Typewriter tool removing itself from toolbar

Hi everyone,
I'm running Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro and I've updated to 7.1.0 pro. For whatever reason, the Adobe typewriter tool will continuously disappear even after being placed on the toolbar and neither of the enlarge/decrease font size buttons can be used when it is there. Does anyone know what's causing this problem?

Likely that you activated the clipboard by copying something like an image from Photoshop or Illustrator and did this while Acrobat was open. If nothing is in your clipboard the option will be dimmed, otherwise it will be colorful and allow you to paste into the PDF.

On any mac application you should be able to right click (or control-click) on the toolbar and select Customize Toolbar... This will enable you to drag icons off the toolbar or onto the toolbar.
If you are referring to the Menu bar icons (in the upper right of the screen) then just press Command and then click and drag the icons off the menu bar to remove them.

Why is Pathfinder crop tool removing items from artboard?

I have a complexe vector drawing with shapes that pass the artboard. I want to crop the items within the artboard without using a clipping mask. My problem is when I draw a rectangle equal to the artboard, place it on it's own in the top layer, unlock and show all shapes (there are no open paths) and select everything, the results don't give me a proper cropped vector graphic. For some reason, it removes elements from within the artboard and leaves white lines where my paths are....live vapour trails! (there are no transparencies and everything is in RGB)

For some reason, it removes elements from within the artboard
The reason depends on specifically how your paths are drawn.
You should be able to do this:
1. Position a horizontal guide at the bottom of the Artboard.
2. Knife Tool: Position cursor outboard of Artboard. Press Alt. Mousedown (snapping to the Guide). ShiftDrag rightward across the bottom of the artwork.
However, that assumes reliable and accurate Snap behavior across the toolset, which Illustrator's isn't.
To avoid figuring out all the caveats of Illustrators very poorly implemented boolean path combination features (so-called Pathfinders):
1. Rectangle Tool. Draw a rectangle outboard of the Artboard, snapping the top of it to the bottom of the Artboard.
2. Copy.
3. ShiftClick one of the paths you want to cut.
4. Click the "punch" (Subtract) Pathfinder (assuming CS5 or CS4; altClick the same Pathfinder in CS3 and prior.)
5. PasteInFront. Repeat steps 3 & 4.

Tools are missing from toolbar in Elements 10

I have searched forums; clicked on every image that appears in the toolbar (copy below), reset the tool bar several times and still cannot find any "shape" tool. The installation was from a disk, and the Elements is installed on two computers, neither of which have a shape or line tool. Please help me find it.

Right click on the heart icon above the sponge tool, near the bottom. They are nested there.

Bonjour shared printer keeps removing itself from printer list

I print thru my imac G5 Tiger to a "Bonjour Shared" Smasung printer. I add the printer, load drivers, lock the preferences. Next day I have to search for the the printer again and reload again (searching) for drivers. Any way to keep this in my printer list so it does not have to search for drivers every time??

Issue or symptom
If you add a printer that is being shared by another Mac (it is displayed as "Kind: Bonjour Shared" in the Add Printer dialog window) to your printer list, then put your Mac to sleep, the printer may be removed from the printer list. The shared printer may not be removed during display sleep, only during system sleep (when your Mac's sleep light is pulsating).

Hello my name is Juan and I own an iPod touch, the newest one, and I rented 2 movies the other day in itunes through the ipod and I was able to download one movie and watch it but the with the other one I havent watched...it downloaded it and watched like 3 minutes of it then I had to download it again but it had already expired but it's still in the download page in iTunes and it says error to download tap again to retry and I did but it didn't work so I don't know what to do...is there anyway I can take it out of my download page? Because its takin to much space in my iPod >_<

Table somehow "removed" itself from main table.

I am a novice and have learned the basics of html in order to update my company's website and add new pages as they become necessary. In order to add the new pages, I have basically copied and pasted the code into DW, deleted the parts I don't need and added in the new stuff. I needed to add a link to a line of links at the bottom of the page, went through each page and put in identical code. The site has about 10 pages, and all but one look the way they should. Everything else looks great.
The one that went rogue has a footer which is in a larger font, is way over to the left (even though everything else is centered), and the line that runs across the top of this area (a .jpg) is too short. I have checked and checked the code and compared to other correct pages, and can not find a difference. The only difference I can see is when I view the split screen, and in the design view the main table (normally) will extend to the bottom of the page and the table which contains the footer is inside of this. On the one rogue page, the footer is below the main table and I can not seem to be able to get it to go back into the main table.
So I have two questions:
1) The "drag and drop" only deletes the code as far as I can tell, so how do I get this footer back into the main table (which is justified correctly)?
2) I am anticipating a lot of "add the code inside the table" responses, but I can not figure out which tags deal with which tables (this is part of the problem I think). Is there a way to search the code in DW and find only the related tags? (ie. if I find a </table> tag can I search for the <table> tag that corresponds to this without having to print out and search through the code by hand?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated! If you need additional information, I will do my best to provide it.

By placing the code back into the table! 8) This is where a knowledge of HTML (and ultimately CSS is absolutely essential). However a bit of knowledge about DW can help alot. For example if you click in one of the table cells in design view, then click on the right-most <table> tag on the Tag Selector (at the bottom of the document pane), you will see all the code for THAT TABLE highlight. This gives you a way to easily find which <table> tag belongs where. But I'm not sure what you mean by 'only deletes the code' in your comment above - if you mean that dragging and dropping somehow deletes code then you are mistaken.
The best way to solve your problem here would be to post a link to the recalcitrant page so we can see it and its code. You'll have your answer in a jiffy.

While using Firefox, it completely removed itself from my desktop. Now when I try to download Firefox it gives me an error message.

The link didn't work for me. It said the application failed to open. Do you think this problem could be due to the recent download of internet explorer 64 bit? I did some reading and it appears some flash players dont register with the new download. Any further help will be appreciated

Enabling Typewriter tool in browser

I have a web application that is displaying pdf files stored on a shared drive. The pdfs are displayed within the embedded viewer in IE. All users of this application have Adobe Standard installed. From a previous post, I saw that I could get the commenting toolbar to display by setting Collab.showAnnotToolsWhenNoCollab property to true. Is there anything I can do to also get the the typewriter tool to be functional within the embedded viewer in IE? I also saw another suggestion which entailed "invoke Acrobat's own annotation handling directly, even in the browser", which I'm not sure I understand how to do. What would be best? I may need some other functionality such as flattening to be available as well.

If you have any sort of network/enterprise setup for your users (which I am guessing if they are all running Acrobat Standard), then use the Acrobat Tuner (Enterprise Installer Wizard) to put the Typewriter tool in their standard toolbar and then it's always there.

TypeError: Error #1006 - Removing MovieClip from the stage

I have a movie clip that is called to the stage and once the movieclip is finished it calls a function that removes it from the stage. The code works but I get an error message about 4 seconds after the movie clip ends.

IWork software deleted itself from computer

Hello,
This is an unusual one.... Somehow, all iWork software has removed itself from my computer. I am definite that I did not accidentally uninstall it. I checked the app store purchases, and keynote and numbers are showing up. Pages does not seem to be under purchases. This is the one that I use the most. I can find Pages in the app store, but I am unable to install it again. Does anyone know what's going on and how I can fix it?

Highlight tool, typewriter tool, etc. disappeared + gone from menu

I installed Acrobat 9.5.5 Pro as part of the CS4 Suite several years ago. I'm a casual user of Acrobat 9 Pro. I have used the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool on many documents over the years. Many that I have saved on my computer. They have renderable text!
Suddenly the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool, and others, have disappeared + are gone from the Tools + its sub-menus. I'm a pretty savvy computer user. I don't recall that I did anything to change the Tools menu.
When I go to View\Toolbars\More Tools... the the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool don't show there either.
I reinstalled Acrobat 9 Pro from the original CD... the tools menu is still missing the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool, and others. (I say "others" because, although I may not have used them, I sense there were previously more tools visible on the Tools + its sub-menus
Can anyone advise me how to recover the Highlight tool and Typewriter tool?

This happens to all PDF's, those created by me or otherwise. The files are not protected.
You pointed me to a link as a possible solution: "To use the Typewriter tool in Reader 9 on a PDF opened in the browser, enable this right on the PDF using Adobe Acrobat Professional." => "Choose Tools > Typewriter > Enable typewriter tool in Adobe Reader." => I don't have a problem with Reader 9. I cannot find this option in my Acrobat 9.5.5 Pro.
Neither the Highlight tool or Typewriter tool exist in the More Tools menu.
I cannot select highlighted text that I created by itself. I can select a block of text that contains highlighted text within the block,however I cannot modify it.
If I try to select a text box that I created with my mouse, it flashes a light blue shade very briefly as I left click on it, but does not actually select the box and allow me to access it.

After much research and not finding an answer that worked. I just went to Tools and under Options and the General Tab where it says Home Page I just changed it to Google and it worked like a charm. I also had uninstalled it from the control panel but it kept showing up on Firefox. So I just did the above and it worked.
