Types of Material stocks in MM

Hi all,
One of the Interviewer asked me to tell the Types of Material stocks?
(He given me clue as at most there r 50 type in SAP R/3).
Plz give me the list of those types of material stocks in MM.
If any one knows plz help me.

Material Stock is not Updated in T.Code MC.9

I am running Material stock report in T.code MB5B it is showing the correct stock report but when i execute T.code MC.9 (Material Analysis) it is showing difference of Rs 96015 This difference is whatever transaction we have made in Movement type 121 it will not get updated in MC.9.
Can anyone having solution of this.

If lot is in SKIP status then stok posting tab will not appear. You need to find out DMR rule which is causing SKIP status.
You can easily check this in QDL3 or you can do one thing. Go to QDL2 and change next stage as "100 - Inspect" so system should create next lot as inspection. You would be able to do RR & UD.

Creating Z report for material stock (plant maintenance module)

hello,
we are implemented Plant maintenance module (SAP PM) in our organization.
our requirement is to create a stock report which will incldue
followings:-
1)material number
2)plant number
3) storage location
4) material type
5)valuation type
6)Opening Stock
7) OpValue
8)Received Stock
9)   ReceiptValue
10)   Issue Stock
11) IssueValue
12) Closing Stock
13) Closing Value
we want above details in ALV grid format.
to gert all the details for perticular material, we calcute closing stock and closing value in following manner:-
opening stock + received stock - issue stock = closing stock
opening value + recipt value - issue value = closing value
we are unable to find table name for accessing opening stock, received stock , issue stock & opening value ,recipt value , issue value from system. please suggest table name information for getting above details for creating Z report

The possible tables are:

Any Standard FM for material stocks on posting date using Tcode MB5B

I need   Standard FM to get material stocks on posting date using   Tcode   :   MB5B
Stock type i am using is : Storage Location/Batch Stock
the Input   i am providing is    Material, Plant , Storage Location, selection date From , selecDate To.
Then   i need to get data that it provides   header and document item level.
Can u please tel me how do i get that material stock data on posting date and in which tables
it will be populated in the database.
ITs required can u take view and post info

I have checked all settings also enhancement but there is no as such control to restrict backposting within current period
I think its self disipline action not to post backdated GI when GR is done on later date

I want better solution for adjusting the Material stock values for the last

my Customer need to adjust( Decrease) the closing stock values for the following materials / plant wise as on 31.03.2006 for meeting statuary compliance.
Material1 : RS: 4149599 QTY : 10181.03 Ltrs
Material 2 : RS: 1318596 QTY: 2152.76 Ltrs
As per my knowledge MM posting periods can open current month and Previous month only. For the reason I proposed the solution as follows:
Step 1 : post FI Journal Entry on 31.03.2006
Opening Balance G/L Account Dr 4149599 + 1318596
Closting Stock a/c Cr 4149599 + 1318596
Step 2.
Change the Material Price in MM through T.Code: MR21
( Posting will be allowed in current or previous months)
This makes our CO reports accurate.
Please suggest the better solution if it is possible in MM for adjusting the Material stock values for the last financial year.

Valuation type is A subdivision of a valuation category in split valuation.
Example
An enterprise manages its stocks of a material using the valuation category "Quality", comprising the following valuation types:
High quality
Average quality
Inferior quality
Valuation category: A criterion for the separate valuation of different stocks of a material managed under one material number for quality and other purpose ...

Transfer material stocks to PCA for previous periods (1KEH)

I have an issue with 1KEH. We did not run the 1KEH(generate opening bal for material stocks) for period 2 . In SAP it looks like you can either run in for current period or previous period. (not 2 periods back).
I looked this up with SAP note 858363. I looked up forum replies for the same issue before. The basic solution mentioned was to use transaction 1KEL. To quote "To be able to successfully execute Transaction 1KEH again, you have to use transaction 1KEL and set the origin object type to 19."
Now from the same note there is a t code called 1KEC which can be used to do subsequent postings to PCA. I tried a test run. It seems to pick up what I want and do it correctly.
Can someone advice me if using 1KEC is feasible. If i have to use 1KEL it has to be done one item at a time and we have too many records. Also I am not too sure on how to do 1KEL.

Problem with Material Stock

Dear all,
My client wants to implement POD as the customer wants to be billed only on receipt of the material.
We have made the necessary setting for POD.
Now when we do PGI for the delivery the stock for that material is moved by 601 movement type. This stock is not reflected in MMBE nor does its movement is captured in MM51 (till doc is released through VLPOD).
How can i keep the track of this material.
I am looking for report same as MMBE where it gives list of all material in our plant(s) + special stock (Consignment stock) + other details like quality stock etc etc.
This is required during checking the stock at month at for that month.
Please guide.

MB5B calculates backwards from today all the material documents and arrives at the stock quantities. The stock values are the values associated with each material document, either debit or credit. Apart from the material documents the price change documents (which get generated when MR21 is done) also will be taken into account for arriving at stock value.
I think probably price change (MR21) might have been done on back date after 31.01.08.

QM:Setting for Recurring Inspections(every 2 hour)for Batch Material Stock.

I hope, you know necessary settings for my situation. Because on our russian SAP-forum I haven't got answer until now.
Situation:
We have Batch Material Stock on the plant.
And it is necessary to do for that stock Quality Control every 2 hours.
I activete 09 type of control in Material Master.
Create quality specification for material.
Create in QA05 Schedule\ Schedule periodically \ Repeat period - 2 hours.
But it doesn't work - inspection lot does not create.
Who knows what I shall to do?

Everything is ok, but when I want to record result (in qe51n) for inspection point and at the end of the process press the button "Inspection point" -> "Batch carac." -> "Continue" -> error appear "ABAP/4 error during dynamic assign beyond program bounds".
Is it because I haven't edit FM from config 150 Inspection point?
I don't know how to do it. And deside to config all the process before give to edit that FM to our ABAP-consultants.

I do not remember any specific report for this situation. I would suggest you to check the list of material document report with respect to movement type.
e.g.
Run MB51 for movement type 201 to check the stock consumed for cost center.
Run MB51 for movement type 543 to check the raw material stock consumed during subcontracting cycle. etc.
Note of caution - There may be some reversals for this movement type
Please check if it helps.

Material stock issue during physical inventory

In Press to see the stock, it is very difficult to group the material
For Eg: Material: RM58.5X91X90GAPPML Description : Maplitho 23"X36"X90 GSM Andra Ccs Hi-bi
all the materials were grouped together under single Material group : Paper
Now if they want to find only 90 GSM or 80 GSM stock it is very difficult for them to find and also they want to check the stock dimension wise(23"X36").
client feels that, it is not possible to group the material Dimension wise. If they group according to dimension they feel that they will be having a huge list of material groups. They want 3 fields to be identified for entering State, Dimension & GSM

You have to refer SAP materials on classification. Find it in the SAP online help or on the net.
Basically you have to create a class using CL01 and create it with class type 001 (Material class)
Then create three characteristics using CT04 and then assign these characteristics to the above class
After this you have enable classification view on all the relevant materials and assign this class and update the characteristics values.
But do refer to my response to your query on segregating stocks by these addtional dimensions. As per this requirement, you have use batch classification and not material classification.
While the process of creating class & Characteritics remain same, the difference being class type which is 023. Then assign the class to all materials. Now don't need to update the values. The values have to be updated when you post the GR. So for each batch the dimension values can be different which I think is your requirement.

Transfer posting is done through MB1B T.Code which requires the necessary movement tyep
Transferring the material stock into another Material uses the mvt type 309
The quantity is posted from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing material into unrestricted-use stock in the receiving material
Prerequisite: both materials have the same stockkeeping unit.
Possible special stock indicators: E, O, Q, V, W

Revaluation:
When changing your plan data, you can revaluate the values using either a percentage increase or decrease. This enables you, for example, to base your plan values for 1999 on your actual values from 1998 plus 10%.
You can execute the revaluation when changing plan data automatically, and in interactive planning
Goods movement :
Its means nothing but the moving of goods for one may be from one storage loc to another , plant to plant, etc..
Inside it you will posting for :
1. sampling
2. scrapping
3. unrestricted to Blocked
2. unres. to Quality
etc..
Stock type:
There are three stock type:
1. Unrestricted ( valuated, can be plaanedvia mrp)
2. quality stock (valuated, can be planned(check once))
3. blocked stock(valuated, not able to plan via mrp)
Apart from all three therealso GR blocked which is non-valuated type
Matrial type:
Its define the type of material whther its UNBW non-stock matrial , roh , HALB etc...depending upon this only the quantity / value is unpated....as defined in the customization..

When I try to use the Movement Type 311 with Tcode MB1B, in order to move the stock from IM storage Locations to WM storage Locations, I do create the Material Document Successfully, but when I try to convert the Material Document to Transfer Order, I get the message "select atleast one storage type first", but there is no storage type appearing on the screen.
Can you please help me to resolve the above issue.

Production orders are done with GR 101 moment type without material consumption(261)

Hello Experts,
We have some of production orders where the goods receipt is done with 101 moment type on confirmations without consuming the components i.e not 261 moment type not happened.
We have checked the backflush for the components and also the stock and every thing is fine.
But we have observed the Resevations for corrsponding Production orders the "moment allowed" is not checked and hence the 261 moment is not happened, But not sure why it is not active.
Could any one let me know why this RESB-XWAOK is not checked in the reservations and aslo on what are the possible conditions this happens.

check directly in MB1C transaction with the reference of order movement type 261 material would be consume.
also check batch enter field in MRP 2 view control this make it blank and then system will not determine batches in production order and you can select batches in MB1A/B/C transaction.
