Typing text in newsletter

I am using HP Creations Christmas Newsletter format....
When I type the text I want it larger to be able to create it.
I can upload, print, etc., but the text issue still exists.
I want to be able to see it clearly when I create the text.
How can I enlarge it to type the text (not enlarged for final copy)?

Hi Chickenest.
If you don't want to alter your layout, you could also duplicate the page, enlarge and proof the text there, and then copy and paste it back into the text box on the original page. That way you wouldn't have to switch between programs.
To duplicate a page, select one of the other tool tabs (e.g., Photos, Graphics, or Themes) and then click the + button in the Storyboard at the bottom of the page.
The Full button also gives you a closer look at your project.

Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

An app to where I can edit existing PDF files with typed text

I would love to be able to edit my contracts for my business on the iPad to email. On my computer I use Adobe Photoshop. My contract is a PDF. I would like to find an app where I can just fill in details in the appropriate locations on the contract using typed text with selectable fonts like filling in the customers name etc. any ideas.

Rather than editing saved PDF (which can very easily mess up the PDF formatting and lots of other things), keep the original document (word processor file) and edit that as needed then save as a PDF.

Change color of future typed text in a pasted document?

How do I change color of future typed text in a copied document? Thanks. My son is doing online home schooling this year and has Study Sheets that he types in his answers. Currently, he highlights his typed text then chooses the color. Is it possible to auto-format this somehow? Thanks!

Pages relies a lot on Styles. Either you can create a paragraph style with a green text colour or just create a character style with a text colour. Here is an image from a document with several character styles in colour.
In the second image I have instead created a Paragraph style with green text colour. This is the only way you can get a template to remember a change of colour as the default is alway black. To create the styles you click on the small triangle to the left of None (for character style) or Body (paragraph style) and choose Redefine style from selection. Save as Template.

When typing text in forms, the vertical bar gets multiplied all over the place.

Often when I'm typing text into a form on various sites, be it Facebook or this very site, the vertical bar that follows the input text gets randomized all over the line and appears multiple times. The glitch disappears about half a second after I stop typing (as soon as the pipe character starts blinking), but it still drives me nuts when I'm typing something regularly. Typing text onto a Customized Slide which has been imported in Final Cut 10.0.7

Is there a way to type text onto a Customized Slide in which I imported into Final Cut Pro 10.0.7 (my operating system is Snow Leopard)?

I don't think you understand the question, I want use a slide that I generated from outside of Final Cut Pro and want to be able to modify that slide by typing text or taking text that I generated outside of Final Cut Pro and pasting it into the slide without having to import the slide into Final Cut Pro. The reason I want to do that is because the Slides in Final Cut Pro do not do what I want it to do....I am putting large amounts of text in my presentation and to have to import each slide individually takes too much time.

Why can't I use backspace button or go back and edit typed text?

I recently upgraded my OS to 10.6.8 on my mac mini, allowing me to update my Firefox. Ever since then, when typing any text, such as this one, or in an email, or a comment post on a blog, I am unable to use the backspace button, go back and edit any text, and at times no key on my keyboard works at all. Intensely frustrating and I have no idea what is going on. Please let me know what settings to change so that I can go back correct spelling, make edits, backspace, all the normal usual things that a person does when typing text. Thank you.

Make Effects 'Stick' to Continuously Rasterized Layers/Typed Text?

I want to apply an effect (specifically a Ramp) to a Continuously Rasterized layer of typed text but because of the change in render order when you turn on Continuously Rasterize the Ramp doesn't 'stick' to the type as it's moved.
I would SWEAR there was an expression you could add to the position values of the Ramp (Start, End) to get them to move WITH the type but I can't think of it or find it.

One of the documents that you pointed to does contain the kernel of your answer:
"The default rendering order for a layer without continuous rasterization is masks, followed by effects, and then transformations; whereas the default rendering order for a continuously rasterized layer is masks, followed by transformations, and then effects."
The issue is that for continuously rasterized layers, effects follow transformations (e.g., Position changes). You have several ways to take more control of the render order. The two that come immediately to mind are (1) precompose the text layer and move the precomposition layer (2) apply the Transform effect and do your position animation within that effect.

I am having tremendous difficulty sending simple voice text messages, or typed text messages to non I-phone users. Picture text messages will not send at all and can only be sent to other i-phone users. Is anyone else haing this problem ?? Big concern

Well this is stupid - I wrote the question above and now it is telling me the message is blank - how dumb is this.

Simple text messages are sporadic and seem to be impacted by whether I incluse a subject or not - picture texts will not go at all.

It's a corporate phone so will need to check. Will not send text messages to non I-phones if they contain a "subject" or a picture. Wierd - regular voice or typed text messages are fine.

When typing text. My IPad keeps inserting full stops followed by a Cap letter. Also Back arrow, when tapped once, goes back quickly. And deletes everything that I have. Just typed.Would appreciate your help..

Do yo have the "." shortcut set to On? (Settings>General>Keyboard). If you do, it may be that you are hitting the space bar twice without realizing it. This will insert a period.

Typed text displays very slowly.

With no programs running, I generally open several web sites with latest FF (salesforce, meebo, google voice, google apps email, contacts, calendar, wave and sometimes google docs). I have a FF addon to stop flash from running to try to reduce computer resources from being used that I don't need. Usually, everything works fine.
Sometimes, however, the following things go wrong:
1) everything slows to a crawl and you have to reboot, which fixes it.
2) More problematic, sometimes speed is not the issue except for typing text. For example, right now typing this post is so slow that I can easily type a full sentence before it slowly one character at a time displays it. Rebooting does fix this.
The activity monitor does show FF using 100% of CPU.
Any ideas? Can I increase the memory cache or something?

Try starting Firefox in safe mode, to disable plugins. Badly behaved plugins are the usual cause for FF to go crappy.

Typing Text on some websites is very slow.

When I go to certain websites such as Huffington Post or even Facebook typing in them is very slow or delayed. The text I am typing does not appear as I'm typing it on a realtime basis. The text I'm typing now is fine and it's not my keyboard as typing text in Word causes no such problems. Is there something about the code used for text/comment boxes that could cause this?

I've had the same problem too - for me, it was an animated persona that caused the problem. As it turns out, ''any'' animated persona I try slows down typing in any window, and seems to slow down the entire application too.
If you've changed personas recently, I'd try that first!
Why is firefox offering personas that slow their browser down so badly? I like the animated personas, but I couldn't find a single one that worked without causing this problem... and I have a pretty fast computer and an updated browser. Either fix the problem, or don't offer a feature that messes everything else up!

Help: Typing text on N900

While typing text either in emails or messages, I fail to see how to accept autocorrected entries via the virtual keyboard. On the hardware keyboard it is done by pressing > key (itself not very convenient), but I haven't found any way of doing it on the software keyboard.

Press the highlighted word in the preview box at the top of the screen.. It is a bit irritating since it isn't like pressing a button.. the highlighted word is in a different place each time.. but that seems the only way to do it that I've found

Very strange problem typing text in Keynote

I am having a really ridiculous problem typing text in Keynote. Everytime that I type the characters "fi" together, Keynote autocorrects and changes it to "fä".
This is incredibly inconvenient as you can imagine. And it does not happen in any other program.
Anyone, any idea?

It sounds like the computer is trying to create the automatic "ligature" I believe it's called, but that font doesn't seem to want to allow Apple's auto-ligatures to display. Is it a "text" or "headline/decorative" font? You should be able to turn off auto-ligatures for that bit of text so that your original letters display separate as intended.

I have Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.1, when I am typing text such as email when I hit the shift key and certain letters it activates the shortcut keys and is very annoying how do I get this to stop?

This has happened multiple times. While typing email and also in forums. This is a new computer with Windows 7 so not sure if problem is something in Windows or with Firefox. Sometimes when I hit Shift and t a new tab will open, or shift and w will cause a pop up to come asking if I want to navigate away from this window. I have had other things pop up as well but not sure what they were or what keys I hit that caused them to show up. It tends to happen as I am typing faster. But when this happens, such as the shift t thing, I will close the tab and go back to what I was typing. Watching carefully that i am not hitting the ctrl key I hit shift t and the new tab will pop up again. The only way to get this to stop is to hit the esc key then I am able to to type fine again until it starts again. Once I was typing and my entire text highlighted and disappeared and I lost everything, so yes it can be extremely annoying. Hopefully someone can help me to solve this problem.

Yes, I have rebooted the computer several times. Logged off for the night and login this morning.
It still is happening.
It happens when I type a message in yahoo; when I login to yahoo, both trading platforms and several other applications.
After a while it stops - don't know if there is a key I strike that deactivates what every it is that is making the the keys perform the shortcut function. Sometimes by hitting ESC more than 4 times but less than 10 seems to stop it (or so it appears as the next time I type a msg in Yahoo mail the keys don't activate the toolbar "edit" function. Sometimes striking the backspace key over and over again when there is nothing to delete appears to stop it from happening.
Anymore suggestions? Greatly appreciated. Tired of retyping 3 or more times. Have gotten to the point where I type in word or notepad and paste my username and password into the appropriate areas or into the message area.
Will capture image next time.
