UC520W-8U-4FXO-K9 with 7.0.3

I have an UC520W-8U-4FXO-K9 with the CME 7.0.3 version. The Unity is 3.2.1. I want upgrade the unity to 7.0.3 with Spanish language, but Im having problems with the language payload file. It looks like the uc520w doesnt support unity 7.0.3. This the error message:
"Validating payloads match registered checksums...
- cue-vm-es_CO-langpack.ise.7.0.3.prt1 .................................error
ERROR: Payload checksum [cfc139ef4ce38632063c5205a6d13947] does not match registered payload checksum [bd4694cdc62592978eefe2b158e07d75] for cue-vm-es_CO-langpack.ise.7.0.3.prt1"

I'm sure my friend Paolo is correct (+5 points buddy)

  • How to change CUE ip address?

    Hi,
We moved to a new location and using comcast as ISP. I was setting up the phone system today and met a few problems.
    1. First of all, all the phones are connected and working(total of 4), but I can only see 3 of them showing up in the CCA. Whats happening here?
    2. I wanted to change the user name which appears on the phone using the CCA, CCA told me that the settings were successfully sent to UC520, I restarted the phone and uc520, but the names on the phones remain unchanged?
    3. I forgot the password of the voicemail for one of the phone, and wanted to changed in the CUE. so I went to 10.1.10.1,but some comcast login page showed up instead of CUE. so I want to know how to change the IP address of CUE? I don`t know the CLI commands so please teach me if it can only be done with CLI. I have only used CCA in the past. Could this be the reason why for problem 1 and 2? I`m feeling wierd because all the phones can be used to call in/out.
my data vlan is 192.168.0.0 and voice vlan is 192.168.2.0 let me know if you need any other info.
need help urgently as I want to resolve this problem asap.
    Thanks in advance.

how to change local ip address?Via an operating system command.
It's not the sort of thing an application should be doing at all. IP addresses these days are assigned via DHCP. Why would you want to change it from within an application? It would probably disconnect all sockets for all running applications, invalidate the login, all kinds of bad effects.
    What is the actual requirement?

  • UC520 Issues after Restore

    Hi,
I just purchased a used UC520W for home office. I reset to factory defaults by copying the factory config (UC520W-16U-4FXO-K9-factory.cfg) to the startup.
I plug a PC into 0/1/0 (1st of the 8 POE Ports), and the machine is not reciving a IP from DHCP. I tried to set a static IP, etc however no matter what I do I cannot connect to the UC520 from CCA.
This UC520 will be used only for Call Manager. Wish to just plug into network along with the phones. Routing & switching is done with other cisco gear. Also, I wish to use the WLAN in the UC520 for a single ssid for my 7925's to connect to.
Phones & PC's are all on one VLAN now.
    Any help would be appeticated.
    Thank You!

You will not be able to re-activate your iPad if you do not remember the old Apple ID and Password.
This is the new security feature of IOS 7.

  • SPA525-G phone hang issue

    Hi all,
We have the issue on 6 units of SPA525G,experiencing the  issues with the phones locking up during a call. The display is still  lit and call appears to be active (timer) but the call is disconnected  and then do dial tone.  The only way to get the phones back up is to  reboot them.
    setting of the system
    a. Firmware on phones:
    Spa525g-7.4.6.bin
    b. Phones are connected to UC520(UC520W-8U-4FXO-K9) and Cisco SG300-28P POE switches.
    c. System image file is UC500 Software (UC500-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 15.1(2)T2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Kindly advice any workaround on this case, appreciate on it.
    Million thanks

    Hi Alex,

  • New Flash card for UC 520

    Hi -
    I have a UC 520 that is being RMA-ed.
I'd like to move the existing flash card from the old unit to the new unit.
When I do this, and run a show ver, I see:
    License Info:
    License UDI:
    Device#   PID                   SN
    *0        UC520W-8U-4FXO-K9     ***********
How do I restore the Licence Info and UDI?
    THANKS!
    Greg

License info is kept on router nvram, not CF.
In any case your device does not show any additional license to worry about.

Use nothing for encryption with mac filter and see if you can associate. Then move up to static wep. The PS probably doesn't respond quick enough for your controller. You might increase EAP timeouts from the cli.

  • 2800 config with 4FXO VIC, voice-ports?

I'm trying to configure the voice-ports on a 2800 router with a 4 port FXO VIC and when I issue the voice-port command it only shows ports 50-50 so I use

  • UC560 fxo with 4FXO VIC card.

Just wanted to confirm before purchasing how the UC560 handles PSTN Analog lines.  We have 8 analog lines each with a different number.. example 123-456-7899, 123-456-7898, 123-456-7897 etc....
If the office wants to use one of the numbers as the "main" office number how would the UC560 handle the incoming calls?  If someone dials the main number, lets say it will be 123-456-7899, what happens when a 2nd person dials it?  Will the UC move that incoming call to another FXO port just like when doing outbound calls?   If it works the way I mention above, that would allow for 8 people to call in on that 1 line and it will be spread between all 8 fxo ports..  does that sound correct?
Or, does the teleco company have to due the hunting for us?
    Any insight would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    J

Yes, telco has to do it. System cannot control how telco routes incoming calls. So, one has to ask telco to setup an hunt group, and define which addtional lines it will re-hunt calls. Depedning on situation these line can be incoming only, or bidirectional. In this case, special care must be give to the CO and system hunt scheme to minimize glare.
Also, please note if using a bunch of analog lines like you're planning, that will not get the best results to the users, like fast dialing, immedaite CLID display, automatic hunt as described above, DID service, digital voice quality, etc. For best results, one should only use ISDN PRI, or SIP trunk.
Finally, but very important: unless you have significant amount of expereince with telephony and netwrok, it is strongly recommened that for sure and quick results you get an UC certfied Cisco partner, or person of equivalente knowledge and expereince.

  • 1760 with 4 VIC2-4FXO

I want to use four FXO in a Router 1760, but I saw a limitation in the web that said:
    “Restrictions on VIC2-4FXO Usage
When configured for operation in countries that use the TBR21 mode, the use of VIC2-4FXO cards is subject to the following limitations.
    · In the Cisco 1751 router, a maximum of one VIC2-4FXO card can be supported.
    · In the Cisco 1760 router, a maximum of two VIC2-4FXO cards can be supported.
When not operating in the TBR21 mode, these limitations do not apply.
These restrictions do not apply to VIC2-2FXO cards”
I have to install this equipment in Argentina but I don’t know if that apply here.
    Regards,

TBR21 is current limiting mode used in europe:
Use in Europe (TBR21 certification) requires modem firmware 1.0.1 and Cisco IOS Version 11.3(5)T or 12.0(1)T. You must load the modem microcode in addition to the Cisco IOS software.
For European countries, configure modem country microcom europe (this selects TBR21 operation). Country code "europe" requires Cisco IOS Version 11.3(5)T or 12.0(1)T.
You should not be in TBR21 mode in Argentina.
    Hope this helps....

  • Issue with SPA525g registation and FXO port call calls are not disconnecting properly

    Hi,
I  have a UC540 and updated it to the latest IOS version with the latest  firmware to my phones and i am having registration problems with SPA525g  IP Phones. I updated the firmware of the phones as well and create  manual tftp bindings with but still it is not registering. I run a  couple of debugs (debug tftp events and debug ephone registration) I can  see from the logs and in the phone that it is taking the proper VLAN  and being discovered via CDP and being pointed to the TFTP server and  still wont register. I can see that it is also taking its own .cnf file  properly then the output sccp token regected invalid devices error is  shown I have a SPA502G and it is working fine. Also there is a previous  issue that all the voice port are shown as engage or offhook even the  calls are disconnected thus make the main PSTN number busy am based in  UAE and our service provider is etisalat I have check with them about  the proper disconnection values but still it the same. That's why I have  arrived in the conclusion to just update everything including the IOS  and the phones firmware. I have put my config in this post, I am also  trying to take the CCNA Voice exam on the 2nd week of april and I think  that if i don't know how fix this issue for our customer then I would  probably fail that exam. any suggestion and help is greatly appreciated  cisco experts.

Nicolo - First off this stuff gets crazy sometimes.  No worries about the exam.  Sometimes when FXO ports go crazy it is due to battery reversal.  If you go to the FXO port settings try turning battery reversal on and or off... depending on its current setting.  See if that helps.
As for the 525s not registering..  These are inside the network correct?  Are you connecting one directly to the UC500 with a Cat5E or Cat6 patch cable and the same thing happens?  Does the MAC address on the phone match a MAC address under the EPHONE settings?
If you telnet into the UC500 can you execute a "dir" command at the CLI prompt and "CD" (change directory) into the phones folder and then the spa525g folder?  Do files exist in there?
Also I only see an IP address under BVI100?  This is the voice side of things what happened to the IP address under BVI1 (Data VLAN).  Can you give us some information about the internal network?  Cna you PING this phone system from the network?  What IP address does it have?

  • NM-2V with VIC-FXO card

I have a 2621xm router. Can someone tell me which Network Module I need to get to support either 2 VIC-2FXO cards or 1 VIC-4FXO card. And these hardwares will be use in India so I also need to know which VIC-FXO card I need to get for India. Thank you in advance !!!
I understand the VIC-4FXO is universal but not sure of the VIC-2FXO.
Any helps will be greatly appreciated !!
    Danny

Those cards work with NM-1V and NM-2V
    (Currently EoS)
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco IP Communications Voice/Fax Network Modules (NM-HD-xx) and associated VICs. The Cisco IP Communications Voice/Fax Network Modules (NM-HD-1V, NM-HD-2V and NM-HD-2VE) support all the features of the current low density voice/fax network modules (NM-xV) while offering significant advantages such as higher port and channel densities and a new generation of digital signal processors (DSPs) with greater memory and processing power

  • Multi-Site WAN With Centralized Call Manager

The customer has HQ with 15 Branches. Head quarter has about 4300 Phones, and Branches has:
    Branch 1 = 420
    Branch 2 = 256
    Branch 3 = 385
    Brnach 4 = 298
    Branch 5 = 262
    Branch 6 = 171
    Branch 7 = 200
    Branch 8 = 97
    Branch 9 = 198
    Branch 10 = 254
    Branch 11 = 269
    Branch 12 = 224
    Branch 13 = 90
I would still like to propose Centralized Call Manager Cluster with SRST, but little confused since the number of phones per branch is very high.
What would be best deployment model for this type of scenerio along with VoiceMail and CER.

Of course you can use CME/CUE, but the problem is that you need 3845 for SRST with CME/CUE, which cost a lot of money CISCO3845-CCME/K9 is $16495 plus CUE ($3000, not include voice mail subscriber box).
So I will agree what people suggest here.
I have centralized design (Publisher, subscriber) at Main Location, and another subscriber at remote site coz 500 users. I chose put subscriber there rather than use 3845 with SRST.
They share voice box at Main site (Unified).
The rest of remote site use SRST for backup.
Large remote site with T1 PRI with SRST if WAN down.
Small remote site with vic2-2fxo/4fxo with SRST if WAN down.
You can read the SRND here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_implementation_design_guide_book09186a00806e8a79.html
Also, you can design multiple cluster depends the location of main and branches. For example, half office located at West Coast, another half at East Coast. If I were you, I will create two clusters.
Again, it depends a lot of things, for example bandwidth, round-trip delay etc...
    Hopefully, thats can help you.

  • MGCP with FXO question !

    Hi ,
I'v configured MGCP on my 3845 router with VIC2-4FXO modules installed in,The FXO port is connected to my PBX , when users dial the fxo port from PBX with Attended DN i can map each one of my fxo ports to just one Ip phone ,is there any way to use 4 FXO ports to dial all of my ip phones numbers ?for example 20 ip phones ?

  • Cisco Router 2901,voice bundle 4FXO

Need Cisco Part no. for Cisco Router 2901,voice bundle 4FXO
    email me [email protected]

    Flavio,
It looks like you are missing the "ccm-manager mgcp" command in the global configuration mode.
To enable the gateway to communicate with  Cisco CallManager through the Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) and  to supply redundant control agent services, use the ccm-manager mgcp command in global configuration mode.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/voice/command/reference/vrht_c4_ps5207_TSD_Products_Command_Reference_Chapter.html#wp1072910
Do a mgcp / no mgcp once its added. Make sure that the domain name on cucm is the same as it appears in the 'show ccm-manager' output on the gateway. If the issue persists, please post show tech as requested earlier.

  • VIC3-4FXO/DID module not detect in 2801 Router.

    Hi Team,
I have Cisco 2801 router with 2 DSP 16 Channel, 128 MB DRAM and 128 MB flash. I am using IOS c2801-spservicesk9-mz.124-3i but the VIC3-4FXO/DID module is not detected. I tried to upgrade the IOS to 15.0 and 15.1 but the router is not boot up due to insufficient memory.  In that IOS the FXO card is detected.  I checked the data sheet of both router and FXO card it support 12.4T IOS but when I upload the IOS and try to boot same problem I have faced (router not boot due to insufficient memory).  Kindly help me find out the appropriate IOS to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Manas Ranjan
