UC3010 (usb camera) with LabView2010

Previously I use LV8.2 with VDM8.2 and VAS2010, I can run and capture picture from this UC3010 (usb camera)
but today I upgrade to windows 7 and use LV2010 (VDM2010 and VAS2011) but Labview cannot detect camera.
it always have error code in the step to open camera.
Anyone ever try this camera before and would appreciated if someone provide solution.

  • How can I use a USB camera with cRIO 9022. Please see my strange problem.

    Hi,
I would like to use a USB camera with NI cRIO 9022. I used the same USB camera with NI USB 6216 DAQ device and developed a VI(within a PROJECT and outside it). So, It is working fine with NI USB 6216 device when I use the Vision Assistant Express VI and gets detected in its Initialization Window.  Please see JPEG File 3 where I get NO ERROR.
I am facing a problem when I want to use it with NI cRIO 9022. What exactly I am doing in this case is:
    1) Create a NEW PROJECT
    2) Add Targets and Devices(NI cRIO 9022)
    3) Use the Scan Interface mode
    4) Create a NEW VI under the cRIO 9022 device
    5) Use a Timed Loop(Synchronized with Scan Engine) for continuous Data Acquisition and Sending from the Analog I/O modules.
    6) Use the Vision Assistant available through the NI Vision Acquisition 2010 Module(I get STUCK HERE! The Express VI opens the Initialization Window, but I don't see the USB camera like in JPEG File 3)
I am facing difficulties with this HOST COMPUTER, cRIO implementation differences. On my host computer I have the software packages as shown in JPEG File 1, and on my cRIO 9022 as shown in JPEG File 2.
Can someone guide me how to overcome this and get the USB camera detected when I am using NI cRIO 9022?
NOTE: If this is a problem with software mismatches on HOST and NI cRIO 9022 device, please see JPEG Files 1 and 2 for available software and Host and cRIO 9022.
    Thanks.

When you select My Computer, you are running the program on the PC.  In this case, the camera works because it is connected to the PC.  The scan engine doesn't work because it needs to run on the cRIO, not the PC.
When you create the program on the cRIO, you can use the scan engine because the program is on the cRIO.  You can't use the camera because it is back on the PC, and can't be found on the cRIO.
The project is a wonderful tool, but it may be making the programming seem too simple.  It may not be clear to you that by moving a program to a different location (PC or cRIO), it is running in an entirely different environment on a totally different machine, even though it is just a little further down in the project.  You can't easily access the hardware on one machine while running the program on the other.
So the summary is:  The camera is attached to the PC.  The scan engine runs on the cRIO.  Never the twain shall meet.

  • Can I use a USB camera with the 3rd party USB camera software and share screens?

I want to do more than just use a USB camera w/iChat (or ichatusb).  I also need to be able to initiate screen sharing between two computers.  Specifically, I will use iChat with an insight built in camera on my end, and the other person will be using an iMac G5 PPC using a USB camera and the 3rd party USB software for USB ichat support.
My question then is am I able to request screen sharing (taking over their screen) from my ichat/fw combo to their ichatusb/usb combo?
    thanks
    dc

    Hi,
The Cameras don't come into this at all.  (But iChat and OS versions do)
Each end needs iChat 4 or higher.
Go to the Video menu and Enable Screen Sharing (Selecting toggles a tick On and Off (Tick Present is ON) )
Highlight Buddy in list and use the Screen Sharing icon at the bottom of the list (interlinked rectangles).
The G5 could be on Leopard (iChat 4) and be using a  USB 1.1 camera that would need iUSBCam (formerly iChatUSBCam) as well as the Camera manufacturers Software.
iChat 3 (In Tiger OS 10.4.x) on the G5 with a USB 1.1 camera, Software and iUSBCam may well offer a Screen Sharing option (Or rather Desktop as Video Feed) in the iChat > Video Menu  and that will not work
However if the G5 has USB 2.0 ports (not the Keyboard additional ports) then if it is up to OS 10.4.9 it can use a UVC Camera for Video Chats  (UVC = USB Video Class No need for Additional Drivers) but Screen Sharing will still be an issue due to the iChat version.
IF the G5 is still on OS 10.4.x then you will have to use a third Party VNC app at both ends (And run a iChat Audio Chat along side)

  • How can I USB camera with Excite AX-15?

I want to use the USB micro-scope camera( http://www.dino-lite.com/products_list_minute.php?product_number_abridge=AM7013MT ) with my Excite AX-15. Can I use a UVC standard camera with my pad?

What phone do you have, and what ROM (the factory default or a homebrew one)? Is your phone rooted? And what setup are you using for network management on your computer?
Using the stock HTC ROMs (1.5 as well as 2.1), my HTC Hero shows up as a USB modem in NetworkManager when USB teethering is enabled on the phone (the same should be the case with other Android phones from HTC with the Sense UI). I'm not sure how it works with other setups, such as WICD, but with NetworkManager it 'just works'.
As far as I know, the same should be the case when the native USB teethering in Android 2.2 is activated. However, not all 2.2 ROMs support the feature, even though the menu option is present -- e.g. the FroydVillain ROM I'm currently using (the same goes for some 2.1 ROMS, such as VanillaEclair pre version 5.0, where the menu option was present but in effect did nothing).  If that is the case, you can try the Android Wired Teether app -- or, if that does not work, Azilink to share your phone's internet connection through VPN.
The azilink soultion is more or less bound to work no matter what, but it takes some effort to set up (i.e. getting ADB running and configuring OpenVPN). There's a quite informative thread on it in the Ubuntu Forums

  • Can't see external USB camera in iMovie or Quicktime. Macbook, running Yosemite

I am using a Logitech C930e external USB camera with my Macbook running Yosemite 10.10.1. Trying to capture video - neither quicktime or iMovie recognize the external USB camera. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for the reply.
I know this sounds ridiculous as it was only two days ago but I can't actually remember. I don't think I actually got round to reformatting as I don't remember concluding which format was going to be best for me.
For information - there is no data on this drive that I want to keep. It is straight from the supplier.
If there was a way to reset it that would ideal although if I did format to mac extended journaled what should I do next?

  • USB microphone with Mac mini - can it work?

I recently bought a cheap USB camera with built-in mic, and a USB headphone/microphone interface. Neither of these microphones work with my shiny new Mac mini (10.7.2). The headphone USB interface works fine, and it even includes a volume and mute - very cool indeed (Arvel HAMU02BK if you want to look it up). In the Sound Preference pane, it shows up as an input, but the meter doesn't show any response. I plug the same mic and adaptor into a G4 PowerBook (10.5.8) and it works. The camera (Buffalo BSW13K08HBK) also shows up as a mic in the Sound Preference pane, but the meter fails to respond (shows about a 60% continuous input signal, but using it with Skype test, doesn't record anything.

Camera itself seems to work nicely, though, and there seems to be enough power off the hub to make things work. Is this a bug? If I want to plug a mic into the Mac itself, can I use any of the "pink" 3-pole 3.5mm computer mics?

  • A five USB cameras in 1-e PC?

This isn't a big problem with different camera models. But my favorite is Creative WEB Cam Live! Ultra. I have problem to see 2-o or more cameras together. I have too much video-software...
A help, please!Message Edited by Boo on 05-18-2006 03:38 AM

The free NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras driver is meant to support simple USB webcams that use DirectShow.  For machine vision or scientific imaging applications, most USB cameras don't have the performance or the features needed, like triggering.  The primary "customer" for the free driver has been universities that use webcams in labs.
With that said, there are a few industrial USB cameras out there that can be used for machine vision.  The problem is tha there is no industrial USB camera standard that covers them all (like there is with FireWire), so companies like National Instruments would have to provide and support different drivers and software tools for every indutrial USB camera.
A better solution is IEEE 1394 (or FireWire).  They offer the same performance as USB 2.0 cameras and are around the same price.  On top of that, almost every large industrial camera manufacture has a line of industrial FireWire cameras (including Sony, Basler, FLIR, and Cohu), and they all conform to the same DCAM (or IIDC) standard.  WIth this standard, our one driver, NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras, works with all of them.
Vision Builder AI is designed to solve machine vision applications without programming, while USB cameras usually don't provide the triggering or advanced modes necessary for machine vision.  Because machine vision and USB cameras don't usually go together, we didn't provide support for USB cameras within Vision Builder AI.  My question to you, another_novice, is why would you like to use a USB camera with Vision Builder AI?  Are there particular features in a certain USB camera that you can't find in other cameras?  I would really like to know so we can get a better picture of how our customers are using our products.
    Thank you.
    KyleV.

  • Isight and USB Camera

    Hi,
I have an Imac with built in camera, I'm trying to connect a second camera Creative USB, and seems it is no recognized. Anyone has an idea how I can configure the new camera ?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, goolu
The answer to your question depends on which Creative USB webcam and application you are trying to use.
If your particular model supports the current UVC standard, it should work without additional software.
If your Creative USB webcam is one of the non-UVC models in this list of Known Working Configurations, you will need to add iUSBCam software and, if indicated, the macam driver to use the cam with iChat. If you want to use it for other than iChat, the specified driver alone may do.
iMovie requires a Firewire DV signal from external cameras, so you cannot use your Creative USB cam with iMovie.
If you need more help that the above, see the Creative Customer Support web page or their "Contact Us" link for help on how to use their camera with your system directly from the camera's supplier.
