UC540 issues after factory password reset

Hi All
Our companies UC540 BRI phone system had username and password set by previous system admin, who has now left the business and refused to provide us with the details. It has fallen to me to resolve this and I followed some fairly straight forward instructions to connect through the console port using PuTTY to break into the bootstrap and reset them. All was going well but then we had a power outage half way through the process and now all I get is garbled text in the console port, see example below.

Things tried
When I hit "CTRL" + "Break" in the console terminal it still stops what I assume is the bootup sequence, but the output in the console is unintelligible (mix of chinese and english characters and symbols.
When I type commands they are also unintelligble and don't match the keystrokes.
I have tried adjusting the baud rate as I read it can cause this, so I modified it from 9600 to 115200 and the result was even more uninteligible.
Flow control was also set to "None".
Firstly have we bricked the system, or is simply a matter of uploading new firm ware via a TFTP session and can anyone please guide me through the process of reflashing/resetting the UC540 BRI, or point me where I can find this info?

I understand from your post that you are having an issue with the Wireless Internet Connection being intermittent.  Do you by chance have Bluetooth? Although automated troubleshooting cannot find and correct every problem, it is a useful tool that can often save you time and effort. The second document I found for you is called Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 8). The steps in this document provide tools that have been found helpful in solving many problems that can occur with wireless network and Internet connections. The reason I asked you about Bluetooth is because I found a document called Intermittent Wireless Connection with Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 and Advanced-N 6235 Bluetooth Combo Wireless Modules (Microsoft Windows 8).

    I just called the tech support just now? I just asked the 'why the finger print reader not recognizing the finger print after changing windows password?', and he gave the following answers
    1. You should change fingerprint while changing windows password.  I don't understand the reason behind it, btw is this true?
    2. We can't do anything for this issue.

  • After factory data reset, Google calender won't sync

    Have completed TWO factory data resets on HTC Thunderbolt.  Once w/deleting SD Card and once without.  Still cannot get the calendar to sync past 30 days!  I asked Big Red about it and they told me an "in house" HTC programmer would call me.  That never happened and this was two weeks ago.  .  Can anyone suggest how to get my calendar back?

    I'm sorry you did not receive that call back! I want to see your calendar working properly for you! When you go into Settings>Accounts & Sync>Gmail/Google> are you seeing Calendar sync greyed out or checked? If greyed out I've got some tricks I want you to give a try. What I suggest is going into Settings>Account, then creating a new Gmail account (this is nothing you have to keep, we're only going to use it for five minutes). Once created, go into the Accounts & Sync, select the new account and ensure Calendar is set to sync. Then go into your Calendar application, tap Menu>Settings>ensure your real Gmail account exists and add a new event. Next, you'll go back to Account & Sync, and you should have the option to check Calendar sync under the real Gmail account. Check it to initiate the sync. After all is said and done and the sync is complete, go under Accounts & Sync and remove that fake account you set up. I've been this jump start a Gmail account countless times, and its a lot of steps but takes 5-10 minutes to complete. Keep me posted!

  • Creative Cloud Mac app says "Your Home Feed Is Empty" after forced password reset

    After resetting my CC password, the CC app on my Mac says "Your Home Feed Is Empty" except I already have Ps, In, Ai and Acrobat XI installed.  It looks like I have to download them all again, is this the case?  Have quit out of the CC app, restarted Mac etc, no change.
    Hope you can help.

    In case that was ambiguous, Ps, Ai, In etc are all running fine, and were installed through the CC app before the password reset.  So to get updates through the CC app, do I need to download themm all again?

    I did a factory reset "Erase all contents and settings" on my iPad 2, but there are issues with activating the iPad. I have tried it connecting with itunes and restore it both with Recovery mode and DFU mode, but still the issue persist.

    Hello,
    You are correct the Mac OS X 10.5 MacBook disk will be little help to you. I'm surprised it booted to allow you into disk utilities. Your also correct that you would require the disk that came with the PowerBook.
    If you try holding down the option key, does that allow you to select your hard drive to boot from?
    I do think that you would need to reinstall the OS (Mac OS X 10.4) either using a retail copy of the disk or some replacement system disks. I doubt there is too much wrong with the hard drive itself.

    By mistake last night I lost everything from my phone. The only thing that I have is half of the pictures. Here is something strange. I see only the half of the pictures and when let's say I want to edit a picture that I see in, after I selected, it appears another picture that I don't usualy see.

    I found my pictures if I go to memory card/images, but I cant see them in media/gallery. Why some of the pictures I can see on Media/Gallery and others not? I know that all the pictures are on the memory card.

    If you simply want to send the exact same message to everyone in your address book with emails ending in "@whatever.com", you can do the following:
    Create an email with subject, message and attachments but no addresses
    Open Address Book, All Contacts
    Search in Address Book for @whatever.com
    Select the results and drag them into the To: or Bcc: field of the email. If Bcc: then put your email address in the To: field.
    Send the email
    This will not personalize the emails (such as with "Dear firstname:" at the top of the message) but it will let you send an idential message to everyone who meets your criteria.

    What version of Windows is installed on the notebook - ie XP, Vista, Windows 7 etc?
    It might be worth resetting the bios defaults as follows.
    Shut down the notebook.  Tap away at the esc key as soon as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu, then select f10 to enter the Bios Menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.

  • Password Reset Issue in Portal

    Hi All,
    Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Issue : We have resetted a password for one srm user in Portal. The User when he tried to login after the password reset initially it was asked to change the password. User changed the password. He is succesfully logged into the portal. Now the problem is when he tries to access a srm work item in worklist it is opening a new window and asking to reset the password again with the error message "No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password & This is an initial password that must be changed". It is not asking to change when he tries to login to portal and this error is promting only when he tries to open a work item. Because of this the user could not proceed to work further.
    Can any please let me know if faced with the same error.

    Hi Viswes,
    There are two solutions for this issue,
    1. Create a custom application which will change PWD in all the systems once you change your Portal PWD.
    2. Change the backend PWD before accessing UWL. (Login to backend system directly, it will ask for change of PWD).

    Navigate to your lib directory within your CF install, find neo-security.xml, make a backup copy of it, then open it in a text editor and set the value for admin.security.enabled to false. Then, restart CF. You should then be able to access the CF Administrator without any password at all. You can then reenable and reset the password.

    Hello there,
    Recently a friend of mine asked me how to erase all data on an iPhone ? I pointed to him to "factory reset".
    Now, I see a bunch of websites that show how to recover data after factory reset using their software, not sure if they work as advertised or not.
    What I would like to know is if the user wants the data to be erased and non-recoverable, is this the best option or if there is any other option available in iPhone that can make the data un-recoverable. We want to make sure the data is un-recoverable after factory reset.

    unfortunately this doesn't answer my question.
    I do know the option to "erase all content and settings" in iPhone.
    What I want to know is to make sure once done, no one can recover that data back. Since this phone will be sold off to some stranger, we don't want them to have access to the data.
    Here are a few websites from my just preliminary search results that show how to recover data.
    just google "extracting data after factory reset iPhone" and you will see a bunch of websites offering their products to recover. So I want to check if this is so simple, how can we really make sure the data is wiped off clean.

    After the installation, repair disk permissions.
    Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
    And try Safari maintenance...
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
    Safari add-ons can cause performance issues or other situations
    Also, if you are running Safari in 64 bit mode, try running in 32-bit mode instead. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Quit Safari then relaunch.
    While you have the Get Info window open for Safari, make sure it's not running in Rosetta.
