U530 Runs a Significant Amount Slower While Charging

I have noticed while playing games, there is a very significant drop in performance (fps wise) when the charger is plugged in. It does this in every game, and is also somewhat noticable while doing other actions as well. The performance is great as soon as i unplug the charger, but when i plug it back in, it goes down again. I have tried setting all the power options to max performance, and made sure all drivers are up to date, but nothing has changed. When running on battery, games run pretty smooth,, but almost all of them are unplayable when i plug it in. Any fixes?

Oh,forgot something...tried with windows 7,same...now Im on windows 8.1 64bit...tried drivers from CD which came with laptop,tried newest drivers from off website...Im desperate....

Slow performance while charging

I've recently installed a Pass & Seymour model TM8-USBWCC6 wall charger in my home. It provides two USB ports with 5VDC 2.1 amp charging ability. When connecting an iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, performance on the phones greatly decreases. I have only tested with these two devices. I tend to use my iPhone while charging but I can't even do that anymore because of how slow it runs. Any thoughts as to what can be causing this? I am using an Apple lightning cable. The charging itself appears to be running fine with no errors.

Apple will only give you a 10% recycling discount if you turn in an old iPod when you purchase a new one. Better off selling it yourself.

a few days ago my macbook pro that i recently purchesed for christmas started running really slow while web browsing. I looked at all the memory and all that and it was fine. any advice?

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them. In that case, there's no need to repeat the answers.
Have you restarted your router and your broadband device (if they're separate) since you first noticed the problem? If not, do that now and see whether there's any change.
If your browser is Safari, then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Any change?
Quit and relaunch the browser. Any change?
Log out and log back in. Any change?
Enable Private Browsing in the Safari menu. Any change?
Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same? What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
If other browsers and Internet applications are also affected, follow these instructions and test. Any change?
If only Safari is affected, launch the Activity Monitor application and enter "web" (without the quotes) in the search box. Having to restart FF and hoping your tabs come back for a temp. speedboost is NOT acceptable.
I have to restart at least 3-5x a day - anyone else think this is stupid?
I have 6 gigs ram, XP 32 only uses about 3.5 of it, 2.33ghz core duo, plenty of drive space.

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

Fanx running at max while charging

I have a mbp 15.4" 2.4ghz.
My fans reached 6000rpm yesterday while charging. This is the second time its done it. I think i onlhy had 5% battery before i charged.
is this normal?

My fans will rev quite high also when I start recharging, but they settle down after a few minutes. If yours keep running high through the whole charging cycle, there may be a problem.
Try resetting your SMC.

ES1-512 slow when charging, fine when on battery

I have an ES1-512, no problems for the first few weeks, then suddenly it became really slow while plugged in, but still runs fine when it's on battery power.Have scanned for viruses, malware, etc, nothing wrong there.Luckily the battery life is good, but would be nice to be able to use it properly when plugged in too!Any ideas?

Check power plan active during charging maybe it jumps to Power Saver or such ? Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options

Hm...are you downloading anything? <- sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but my computer slows down a lot when I'm downloading something (even though it would not explain the start-up situation).
It is natural that a computer slows down after a certain amount of usage time but if it's a significant amount of time that it has slowed down, I really do suggest having the Genius Bar take a look.

Satellite L310-D4010: OS has become dead slow while using the CD/DVD drive

I has bought Toshiba Satellite L310-D4010 at chennai, India.
It has 2GB RAM and 1.83 GHz Intel Core2 Duo Processor.
But my system has become *dead slow* while i am using the optical drive i.e., when i am writing a disk and copying the content form the disk.
I was not able to open any application while i am using the DVD drive.
Please guide me to resolve this problem.

For me it is also logic that notebook performance goes down when I copy a lot of data. To be honest when I use some burning application to save data on CD or DVD I leave it running till the end and avoid usage of other applications while burning procedure is active. All I do at the same time is surfing in Internet.
I cannot imagine you are not able to start some applications. Maybe notebook needs some more time to start application but it must work.
At the end I must say that 2 GB RAM for Vista notebook is for me really the minimum and if possible I recommend you to upgrade RAM if possible. This notebook model is not known to me and max RAM for this model is not known to me but I presume the 4 GB should not be the problem.

First, for changing my question to the right forum. I am new on this and wasn't aware I was in the wrong forum.
Secondly, even though my initial question is not answered as in: I just want to remove Classic, what you say is right. I think now, after writing my long question and seeing your answers, that I should start from scratch.
To answer your question, I bought the new drive to be able to store and back up into DVDs and CDs all the photographs and movies that are still in the computer. I also need to make CDs of my portfolio since I am trying to find a new job and buying a new Mac at this point is out of the question. To upgrade the computer: I just do not have use for OS 9 anymore; I cannot upgrade to the latest Java, Safari or have issues with Flash or other programs; the programs that I have and need will still run perfectly fine or better in Leopard. And even if I could buy another computer I would still like to hang onto this computer for a while.

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
Boot into Recovery mode, launch Disk Utility, and run Repair Disk.
Otherwise, take the steps below when you notice the problem.
Step 1
Launch the Activity Monitor application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Activity Monitor in the icon grid.
Select the CPU tab of the Activity Monitor window.

Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.

Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long.

Sync with iCloud while charging crashes WiFi

When i try to sync to iCloud while charging my iPhone 5 my WiFi goes down, not the phone but the router. After restarting the router it works again. Syncing manually while running phone on battery and wifi everyting works fine. Anyone else got this problem? Discoverd this because phone hadn't made any nightly backups for two weeks. Thats when i installed iOS 8.

Gee, why didn't I think of that? For those that may be keeping track this is a dlink Dir-655 (ON LATEST FIRMWARE).
I had no problems with my iPhone 5. I have no problems with my iPhone 6 EXCEPT when I let the phone attempt a full iCloud backup. I don't know what encryption or protocol this fires up but whatever it is it crashes the router. I am hoping others with router crashing can benefit. The seemingly random crashing some have may be when the phone attempts a backup.
Because i use I jumped phones and iOS versions at the same time I don't know for sure which is to blame but I suspect it is the iOS creating malformed packets. My router wont packet capture and I don't have $2000 for a wifi N capture adapter. So there is not much more troubleshooting I can do.
MY Apple fanboy co-workers have airports and don't have iphone connectivity issues. so maybe routers do need to catch up with some wonky thing Apple is doing. I am not against buying a new router if I knew it would fix the issue but I don't have spare cash to spend right now just to make the attempt. If a new router doesn't help I will have spent money for nothing on a non-returnable item.

No harm is done. There is enough power from the adapter to run the laptop and charge the battery. There is hardware and software in place which prevents any problems. The laptop will not take power from the battery while the AC adapter is plugged in.

G505s slow while plugged in

I have a brand new G505s laptop. Right out of the box, the wireless internet was painfully slow while the computer is plugged in to AC power. As far as I can tell, the system as a whole doesn't slow down, but I haven't tried running any resource-heavy programs yet. I know that the most common solution to this problem is to update BIOS, but the computer already has BIOS version 2.05.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

Can you check under
Control Panel / Power Options
Change plan settings on your selected Plan
Click on Change Advanced Power settings
Open Wireless Adapter settings and make sure Battery and plugged in are on Maximum Performance
Click on Apply and observe if it will change the performance
