UC560 Extension Mobility Logon Button, Possible?
Is it possible to have either a softkey or replace a line button with an Extension Mobility logon button?
Our customer has UC560 (CME 8.1) with SPA504G handsets.
Thanks in advance
Matty
yeah I would like to know this too, its crazy that you have to go so deep into the menu to just logon or off.
I thought that's what the login softkey was for!

Extension Mobility: "One button Logout"
Hi all,
My need is to configure a single button to a manager perform the logout of EM.
So ...I configured the "single button logon" with a especific IP Phone Service with path below, assign this to my 7961 on Phone Button Template and worked very well.
EM One Button Login:
http://<pub>:8080/emapp/EMAppServlet?device=<MAC>&userid=<UserID>&seq=<PIN>
Now I just need to configure the "One Button" to logout but I'm not finding the full string to log out without confirmation.
Anyone know the full path to perform the log out without confirmation ?Leonardo,
I believe the URL you require would be:-
http:///emapp/EMAppServlet?device=#DEVICENAME#&doLogout=true
Let me know how it goes,
Craig

CUCM 8.6.2 - SURL Buttons Issue related to Extension Mobility
Hello Guys,
we are running a CUCM 8.6.2.22900-2 with the extension mobility service. One the user device profiles we have applied several third application services via SURL buttons. Actually I though it does not matter, what device type I choose during the UDP Creation. The Buttons should appear on every model, which support SURL.
When I log into a 8945 with a 9971 user device profile, the SURL buttons do not show. It only works, if I create a dedicate UDP Profile with the 8945 type as base. The same for other models of the 89er/99er Series.
Can you help? Is this a bug?
Thanks.Chris:
Thanks for the input. We do have the LDAP configured, we are using LDAPS. It is looking like port 636 form the CUP server is trying to reach out to the AD server so we are opening up that port to test if that is out issue. 636 is open from CUCM to AD but not CUP to AD.

Possible scenarios Extension Mobility can get logged out
I'm trying to determine what are the possible causes a user can get logged out from the Extension Mobility session?
I know one of it is when the maximum login time is reach, the user will get logged out but what other scenario's can a user get logged out?Hi,
One reason is listed in the link below
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/18772-extension-mobility.html#logsout
Just want to add that a phone reset / restart or deactivating extension mobility service will not result in the logout of the IP phone from extension mobility logged in profile.

Hello Gurus,
I have configured Emergency Access Management in GRC AC 10.
GRC Box (SID) : GR1 client 100
Backend ERP system : D24 client 100
The FIREFIGHTER in GRC system : FFUSER1
Z_SAP_GRAC_SUPERUSER_MGMTUSER
Z_SAP_GRC_FN_BASE
Z_SAP_GRC_NWBC
In the Backend ERP system the FIREFIGHTER ID: ABC wants to access the FIREFIGHTER(FFUSER1)
Hence in NWBC (Setup >Superuser Assignment>Firefighter ID) the assignment is done.
ABC(FIREFIGHTER ID) <--->FFUSER1(FIREFIGHTER)
Now the User login the GRC system using FFUSER1 assigned following roles
Z_SAP_GRAC_SUPERUSER_MGMTUSER
Z_SAP_GRC_FN_BASE
Z_SAP_GRC_NWBC
Z_SAP_GRAC_SPM_FFID
and runs Transaction: GRAC_SPM
and he is able to see that ABC is assigned .
Now the user clicks on "Logon" and the status changes from green to "RED".
A new SAP screen opens asking credintials for Backend ERP system D24 client 100
The User enters his own Id : ABC and password and logs in.
Runs the necessary transactions and logs out using transaction: /nex
The session in GRC is still running and now the "LOGON button" is disabled , he comes out of that screen too.
When the user tries to login again using FFUSER1 to do more task , the "LOGON Button" is seen disabled.
and clicking the "unlock" button also doesn;t help.
When checked in SM04, no live session is reflected .
How can we "enable" the LOGON button in the transaction : GRAC_SPM for the same FIREFIGHTER (FFUSER1) assigned for Firefighter ID (ABC) ??
As it is now not possible to click "LOGON" button and the status is "RED".
Please let me know your opinion .
Thank You.

Extension Mobility in CUCM 7.1: How to send Userid and Pin with Service Par
Hi at all
is it possible to configure the IP Phone Service (CUCM 7.1)for Extension mobility so that when a user login in EM they dont need to insert the UserID and UserPin???
I think it could work with the Service Parameter but I dont know how.
Have somebody an idea?
Thanks.
kind regards
JoséHi!
As far as I know that's not possible and it will defeat the purpose of using Extension Mobility as anyone could login from a phone with no credentials. Porbably you could configure a script or something that allows you to accomplish this, but it won't be supported.

Teresa.

Extension mobility redundancy in CUCM 8.5
Hi ,
I have a doubt in cucm 8.5 extension mobility redundancy.
I have 3 call managers in cluster.
1. X.X.X.1 - punlisher
2. X.X.X.2 - sub1
3. X.x.X.3 - sub3
i have configured CUCM X.X.X.2 (sub 1) for extension mobility URL and in exterprise parameter configuration also (service URL). all phones are subscribed this URL and users login.
my schenerio is,
if SUB1 goes down, i change enterprise parameter service URL IP to punblisher. is that enough for users to login to extension mobility?
my doubt is,
in the above schenerio,
users press services button, request will go to enterprise parameter URL> enterprise URL will check for subscribed services> and route the request to the subscribed services for the phones . but here i have subscribed only EM service which has sub1 IP address.
how user can login?
if users can login meas, how that works.
or do i need to create 2 EM service (one for SUB1 IP, another one for PUB IP) and subscribe all the phones with both the services?
so that if subscriber fails user will login another service with has publisher IP?
I have activated EM service in all call managers inthe cluster.
please clarify my doubts.
thanksHi
Yes , the extension mobilty HA is avilable starting from V8 .On earlier verions as v 7 is not supported, Please find the below link:-
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/8x/cmapps.html#wp1189079
I think you have to deploy SLB (server load balancer) to distribute requests through servers . You can use load balancer as (F5 , or DNS round robin).
Note:The problem , is that the "Login" and "Logout" service URLs can really only point to one IP address. Please find the below solution based on DNS:-
- create multiple DNS records for the same name which will point to two CCM servers running the EM service
- point your EM service URL at that hostname which you have created on 1 step.
- ensure your phones have valid DNS servers assigned to resolve the above
Note: the problem on the DNS is the delay between requests.
Thank you

Strange problem with Extension Mobility and Click to Call
Can anyone explain how is it possible ? Any ideas, guys?
CUCM 7.1.3
PC1 with IP comm. and user1 is logged in to Extension Mobility + Click to Call. User1 can make a call using Click to Call.

There are no any firewalls between PCs and CUCM server.Sounds like a possible permissions issue on the workstation to me. Have you tried configuring one of your test users as the local admin on the workstation?

Extension Mobility not working properly
Dear All,
I would like to ask about extension mobility on my Cisco Unified Call manager 8.5. The problem is when I press services button then Extension Mobility the put the User ID and Pin, the login was successfull but after that there's no change on IP Phone screen.
After I check on Cisco Unified Call Manager -> Devices -> Phone -> Actively Logged In Device Report I was found that my ID already login on IP Phone, but like I say before there's no change on IP Phone, my Directory Number, Name also not appear.
Did anyone experiencing same issue above? Or anyone know how to fix issue above?
Please let me know, I'm very appreciate to all of you that help and contribute on this discussion
Best Regards,
Nanda NurhadyanNanda,
Have you created a Specific Device Profile with your DN and name? You will need to do that, and then you will need to go in to your end user account and make it a controlled profile.
If you do not have a device profile specific for you, you are probably getting the default device profile that doesn't have any DN associated with it.
Let me know if this helps.

Specify ID and PIN in extension mobility URL?
Hi
I have a customer who is using extension mobility to allow users to log in/out of hunt groups. They would like to streamline the process by removing the need to enter the PIN each time. I'm wondering if it's possible to include the user id and pin in the service URL so they could make a separate IP service for each agent.Mahesh,
I wouldn't bother testing, this is an old post and I had replied to another of his before which he didn't respond too. Here is my other post, the URL above and in mine is correct.

3905 SIP phone does not support extension mobility?
Does any one can confirm if 3905 SIP phone support extension mobility? I subscribed "extension mobility" service under phone, but I can not see it after I press "application" button on the phone. But I can not find any document says 3905 does not support it. Anyone can confirm that?

Extension Mobility Failover mode
CCM 4.1(3)
We discovered yesterday during failover testing that Extension Mobility does not function when CCM PUB is down. When pressing the services button on the phone the message "Requesting" displays, and the services menu does not populate. Is this an expected loss of functionality with the PUB down or does this sound like a Configuration problem? EM functions normally with the PUB on line. ThanksThere is no failover for EM in 4.1(3)
There are some features and functions that require access to the master database on the publisher because they make modifications to records and therefore need write access. The publisher is the only server in a Cisco CallManager cluster that has a read and write configuration database. The main features and functions that require access to the publisher for write access include:
?Configuration additions, changes, and deletions
?Extension Mobility
?User speed dials
?Cisco CallManager User page options requiring the database
?Cisco CallManager software upgrades
?Call Forward All changes
?Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) state
Other services or applications might also be affected, and their ability to function without the publisher should be verified when deployed.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_implementation_design_guide_chapter09186a0080447510.html#wp1045103
Regarding the services, the URL may be pointing to the PUB, and HTTP request are sent to PUB.For this you need to create a DNS entry which responds to this request no matter if Primary server is offline.

Ccm 4.1.3 : Extension mobility error [10]
Hello,
CCM is integrated with Active Directory, passwords of CCMadministrator and CCMsysuser are syncronized.
When users try to login into extension mobility service they receive error [10] which is:
Proxy Authentication Not Allowed: the appID that is specified does not have rights to log in or log out other users.
I guess that appID is CCMSysUser here, so where could these right could possibly be turned on? I've tried looking in the attributes of CCMSysuser in Active Directory - no luck, nothing like proxy rights/auth found. No luck.
Tried reinstalling LDAP integration plugin, installation completed OK, but password fields of ccmadministrator and ccmsysuser in the CCM's regisrty became empty.
After putting there encrypted password (passwordutils.exe) and restarting IIS ADMin/TOmcat i receive error [10] again.
Any suggestions please?.. -
Constraining extension mobility
Dear support,
I have five hundred 7942 phones all of the with extension mobility service bound and enabled. The five hundred phones are distributed among 5 different departments. I need to constrain extension mobility within each department to avoid users from one department to login into a phone from another department and make calls. Is there a way to achieve this requirement? My CUCM version is 9.1.
Best Regards,
Roberto. How are you pulling the billing data? It should show user A's extension so the billing could be associated to the correct department that way. Does each department go out a different circuit or something?
You could put in a feature enhancement request through your account team to possibly have this feature added in a future release if you can make enough of a business case for it. It may still take a long time before it gets added to CUCM though.
