UC540 w/ latest SP stops serving web pages

Okay, I have a customer out there with a 540 (the only 540 I sold) where they will call me, from one of their VOIP phones, via their SIP trunk, to tell me they can't get on the Internet.
Obviously if their Internet connection had completely stopped we wouldn't be talking.
So I am able to RDesktop in through the 540 and access a PC in their office, and cannot use that PC to get to any web pages.  The carp you say!
So the UC540 is basically still handing phone calls, it can still handle RDP, but it won't serve-up web pages.
This 540 has been in place for maybe nine months now, working pretty well.  The call I got today was the 2nd time this happened.  The first time it was maybe 3-4 weeks ago.
Any ideas on what I can check? The fix, BTW, seems to be power cycling the UC540.  Next time I'm going to have them leave the UC540 and power cycle the cable modem (Time Warner).  But any tips on diagnosing this would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't know this specific problem, but I do know that SP7 breaks the JHTML
functionality, so maybe it is related. We went back to SP5, while looking
          at upgrading to 5.1

  • Dreamweaver CC suddenly (yesterday) stopped viewing web pages via F12 key.  the browser opens but times out on all browsers now

I have been running Dreamweaver since 2008 (CS).  I have a server on the local network that I save my work on and remotely connect to it via a mapped network drive W while in Dreamweaver.  When Dreamweaver starts it loads via the site the mapped drive contents.  It shows the files and folders of clients I am currently working on.  Up until yesterday I was able to open a folder in Dreamweaver CC, work on a file and to view it in a browser, I would of course save the current changes and press the F12 key to bring up the browser and display the web page in full screen view.  I never used the live view button on the Dreamweaver menu before, I only pressed the F12 key to see the browser in full screen and display the html page.
However since yesterday when I press the F12 key any of my browsers (Firefox 29.01, Internet Explorer 11, Opera (latest), Safari (latest)  and Chrome (latest) only open and Time Out.
I am running Windows 8.1 update
I am running Adobe Cloud CC for my Adobe Products
    Attempted Fixes to date:
    I have searched online forums
I have uninstalled Dreamweaver CC and re installed it
I again uninstalled and reinstalled Dreamweaver CC and deleted the profile settings
I have contacted Adobe support but they said the F12 key worked so cannot help any more
I still have the same problem.
The only way to view these files in a browser is to right click the file and select open with and select the browser to check it with.
Can anybody help me as I have been running my current set up since 2008 without any issues.

Can you verify that the shortcut key is assigned properly for browser preview here:
If it isn't, Click the last option 'Edit Browser List' > edit the settings in the preferences tab:
This will ensure that your keyboard shortcut is mapped properly.
If the setting in 1st screenshot shows the shortcut properly, but still isn't loading, you could try trashing your cache: Deleting a corrupted cache file

  • How do I stop last web pages from auto loading in Safari?

I find the feature of Lion that auto-loads previous web pages (and previous open applications) annoying. I want to stop this function. I see the checked box that asks if I want to re-open applications when logging out but I want the default to be to NOT re-open the apps. I equally dislike the auto-opening of previous web pages in Safari. I know that I can clear my history but what I want is for my homepage to open when I run Safari and not the last page viewed. Any solutions?
Found this for Safari in the forums...
Go to terminal and type in the following:
    defaults write com.apple.Safari ApplePersistenceIgnoreState YES
If you decide that you rather have the new resume behavior, execute the above commands but change YES to NO.
You can also do the same for Preview:
    defaults write com.apple.Preview ApplePersistenceIgnoreState YES

    iDrifter: The full command is:
    defaults write com.apple.Preview ApplePersistenceIgnoreState YES
I was having the same problem and this is what I did:
    1) Closed Safari
    2) Changed the setting (mentioned) above in System Preferences
    3) Enter the "defaults write ..." command into Terminal.
Now whever I launch Safari it does not load any pages.

  • Firefox is not displaying the latest version of a web page!

When I open this web page with Safari, it doesn't display exactly the same information as when I open the page with Firefox.
Based on the missing information, I suspect that Firefox is displaying an OLD version of the page.
If so, what can I do to always have the most current page displayed???
    Thanks

If this is a page you visit frequently, then Firefox may have cached an earlier version longer than the site anticipated. To temporarily bypass the cache, you can try one of the following:
Shift + click the reload button<br>
    Command + Shift + r (on Windows: Ctrl + Shift + r)
Does that retrieve the latest version? If so, caching is the issue. If not, there must be some other explanation.

  • How to stop closed web pages from reloading into a new tab?

Web pages reload automatically, creating multiple copies of the same page. This happens on news sites (e.g., the Guardian). The page will even reopen after being closed.
    Suggestions THAT DO NOT WORK:
    1) Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
    2) GreaseMonkey and its ridiculous scripts that are badly documented and problematic to have work.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • How do i stop Firefox from stopping a web page from Re-directing?

For example: I have a site that when I sign in, Firefox pops up with the blue bar across the bottom of the address line, that says it stopped the web site from re-directing, and then there is the "allow" button. I want to STOP it from doing that! How do I do that? ~ I run the newest updates from Firefox on my Mac OS X 10.7.5. ~~~ I followed the "manual steps"... Um... • How can I get Firefox 4 to detect and load the latest version of a web page automatically?

Since upgrading to Firefox 4 from Firefox 3, I've noticed that various pages I visit frequently
    http://smbhax.com
    http://sketchy.smbhax.com
    http://paleface.net/z/monkey
come up showing old versions of the page, so I have to press F5 to see the latest version.
I did not have to do this under Firefox 3--if the page was out of date, it loaded up the new one for me without making me refresh manually.
Looking through the support documentation, I see that in about:config, I could change browser.cache.check_doc_frequency to 1 to force it to check for a new version every time, but the default (3) *should* be detecting when pages are out of date--it is not.
I never changed that setting under Firefox 3, so presumably the default setting worked in that version of the browser. Did the default used to be 1? Or is the behavior for the setting "3" just not working the same way in Firefox 4?

Since switching to proper HTTP cache-control headers on the server, Firefox has not failed to present me with the freshest version of those sites.
Those headers were not necessary in order for Firefox to do the same in previous versions of the browser--all it took previously was a meta-equiv "pragma" "no-cache" line in the page HTML. Firefox 4 doesn't seem to be supporting that old HTTP 1.0 instruction. Anyone browsing updating sites that still rely on pragma no-cache may have to press F5 to see the latest version of the page--unless perhaps they change their browser.cache.check_doc_frequency setting from the default; I did not test that.

  • Firefox Randomly stops loading web pages properly until restart.

So i want to first say that iv been a long time firefox user, however a few firefox builds ago i started having this issue where randomly when clicking a link or typing a page into the url and attempting to load, the browser would just load... and load.... and load until i exited browser and reclicked the link or retyped it into the url where it would then proceed to practically instantly load like normal.
First i thought i might have a virus, however cleaning my PC with 0 results found did not stop this issue, rebuilding 3 new PC's for my home also did not stop this issue because its currently happening on all of my computers in the home. I then thought maybe it was my internet however a few friends iv asked who also use firefox experience the same issue. Unfortunately i switched to another browser to stop the problem but when i heard there was a new firefox update i came back. However the problem still persist today as of 6/8/14.
If anyone knows a fix please let me know so i don't have to switch to a different browser again.
So basically when it loads extremely slow all i have to do is literally exit browser and reopen the exact same link and it works flawlessly, until the issue pops up again when clicking on another link however many minutes later.
I would also like to note (if it helps at all) that when it decides to start this loading bug error, one particular webpage seems to be exempt from it "Bing.com" no matter if im having this issue bing loads instantly every single time regardless, i dont use bing so i have no clue why this website does not have the same issues as every other website. (bing works for every PC as well in my home during this issue)
Thanks for the help in advance.

I had a recent problem which was making the Firefox behaving in a similar way. In my case, the culprit was a plugin which was displaying some info about the website I was visiting (IP, location, domain info, etc). So, I suggest that you'd review all the plugins which:
    * Can interfere with the communication between your computer and the server
    * Would perform additional requests to other servers, with the purpose of acquiring info, whenever you visit a page.
You can deactivate one/few plugins at a time and check, however a quick way to see if the issue are caused by one of them is to use Help -> Restart with addons disabled and select the Safe Mode, which will deactivate all the plugins until the next Firefox restart.

  • Safari stops loading web pages

    Issue:
Type web address into address bar
    select enter
progress bar appears, but stops part way (estimate about 10%, judging how far the blue line moves)
after a period, the progress bar disappears and a white page is displayed
For pages that are already open, content stops refreshing
The issue is only temporarily resolved by restarting the machine.
The issue appeared today (22nd)  (upgraded to to 10.10 on 19th).
Network connection works as expected as do other browsers, FireFox, Chrome, Opera.
    Environment:
    OS X 10.10 (14A389)
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)
    3 GHz Intel Core i7
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Intel Iris 1536 MB

    Hi ..
Might be a cookies, cache, or extensions, issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
    Click:  Remove All Website Data
    Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that doesn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • Why does safari stop opening web pages after a while in use?

Since upgrading to Lion, my imac (Intel) 21.5 works fine for most of the time, but frequently when using Safari to browse the internet, it will stop accessing pages, either from new searches or from history - the blue loading bar in the address panel starts, then stops. Safari itself keeps working, new tabs can be opened, history can be checked, etc. Checking the Wi-Fi shows that it is still connected, and other PCs and ipods in the house can still access the net, showing it is not a net or router problem. Restarting the machine does not usually cure the issue, only shutting down for a long period, eg overnight, when it generally starts up fine again.
This has been happening almost since I upgraded 2 months ago, but not every time we use Safari.

You can do some basic Safari trouble shooting by:
    Safari - Reset Safari
    Safari - Empty Cache
You can also be just low on RAM. As a general rule your system should have about 500MB or more of FREE RAM. To check to see how much your system has open Activity Monitor - System Memory Tab and look for the amount of free RAM. You can find AM in Applications - Utilities - Activity Monitor. Remember to check when you are seeing a slow down otherwise the information will be meaningless. The graphic will look similar to:
