say at 3:45pm call centre agent should get an alert to follow up.
what I have done : we have written a class with the logic given. I have created an alert of fact gathering type and assigned the attribute created.
Rule policy: I have left the EVENTS block as blank. Business role: IC_agent.
    conditions: blank
Actions: Trigger_alert---and value is the alert id.
But no alerts are getting triggered at 3:45pm . kindly help.
    Regards
    Shibashish

Your requirement is quite complicated. As soon as there are two types of alerts in IC:
    - real-time alerts
    - user-triggered alerts
    here are my thoughts.
The first type is just a good old one. But they are triggered when the user something does in the system. I mean when he clicks something or navigate somewhere. So this type won't facilitate your requirements completely. Just pretend that the user doesn't do anything for a while and in this period your "15 minutes before" moment comes up.
The second type is quite a new one. They are asynchronous. You can get more info from Asynchronous Processing - Interaction Center WebClient - SAP Library and IC and Communication-Enabled Business Processes - Business Functions for SAP Customer Relationship Management - SAP Libr…. This type seems to be more promising for your task.

  • Different alerts for email and sms messages for a contact with custom ring tone

    Hello,
    I have a Curve 8530 with OS 5.0.0.395.
I have my default sound profile set up to play one type of alert sound when I receive and email message and another when I receive an SMS message (so I know the difference without looking at my phone). That works fine except for contacts that I also have a custom ring tone set up for. It seems that under the Custom Ring Tones/Alerts section of the contact there is only one entry for Messages and it applies to both email and SMS. If I have the contact's message alerts set to the alert I have for email, then their SMS messages play the same alert and I might think it's an email. Or if I have the messages alerts set to the SMS alert sound then their emails sound like SMS messages. Is there a way to have a custom ring tone set up for a contact but still allow their emails and SMS messgaes to follow the current sound profile's settings?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Have you had any luck resolving this issue. I had a 8230 and this was possible. But like you I can get the 8530 to work. If you found the solution, please let me know.

This seems to affect ping to other sites as well, including ipv6.google.com.  I am able to ping that from Fedora Core.
Why is a router alert for MLD being propagated with my unicast ICMP echo?  Can that behavior be disabled?

The problem is likely due to the fact that modifies the software packages installed on your computer. In my case the error was in Kaspersky Internet Security. Helped only the removal of the product.

  • Using Fault Message Type in BPM

    Hi,
In my BPM Scenario, I am using a synchronous send step in which I am using a fault message type. For giving the container for the fault message in the Properties area of the send step, I want to define a container corresponding to the Fault message Type I have already defined. How can I achieve this since it is not possible by defining an Abstract Interface? Can someone please explain how to do this?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Soumya.

    Hi Soumya,
Here are the links for two threads. one has discussed fault mssage type in bpm and the other the general application of a fault message type.

From your error, maybe your profile parameter for alert message server is not properly configured:
I just came cross a post elaborating alerting configuration from Aashish Sinha, hope it helps,
    Liang
    =====Post from Aashish Sinha=======
    Prerequisites
The following prerequisites have to be met in order to use the Alert Management (ALM):
    · For using the Alert Inbox (BSP based display program of ALM), the corresponding service has to be activated in the service maintenance transaction SICF. Choose Default_host ? sap ? bc ? bsp ? sap ? alert inbox, and Activate in the context menu.
    · For customizing or administration of the Alert Management the corresponding authorization role has to be assigned. The end users do not need any additional authorization.
    · The central alert server must be maintained as an RFC destination in transaction SM59 in the local system. If there is no suitable user, you have to create a user for the RFC connection in the central alert system in transaction SU01. To make this RFC destination known as the RFC destination of the Alert Management System in the local system, the central alert server must also be selected as the RFC destination in transaction SALRT1 of the local system or in Settings ? RFC-Destination of Alert Server.
If the central alert server is running on the local system in the same client, you do not have to maintain an RFC destination. In this case, you can simply enter NONE in transaction SALRT1.
    · If external communication types, such as e-mail, SMS, and fax are used, these communication types must be correctly configured in SAPconnect, because the alerts are then sent from the central alert system via SAPconnect.
    Process Flow
The following describes the process flow from alert configuration (transaction ALRTCATDEF) to alert display and confirmation (for example in the alert inbox transaction ALRTINBOX):
    1. Optional: You can define alert classifications. These are useful to group alert categories. For example, you can create an alert classification CRM that contains alert categories referring to CRM. Alert classifications can now have subclassifications. This enables you to build up your own classification hierarchy. Especially, if you use the Alert Mangement (ALM) extensively, classification and subclassification help you to organize your ALM alert landscape and to have a clear overview.
    2. For different types of alerts you have to define different categories. The category contains various properties and other specifications that define the alerts within that category, for example expiry date, or the escalation recipient. You can define an alert category to suit your business requirements and assign the category to the corresponding classification. For example, for the alert classification CRM you can create the alert categories Contract Cancelled and Decrease in Sales. When the critical situation defined in the alert category arises, the system recognizes this and sends an alert instance of this category to the recipients determined. The alerts can always be found in the display programs configured for the recipient (UWL, application-specific program, or alert inbox). Additionally, the alerts are sent via eventual external communication channels, such as e-mail, sms, or fax.
    3. You have to determine recipients so that the Alert Management knows who the recipients of alerts of a particular category are and that the correct parties are informed.
    4. You can configure the way how alerts are processed. For the general use of the Alert Management you do not have to change the default settings. However, if for example you want to send alerts to third-party systems, or to be able to confirm alerts by SMS/Internet mail, or to have logs written, then you have to configure alert processing.
    5. There is a number of Alert Management administration reports that you must schedule according to your requirements. For example, report RSALERTPROC must be executed in order to enable escalation.
    6. Alerts of a particular category must be triggered by an application at runtime. Triggering alerts can be done in various ways. You can call a function module directly or use middleware components that trigger alerts, such as the Business Object Repository (BOR), Post Processing Framework (PPF), SAP Workflow, or CCMS.
    7. Recipients can view the alerts assigned to them in the UWL of Enteprise Portal, in application-specific display programs, or in the alert inbox. In addition, alerts can be received as e-mail, SMS, or fax, if these external communication channels are configured in SAPconnect.
    8. If the problem causing the alert is solved by a recipient, the recipient can confirm the alert, this means its status is changed and it will not be delivered, escalated, or displayed anymore. Alerts are generally confirmed by the recipient in the display program, such as the UWL or Alert Inbox. However, if an alert is sent by Internet mail or SMS message, it is also possible to confirm it by sending an Internet mail or SMS message back to the SAP system. Alert Management uses inbound processing for this.
    Hope this will help you.
