Hi Pranathi
there are so many printers available in the market.
but some of the printer manufacturers i am telling you according to my experiences..
1) Intermac
2) Zebra
zebra is most extinguishly used on.. look for Z4Mplus or Z6Mplus barcode printers...
if you need desktop series then try LP/TLP 2844 & DA402 this will be good ..
if you find the information useful please give points

  • Drivers for Barcode Printers

    Hi,
I'm currently working on trying to print a barcode from my MI application. Thanks to all posts found here, I was able to develop it. Now, when using the "emulation mode" in NWDS, I can see my barcode printed on the screen.
I'm now trying to print directly to the printer. The printer we have is Zebra QL420+.
I've checked OSS note 761833 which gives all printers drivers, but the ones specified for my printer are only for WinCE, or PPC or PDA... Nothing for "normal" computers...
Has anyone tried to install a PPC printer on a WinXP machine using the WebConsole ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jonathan Tayar.

Dell printers made by Lexmark but they only support Windows.
Even Lexmark has very little support for Mac mostly for more expensive models only. I had a all in one Lexmark and found this out. You try and go into printer setup and try and force a lexmark driver to work.Worth a Shot

  • Barcode Specifications For CODE 39

    Hi All,
I need to print the barcodes using smartforms, I am able to print it but now my requirement is to change the specifications of the barcodes as per standard document provides to me. IT says "width of narrow module element should be in the range of 0.25mm to 0.43mm and ratio of wide elements to narrow elements should be 3:1.
Please help me in acheving this. There are 4 values that i can specify while creating bar code style through SE73.
Please let me know how can I achieve the above mentioned specifications. IF possible give an example.
    Thanks.

    Dear Tobias,
SAP's print device type support's strategy is called PVP (Printer Vendor Program). Mainstream printer manufacture can participate into it, and SAP leave the device development work to them. So you need to choose proper Xerox's device type.
Xerox just became a PVP member recently, so the device types for SAP are not finished yet. You can find in note Note 1135054:
'The Fuji Xerox device types are still under development.'
But you can contact Xerox by http://www.xeroxofficesapsolutions.com
For barcode printing on Xerox's printer, you can also find
'Xerox Intelligent Barcode Printing Solutions' in the website.
    Hope this helps.

  • Adobe Acrobat 10.1.3 Mac OS does not inherit the Duplex setting from PPD for HP printers

Adobe Acrobat for the Mac OS does not inherit the setting from the PPD for the printer. Our current settings for the PPD has Duplex enabled as the default for the HP LJ 9050 and it works in all the application with the exception of Acrobat 10.1.3, Acrobat does not inherit this setting from the driver.  Our previous installation with Acrobat 10.1.0 duplex worked well with our PPD configuration where Acrobat inherits the setting from the PPD and duplex is default for all our black and white printers.
We found reference to the reserve issue with 10.1.2 in the forum but that solution is global for all printers and it only works with version 10.1.2
Does anyone know how to set the default printing settings in Acrobat version 10.1.3 to allow us to have duplex printing by default on the Mac.

    >It looks like a typical case of finger pointing, Adobe blames Epson, Epson blames Apple. Apple blames the user...
No, you still don't get it...Lightroom is a Cocoa app...it uses Cocoa printing APIs...therefore, print drivers will have to be rev'ed to support those Cocoa APIs...the 3800 (6.10) DOES...the earlier 3.5x drivers won't under Leopard.
What's the driver version of your R800? Something like 3.09? The odds are REAL GOOD (since Epson hasn't released an updated driver for that printer yet) that it's not been updated.
So, you are just gonna have to wait for Epson to rev the drivers, use Tiger instead of Leopard or print out of Photoshop CS3 (which is a Carbon app and uses the Carbon APIs) or not print.
You may not _LIKE IT_ but those are your options...

  • Video shot specifically for Slow Motion playback

I thought I might try starting a thread for sharing video shot specifically for the purpose of playing it back in slow motion. For the first example, I shot this flag flying on a perfectly clear day. We have had a lot of really clear blue days lately much to my delight.
My Panasonic DMC-GH3 can shoot 1920X1080 at 60 (59.94) frames per second. That is frames, not fields. So interpreted at 29.97 frames per second it plays half speed. This was taken a step farther and played back at 24p. So if my math is correct, it is playing at 40% (close enough).
Funny, but the camera actually has a setting to shoot video to play back at 40% but it seems redundant to me. Perhaps if the video was never going to be edited, just played back, that could come in handy.
I used a recording from the US Army Band because I was in the Army and I am just used to hearing it played by the Army Band. I thought of adding the lyrics since I really like them. All four verses. I just didn't have enough footage to do it right and I love the sunshine and blue skies. So here is a link to the four verses for those who want to play the video four times and sing along. Nobody? Are you sure? I did it. Couldn't help it.
I am probably going to put up a couple more copies. One with the Pledge of Allegiance and one with the first verse of the National Anthem.  In the meantime, I am enjoying all that blue sky.
If your camera can shoot at a higher frame rate to play back at 24p, please post some examples.  If you are particularly good at using Premiere Pro to modify the playback speed of video, let's see what you've got.
The camera was siting on a GorillaPod shooting at approximately a 30 degree angle. The lens was my 100-300 set for 183mm, the equivalent of 355mm on a 35mm camera.
ISO 200. This video has not been modified in any way other than interpreting it to play at 24 frames per second, to trim off the beginning and the end (to eliminate the shaky setup and take down of the shot), and I also added cross-dissolve transitions at the beginning and the end. No color correction of any kind and no stabilization. This is what the camera saw.
I really love the flag of the United States. If you live in the United States I hope you do too. Today is Washington's Birthday. So Happy Birthday to the Father of our country. Our first President. This is my present to our founding fathers on this day, and I chuckle to think about how shocked they might be at the number of stars on the flag, and I am sad when I think how mad they would be if they knew how far we have strayed from the principles they fought and died for.
(I'll bet old Ben Franklin would love the Internet though.)

Steve, regarding my request getting inside flag and changing shutter speed etc..
I have to admit right off that I don't understand this myself as I should...and I don't have a motion pic camera OR the DSLR ....which I can get in April ...at which time I will be off to the races trying to figure out how to use it.
But the gist of what I was getting at ( though hazy and not understood by me ) I'll try to explain...
Motion pic film cameras with the mechanical gizmo that pulls down the film ( frame by frame ) have a rotating shutter ( the gizmo is typically called a mitchel movement I think ). The rotating shutter has a mirro on the back side which allows a person to 'see' via some magic stuff ( prism ? ) what is in the frame ( eyepiece ). I guess it's similar to a SLR mirror but this one spins.
This is what it looks like
So, a normal setting for that shutter is 180 degrees... and it spins so that each frame gets 'exposed' by the open part of the shutter. Then when the shutter is spun to the closed side ( no light getting to film frame ) the 'next frame of film' is dragged down into place to be exposed. So that happens typically 24 times per second.  It is pretty fast.
Some motion pic cameras can shoot even FASTER ( amazingly )...and you can therefore increase the FPS. Then as you know when it's played back at 24 FPS in projector, it looks like slower motion.
Unfortunately if the FPS is increased the 180 degree shutter may not be letting in enough light to get a good exposure anymore... so that shutter can be adjusted ( called the shutter angle ).
So a 45 degree shutter would let a lot more light hit the film ...cause it lets more light through its rotation time.  This is the part where I can totally confused....and hopefully I'll learn more when I get the DSLR how this is handled with modern digital camera.
Cause, if you let more light hit the film by adjusting film motion pic shutter it stands to reason there will more " blur " from the longer exposure. However, this is offset by the faster FPS speed... so this is why I am curious about it...
As a point of fact motion pic cameras can be synchd to CRT screens using a mechanism that times the shutter to coincide with the horizontal 'lines' of the CRT ( timing of frames of interlaced signal )... and the shutter has many 'angles' it can be adjusted to ..
So, anyway, I guess this is something to explore when I get that DSLR...
I was thinking it might look cool to have slo mo with more 'blur' to make something look a little ghost like...kinda like my flag picture with time exposure...
    crazy idea...

  • Specifications for development

    hi gurus
how to give thje specifications for development?

To speak at macro level that is at projet manager or at senior levels.  The Functional Spec (Specification) which is a comprehensive document is created after the (SRS) Software Requirements Document. It provides more details on selected items originally described in the Software Requirements Template. Elsewhre organizations combine these two documents into a single document.
The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functinality.. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders, and contains the technical information and the  data needed for the design and developement.
The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particulat area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed.
The functional specification translates the Software Requirements template into a technical description which
    a) Ensures that the product feature requirements are correctly understood before moving into the next step, that is detchnical developement  process.
    b) Clearly and unambiguously provides all the information necessary for the technical consultants to develop the objects.
At the consultant level the functional spects are preapred by functinal consultants on any functionality for the purpose of getting the same functinality designed by the technical pepole as most of the times the functionalities according to the requirements of the clients are not available on ready made basis.
Let me throw some light on documentation which is prepared before and in a project:
    1) Templates
    2) Heat Analysis -
    3) Fit Gap or Gap Analysis
    4) Business Process Design
    5) Business Process Model
    6) Business Change & Impact
    7) Configuration Design, which is just 5 % of Total SAP- have different names -
    8) Future Impact & Change Assessement
    9) Functional Design (Module Wise)
    10) Risk Assessement
    11) Process Metrics and Many More-- Which has impact on Business and its work flow
    In Details
Functional specifications (functional specs), in the end, are the blueprint for how you want a particular report and transaction to look and work. It details what the report will do, how a user will interact with it, and what it will look like. By creating a blueprint of the report or transaction first, time and productivity are saved during the development stage because the programmers can program instead of also working out the logic of the user-experience. It will also enable you to manage the expectations of your clients or management, as they will know exactly what to expect.
A key benefit of writing up a Functional Spec is in streamlining the development process. The developer working from the spec has, ideally, all of their questions answered about the report or transaction and can start building it. And since this is a spec that was approved by the client, they are building nothing less than what the client is expecting. There should be nothing left to guess or interpret when the spec is completed.
    Functional Specification
A functional specification (or sometimes functional specifications) is a formal document used to describe in detail for software developers a product's intended capabilities, appearance, and interactions with users. The functional specification is a kind of guideline and continuing reference point as the developers write the programming code. (At least one major product development group used a "Write the manual first" approach. Before the product existed, they wrote the user's guide for a word processing system, then declared that the user's guide was the functional specification. The developers were challenged to create a product that matched what the user's guide described.) Typically, the functional specification for an application program with a series of interactive windows and dialogs with a user would show the visual appearance of the user interface and describe each of the possible user input actions and the program response actions. A functional specification may also contain formal descriptions of user tasks, dependencies on other products, and usability criteria. Many companies have a guide for developers that describes what topics any product's functional specification should contain.
For a sense of where the functional specification fits into the development process, here are a typical series of steps in developing a software product:
    Requirements:
This is a formal statement of what the product planners informed by their knowledge of the marketplace and specific input from existing or potential customers believe is needed for a new product or a new version of an existing product. Requirements are usually expressed in terms of narrative statements and in a relatively general way.
Objectives: Objectives are written by product designers in response to the Requirements. They describe in a more specific way what the product will look like. Objectives may describe architectures, protocols, and standards to which the product will conform. Measurable objectives are those that set some criteria by which the end product can be judged. Measurability can be in terms of some index of customer satisfaction or in terms of capabilities and task times. Objectives must recognize time and resource constraints. The development schedule is often part or a corollary of the Objectives.
Functional specification.: The functional specification (usually functional spec or just spec for short) is the formal response to the objectives. It describes all external user and programming interfaces that the product must support.
Design change requests: Throughout the development process, as the need for change to the functional specification is recognized, a formal change is described in a design change request.
    Logic Specification:
The structure of the programming (for example, major groups of code modules that support a similar function), individual code modules and their relationships, and the data parameters that they pass to each other may be described in a formal document called a logic specification. The logic specification describes internal interfaces and is for use only by the developers, testers, and, later, to some extent, the programmers that service the product and provide code fixes to the field.
    User documentation:
In general, all of the preceding documents (except the logic specification) are used as source material for the technical manuals and online information (such as help pages) that are prepared for the product's users.
Test plan: Most development groups have a formal test plan that describes test cases that will exercise the programming that is written. Testing is done at the module (or unit) level, at the component level, and at the system level in context with other products. This can be thought of as alpha testing. The plan may also allow for beta test. Some companies provide an early version of the product to a selected group of customers for testing in a "real world" situation.
    The Final Product:
Ideally, the final product is a complete implementation of the functional specification and design change requests, some of which may result from formal testing and beta testing. The cycle is then repeated for the next version of the product, beginning with a new Requirements statement, which ideally uses feedback from customers about the current product to determine what customers need or want next.
Most software makers adhere to a formal development process similar to the one described above. The hardware development process is similar but includes some additional considerations for the outsourcing of parts and verification of the manufacturing process itself.

  • Please update the functional specifications for Vendor Balance Report

    Dear All,
Please update the functional specifications for Vendor Balance Report with
    proper descriptions.
    Please include
    1. How your selection screen should look like..
    2. Output format ( in an excel sheet)
    3. Logic for every field in the output format (viz. .. how do link the
vendors from the selection screen to the BKPf and BSEG tables, how do you
find open and closed items in BSEG , etc.)
Please avoid statements like 'The total value of all the break-up should
tally with the balance as shown in FBL1N for a given vendor for the given
    day.'
You need to give the logic for the FBL1N, in that case.

    Hello again,
Regarding having them update the specs, one can dream. Dreams are free. LOL. Hopefully the memory makers will update their specs as more makers start supporting a large memory configuration.
The 4GB sticks I am using are http://shop.kingston.com/partsinfo.asp?ktcpartno=KTL-TP667/4G
I did not do an extended test of the sticks in my MBP. Their home is in the ThinkPad I have because it is running Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V.
As you can see from the link above, these little suckers are pricey. But consider the price of 2GB SoDIMMs were $950 when they entered the market a couple of years ago. The price will drop.
I asked the Kingston rep that sent these to me if online sites like newegg.com would have them soon. She indicated no, but the corporate buying sites like CDW and Zone would. So check around. They just started shipped a couple of weeks ago so be patient.

  • How do I add a device to my iCloud? - specifically for "Find my iPhone"

    Hi All,
How would I go about adding my old iPod Nano to our "newest" iCloud/iTunes account?  We recently had a theft of one of our iPod Touches and I am trying to make sure ALL Apple products are covered moving forward.  I believe my husband registered his iPod Nano to his account a long time ago before we realized we should just use one and customize in settings but it won't let me register it (iPod Nano) to mine... I've tried... I even tried to re-add my old iPod Touch (stolen one) but it wouldn't work.  ***** - because I could totally DELETE everything whenever I wanted if that were the case.  So bummed.
If you know how to do this please let me know.  If I need to basically "create" a separate "find my iPhone" specifically for this product... let me know.  I am OK either way.  I just really wish I could have done this for my other one that was stolen.
I HIGHLY recommend that everyone download Lion OS to use iCloud and really utilize ALL its features.  I'm still learning ... day 2 for me but am super happy thus far.
    Thanks!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If the nano can't run iOS 5 (I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it can), then it can't be used with Find my Phone.

  • Can I use my new iphone 5 with the old iHome iD9SVC Speaker System if I get an apadter? or should i just buy new speaker system made specifically for the iphone5

Look iTunes>Preferences>Devices...is a backup listed for your iPhone 5 dated BEFORE you restored your iPhone 4 backup to your iPhone 5? If not, your data is gone. If there is a backup, on your iPhone 5: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You should now be able to restore that backup, if it exists, to your iPhone 5.

  • HP, Win7, and Drivers for Older Printers Of Course

Running  Win7RC 32 Bit just for compatibility testing.  My parents have a 5650 and I have a 5850 at home in the Deskjet printer series that have been great printers.  Maybe some of HP's best compared to my 600, 700, and 800 series of years past My 5850 is using the 5600 family drivers in Vista 32 Bit and works good.  Win7RC is another story BUT it is still considered beta ware.  The vast majority of answers in this forum concerning printer drivers state that everyone should wait til October 22.  I am asking if there is any hope for us older printer owners in receiving compatiable drivers or should we start looking for new printers?  I would imagine that the HP engineers have an idea of what HP products they plan to support and which items will be obsolete.    Windows 7 has a lot of anxious people ready to move up from XP and especially Vista.  I myself would like to be ready for Win7 when my three pre-ordered copies arrive in October just as many people here would.  Would be a shame to load a new OS and not be able to print anything.

By the way, the HP 6MP Laser Jet in my office works with my Win7RC notebook.  It is being shared through a server running XP Pro SP3 and received the driver from the server.  The Win7RC notebook is also able to print to our HP P4014n Laser Jet network printer OK.  I have a 882C Desk Jet on our network running on another XP Pro SP3 PC, but I have not tried connecting to it yet.

  • HP Solution Center for 2 printers on Windows 7 64bit

I have an HP Windows7 professional 64 bit laptop with a hp photosmart c309g and a Photosmart 7520 e all in one for wireless printers on our home network. the c309g shows up in the HP Solution Center, but the 7520 does not, so we are unable to set up printer shortcuts for easier print or items as either one - sided or two-sided and for changing between regular letter printing to photos.
Is the 7520 able to be added to the HP Solution Center? How? Will we be able to have both in the Solution Center?

    Hi,
Have you installed its software and drivers yet ? If yes
Click Start > All Programs > HP > HP [your printer]
Properly installation you will have its icon on desktop.

  • What is posted availability specification for Windows server 2012? 2012R2?

I am trying to put together a high availability solution and I want to know what the availability 'claim' of the individual components would be. What is the availability specification for Windows server 2012 and Windows Server 2012R2?(for example 99.9%
availability for the O/S itself). This would be in a non clustered or Load Balanced state. Just a single server running the O/S.

    Hi,
SLA requirements determine how components such as storage, clustering, and backup and recovery factor into your organization. The term high availability is meaningless until you define how to measure it. IT shops measure high availability as the percentage of
time that systems are available, but the provider and consumer of high-availability services must agree on what constitutes availability and how the time is measured.

The iPad charger is rated at 10W - 5V @ 2A  An iPhone/iPod charger is rated at 5W - 5V @ 1A. An iPhone charger will charge the iPad, but much slower than the iPad charger. Based on the specs, I don't think it's adequate for the iPad.
