Hi,
In our development, I tried to modify an old report but got the message
BEx transport request ABC3005000 is not available or not suitable
and opened up in BEx but in a read only mode.
My goal was to modify this report.
I therefore spent time to create a new report just like the original report with my modifications. On the next day, I wanted to make some changes in the new report but in opening it, I got the same message as the original one:
BEx transport request ABC3005000 is not available or not suitable
What seems to be going on? What can I do to be able to make modifications in BEx
without this massage?
The switch Change mode is no available to switch.
I assume it implies that the query has been transported already so it wont allow additional changes, but why it the same problem with the new one just created?

I went through the steps you suggested:
RSA1 -> Transport Connection
Create transport requests for Bex (BEx truck icon); I double-clicked on a package (click on Assign/Delete) and created a new transport request AABB555.
The problem is that, right after that when I open BEx, select Add-Ins, Open Queries, it attempts to open but instead of bringing up the list of queries for selection to attempt to edit, BEx flashes and freezes up.
Then from there BEx freezes up. Any ideas?
I went into se09 and deleted the new transport request AABB555;
Now, BEx can open up the queries instead of the freezing up, but it gives the message:
"BEx transport request 'AABB555' is not suitable or available. Request/task AABB555' does not exist"
When I choose OK, it brings me into the query but still only in read only mode and can't edit.
Any more ideas?

i have transported a cube with "data flow after" option and collected in a package zbexquality.
this request was transported to productin and i can see the queries in production too.
now when i go to change any of the queries on this cube, it gives me the following error:

There are the following possible causes:
No request has been set up as the standard transport request for BEx objects.
The (set up) request 'BWDK900073' (for the package 'ZBEXQUALITY' ) has already been released.
The (set up) request 'BWDK900073' (for the package 'ZBEXQUALITY' ) is not of the type 'transportable change request'.
System response
The request BWDK900073 can not be used to record changes to BEx objects (queries or Excel workbooks). The changes made to objects you are editing will not be logged.
Procedure
If you want to record changes to BEx objects, set up an open transportable change request as the transport request for BEx objects. (If the package 'ZBEXQUALITY' is not empty, set up a request for this package).
Inform your system administrator of your actions, or enter a new, targeted transport request in the Administrator Workbench in the transport connection by using the 'BEx' pushbutton (Create Transport Requests for BEx).

hi S B,
as mentioned in your previous thread,
each time you released request for query to be transported for 1st time, you will need to create
BEx request with same package as soon as the request released, otherwise you won't be able to save changes
to the query in that request.
rsa1->transport connection->icon truck and bex,
assign with package ZBEXQUALITY.

How to change the transport request of a NOTE without undoing the note

When we applied the OSS NOTE we put it in a transport request. How can we move the objects into another transport request? Since this is a REPAIR type, SAP does not allow manual copy of the entries. I don't want to include the objects of this transport into another one, Is there any other way?

1. Create a new transport request in SE01
2. Select the request and click on "Include Objects: button.
3. Select "Freely Selected Objects: option from the pop-up windoe
4. Select "Selected Objects" option
Now you see three rows without any PGMID selected.
5. Check the checkbox corresponds to the row and enter the value OBJ & OBJNAME (Textbox without any label). (This valued can be retrieved from your previous request).
6. Delete the same object from your previous request.
7. Click on "execute" button.
8. Click on "Save In request" button.

Transport Request No is not population while doing changes in DEV system

Hi Its solved now.I just changed the settings in transport connection. Here are the steps..
go to RSA1 --> Transport connection--> EDIT-->TRANSPORT-->SWITCH _ON_STANDARD.
It now populating tr req no all the time if there is a change in DEV.

After importing the transport request status is not changing to imported

Hi Experts,
I have added the data & cofiles from rollout system to sandbox system via sftp on os level. Now when I am trying to import these requests, the requests are not getting imported.
Can any one tell me the reason?
In tp system log, I found the following entry:
ERROR: /usr/sap/trans/cofiles/K999999.DEV : can't open
: Permission denied
OS is AIX
After transferring from rollout system to sandbox system, should we change permissions of the data & cofiles.
Please let me know. it is urgent

Transport Request Active version not correct

Hi,
We have been moving the Trasport Request from Development to Quality. Here each time a new version is created.
But when i was testing it was taking the runtime of
old version even though the Active version is the recently moved one.
I have also tried deleting the old version of the workflow
in Quality and moved again, this time it is not moving.
This is R/3 4.7, Level55, Was 6.2, Travel workflow (BUS2089)
Please let me know if you have any idea.

the same issue occured for my workflow as well. Please try this out as well, this rectified our issue ;
Phenomenon:
You have changed your workflow template in client 000. If you look to the workflow definition in another client with SWDD, then you see the newest version as just maintained in client 000. But at runtime, the old (former) version of the workflow definition is used.
Cause:
When activating a workflow template, then also some client specific data is replicated from client 000 to the other clients. In this replication there is currently an error. I just talked to a workflow colleague. The problem we have observed seems to be just the tip of an iceberg ... . They are working on the issue(s) related to this.
Workaround:
Execute function module SWD_WFD_REPLICATE_FROM_9999 in the client, you need to have the newest template definition. Enter your workflow template ID (with pattern "WSxxxxxxxx") in parameter IM_TASK and execute. Make sure that you do not lock the template in SWDD.
Then you also (may) need to execute transaction SWU_OBUF to synchronize the buffer.

Import steps not specific to Transport Request

Hi all,
I need to move 5 Released Transport Request as "Local Change Requests" to another SAP installation.
I followed two guides to do this:

However I have problems creating the Change Request that contains all my requests: if I generate it as Local Change Request it is not available on cofiles and data folders.
So I created a new Virtual System called M02 and I created a standard consolidation transport link between my original system M01 and the virtual system M02.
Then I created a new TRANSPORT OF COPIES Transport Request and I selected as target system M02. All objects are correctly added to the new request and the validation is correctly performed.
However when I release the request on the SOURCE server I get the following error:

I get this message even if I generate the new Change Request from a single Change Request (the first one that we released).
The cofiles and data files are correctly generated, however the IMPORT on the TARGET server returns an error (invalid data package)
My question is: is the "Import steps not specific to transport request" message correct, or should I modify something? Why am I getting this message?

Hi Chinna,
Its a warning message you can ignore that... if you want to see what exactly the reason for warning in SE09 --> select the released request --> click the Transport Log Ikon --> select the warning message and click the spects Ikon --> go on expanding you can find the warnings of Objects in Yellow...

Objects did not added to the transport request

Hi team
Pls advise, I've been trying to create a transport for some workschedules in client DDD.
But although I've created a transport and saved it, when I look at the transport or task, there's no objects saved in it. For the other clients BBB, CCC, when I do the same process, I would see the table T552a in the transport task and the list of entries generated. But in client DDD, it is always blank.
Can you please tell me how to investigate this issue.

You can manually add the object into that transport request number. Login into client DDD and go to SE01 -- Select the request-- go to Request/Task- object list - include objects- freely select object.
The reason could be behind this that transport request has been not allowed for the client DDD, if i understand correctly the problem

Include table entries into Transport Request manually @ SM31

Hi All,
I have an issues reg table maintenance at SM31.
We have a Z Table and I can add entries at SM31 to that table. But:
System has not asked Transport request while saving the data (after additions to the table)
Option to include in Transport Request manually is not available @ menu -> Edit -> Transport -> Include in request. Include in Request is not highlighted to select here.
Pls help me the process to add my table entries into a Transport Request.

Hi,
seems like your table is defined as Application table (master and transaction data).
Check SE11 to be sure
Database table: enter name > Display > Delivery & Maintenance
Delivery Class > is this A?
If so then there is no transport and it can be maintained in all systems.
You could try if required to create manual transport via SE01.
Programm ID: R3TR
Object: TDAT
Objectname: your table name

Transport Request is generated in following scenarios:
1. Customizing Request - When doing or changing some customization.
2. WorkBench Request - When configuration is cross-client. Eg Generating new Table, making changes in access sequence, Abap development, etc.
Transport request is not generated for Master Data. For eg: Customer Master, Material Master, price master, etc.
Benefit of Transport Request:
SAP Landscape normally has 3- Tier system:
Development Server - Where customization takes place. Transport request is generated at this level & then first transported to Quality server for testing whether it meets the requirement or not. Once the requirement is met in Quality server then Request is transported from Development Server to Production Server (Actual / Live System)
Quality Server - Mainly useful for testing.
Production Server Actual / Live server, where the real transactions are created & posted.
Procedure to Release & Transport Request:
1. In development server, go to T.Code: SE10 & select the check box Modifiable & enter
2. In the next screen, you will see list of transport request created.
Note: Transport request consist of main request along with sub request. These sub request hold the object to be transported.
3. Expand the main request & you will be able to view the sub requests attached to main request.
4. First release the sub requests.
Note: To release the request, select the request ni & click on release request individually (Do not select release all request)
5. Next release main request.
6. Once the request is released sucessfully, imform the basis person to import the request to QA server.
or
If the authority is with you, through T.Code: STMS, select development server --> select request no & release to QA server. Here when it pops up client no, user id & password, maintain it of QA server & release the request to QA server.

I want to retrieve the sapscript layout changes for a particular transport request in development server after that many transport request created and moved to quality ?
I checked in SE03 transaction the transport request was there. But I want to retrieve the existing transport request which is not moved to Quality?
Is it possible to retrieve the existing transport request in development which is not moved to quality ?
Like how we retrieving the programs using versions in development server, In the same way I want to retrieve the sapscript layout in development server ?

Hi,
There is no version management for SapScript or Smartforms .
When you write "transport request in development which is not moved to quality" - was the transport ever released and exported from the development system? If yes, and if the "Transport files" are still available in "Transport directory" (or if the transport files were backed up and could be retrieved), the transport could be imported again. If the TR was not exported, you are out of luck, I believe...
I would not recommend you do it on your own even if you happen to have enough authorizations (consult with Basis and/or Transport Admin, if you have one in your organization). I would not recommend that it's imported on a development system or QA system, even if the transport contains no other objects - only the SapScript form in question. Import it on a "sand-box" that gets overwritten by system copy from time to time... Once the transport is imported, you should have the old version of SapScript in that system and could analyse the changes and perform manual merge.

Unable to delete Transport Request which contain locked objects

Hi all,
I need to delete some unusable transport requests but as they contain locked objects, it's not possible to delete them. Release operation is just allowed. After releasing these transport requests, I can not find them any more in queue. Please help to find these transport requests which are released and also provide a solution to delete instead of releasing them.

1. What do you mean by transport request , Shipment Request, Shipment Order or Tour.
A. I mean requests which can be transported between SAP Systems using TMS (Transport Management System).
2. What are the objects which has been locked and due to that you are facing this problem.
A. There are diffrent object types. For examle some customizing have booen done or SAP Note correction has been implemented, ... Therefore some objects have been locked due to these operations
3. Let's say if it's an freight Unit, then Pls confirm that System dump / error is not the cause for this.
A. I have no idea about "Freight Unit".

Kiran,
From RSA5 --> Choose datasource and select "Activate Datasource" --> system prompts for transport request. Do not save as local object. assign package and assign to transport request.
From RSA6 --> Select datasouce --> choose transport(truck icon) --> follow same as above
From LBWE --> if you do any changes or customization system prompt for transport request.

How to release a transport request with warnings using a function module?

Hi,
I want to release a transport request(which has some warnings) using some function module .
The warnign that i get when i try to release the Transport Request manually is "not all objects could be locked..."
Which function module can I use so i can release such a transport request?
I am currently using TR_RELEASE_REQUEST but I am unable to release the TR, it throws an exception.
Also i wouls assume that the function module mentioned would take care of releasing all the unreleased task
under the request.

As an alternative (to cope with the warnings) you may use TRINT_RELEASE_REQUEST.
However, since this fm offers only a single task/request as IMPORTING parameter you need to take care about unreleased tasks yourself. Looking at SE09/SE10 even there you do not have the option the release a request including all its tasks.

Query Transport Request

HI,
I have created transport request for Bex Query. First time I created transport request , I collected all query and query elements apart from this two more additional components added to transport request ( No transport request open on that
query, Only display mode. I have created TP request for change mode)
"BW: LOIO Class Metadata and BW: PHIO Class Metadata ."
Next time i have tried with all grouping options in transport request, I have not seen
"BW: LOIO Class Metadata and BW: PHIO Class Metadata .".
anybody has idea why these "BW: LOIO Class Metadata and BW: PHIO Class Metadata ." components added transport request.
Please let me know if you have nay idea on this one.

- Check in SE09/se10 for creating requests.
For collecting objects you have go Transport connection without missing the objects.
SE03 for checking the Request objects.
Go to transport connection in RSA1 Select u r Data target or report what ever it may be in development sys & select only necessary objectsu2026 click on transport optionu2026u2026it will ask the transport request create new req. go to SE-9 release the objectu2026go to STMS import u2026RELEASE The objects in quality sysu2026same procedure to production sys.
