UCCX 4.0 AD Integration

Guys,
Does any know where the cluster configuration is stored when Microsoft AD is used as the LDAP server for IPCCX 4.X.
Pls I need this very urgently

Per the 4.0 Admin Guide;
The LDAP server stores information about the cluster in a cluster profile. A
cluster profile is an LDAP Organizational Unit that contains a set of LDAP
entries, which include data relating to the Cisco CRS servers, components, and
licenses installed in a cluster. A cluster profile allows the use of the same LDAP
entries for multiple servers.
So you should have an OU in your LDAP that has the cluster information.
If you need the Admin guide let me know.

    Dear Networkers,
    We have UCCX 7.0 installed.
When openeing the CAD Desktop Workfow Admin > select the default workflow> CAD Agent > User Interface
We can't find the "Browser Setup" tab so that we can enable the integrated browser !
For CAD-BE we could find the tab, but for CAD Agent we could not !
    It's really strange !
    Can you please advise ?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi ,
Could you attach the screenshot of the same? What license you have for UCCX?
Integrated multitabbed browser comes only with UCCX Premium licensing package.
Please refer the "Table 1.Feature Content for Cisco Agent Desktop Software Packages" in the below link.

  • UCCX integration with subscriber

    Hi,
We have CUCM publisher implemented in MCS server in site 1, we have CUCM subscriber in site 2 which is in UCS server, can we install UCCX in site 2 integrating with subscriber,if I have enough system resources in UCS server, let me know whether it is feasible or we have any challenges.
    Thanks,
    Baskar.

    Hi Baskar,
Having a mix of UCS and MCS servers is not a problem, having a UCCX to the sub at site 2 should be OK as well as long as the RTT is less than 80ms between CUCM servers.
I found this doc that talks a little bit about what happens when there is a WAN outage, in their scenario they have a UCCX HA over the wan which does not seem to be your case but still has some good stuff.

    Hi Anthony,
    Thanks for the question.
This is an interesting requirement, since the UCCX trigger's configuration is translated only to the Call Forward Busy External setting on the CUCM.

As you would aready know, the UCCX will send an AXL request (within the SOAP envelope) to the CUCM to create this RP. Looking at the existing code, there does not seem to be a method where we are differentiating between CFB_internal and CFB_external while sending this request.
We have taken this as an enhancement request and also spoken to the business unit about the same. It has been added to the roadmap, we will reach out to you offline to understand the business case so that the process can be expedited if needed.
    Keep the questions coming

  • UCCX 9.01 Language Update Time

    Hey guys
I have installed UCCX 9.01 and integrated it with  UCCM 9.1
But in Language Page it takes forever to update, How much time does it take for it to go to next step ?
Does any one have any idea Why this happens ?
P.S: I tried any Browser since Iv'e found a link about firefox problem in SupportCommunity, I didn't press next button multiple times, and I tried any default language
    My VM Specification:
    Hard:150
    RAM:6 GiG
    CPU: 2*2
    I'll appreciate any help

Same issue. Running XP Pro SP3 with all updates. 2 GB RAM AMD Athlon-64 3500+ CPU.
It is especially bad when using the Web Mailer Notifier 2.8.3 plugin (http://webmailnotifier.mozdev.org/) where the browser becomes paralyzed and after maybe 20-30 seconds, it responds to a mouse click, but then freezes again.
I also tried uninstalling Java, Flash, Shockwave & reinstalling each; disabling all plugins, clearing the Tools==>Recent History & also Tools==> Options==> Advanced==> Network tab==>Clear Now Cache.
Also reverted back to version 8.01 I got from here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-8.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US which gives no problems, again upgraded to 9.01 and same useless freezing problem.
I'm sticking with Version 8.01 and disabling auto update by Tools==> Options==> Advanced==> Update tab==>"Ask Me What I Want To Do" option.

  • CCX 8.0 IPCC Extensions Missing

    All:
I recently replaced a failed CUCM Publisher (the CUCM had no subscribers) which was integrated with CCX. Both are running 8.x
The replacement CUCM Publisher was manually configured with same phones, users, App users, etc.
It does not show the IPCC Extension field for the agents.
I ran Data Resync on CCX AppAdmin, no luck. The users are associated to their phones, and the phones are associated to the RMCM JTAPI account.
    Suggestions?
    Steve
Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App

    Hi Steve,
Inorder to see the IPCC extension , UCCX needs to be integrated with this new CUCM.
Please try creating a new JTAPI and RmCm Application users one more time, you will see the IPCC extensions.
Also remember to associate the Agent Phones to RmCm application users and perform the Data Resync operation just to make sure that everything is proper.
    Hope this helps.

  • UCCX 7.0.1SR5 to 8.0 upgrade while also adding LDAP integration for CUCM - what happens to agents and Historical Reporting data?

    Current State:
    •    I have a customer running CUCM 6.1 and UCCX 7.01SR5.  Currently their CUCM is *NOT* LDAP integrated and using local accounts only.  UCCX is AXL integrated to CUCM as usual and is pulling users from CUCM and using CUCM for login validation for CAD.
    •    The local user accounts in CUCM currently match the naming format in active directory (John Smith in CUCM is jsmith and John Smith is jsmith in AD)
    Goal:
    •    Upgrade software versions and migrate to new hardware for UCCX
    •    LDAP integrate the CUCM users
Desired Future State and Proposed Upgrade Method
Using the UCCX Pre Upgrade Tool (PUT), backup the current UCCX 7.01 server.
Then during a weekend maintenance window……
    •    Upgrade the CUCM cluster from 6.1 to 8.0 in 2 step process
    •    Integrate the CUCM cluster to corporate active directory (LDAP) - sync the same users that were present before, associate with physical phones, select the same ACD/UCCX line under the users settings as before
    •    Then build UCCX 8.0 server on new hardware and stop at the initial setup stage
    •    Restore the data from the UCCX PUT tool
    •    Continue setup per documentation
At this point does UCCX see these agents as the same as they were before?
Is the historical reporting data the same with regards to agent John Smith (local CUCM user) from last week and agent John Smith (LDAP imported CUCM user) from this week ?
I have the feeling that UCCX will see the agents as different almost as if there is a unique identifier that's used in addition to the simple user name.
We can simplify this question along these lines
Starting at the beginning with CUCM 6.1 (local users) and UCCX 7.01.  Let's say the customer decided to LDAP integrate the CUCM users and not upgrade any software.
If I follow the same steps with re-associating the users to devices and selecting the ACD/UCCX extension, what happens?
I would guess that UCCX would see all the users it knew about get deleted (making them inactive agents) and the see a whole group of new agents get created.
What would historical reporting show in this case?  A set of old agents and a set of new agents treated differently?
Has anyone run into this before?
Is my goal possible while keeping the agent configuration and HR data as it was before?

I was doing some more research looking at the DB schema for UCCX 8.
Looking at the Resource table in UCCX, it looks like there is primary key that represents each user.
My question, is this key replicated from CUCM or created locally when the user is imported into UCCX?
How does UCCX determine if user account jsmith in CUCM, when it’s a local account, is different than user account jsmith in CUCM that is LDAP imported?
Would it be possible (with TAC's help most likely) to edit this field back to the previous values so that AQM and historical reporting would think the user accounts are the same?
    Database table name: Resource
The Unified CCX system creates a new record in the Resource table when the Unified CCX system retrieves agent information from the Unified CM.
A Resource record contains information about the resource (agent). One such record exists for each active and inactive resource. When a resource is deleted, the old record is flagged as inactive; when a resource is updated, a new record is created and the old one is flagged as inactive.

It looks like server name does not match. IBM call it the server name. In the Microsoft world you would call it the instance name.
Login to the CLI on CCX and do a "show status" make a note of the host name. Using the following to convert the host name to the server name. If you have a HA CCX then each server will have its own server name.
Enter the instance name of the primary Unified CCX
database. When typing the database instance name,
    use the following guidelines:
    ■ Convert all uppercase characters to lowercase
    characters
    ■ Replace all hyphens with underscores
    ■ If the host name starts with a number, add the
    prefix i
    ■ Append _uccx to complete the instance name
For example, if your host name is 80-ABC, your instance
    name will be i80_abc_uccx.

  • UCCX 8.5: CSQ Name Displayed in CAD Integrated Broswer?

    Cisco Forum:
Can UCCX 8.5 for the Cisco Agent Desktop (CAD) provide the CSQ Name in the Integrated Broswer portion of the CAD?  That is, the CAD can be used to pop a web link to agents on incoming calls.  While the CAD can show the CSQ Name by default, it does so in a reasonable small font amid other data.  Can some call script variable be set for the CSQ Name which would then be used to dynamically pop a unique web link on CAD Integrated Browser which would then display whatever is configured as a web link to display?
As an alternative, can agents using the CAD also have a IP Phone display of the CSQ Name.
Thank you for your comments and suggestions.
    Dan

Before you can pass the CSQ name to the integrated browser you must first have the script pass the CSQ name to the CAD. It needs to show in the top left panel where the ANI is currently displayed.
See this link for an example of how to create a layout and the script changes to pass a value to CAD.
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3478154#3478154
You can then build a dynamic URL in the desktop administrator with the CSQ name.

  • UCCX Integration with ITSM Tool

    Dear
We are running Cisco UCCX 8.5 in our environment. We are in process of integrate the ticketing system with Contact Centre.
Our developer needs to develop connector between Agent and Heat Service Management to get data depend on Caller ID
When phone rings, we need to get caller id to show popup screen with customer data and history from our system
how CISCO help us with this issue to get caller id by service or api.
Kindly suggest the best way to do it or if anyone has done it please guide us.
    Regards
    M Taha

There are a few ways of doing it but you should be aware that most of these are due to be deprecated when Cisco replaces CAD with Finesse, a browser-based OpenSocial UI. A specific timeline for this is not publicly available; you can speak with your Cisco AM/SE to get additional details. It is not yet clear which integration options will exist through Finesse. Almost all of these options require Premium licensing.
Send an HTTP GET/POST event from within the AEF script. You would need to adjust your Select Resource parameter Connect = no. This would change the Connected branch to a Selected branch. You need to embed a Connect step within it; however, you can add HTTP steps prior to that which can push a URL containing the agent username and the caller ID for example. This has the advantage of making CAD irelevent.
Utilizing CAD gives you several additional options. These are explained in detail in the CDA User Guide (starting around page 97)
Send an Inter-Process Call event to the other local application
Run a keystroke macro to copy and paste variable data into another window.
Launch an external application (including command-line switch options)
Send an HTTP GET/POST message using the CAD Integrated browser

  • Integrating UCCX with Presence - Unable to Add Users to Contacts List

    Hi,
I'm trying to integrate UCCX with Presence via the Desktop Administrator. I have created an enduser (LDAP Sync) and assigned the user a Service Profile which includes the Directory UC Service for LDAP, have tried both LDAP and GC configuration.
I can make the connection the Presence Cluster, validation works. However I'm hitting the "CDAUI2067 Search did not complete successfully, and only partial results are displayed. Contact technical support." When trying to add users to the Contact List. Seems like the BUG ID CSCtg94342? However there is no reference to this bug id for UCCX 10.0 only 7.1
Has anyone successfully integrated UCCX 10 with IMP10? If so, please advise the UC Service/Profile configuration for the End User.
    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
when configured Client type CAD, I didn't uncheck Version Check Required.
Now I can complete configuration in Cisco Desktop Administration, but when I try to login with CAD client I cannot login to the Presence server - the following message appears:
"An error has occurred communicating with the Cisco Unified Presence Service.
The application will automatically continue attempting to connect."
In log file I found the following "2014-12-05 09:24:23:450 ERROR STD2001 Client <SawConnectionManager> failed to connect to any service." instead of eg. "INFO STD2004 Client <SawConnectionManager> connected to service at <cup1.dcloud.cisco.com>."
Does anybody have any idea what could be the problem?
    Thanks,
    Milan

if you mean that pressing the Test button returns 0 in the "Number of rows returned" field, it's perfectly normal.
Does the subsequent DB Get step return anything?

  • Integrated phone in CAD UCCX version 8

    Hi All
I seem to remember something about an integrated phone in new CAD version for a release of UCCX version 8. From some presentation.
I just can't find any thing about it. Can any one help me to locate info or correct me.

According to the CCX 8.0 CAD User guide, CAD works with IP Communicator, but then it always has. Also there is a mention about Dial Pad being modeless now, seems that it can stay on top.
You have never needed a hard phone if you have a IP Comm phone. This is what I do for remote work all the time.
    Hope this helps.

  • Has anyone had to create a WSDL for the UCCX API integration?

We are struggling with creating a WSDL for the UCCX API for integration with an external webservice, as the UCCX isn't a true webservice.  Has anyone created a WSDL for this type of integration?  Thanks!

Thank you Gergely!  I don't think I worded this very well.  We have an http trigger that accepts several parameters from the client (see screenshot for example).  The http trigger works with several other scripts and uses the UCCX API to manage an outbound IVR campaign.
They are asking us for a WSDL for this interaction.  We explained that this is not a true webservice; it is a simple POST but we wanted to put it out to the community to see if anyone had any insight/ideas.  Thank you again for always taking the time to respond!
