Hi,
Yes, the previous multi-line behavior still holds true for Finesse in 10.5. The ICD extension has to be on any of the first four button positions on the phone. The current documentation is misleading and I will get it corrected via CSCuq21447. I double checked by testing this on Finesse in 10.5 as follows:
1. ICD extension in button position 1 - Login successful
2. ICD extension in button position 4 - Login successful
3. ICD extension in button position 5 - Login unsuccessful
Reference CSCue57581, CSCtw68030 and CSCtj08709 still apply.
Let me know if you have other questions.
Thanks,
Ryan

  • UCCX ver 10 Release Date?

    Hello,
I don't know if this is allowed in here specifically, but I wanted to find out more about 10, it's release date and key implementations and retirements. We're soon to be upgrading from version 7 which is about to be retired and no longer supported with version 9 in mind.
First when is the release going to happen
Second what are the key new features and retirements
Third - would it be best to wait for 10 if it's going to release sooner than later?
Thank you, I greatly appreciate your responses.

No, no experience really.  WFO is still the means of compliance and quality recording/reporting.  UCCX 10 now supports Media Sense.
"It supports Unified Communications Manager-based silent monitoring and workflow-based recording with MediaSense and Work Force Optimization (WFO)."

  • When is a message considered as received when using Near Field Communication?

    Hi there!
I'm using Near Field Communication(NFC) in my app(it's a game) and I just want to send very simple messages so the regular NFC tap suffices.
I've read the documentation and went through the proximity sample and I understand what I've to do to make this work, so no problems so far.
The thing I'm struggeling with is the following: I would like to send a message using NFC to a particular player in my game.
Two players are connected to each other and only those two should be supposed to be able to send messages to each other using NFC.
These messages do not contain any secret information so I can use the "Windows." format as tag to subscribe to and send messages with.
I came up with the idea to subscribe for a tag that's basically your userId and publish messages with a tag that consists out of your opponents user_id. All of that works fine the thing is, I use the MessageTransmitedHandler and MessageReceivedHandler, the
one is raised when you've succesfully transmited the message and the other one when you've received a message.
These callback functions make sure that you only send a message once and receive it once by using the StopPublishingMessage and StopSubscribingForMessage functions. And here's the catch, I only want to call these functions if you actually "consume"
the message you receive! And stop publishing a message when the correct opponent received it.(This is to make sure that if multiple users are in the same room for example that only the one's related to each other can tap each other's devices).
Right now the callback function will always stop publishing the message, or subscribing to a message even if you tapped the wrong user.
I'm not 100% sure but I do believe this is because the callback function is called no matter if the other device really "consumed' the message.
So my question is, is there a way to determine if the opposing side actually "consumed' the message? If there's no built in function for this(which I think there isn't after I went through the documentation) do you guys have any idea how I could achieve
    the behaviour I want?
I hope my message isn't too confusing, if it's feel free to indicate that and I'll try to clarify those parts.
    Thanks in advance!
    My best regards
    Jan

Proximity is a great way for users on tow devices to share your app experience and data. You can establish a connection between two peer apps at one time as I know. This quickstart describe it in detail,
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/xaml/hh465205.aspx. If one user want to communicate with a third user, his app need to connect to that one first.
If I'm not mistaken this sets up a WiFi or Bleutooth connection, I'm not really looking for that since the message I wish to send is really really short and NFC is perfect for it. It seems like a hassle to me to set up such a peer to peer connection just to
be able to identify if the message has been received by the correct user.

  • NFC "Near Field Communication" ?

A buddy of mine has a Nexus Tablet, he is annoying me by continually telling me how much better it is than my iPad2 !!!!!!
The latest thing he tells me about is his Nexus has NFS "Near Field Communication" where he can transfer photos (for example) from one Nexus to another simply by bumping them together !!!.
I dont believe my iPad2 is this clever, but can it be done with iPad3
They do a similar thing with Sony TV's and Sony Mobile Phones.

Rudegar, but this BUMP  has got to be the next thing
Bump has been around for two or three years. Unlike simply emailing (something every smart phone is able to do) to send a file, Bump requires that both parties have the app. And, despite having been around for years, I've met very few people who have it installed. So, by the time they download it, they already have the file I emailed them. If it works for you, that's great. But, for me, it's always seemed like a solution in search of a problem.
    Best of luck.

    Hi George,
    Thanks for posting!
Version 10.0 will not support SRTP and still only interacts with CUCM via CTI-QBE/JTAPI for call signaling. There is direct integration between UCCX and a SIP gateway for outbound, but as soon as the call is answered, it is transferred to CUCM to flow via CTI to UCCX. For now, there is no alternative signaling method and UCCX will not act as a SIP endpoint or B2B UA.
For the certificate question, can you clarify on which specific certificates you're looking for? Tomcat now generates a 2048 bit Certificate Signing Request (CSR) as of 9.0(1) and 8.0(2)SU4 per CSCtr47906. UCCX version 10 will use a lot more certificates, from SocialMiner web-chat, Finesse (both Tomcat and Notification Service for XMPP), MediaSense for tagging, but this mostly uses the Tomcat certificates on the UCCX and MediaSense nodes and certificates that need to be installed on UCCX are stored in the tomcat-trust store.
If you can clarify the request a little bit more, I may be able to provide a better answer.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

  • Release Straetgy Communication Structure CEBAN-KOSTL

My characteristics for ost centres are not link to coomminucation structure CEBAN_KOSTL and it is link to CSKSZ-KOSTL. Can someone please explain to me how the communication strcuture works. I tried to link it to CEBAN-KOSTL, but the strategy is still not coming up. Do I first have to create the cost centres inside the structure CEBAN-KOSTL before I link the cost centres to it. Please explain to me what a communication stratudture is and how I can use it to make my release strategy work, which is based on the cost centre and not on the amount. Right now it pulls strategies based on the amount and not cost centre.
    Please I need help urgently.

    Hi Chariold,
CEBAN is the communication structure for PR release.  SAP basically copies the data from EBAN (transparent table that stores PR data) to this structure.  You can also add your own fields to CEBAN.  In the release strategy characteristics (CT04), you have to link the cost centre field to CEBAN not CSKSZ ( which is the cost centre master data table) and not passed to the release process during PR creation.
In CT04 when you define the characteristics, under tab 'Value' you can define the cost centres that can be used in the releas strategy.
Alternatively, you can just enter the value directly in the release strategy and SAP will add that value to the list.  In this case though, no validation is performed.
    Phyllis.

    Hello all,
Does someone install the last service release on UCCX 7 SR3 cluster. The service release is available since the 22th of septembre.
With SR3, I have some issues on historical report. Some filters are not working properly.
    Many thanks for your reply,

I tried to do it without any SR, but i have the following error:

  • UCCX-webchat and social media communication

    Dear Team,
I have a client with UCCX version 10. They are looking for a new set up, Customer should access contact center via call, web portal and social media. Through call is working fine. Now they want to implement the web chat and social media communication. Can any one advise, how to configure web chat and social media communication ?. .
    license-Premium

    Hi,
When you click on Chat, the notification is passed to the Social Miner. The feed on the Social Miner checks for the new notification and creates a contact in the campaign that is sent to CCX. CCX has the Route and Queue subsystem which will check for an agent with the Chat Ready and will route the contact to the particular agent. The agent then joins the Chat room and the connection is established.

  • UCCX 9 DB Get Field Selection

Hello Everyone.   I'm trying to add field from DB Get.   It seems to picking up Variable for "java.lang.String".  However, when I tried to add  "java.math.BigDecimal", it does not show any selection for the variable Name to store... This is for a customer to call in and enter his/her Acct number then, it will give an opiton to check their payment balance.
Could someone help me what steps I'm missing?
    Thank you so much
    Nana

Hi Anthony and everyone who is reading this.
By accident, I found out that somehow I have to use "double" data type instead of "float".  I had a TAC case opened but he said if UCCX does not recognized the data type from SQL DB,
"The best way as far as uccx side is see the type of information that you are using and try different variables that seem to match that data type until you get the correct one. That really is the only way."
it sounds like bug to me but TAC is telling me that is not bug...  If you can see the   from SQL, the "CurrentBalance" is showing as float.  I also checked with our DB guy and he confirmed that is correct data type.  But when I try to get the data, i have to change data type to double.  Lucky me, I accidentally find out double worked... My concern is if UCCX does not recognize the data type from SQL, then, how do I know what to select...   What do you guys think?
    SQL
Field Selection  - When I use double, UCCX recognize but if I use float, it does not...

  • UCCX 8.5: UUI field

    Hi all,
just a quick question (not for me as I have lack od knowledge on UCCX)
We have to redirect a call from UCCX to an external resource, via ISDN. As the ISDN is the only connection provided, we have to transfer some information in the UsertoUserInformation field (is. call identification or key, ANI,...).
Is it possible to populate the UUI and to send the information through the network untill the ISDN target (or ISDN voice gateway)?
    Regards
    Mario

    Hi,
    thank you for your response.
    About your answer.
Using CCM I am not sure that is possible to define and set a global key, thatis used to correlate the calls sent to ISDN external devices
We cannot use ip as the requirement is to have a ISDN between the UCCX an external devices (outsourcer not integrated for instance). UUI is used to send some information and a correlation key generated inside UCCX.
I was thinking to use IVR script. Do you know if it is possible to set UUI field and if it content is mantained in the SIP header for the outgoing call?
    Thanks
    Mario

  • 13.56 MHz Near Field Communications

    Hi,
this new 13.56 MHz NFC which is suppposed to be "complementary" to Bluetooth. Does that mean we can use the Bluetooth API for communicating via NFC? Or is it part of the JavaCard APIs, or has nothing been developed yet that supports NFC in Java?

No there is nothing for NFC in Java ... still no API ....
    But there will be.
Additionally - NFC is considered as a Bluetooth "enabler" - but this is not the original intention of it. NFC can support everything what flies on the 13.56 carrier (ISO14443, Felica, mifare and ECMA340)
But I'm sure there will be new topic for this.

User, can you give us a bit more info about the concrete use case?
In general the is nothing in the current version which helps you with this. However you can use any other application or native device which supports this. ADF Mobile uses phone gap to access devices of the phone, so in general if the phone supports this you should be able to use it in ADF Mobile too.
