TypeWriter Icon is missingwhen I laod Acrobat Pro 9.3.3through my application

  mPDDoc = (Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc)mAVDoc.GetPDDoc();
avDoc.OpenInWindowEx(pdfPath, hwnd.ToInt32(), showTools ? 1 : 2, 1, 0, 1, 2, 0, 0, 0);
Iam opening acrobat pdf thru these lines of code. But Typewriter icon is not visible. Can you please help me with this

Yea, and it was when I installed the CS5 suite that Acrobat 9.3 stopped printing. I think it has something to do with the weird permissions issues that have plagued the CS5 install on the Mac since it was released. I have tried setting all the permissions right that I can, but might have missed something that could be breaking printing support.
I have already posted in the acrobat forums, and have tried all suggestions, and none of them worked.

    Hi Janice,
What version of Mac OS are you using?
Adobe does not recommend migrating the software from one disk to the other.
Please run the setup file for Acrobat and reinstall the software. You might want to delete the existing version of Acrobat installed before reinstalling it.

  • Acrobat Pro displays bitmapped when opening application. Do i need to re-install this?

I recently bought Adobe Creative Cloud. I bought several of the applications for desk top publishing. The Adobe Acrobat Pro does not display very well. It appears bitmapped, nothing in the applicaiton seems shape. This is also seen in the high resolution pdfs I have opened. Do I need to re-install this application or is there something that I need to download?

    Hi kevind45759405,
Since you are an annual subscriber of Acrobat XI, you are eligible to install the latest version of this software i.e. Acrobat DC that has been launched today.
You can simply install it from the Creative Cloud desktop application and activate it with your same Adobe credentials.
Let me know how it goes.

  • Security issue in Acrobat Pro 7.0

Hi, I've found this problem in Acrobat v7.
I created a document and signed it using my adobe digital signature (my sig displays an image of my hand written sig.) The signature appears on the doc with a green tick next to it to show that the sig is valid. I can now print out the doc which looks as though I've signed it - so far so good.
Then with the doc still open I can replace the page with another page, my sig now has warning next to it to show doc has been changed - however, if I print the doc it prints to show my sig still in place - without a warning.
This means that anyone using Acrobat v7 who has access to a digitally signed pdf can completely change the contents of the doc and print out what looks like a perfectly valid, signed document.
    Surely this can't be right?
I know this isn't a problem in V9 but I'm not in a position to upgrade over 100 users in corporate environment.
    Any comments?

But Acrobat Pro 7 is already updated to v.7.0.8, and AISB when I try to manually run the 7.0.9 updater I get error message "An invalid application was selected", even though I have definitely selected the Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 folder in my Application folder.

  • Upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.1 and prior versions still present cause confusion.

After buying Adobe Acrobat X Pro, installing it, I see Adobe Acrobat 8 Provessional and Adobe Acrobat Pro still are listed as "applications".  Should these be removed?  If so, does using the Acrobat Uninstaller.app allow me to specifically delete each without destroying my Adobe Acrobat X Pro version? I use Mac OS X Version 10.6.8.  I would like to avoid reinstalling Acrobat X Pro, but for no particular reason except that things are working so well at the moment. This is what is listed on my computer now.

    Hi,
Before removing Acrobat 8 please check the version of AdobePDFViewer plug-in.
Go to (Drive where OS is installed)\Library\Internet Plug-Ins\ and click on AdobePDFViewer.plugin to check its version. Now follow the instructions below
    a) If the version of plugin starts with 10 then
         - Launch Acrobat 8 Professional
         - Go to Help-> Activation->Deactivae
         - Then quit Acrobat 8
          - Trash the "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional" folder
    b) If the version of plugin starts with 8 then
          - Go to Acrobat 8 Professional folder
          - Launch the Acrobat Uninstaller app
          - in the browse dialog for uninstall select Adobe Acrobat Professional present in "Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional" folder
          - Reinstall Acrobat X Pro

  • How can I download Acrobat Pro?  Not listed in CC App Manager.

I have a CC membership.  When I click on "Download" Acrobat Pro, it open the CC Application Manager, but Acrobat (as well as some other apps) isn't listed as possible apps to download.  How do I get it?
Running:  Windows Vista, dual core 2.0 Ghz Intel
    Thanks.

Yes, that is correct. Several of the CC apps aren't supported on Vista; unfortunately the installer just hides them rather than giving a clearer indication of the problem.

  • Adobe Reader vs Adobe Acrobat Pro

I was able to make and compile PDF docs in the Adobe Acrobat
Pro. Today, every time I click on the Pro, the Reader opens where I
have no editing ability. I'm simply trying to create a flyer, like
I always had, where I combined several PDF docs into one and
organized the pages. Every shortcut for Pro is opening as the
Reader. What gives? This is sucking up my time and I'm getting
frustrated. Did I do something wrong? I'm simply saving a Word doc
as a PDF and then opening that PDF in Pro.

    Hello sanitra,
See if you can open Acrobat Pro manually, then within Acrobat
using file:open (or some opening variation), choosing the Word/PDF
doc you want to open up, from within Acrobat pro.
If all double-clicks of pdfs are opening up in Reader, and
you do not wish for it to do so, you will want to change the
application association for .pdf files to reflect Acrobat Pro,
    instead of the Reader application.
Perhaps the Reader got set as the default application upon
    install.
Alternatively, this question would best be asked in the
    Acrobat Forums.

  • Acrobat Pro 7.0.8 won't update

I cannot update Acrobat Pro 7.0.8 in Mac OSX 10.5.8 on PowerMac7,3 (PowerPC G5 dual 2.0 Ghz)
Finder and Get Info windows clearly show v.7.0.8 installed,
    as does Acrobat startup pane,
but when I open updater AcroProUpd709_all.dmg and try to install,
I get error message "An invalid application was selected"
I have double checked to make sure I'm selecting the Acrobat Pro 7 application folder.
Adobe updater hangs up, so I need to install updates manually for v.7.0.9 - 7.1.4

But Acrobat Pro 7 is already updated to v.7.0.8, and AISB when I try to manually run the 7.0.9 updater I get error message "An invalid application was selected", even though I have definitely selected the Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 folder in my Application folder.

  • CS5.5 Deserializes if you launch Acrobat Pro X

I have packaged up Design Premium CS 5.5 using Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition.  I have entered my volume serial while creating the package.  I have then deployed Design Premium and Acrobat Pro X using SCCM.
The Suite deploys successfully and if I then launch Photoshop as my first application everything is sweet.  The issue occurs if I launch Acrobat Pro X as my first application.  This casues the rest of the Design Premium suite to deserialize and I am then prompted to re enter my serial when launching any other CS application other than Acrobat Pro X.
Any help would be appreciated as I have this to deploy to 2500 machines.
    Thanks,
    Gary

Been like that for as long as I can remember even for single licenses. Not the answer you wanted to hear I'm sure.
I think the same thing happens when launching Bridge first.

  • Running Acrobat Pro X 1st de-serialises CS 5.5!

    Hi Everyone,
When you run Arobat Pro X before the other Master Collection CS5.5 products it de-serialises the whole suite!!
In CS4 they had a safe guard which would ask for the user to run another creative suite product first....which was fine! Now that its gone.. it breaks the serialisation of the entire suite.
Does anyone know of a fix/workaround anything?? I have 800 students who would love nothing more than to make more work for me, by deliberately opening acrobat first.
    Matt

    Hi,
    I FINALLY solved this today!
Turns out that the master collection serial isnt sufficient to serialise acrobat pro. Adobe had to give me a serial key specifically for Acrobat Pro X. This Is what I did in the end:
1.) Create a deployment package for Adobe Acrobat Pro X using the "Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition" (AAMEE) and only select Acobat Pro X from all the CS products.
2.) Use the Adobe Customisation Wizard X to modify the Acropro.msi in the Exceptions folder and enter the serial number Adobe provide for Acrobat Pro X under the "Personalisation Options", set any other things you want here.
3.) Create a second Deplyment package for all the Creative Suite Products EXCLUDING ACROBAT PRO X.
4.) Add these packages to SCCM. Make sure when you add the command line for acrobat that you call the TRANSFORMS file in the acrobat working directory. In my case its called acropro.mst. The command line should look something like   "msiexec.exe /i acropro.msi TRANSFORMS=acropro.mst /qn"
5.) Add Acrobat Pro X to your task sequence and be sure to install acrobat first. Then add the Creative Suite to the task sequence
All done... should deploy without issue and it doesnt matter if you open Acrobat or a creative suite product 1st. The products stay serialised!
Thanks to Jatin Dembla, Nirvek and Michael Savanis at Adobe for their support.
    Hope this helps.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.6 Sticky Note Icons are huge and can not resize

My coworker is having a problem with the size of the Sticky Note (comments) Icon.  It is huge and we can not resize.
When you open the icon, it takes up the whole page.  We can change the Font size, but the actual icon will not resize.
The same document opened up from someone else, the icon views normal. We all have Adobe Acrobat Pro V9.4.6.  Any suggestions on a fix?
    Thank You.

    JimJSC,
Your reply also helped fix a problem I had with not being able to resize sticky notes. My original display resolution meant that the resize symbols in the lower corners of the sticky note weren't accessible. In Acrobat X, the setting is under Acrobat, Preferences, Page Display, Resolution.
