UAG 2010 RDS invalid method

Hi All,
would someone be so kind and post the TerminalServicesGateway rule from a working UAG install?
I'm getting invalid method errors (well, actually they're warnings) on both RPC_OUT_DATA and RPC_IN_DATA , even though the rule is there with the methods defined. My only guess is the rule is not matching because of a wrong Parameter
definition (see screenshot below: there's no value or anything defined).
Running UAG 2010 SP4
Error: Request <..> for application Remote Desktop Services of type TerminalServicesGateway failed because the  method used RPC_OUT_DATA is not valid for requested URL /rpc/rpcproxy.dll?localhost:3388.
Thx in advance!

  • Publish Sharepoint 2013 with UAG 2010 SP3

    Hi All,
    I'm hoping some of you may be trying to accomplish the same task I am and are seeing similar problems.
    We have a single SharePoint 2013 Server running in our forest behind a UAG server that is setup to publish other applications (Exchange and RDS Connections which all works fine).  When publishing the SharePoint site following the instructions found
    here (http://www.wictorwilen.se/sharepoint-2013-and-unified-access-gateway-uag-2010-service-pack-3) we are presented with the logon to UAG and then
    redirected to the SharePoint site where I'm informed that I don't have access to the site.  One change that we made to the instructions above was to terminate SSL on the UAG server and are using HTTP to the sharepoint server from UAG.
    The SharePoint site shares the same DNS name as the internal network and the users can access the site internally with no issue.
    My gut feeling on this issue is that some where UAG is not passing the credentials to the SharePoint server correctly but I'm not able to locate a log to determine failed login attempts.  If someone could point me to where that may be that could be
    pretty helpful.
    Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jeremy,

    Hi Jeremy,
    Did you ever get this sorted? We've just migrated from Sharepoint 2010 to 2013 and everything looks good - except in the UAG (2010 SP3) that gives a "this site hasnt been shared with you". We also have SSL termination in the UAG, and the internal name is
    different from the external name, but it worked in Sharepoint 2010 without this issue. And yes we recreated the application with the 2013 template.

  • Invalid method "Save As" from Excel application object

    I have Windows 2000 and Excel 2002 installed on my machine.
    I down loaded "renamed Excel 2000 workbook.vi" from NI website. Relinked ref num to Excel application object but get the error of invalid method (Save As). Tried to relink invoke node to Save As by selecting method from drop down menu. However this method is not on the list. Tried other excel objects but can not find "Save As" method. Has this been removed/moved?

    I was able to correct the error by relinking the Workbooks->Open to Open. This changes the subsequent Invoke Node from IAppEvents to _Workbook. There you will find the Save As method.

  • UAG 2010 SP4 and Outlook 2011 for MAC

    Hi
    We have UAG 2010 SP4 with trunk where autodiscover and EWS services are published without pre-authentication (Authorize all users). Exchange 2013 accepts basic auth on services.
    RCA tests for Outlook Anywhere are passing and we can configure any windows/Outlook2007+ from internet through UAG using autodiscover.
    However with Outlook2011 for MAC does not go through the mail account creation process when connecting to UAG.
    According to Outlook logs, it will connect to autodiscover service and receive correct service urls for EWS, OAB etc.
    After autodiscover, it tries to connect to EWS which fails and logs following UAG message
    "<DIV style=""" id=""Error_Msg"">You are not authorized to access the application.</div>"
    However with browser and same credentials I can connect to all service urls and they popup authentication prompt and lets user in. Outlook 2011 MAC works when connecting directly to Exchange so this is 99% sure an UAG issue.
    Any suggestion where to look at?

    I guess you already went through this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee921443.aspx
    On Exchange, there is a command related to Outlook for Mac
    Set-CASMailbox -Identity <alias> -EWSAllowEntourage:$True –EWSAllowMacOutlook:$true –EWSAllowList:"*+Mail*"
    According to the blog entry below, if you publish with UAG/TMG it has to be enabled on the Organization level :
    http://blog.hametbenoit.info/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=197
    Please don't do it in production, it is just a suggestion :)

  • UAG 2010 SP3 - OWA Exchange 2010 - Large attachments fail to open

    We have a UAG 2010 SP3 server in front of Exchange 2010 CAS. On the UAG side we have disabled the component installation and activation for UAG within the session configuration. When users access OWA and open attachments it works fine up until a certain
    size of an attachment. Somewhere around 10MB we are unable to download externally from OWA. At that point when clicking on the attachment a "The page cannot be displayed" is received.
    Attachments of sizes larger than 10MB are able to be opened internally accessing the CAS directly. Under the Download/Upload configuration of the OWA application in UAG Identify by URL is checked for both (Uploads has Identify by size but Download
    is unchecked).
    Is there a limitation on UAG to OWA download size? Is there any other configuration that should be checked to alleviate this issue?

  • Invalid method declaration

    Hi there,
    I have a problem to compile below sentences.
    import java.awt.* ;
    import javax.swing.* ;
    import java.awt.event.* ;
    public class p662 extends JFrame
    public ShowColors()
    ** invalid method declariration for ShowColors ****
    super ("Using colors") ;
    Please help me.
    Best regards

    What the diddley?
    Your class name is p662 (what the heck is that?).
    The declaration public ShowColors looks like a constructor. You call super in it with a String argument, which looks like you want to invoke a JFrame ctor.
    You can't invoke a super class constructor in any method except a class constructor. The class constructors must have the same name as the class. The class must go in a file whose name is the same as the public class inside.
    You should follow the Sun coding standards for naming:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/codeconv/html/CodeConvTOC.doc.html
    What are you doing here? This is unintelligible. - MOD

  • How to configure array for UAG 2010 with topology Between a frontend firewall and a backend firewall

    Hi,
    We want to publish exchange 2013 through UAG 2010. What is the best topology for UAG 2010?
    Can we configure UAG 2010 arrawy with topology "Between a frontend firewall and a backend firewall" ?
    Can we configure UAG 2010 array in workgroup?
    What is the drawback to use ARR to publish exchange 2013?
    Thanks

    jitender

    Hi Jitender - I have doen quite a few UAG deployments like this and is fully supported sitting in a DMZ between Firewalls. However, for an array the UAG Servers muts be domain joined. In these deployments the question is whether to place a Domain In the
    DMZ (locked down of course) or allow traffic through to a domain controller via the backend firewall.

  • Publish Exchange 2013 using UAG 2010 Sp4

    Hi,
    We need to publish Exchange 2013 through UAG 2010. But we are not getting any dedicated link for UAG 2010 to publish Exchange 2013. we have UAG 2010 with SP4.
    Is there any Step by step UAG 2010 configuration link to publish Exchange 2013?
    Thanks

    Hi Jitender,
    Based on my knowledge, publishing Exchange 2013 with UAG 2010 is similar with publishing Exchange 2010.
    I find a related Blog and Guid for your reference:

  • UAG 2010 - SharePoint Redirect using Direct URLs

    In the Initial Internal Application section on our single UAG 2010 trunk our SharePoint2007 application is listed as the Portal home page and the Display home page within portal frame is checked.  Users log into the UAG and the next page is our SharePoint2007
    site that is inside of a frame, the standard UAG portal toolbar is above.  We have a tab within the SharePoint 2007 site that opens up a SharePoint 2010 site in the same frame which works great.  If user right clicks in IE and chooses to
    open in a new tab/window the SharePoint 2010 site comes up but there is no portal toolbar. This is the same thing that happens if an application is set to open in a new window, the new window does not have the portal toolbar.  The goal is to
    always have the Portal Toolbar visible regardless however not really sure how to make that happen.  Is this actually possible, if so how?

  • UAG 2010 and AD version

    We are running UAG 2010 SP1 to support Exchange Active Sync; Outlook WbApp; Outlook Anywhere against Exchange 2010 SP3. The authentication servers are running AD 2003. We need to upgrade to a new version of AD and checking compatibility of our applications.
    Does UAG 2010 SP1 support AD 2012R2? AD 20112...?
    Thanks

    I would highly recommend you to move to UAG latest SP4 which supports windows 8/8.1.
    The only issue i faced was my Windows 7 clients unable to RDP to 2012 and 2012 R2 Domain Controllers. Please check below blog article for the problem and the fix.

  • 500 Invalid method signature

    Hi,
    Can somebody help me out?
    Getting the following error in the code:
    500 Invalid method signature: t;)Ljava/lang/Object;
    Invalid method signature: t;)Ljava/lang/Object;
    Don't have any clue to fix this issue. Please help me.
    Coldfusion version : 6
    database : sql server.
    Thanks,
    Satheesh.

    See how the above method is self explaining. Yes, returning an array is more self explanatory. Are you defensively copying the array?
    For classes that are to be re-used often by other developers would it be better to use arrays because they are more obvious? It depends. Yes its more obvious but if folks are going to stick the array contents into a Collection then returning a Collection is nice, too.
    How do other people deal with this or do you just not worry about it and leave it up to the comments to explain?Thats what javadoc is for. i.e. @return a List of EmailTo objects
    In jdk1.5 templates will help with this a bit.
    One of the most painful bugs you will encounter is when you don't make defensive copies of objects and another class mutates an internal data structure. Of course, defensive copies waste object references and in some cases, can really cause a slow down. You can always provide access via ye old getNumberOfFollowUpEmails/getFollowUpEmail(int i)

  • Jcombobox: additem does not work! "invalid method decl."

    hi all.
    i have a gui with a jComboBox. but when i try to add an item with addItem() the compiler tells me
    invalid method declaration; return type required
    whats the problem here?? :(
    JComboBox jComboBox1 = new JComboBox();
    jComboBox1.addItem("xyz");
    thanks for help.

    I'd bet the problem is not in these 2 lines of code. Maybe you have a method that has no return type specified(as the compiler already said). Check if you have spelled the names of the constructors of your class properly and the orher methods too. An example could be
    private fillCombo(){
    must be
    private void fillCombo()...Mike

  • UAG 2010 SP1 upgrade to SP4 question

    We are currrently running UAG 2010 SP1 and would like to upgrade to SP4. Do we need to apply all the earlier service packs first before being able to install SP4? Or can we go straight to SP4?

    Hiya,
    you should have a look at system requirements on the different service pack pages:
    Service Pack 2
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2710791/en-us
    Service Pack 3
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36788
    Service Pack 4
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=41181
    You need to have at least SP2 on the TMG in order to upgrade to SP4 for UAG.

    No, it's because you can't have a constructor called Reminder if you don't have a class named Reminder.

  • Windows 8.1 and UAG 2010

    hi
    wondering if someone out there can give some advice/help.
    We are currently running a stand alone UAG 2010 SP4, our XP ( yes we still have some) and Win7 clients connect fine however I still can't get Windows 8.1 clients to authenticate.
    When you launch the Portal home page ( portal.domain.com ), it prompts to install the client ( the first time ) and then once that has completed displays " your device does not meet the access policy requirements for this site".  Subsequent
    connections start to check and then go direct the error message.
    If I check the web monitor for the failed session, it is reporting that OS and Browser are Not Detected.  I have made the changes that others recommended for NT6.3 but that hasn't made any difference.
    thanks in advance

    Please make sure that all 64 bit operating systems or specifically windows 8.1 is picked in the allowed list of Operating systems from the End point settings
    You can only allow specific Windows versions as Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8 or any 64 bit Windows version
    to access your portal while denying others.
    From the UAG console, click on the HTTPS connection for your Portal link then:
    1. Trunk Configuration settings - click configure
    2. Go to Endpoint Access Settings
    3. Session access policy - Endpoint policy
    4. You can edit the default or create a new one with your corporate settings (recommended way)
    5. Edit Endpoint policies
    6. Pick the default policy or the one you created - edit policy
    7. Manage Windows Policies
    8. Pick the Windows Policy - Edit Policy
    9. In the operating systems, enable the ones you would like to connect to the Portal.
    10. Save and activate your configuration and this should do the trick.
    Hopefully this will help you.
