UCCE 7.2 integration with HP Service Manager

Hello Experts!!
We have a requirement at one of our customer place. I am giving brief overview of what currently is happening and what customer wants to achieve.
IPCC Enterprise – 7.2
CVP – 7.0
CTI Toolkit Agent Desktop 7.5(4)
HP service manager(HPSM) 7.X resides on MS-SQL 2005.
Currently agents are using CAD when the call comes in they only see CLI getting displayed on CAD, agent has to copy CLI from CAD to HP Service Manager to get the helpdesk ticket details.
Customer's requirement is to have one single Screen. Either integrate the HP desktop with Cisco CTI or populate the required information on the Cisco agent desktop application screens.
From the Cisco prospective I have doubts.
1) How this can be achieved? Can we achieve this using Agent toolkit desktop? Which means if we modify the Cisco Agent desktop using tool kit can HPSM information be integrated to CAD and become one single screen?
2) Can we develop any third party agent desktop(say in VB) and make agent login to this VB desktop and when call comes fetch the information from the DB and populate it on new developed desktop?
Or is there some other way we can achieve this?
Please help!!
Thanks,
Daljeet

Dear Gokul, Chad, Geoff,
My sincere apologies for not replying earlier to your posts, i was down with fever and was on leave.
My Replies to the posts.
My Replies for Gokul Inlines
1) How does the agent access the HPSM server. Through a web browser? Or is there a client side application that runs on each of the agent deskops?
--> Its a thick client,
2) Also, given a CLI, would you know where to pick up data from the HPSM SQL database? As in would you know what query needs to be run for the agent to get the ticket details?
--> Still we need to study the exact requirements which needs to be pushed to CTI OS Client, but i dont see any issues in gathering the information.
Reply for Chad:
HPSM isnt web based client, so how do you suggest, shall we redesign the CTI OS client? and how this integration will happen? as you mentioned any help for us would be wonderfull in this regard
Reply for Geoff,
Geoff, my bad, it isnt CAD it is CTI OS Client, which you say service desk allowed you to call from CLI with certain arguments, i am sorry but i dint get your comments and i am not sure how HPSM really works, as this will going to be first CTI OS Development for us.
To be honest here, I am new to development of CTI OS client so my questions may sound candid to you, but i am curious to learn this stuff and to understand where to start from.
Thanks,
Daljeet

  • Is BOE 4.0 integrated with Data Services XI 4.0

    Hi,
I have gone through some blogs and documentation on Data Services XI 4.0 and some where it is mentioned that BOE 4.0 is integrated with Data Services XI 4.0. Is it true? If it is true then i want to know how can we integrate BOE 3.1 SP2 with data services XI 4.0 because right now we are using BOE 3.1 SP2, BW 7.01 and want to install Data Services XI 4.0 unless there is no compatibility issue between them.
I need this information immediately because we have to install data services if its compatible with BOE 3.1 SP2 and BW 7.01.

    Hi Aditya,
From the XI 4.0 Data Services Upgrade Manual:
2.1 Major changes in Data Services XI 4.0
Unlike previous releases of Data Services and Data Integrator, SAP BusinessObjects Data Services
XI 4.0 introduces central user management, which relies on SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise. Users
are authenticated against the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise security, and repositories are registered
    in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.
You can use either an existing SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 installation to manage Data
Services users and repositories, or SAP BusinessObjects Information platform services, which is availabe
to all Data Services customers and contains the required SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise services for
    user management.
For information about installing SAP BusinessObjects Information platform services, see the SAP
    BusinessObjects Data Services Installation Guide.
So it sounds like you can't use an exisiting BOE XI 3.1 CMC, but would need to upgrade it to XI 4.0 or use the SAP BusinessObjects Information platform services, which is included with XI 4.0 Data Services.

  • Integration with SAP Records Management

    Dear SAP gurus,
We are in SRM 7 EHP 1 with backend ECC 6 EHP 5. We are exploring PPS (Procurement for Public Sector) feature in SRM. We see that using PPS we can have integration with SAP Records Management. To be honest, I never see SAP Records Management so we want to confirm the functionality. Our legacy system require a electroning filing system, in which all documents related to procurement is scanned (whether it is document from system, or the one created manually), and then stored in a server in a pdf format.
Does SAP Records Management have this functionality in which it stores the pdf doc inside one server? If not, what is exactly the functionality of SAP Records Management?

  • Siebel Integration with Lotus Knowledge Management Tool

    Hi,
I am currently working on Siebel 8.1 and have a requirement to integrate it with Lotus Knowledge Management tool.
Does Oracle provide OOTB adapters for integration for Lotus KM just like Inquira?
    Please let me know.
    Regards.

    Hi,
I am not able to find any information regarding integration of Lotus Knowlegde Management with Siebel.
Unless someone else in this forum has an answer, I recommend you to open a Service Request in support.oracle.com to confirm if such integration exists, and if not ask for a product enhancement request for this integration or request another solution that may be suitable. You can also contact IBM to verify if they have performed any validation using both products.

  • Integration with Cisco Call Manager?

We have Cisco VOIP phones and we would like to continue managing calls with Cisco Call Manager.  We currently have voicemail on Cisco Unity.  We currently have Exchange 2010, but plan to start using Exchange 2013 soon.
However, we would like to migrate voicemail service from Cisco Unity to Exchange Unified Messaging and also want to take advantage of most of the voicemail-related features of UM such as voice to text sent to email, voice mail waiting indicator light on
the phones and sending voice mail audio attachments to email.
Is Exchange 2013 Unified Messaging compatible Cisco phones that are managed by Cisco Call Manager?
We have 500 users and 2 Exchange 2010 servers (1 CAS and 1 Mailbox Server).  We now have a few Exchange 2013 licenses available in addition to our existing 2010 licenses that are already used on our existing 2 servers.  Can we keep the 2 existing
Exchange 2010 servers as they are and create a new Unified Messaging server on  Exchange 2013 in the same environment or do we need to upgrade all the 2010 servers to 2013 if we use Unified Messaging on 2013?

  • Integration with other IT Management Softwares

    Dear experts,
With the IT Services and Asset Management solution and in combining, SAP CRM, SAP ERP and SAP Solution Manager applications, it is possible to support all Service Management processes (Service Support and Service Delivery).
SAP Solution Manager can also be used for Application Management processes.
But we still need external applications for specific segments such as Event Management, Job Scheduling, DBMS Management, Network Management, Server Management, Licence Management ... in order to manage SAP and non-SAP systems.
SAP documentation states that Third party tools could be integrated via open interfaces in Solution Manager. But what is the result? Once third party tools have been integrated to Solution Manager, can we see, for example, all licences for all products in our IT landscape in Solution Manager or is it just a link to this third party application? What is the purpose of the integration of a specific IT management tool into Solution Manager?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stephanie

    Hi Nelson,
You can't replace the current Anychart with FusionChart, but you can upgrade to a newer version of Anychart if you want.
If you want to integrate FusionCharts, you add javascript and a flash file to your page and provide xml (for ex from a process) to it. I believe Scott Spendolini had these steps in his presentation of ODTUG, which you can download from that site.

  • Java class integration with Oracle Identity Manager 9.1.0.2

    Hello Friends,
I have a java class that is responsible for sending notifications, my question is how do the relationship of this class with the Oracle Identity Manager 9.1.0.2 so you can take the class and notify users when an application is approved or rejected.
    Any recommendation for this process.
    Thanks for the support
Edited by: JLK on Jun 12, 2012 5:20 PM

    Hi
Java class integration with OIM happen through concept of adapters. You can go through OIM documentation of how to create adapters.
In your case you should create a process task adapetrs adn attach it on the Approved response code in your approval process.
Desingn Console --> Process management --> Process definition --> <Apprlication Process Ex: AD User>.
Alternatively you can also send notification using OIM OOTB email templates.

  • High Watermark issue with monitoring Service Manager 2012 R2

    Hi,
Our customer has a Service Manager / Operations Manager 2012 R2 environment where SCOM will regularly generate an alarm related to High Watermark monitoring on the Service Manager data warehouse - not every day though. The alarm looks like this:
Value of 3559 is not higher than 3559
This value hasn't changed for weeks.
Having done a lot of searching we have found nothing but reference to the same recurring flow of information where people keep mentioning different values but there is no conclusion of what this might be caused by and how to solve it. The solutions
have become outdated anyway. Here is one example:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/systemcenter/en-US/889af8f3-cdf8-4d88-ae99-5dbe18d529ef/service-manager-2012-data-warehouse-high-watermark-monitor
The Service Manager Database Account in SCOM is our service account that has sysadmin in SQL. Basically, with regards to the security configuration, our customer should be covered.
To my knowledge agent-based and agentless monitoring have both been supported since SCSM 2012 SP1. Also, we have the latest management pack for Service Manager monitoring in SCOM, at the moment this should be
    7.5.3079.0.
As mentioned above the value has not been changing for quite some time and nor has it in the database.
    My questions are the following:
    - Is there anyone that has found a solution in the meantime, especially with regards to R2?
    - What is the purpose of High Watermark monitoring for the data warehouse? Why does this need to be monitored?
    - We would like to understand the nature of this value better. Should it be higher each day compared to the day before?
    - Could it just be overriden in SCOM?
    Many thanks in advance!

Rather unexpectedly, the SCOM alarm disappeared overnight and when checking the workflow in the incident that was generated from the alarm, the incident got a Resolved status right before midnight at 23:59:58. We have a ConfigMgr connector that is scheduled
to run at 23:00 which we had disabled a day ago to check something else. But I don't think it had anything to do with this. As the alarm has disappeared from the SCOM console, we have also checked the registry values. Now, instead of "3559 3559 3559"
it says "3559 3559 3585". We have had the 3559 value since 18th July, and out of a sudden something must have been triggered, causing the value to increase. What was triggered and how, no idea... Not sure either what it means that only one of the
Three numbers have been updated with a new value. When talking about the DW jobs, using the SMlets we can see every day that, MPSync, DWMaintenance and the ETL jobs are working well. What we have had though for a longer time is that the cube processing
tends to have issues once a week, where processing won't finish and the cubes get hanging in a running state. We can fix that manually every time and often we don't even have to touch DWMaintenance or the ETL jobs, we don't need to go beyond manually
working with the cube processing jobs themselves. So it might not have an impact on the ETL jobs themselves. Occasionally we do find ourselves in a situation where we we need to play around in the SQL database and manually set the required value (can't
recall if it's 3, 6 or 7) cause we get an error in the DWMaintenance batch, but even though that's an occasional issue it's not constant and also something we can solve, and furthermore it's another known issue outside of the high watermark issue. So
we are a bit uncertain but can at least see that something works sometimes that sometimes increases the high watermark value :). In our case.

  • ISE integration with Mobile Device Management ( MDM ) help required

    Dear Techies,
Am here bring to your notice an different issue and no much resources to support even in PEC or Cisco Document.
We are conduction a Proof Of Concept (PoC) on  Secure Bring Your Own Device ( BYOD ) using Cisco ISE and gonna test all the scenarios like Wired, Wireless and VPN user access.
    Setup Brief :
    =========
Our Setup has  ISE VM acting as Admin, Monitor and Profiling Device, we have NAC 3315 physical Appliance as Inline posture Device, Wireless LAN controller, Access point and the Identity source as Microsof Active Directory
Having Plans to Integrate Mobile Device Management ( MDM ) and Citrix VDI setup also.
    Activity Brief:
    =========
As of now we have tested the Wired Scenario Authentication and authorization for guest users and gonna carry out the profiling and posture.
    Clarifications Required
    ================
Wired Scenario - Require some configuration / steps on how to carryout posture for the guest wired users i.e. LAPTOP.
    Wireless Scenario
MDM can be integrated to ISE ?
How the MDM can be integrated to Cisco ISE configuration or Guide to show the same?
What is the demarcation between MDM and ISE ( i.e. What is the role of ISE and MDM on Mobile Devices ) ?
If MDM is available so then when the control of ISE ends, does MDM do management or ISE will do management of the devices ?
Is MDM will do client provisioning or ISE should do ?
Is MDM send or update patches of Mobile Devices ?
As of now these are the scenarios, kindly revert if any good documents to show this or share your expertise on the Integration Part.
    Thanks for Reading...
    Arun

I would like to avail your valuable inputs to understand on the  Client provisioning part for the Mobile Devices/ Laptop. I understand  from your reply that MDM integration is not available in the current  release ISE 1.1 - That is correct.
Kindly let me know your views or any documents on the following scenarios with the current release in mind
    1. User  with Mobile devices connecting to Wireless  ( both Employee  and Guest ) , How the Flow differs for the Employee and Guest.  How the  client provisioning is done ( i.e. Like Posturing  or Compliance Check  ).
The posturing and compliance check is done based on the user authentication information (i.e. AD memberOf vs Guest user) combined with the users endpoint (windows, mac osx, or a mobile device), ISE then has a few decisions to make based on the authorization policies. For example, if a Domain User coming from a Windows 7 machine joins the network, then can either use the nac agent, or the web agent. Then you can scan for registry settings, file settings, program requirements, hotfix compliance...and the list goes on. If the user fails a check then you can either assign an acl for the user so they only have guest access, or you can place them into a remediation vlan the options are entirely up to the requirements and however the solution is implemented.
    2. User  with Laptop  connecting to Wireless  ( both Employee  and Guest ). How the client provisioning is done ( i.e. Like Posturing   or Compliance Check ).
Guests are usually redirected to the guest portal which they authenticate and their user group falls within the Guest container that is on the ISE internal database, that is usually coupled with an authorization profile that grants them internet access. For the client provisioning, that is usually done based on the operating system, via profiling (dhcp, and user agent string., netmap...etc) and can be fine tuned for all laptops or to a specific set of users based on their group membership.
    3. What are advantages of having ISE also in  place for Mobile devices, since most of the Mobile related tasks ( like  Authentication, Authorization, Profiling and  Posture ) are carried out  by MDM. I am checking for the significant advantage of having ISE for  Client network having only Mobile devices. Kindly clarify.
Currently the advantage of Cisco ISE is that it supports profiling within wireless and really fits well within a network that has mostly Cisco products since they are all part of of the Borderless security initiative being driven on the backend. The product teams for wireless, wired, security (vpn..etc) and ISE are pretty close in building their solutions so that you can get connected with any device any where (sorry for the sales pitch). The latests wireless code is improving and is going to have support similar to the ios sensor for wired devices where dhcp, cdp, and other attributes can be sent in the radius packet for better profiling decisions. With integration for an MDM platform coming soon, and also support for TACACS rumored (have to verify with your account rep) you have options that really stand out from a unit that only supports MDM. Cisco ISE also comes with a wireless product ID so that makes the budget work when it comes to deploying ISE if you arent looking for enforcement on your wired devices.
    4. Do you recommend 802.1X Authentication to use for the Employee and Contractor? The Guest user  authentication as Open ?
For internal users and vendors the best option by far is dot1x, almost all operating systems are capable of performing dot1x and the 1.1.1 MR has a piece now that can provision the supplicant for the users, by using scep to enroll certificates or configure peap settings.
There is a feature within the guest portal that allows you to statically assign guests into endpoint group, that feature is called device registration web authentication. It seems like an open network but uses mac filtering to assign these devices to an endpoint without requiring users to enter any credentials. They are presented with an AUP page, once they accept their mac address is mapped to the endpoint group
    5. How can we ensure the Encryption of traffic from the Guest user to the NAD ( Network Access devices ) ?
This may be a wireless question but I am sure the encryption is done using AES and using dot1x as the key management here is a brief background for this - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a00807f42e9.shtml#L2
You can also use the anyconnect client which can provide macsec which is layer 2 encryption for wired - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/vpndevc/ps6032/ps6094/ps6120/qa_c67-622477_ns1049_Networking_Solutions_Q_and_A.html
    6. We are also looking for VDI  ( Citrix, VMware ) solution for the  client  ( both Employee and Guest ) , how ISE can play a role in  securing the VDI environment.
For most thin clients you can perform dot1x authentication on the device itself, however that is something the manufacturer will have to support. This is a little gray for me.
    7. Is that any integration required  with Citrix or VMware. How the  VDI can be offered based on the User  role ( i.e. Employee, Contractor or Guest ), since Guest database is  available only with ISE, how the checks are made from the VDI  environment.
IN ISE there is an identity sequence which can authenticate users in AD first, if the user is not found then it can look in the internal database.
Our solution demands  MDM in the integrated  solution, As on today ISE cant be integrated with MDM. so what kind of  solution we can propose to have MDM and Cisco ISE .Do the clients now  enter the network should have already installed the MDM agent (or) any  other way of pushing the same to the Client.
Today there is no integration between the devices, the last release time I heard was December for this feature. However it would be best to confirm with your Cisco Account rep on this issue.
    Thanks,
    Tarik Admani
