UCCX 10.5 - License consumption about Agent

My Customer have a solution with UCCX 10.5 and license to 400 Agents. My question is: If I use 50 CTI ports in CUCM to attend IVR, are will there decrease license about Agent of UCCX?

Hi Wilson,
The Agent licenses depend on the number of Seat Licenses you have on the system. For example, if there are 25 seats, then 25 agents can login simultaneously.
These do not depend on the Port licenses.
Other components which utilize seat licenses:

ISE 1.3, information about license consumption
Hi all
We are deploying ISE 1.3 in our network but is not clear for us how the license consumption mechanism is handled by ISE.
I saw in the administration guide that in ISE 1.3 a license is consumed for every active user, and license consumption relies on the attributes used in the authorization policy with which the endpoint is matched.
In ISE 1.2 licensing data sheet it is said that the consumption relies on RADIUS accounting functions to track concurrent endpoints (ISE uses RADIUS
accounting “start” and “stop” messages to determine when network sessions begin and end), but I didn't found any confirmation on that regarding ISE 1.3.
My question is: if I don't enable Radius accouting on the NAD, how ISE determines when the network session is ended and so when it releases the license for that user?
I ask this because during the tests we saw different behaviour; sometimes the session was considered ended and so the license was correctly released, but sometimes the user was considered active also hour later after it left the network, and his license was not correctly released

endpoints active on the network.
Automatic Purge: A purge job runs approximately every 5 minutes to clear
sessions that meet any of the following criterion:
1.Endpoint disconnected (Ex: failed authentication) in the last 15 minutes
(grace time allotted in case of authentication retries)
2.Endpoint authenticated but no accounting start or update received in the last
hour
3.Endpoint idle—no activity (authentication / accounting / posturing /

ISE 1.2/1.2.1 license consumption issues
Hi all, I know this topic is somewhat done to death but I want to know whether anyone else is experiencing this issue. In summary my ISE deployment (right this minute) has 17 Active sessions with 17 base and 17 plus licenses consumed. My issue with this is that of the 17 active sessions only 8 of these sessions are utilising a plus feature ie the registration status in the authorisation policy. In short at all times the plus license consumption always matches the base license consumption.
I have continually had this issue with all ISE deployments whereby the license consumption does not reflect Cisco documentation and my configurations. Without giving screenshots I can say with certainty that the only plus feature been used is the BYOD onboarding and subsequent registration status in the authz policy. The rest of my policies are straight forward CWA guest and EAP-TLS machine cert authorisations with no profiling information used in the policy. I have gone so far as to turn off profiling and removing BYOD policies with the same results.

Any input would be appreciated.The bug is listed as fixed, but I don't see which software it is fixed in. I must admit I've seen this problem for months, probably over a year now. It was already the case on 1.1.4 at least. I have some customers using 1300 of 500 advanced licenses.
It would be nice if it functioned exactly as the documentation always said. It would give you a warm feeling that things will keep working when the advanced license expires entirely (I'm sure we'll find out soon).
At one point I was told it was under discussion whether to fix the problem, or to fix the documentation to fit the problem, but last I heard it would be fixed at some point in the future. Every time we get a call regarding new software (1.2.1, 1.3) I make sure I ask them that the trust based licensing continues. We're OK as long as trust based licensing continues, but it's scruffy and hard to explain to customers why it shows 3 times as many advanced users as they already have. And then on occasions you see their eyes light up when they realise they can run 3000 advanced and Cisco will be none the wiser, or alternatively that they could have got away with a 100 user license and you've just cost them a 5000 user license that nobody can tell if they are using or not. -
License information about SJDS5.2 and SJISW 1 2004Q3
In our environment SJDS5.2 and SJISW 1 2004Q3 is installed on Solaris 9 4/04 on two SPARC machines. We also use MMR feature.
Suddenly I am asked to get licensing information about these products in our environment which was actually installed and configured by another person who has left the company.
Can any one guide me about the licensing information related to these products? After going through this forum I could find some one mentioning like if we use solaris 9 then upto 200,000 entries are free. Is it about the number of users using the LDAP or something else?
Also we have valid support plan for these products from SUN.
Is it based on CPU? Any help on this will be appreciated.

The free 200,000 entries you refer to (entries = objects, not users) are only for DS entries Enterprise Wide, those don't apply to DSEE and consequently don't give you free access to Identity Synchronization for Windows.
You need to go back to your Solaris entitlement to find the details.
Also you always have to subscribe a directory maintenance contract to get support, this is not covered under Solaris maintenance.
Directory maintenance contract are based on the total number of entries managed by you directory service. It is independent from you hardware deployment. -

You will have to first define the phrase: "for UCCX to work."
For example:
If all you care about is pinging the server then, no, none of those services are critical.
If you want UCCX to only answer inbound calls, then a certain subset of the services are critical.
If you want UCCX to deliver calls to Agents, then add a few more services.
If you need HA, then add another.
If you need Outbound, or DB integration, call recording, silent monitoring, or e-mail, etc, you'll add more services to the list.

Do I need license to patch agent through grid control deployment wizard
In grid control, we have license to use database diagnostics pack and database tuning pack.
I know wihtout license for provision pack, I cannot patch database homes using grid control deployment tab. But I'm wondering if I can patch grid control agent through deployment page without license for the prvision pack.
thanksThere is no management pack license needed for patching the agent. You can get clear details what link needs what packs when you click on '+' symbol (Show Management Pack Information) right to the "About Oracle Enterprise Manager" at the extreme down on OEM screen.
When you click on "Show Management Pack Information", it will show what pack needed next to every link in paranthesis. If there is no pack information mentioned next to link means, there is no license needed for that link. -
UCCX 7.X license seats in use
Is any way to check on real time, how many licensed seats are being use. I have found that the agents logged-in info is not the same as the number of license seats in use, for example, if an agent logoff from the CAD it doesn't show anymore on agents logged-in but if the CAD remains open it is still using a seat.

I can run this file on demand but what would you recommend for me to monitor the uccx user seat usage. I had some license applied and they felt short after few extra users signed in and this logged off current users.
I think there might be RTMT but I am guessing that is for UCCX 8.0 But I have UCCX 7.0.1

UCCX 7 Call gets dropped once agent picks up
I have been troubleshooting a problem for a few weeks now where calls are being dropped as soon as the agent picks up the call. This is happening to various agents happening a few times per day everyday. I have done a reactive debug on the script and it seems to go through to the end ok yet everytime an agent reports a call drop as soon as they pickup, i see the following in the MIVR logs. I have checked the CSS/Partitions of all the CTI ports also.The CCM traces and Q931 traces show normal call clearing:

However this call is dropped as per the Jtapi message that the disconnect came from the CCM side however I can see that this call was never assigned to an agent so there should be no miss calls.
As for the second call, I don't have the full picture, as we don't have the offered message of when the call arrives to the system.

The problem with the above call is that you don't see the CallCtlConnEstablishedEv till 7 seconds later, which is why I suspect you get the exception error, as it never got confirmation the call was delivered.
So my concern here, is if you stated you had a issue with calls getting dropped on the UCCX I would agree and ask you to provide CCM/Jtapi logs from the UCCX.
However you stated that your agents are getting miss calls on their IP phone, I disagree with this point as per the analysis performed.
"One question, when the CTI port is ringing the agent's phone to then transfer (reserved state) that call to that agent and the caller hangs up before the agent answer it, does the agent will hear a fast busy tone because that is what the CTI port transfer at the end to the agent? Am I right? if this is it I think there is no way to control this from the UCCX perspective, right?

ISE ver 1.1.2.145 advanced license consumption

I am puzzled with this scenario when it comes to advanced licensing, any insight is greatly appreciated:
I have an XP machine that I am using to access network though ISE authentication and authorization. My authentication is EAP-TLS with machine authentication to simulate company asset. Everytime the XP station connects, ISE consumes a Base license and an Advanced license. Why?? I am note using the profiled group, posture assessment, nor even onboarding in my Authz policy.

Please make sure that the profiling is disabled for this node, it seems as if the radius probe and the user agent is learned via the http probe.
It also seems as if you are hitting this bug I understand the description doesn't line up but you may want to have TAC clarifiy if this isnt experience on authenticating networks:

Cisco ISE applies a wireless access session against the Advanced license allowable user count when it should not
The wireless session in question should be applied against the Base license count. This issue has been observed in Cisco ISE, Release 1.1.1 where the following functions are set:
•MAC Filtering is enabled on the SSID and the Central Web Authentication authorization policy is applied
•Profiling is disabled
•Posture is disabled
•The device in question has not been registered via the My Devices Portal
Note There is no known workaround for this issue.

Can I use CUIC as a wallboard. I just saw a brief demo and it appears that the real-time CUIC reports can show real-time wallboard data that can be used within the CAD integrated browser window. Can anyone confirm this?

I was told that I would need the CUIC/Premium upgrade for UCCX in order to create a real-time dashboard that has both the CSQ stats(CSQ:Sales, Support...etc) and the the individual Agent Name / Status(Ready, Not Ready...etc) with both on one dashboard.

Doubt about Agent Inbox with ERMS and NON-ERMS

We have configured both ERMS and NON-ERMS email receiving (to make some tests) and we verify that only the workitem generated by the NON-ERMS workflow (WS14000164) is shown in the IC Web Client Inbox. The workitem generated by the ERMS workflow (WS00200001) is shown only in the SBWP transaction. Is this right???
We believe that our agent inbox configurations are correct, because it is working fine for NON-ERMS emails.
There is some trick to make the generated ERMS workitens be shown in the IC Web Client Inbox?

You will NOT be able to get the workitems created by the standard ERMS wokflow (WS00200001) into your inbox, because SAP's assumption is that ERMS precisely replaces manual inbox assignment work by some automation (Response Management).
Even if you add the ERMS task 207914 in transaction CRMC_IC_AUICOMM, this configuration will be made inactive by the workitem search-engine. You can observe this in method CL_CRM_IC_AUI_WI->IF_GENIL_SO_HANDLER~GET_LIST, around line 210:
read table lt_wflows with key object = co_erms_email_task into ls_wflows.
if ls_wflows is not initial.
delete table lt_wflows with table key object = co_erms_email_task.
endif.
If you still want to see ERMS WIs in your inbox, make a copy of WF WS00200001; in copy, replace task 207914 with your own one, that you add in trx CRMC_IC_AUICOMM. Deactivate triggering event of WF WS00200001; activate triggering event of your own one. No changes in SO28 necessary.
But you may then think about what should happen when one wants to postprocess an ERMS WI displayed in inbox; because some ERMS processing may already have taken place: incoming e-mail may already have been linked automatically to an existing service ticket. You should then support easy navigation to that ticket, and forbid e-mail is linked again manually.

first i want to explain my configuration :
we have a oracle datawarehouse on ip:1 unix machine. and our ODI server (and oracle database, i mean our repositories are on this machine not the warehouse )is on another windows machine which ip : 2 ..
and i have a ODI client on my local pc(windows)..
I want to transfer a few txt files from another ftp machine which ip :3 to the datawarehouse ( ip:1) ..and schedule this senario..
about my question :
i can do all of this :
when i'm working with ODI Studio on ODI server machine ( ip :2 ) i can get files from ftp (ip:3 ) to server machine (ip:2 ) (with odiftpget), i can use a package to load data from file to oracle table on the ip:2 machine again..
but i want to do the same things without save files on the ODI server, i want to load data to datawarehouse oracle tables.( ip :1 )
we have a standalone agent on the ODI windows machine (ip:2)
the question is how can i transfer the txt files from 3 to 1 ( from ftp to dataware house ) without saving files in my local machine or ODI server machine.. is that about the agents and do i have to install an agent on the datawarehouse machine (ip :1 )..
thanks ..ok. thanks . but how can i instal an agent on ip:1 machine... do i have to run odi setup.exe and select just stanalone agent for ip:1 machine after than create an physical and logical agent on ODI studio and select the ip:1 macihes's host and port than start the agent on ip:1 machine ( configure the odiparams etc.. )
