BI systems can be connected to any type of the system can be SAP or non-SAP or any legacy systems. If you using SAP systems then SAPIs are used for extracting data to BI. If you are using non-SAP systems then you have to use standard connectors provided by SAP or SAP Partners. Some typical connectors are SAP - UDC or DB Connect or XMLA.
BI system can be used to reporting, planning and exporting data to external system e.g. via Open Hub. Most commonly companies use BI as data layer where data is collect and using this data developing reports that can used for making strategic decisions. Also for planning where they use historical data to make some forecasting and future planning to the companies.

we have 1 saprouter inside a dmz and another for connecting to our systems.
we are guessing that this is possible
SAP (sapserv2) -
SNC----> saprouter1 (DMZ, SNC connection) -
> saprouter2 (P * * 3200) ---> SAP1, SAP2...
But how could we do that?
How can we let SAP know that they need to connect to 2 saprouters instead of 1?
The "Mantain System Data" in sap service marketplace only lets us introduce 1 saprouter.
And how should be the saproutettab of the 2 saprouters?

As far as my experience goes with this you have to maintain both router information in oss1 tcode
Also mention second router on the second router tab on the SMP data
I hope it should work with that as it will automatically create router table

In Landscapes,I create a NWDI system , and a step is "Add systems to landscape" and there is a button named "New Hosted System" .Here ,I can create SLD system that I wanted.

I have to load data from Flat files , but when i checked the source system connections File type source system connection is not present. Please guide me how can i create the same.

Hi Apoorva,
Goto RSA1 -> Source System -> Right Click on File Folder .-> Create -> Logical system Name as FLAT FILE -> Source system name is the description for this source -> Enter.
Once it is created you can right click from that file and check whether it has created properly or not.
When u r moving the objects which are created under this source, the same flat file source should have been created in the target system also. And check for the entry in the target system table RSLOGSYSMAP for the flat file when u r moving the flat file objects.

Unsupported chassis type 52, system can not boot

I'm trying to get a spare Sup. V engine module operational in a 4507E and get the above message when it try to boots.
I am not aware if this spare had been used in production before.
Not sure if I need to open a support ticket, so I thought I would see if anyone else has seen this behavior.

You don't have the right IOS version to meet the minimum requirements for this chassis.

Table 5 lists 12.2(40)SG as the minimum IOS required for a 4507R-E chassis and 12.2(54)SG as the minimum IOS for a 4507R+E chassis. You only have 12.2(37)SG1 on your engine, hence the lack of boot.
Upgrade the IOS via ROMMON (slow and painful, but it'll work) and re-try.

You can achieve this by personalizing the view for UWL.
Click on right side context menu of iView, click on personalize view
Here you will get list of Available Attributes not Displayed select System ID in that.
Save your settings and now you can see the task is from which system.
This will solve your problem.

Suggestions for 'cpanel' type management system for OEL?

I am probably going to get shot to bits on here for asking about this - but I am interested to know if anyone has tested / used any 'panel' type systems on OEL.
For large multi customer hosting operations, where you sometimes want to give the customer partial control of the server (basic tasks such as restarting services, adding websites, etc) it's not always possible to simply give them a shell and tell them to get on with it - that usually causes more problems!

BalanceRecurring type for system accounts

Is it possible to make system accounts (like Shares Owned etc) with type Balance Recurring?
I just want to enter or calculate data for system accounts in Jan and use it in next periods. And I want change it for next periods only if I need, but not for all periods.

It is not possible to change the Account Type of the system account. You can create a new account which you can tag as Balance Recurring and in the calulation sub routine you can flow that accounts value to the system account.

F# functions are of type Microsoft.FSharp.Core.FSharpFunc<'T,'U>, where in many cases 'U is another FSharpFunc type -- this is how currying and partial application work.
However there's a different incompatibility in this code as well
System.Func<Microsoft.AspNet.Identity.Owin.IdentityFactoryOptions<'T>,IOwinContext,'T>)
is a delegate that takes an IdentityFactoryOptions and returns a IOwinContext -- one input argument; whereas your Create member takes both of those types as input, returning an ApplicationUserManager.
What C# is after is a delegate type, so when you have the actual argument types sorted out, the
MSDN page for delegates in F# is here.

500 Internal Server Error for ArchiveLink Repository type SAP System Database

Hi, All!
I made all settings by SAP Note 595563 "Database storage for ArchiveLink" and set new repository for document type HRICOLFOTO (in view TOAOM_C).
When I try upload photo by tr.OAOH or open repository in tr.CSADMIN I get error "500 Internal Server Error".
When I see to the 3rd level ICM-log (tr.SMICM) I see full html response (in attached file).
Is there any idea?

Could you perform these steps and check the result
Start transaction SICF.
Go to "External aliases".
Select "default_host".
Select Create.
External alias: /sap/bc/contentserver
Description: HTTP Content Server interface
Fill anonymous logon data.
Select the target element /default_host/sap/bc/contentserver.
Save your entries.
