UCCX (7.0) Servers gets stuck

We have UCCX 7.0 in HA mode, one of the server (Primary or Secondary) gets stuck and we have to hard reboot the system and then it comes back to naormal. During this phase CRS administration page on that particular server does not open and even we can't access that particular server through remote desktop. What could be possible reason for this issue.

Hi Anand,
As already mentioned that during this state the machine is no more accessilbe through remote desktop and if by any chance we get into it through remote desktop then the response of this machine is so slow that we can't open anything even task manager.
During this state I have checked on 2nd node through UCCX admin; all the services on the problematic machine were up. Last time when we had this issue on Primary node; i uploaded a prompt through UCCX admin on 2nd node and IVR was not playing that prompt. I did a hard reset of Primary node then IVR started playing that particular prompt; it looks like that replication between servers also stops during this state.
Could you identify the location of MCVD\MIVR logs; may be we can find something in these logs.

  • Virtualized servers get stuck at "Shutting down Windows Modules Installer service ..."

    Hi,
I have a Windows 2008 R2 (no service pack) server that has been virtualized last summer and since then:
    - Windows Update does not download any updates (it says Cancelled for every update in the Update History)
    - When I reboot the vm, it gets stuck on "Shutting down Windows Modules Installer service ..." and I have to cold-Reset the vm to get it working again.
I tried running Windows Update Standalone Installer (Windows6.1-KB947821-v20-x64.msu) on the machine, but that gets stuck on "searching for updates"...
I tried stopping the Windows Update service but that doesn't work either, it says that the service is not responding...
I'm not sure what to try next, I'd appreciate any pointers.
    Thanks a lot,
    Guillaume

    Hi,

    b. Right-click the "windows Updates" service.
    c. Click "Stop". The service will take a moment to stop.
    2.rename this folder(renamed to oldsoftwaredistruibution)
    3. Start the windosw Updates service. To do this, follow these steps
    a. Click "Start", click "Run", type "services.msc" (without the quotation marks), and then click "OK".
    b. Right-click the "Automatic Updates" service, and then click "Start".
The service will take a moment to start and the folder will be recreated when you try to visit windows update site. You can then delete the folder.
After all, try to see whether your AU is functioning.

  • Some Journaled Calendar Requests get stuck in Submission queue - 550 5.6.0 - storage error in content conversion

I am having an issue on hub transport servers running Exchange 2010 SP3 RU6.
Where some journaled meeting request related messages (acceptances, etc.) get stuck in the Submission queue.
    The error is:
400 4.4.7 The server responded with: 550 5.6.0 M2MCVT.StorageError; storage error in content conversion. The failure was replaced by a retry response because the message was marked for retry if rejected.
I raised the issue with our mail archiving vendor and they indicated this was an Exchange Server problem which should have been fixed in Exchange 2010 SP3 RU3, however we are running SP3 RU6 and the issue continues to occur.
I realize that we could just delete the stuck messages from queue but has anyone run in to this before and know how to prevent it from happening?
    Thank You.

    Hi Mike,
If you temporary disable\bypass third party Archiving , then what happens in the Queue.
    Thanks , Prakash

  • Help with e-mail getting stuck in Mail outbox

I recently ran into a problem where all the e-mails I tried to send in Mail got stuck in my outbox and were not sent.  After reading posts on the Apple Support Communities website and doing some troubleshooting of my own within Mail, I reached a solution to the problem. When I first realized I could not send e-mail using a certain e-mail account of mine, since all e-mails were getting stuck in the outbox folder, I checked my available servers.  I did this by opening the preferences window, clicking on the accounts tab, then clicking on the outgoing server pull-down menu.  In the pull-down, I saw that the server I wanted to use was listed as "offline."  To fix this problem and get the server back online so that I could send e-mail (as I could with my other account that was not listed as "offline"), I selected the outgoing server pull-down once again.  In the menu, I selected "edit server list."  On the page that pops up afterward, I highlighted the server I wanted to use.  This way, I could see the information associated with the server.  With this information in front of me, I realized that for some reason there was no password entered in the password field even though the "Authentication" setting was set to password.  I entered my password associated with the e-mail account I was having problems with and "walla."  The server was back online.  I could send e-mails again without them getting stuck in the outbox!
This problem popped out all of a sudden for me and got me quite frustrated.  I hope that this brief walk-through helps out some people out there having a similar issue.  Best of luck!

That's one of the best walkthrough's i've read, thankyou!
However, I often have email stuck in the out box. And that's not comfortable… or good for communicating to clients.
In the hope that this may help someone:
    Internet Connection Problem
A bit random but I found that by keeping an eye on the networked computers or the Dropbox icon tells me the health of my network or the internet connection that's causing a problem and all of the time, it's the Ethernet.
If networked computers are up and on the internet, but my PM isn't:
    Solution:
    1) Refresh the DHCP license.
    2) Switch off the ethernet under system preferences/network then switch on again to refresh the IP addres.
Every time I do this, I find Apple Mail reconnecting straight away. I don't know why this happens.

  • Email messages getting stuck in Outbox

I have regular problems with my sent emails getting stuck in my Outbox when using verizon.net mail.   The problem only occurs with verizon.net and only on my tablet (Nexus 7), not on my PC.   Both are on same wireless network so I don't think it is due to interruption in connection.   Is there some adjustment I need to make?

Gmail is a deliberately broken implementation of IMAP that often causes problems with Mail. The problem seems to have gotten worse in Mavericks. Google has no incentive to make Gmail work well with any mail client, because the company makes money by delivering targeted ads via the Web. The Gmail servers analyze your messages to gather information about you and your contacts that Google can then sell to marketers, or to anyone who will pay for it. You agreed to those terms when you registered a Gmail address. The marketers—not Gmail users—are Google's customers and the ones it aims to please.
I suggest either not to use Gmail at all, or to access it through the website as Google intends. You might get better results with another email client. I don't recommend any one in particular.

  • JMS Messages getting stuck in queues

    Hi,
I am facing this peculiar issue with queue messages not getting picked up.
Application Architecture: There is 1 JMS queue ( which resides in WLDomain1 with in a Unix Box) and there are 2 windows boxes having 2 weblogic domains each with 3 instances of MDB deployed on each of the domains. So total of 12 consumers (2 Box * 2 Domain * 3 Instances of MDB) listens to the JMS queue.
Issue: After bringing everything up I am able to see 12 consumer count listening to the queue. But when I run the application which writes total of 13 messages in the queue only 7 of them are getting processed and 6 messages are always getting stuck in the queues. Interestingly this 7 messages are mostly getting processed by consumers with in the same windows box. And the selection of windows box is completely random. To confirm whether both the windows boxes are configured fine I tried to test them individually and it works fine individually, the problem happens only if I bring up both the boxes together.
Another observation is, if I bring down the non working domains, the pending messages start getting processed by the working domains. It gives an impression that the non working domains seem to lock the messages for processing but doesn't actually process it. Only when I bring down the domains it releases this lock.
Below is the JMS Life cycle events I captured from log files :

    Hi,
The problem may be conflicting names in your configuration. To ensure proper operation of WL Security, JMS, JTA, and JDBC, make sure that (A) each domain has a unique name, and (B) no two WebLogic servers have the same name (even if in two different domains).
To ensure a more even distribution of messages, either simply send more than a token amount messages (eg, a hundred or so, rather than just 12), or configure a custom connection factory on the domain that hosts the queue, reduce MessagesMaximum on the connection factory to 1, and then modify each MDB to refer to the custom connection factory. The MessagesMaximum setting controls the number of messages that can be pre-pushed (pipelined) to a single asynchronous consumer.
For more information see "Best Practices for JMS Beginners and Advanced Users" in the latest versions of the JMS admin guide, and "JMS Performance & Tuning Check List" in the WebLogic Performance and Tuning guide.

ollowing problem: I have around 600 contacts on my iphone and Ipad and would like to sync with contact list on my mac book air but its not working and whatever I do I get stuck on the 44 contacts I have on my mac  contact-list. Please Help!!!!  thanks

First, be sure that the contacts on the devices are in the "icloud" section and not the "On my iPhone" (or iPad) section of the contact listings/groups.
    Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page.  If most of them are gone, then they are gone.
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud.  Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID.  If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost.  Then log back in using the correct ID.  ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note:  Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers.   So performing a restore will not help.
    Contacts are gone from icloud.com.
Then they have been deleted.  There are many reasons for this.  One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device.  How to get them back?  Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases.  Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac).  Just restore the data files back to the computer.  Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone.

  • IPad3 gets stuck in acceptance dialogue box when update iOs 8.1 software

iPad3 gets stuck in acceptance dialogue box when update iOs 8.1 software
software is downloaded but doesn't install; how to solve this?

    Hello soccerlime,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The error code "9006" in iTunes when updating or restoring your device indicates that access to the iTunes update servers is being blocked.  Please take a look at the information below to help resolve this error.
    Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.
Resolve iOS update and restore errors
    Take care,
    Alex H.

  • I can't get my I pad to send mail, gets stuck in outbox

My I pad mail won't send, gets stuck in outbox

Yes, i have same problems with Hotmail account, my ipad don't sync the hotmail account, i received the message like...server error, please contact your administrator....and i didn' see the folders and all emails.
The Icloud account and icloud email working in good conditiona, so, i belive that the likn between apple and microsoft is broken.
On Android and windows so, i have exchange config. For hotmail, all is ok, working in good conditions, the hotmail webpage with email is good, working. I have the problem only on ipad, configure from mail-hotmail account, not with exchange servere.
Now, i desactivate the account and activate again, same problems, now i don't see any emails, any folders, nothing to see. Icloud email still working very good, configured on same device.

  • Emails getting "stuck" in Outbox

IOS 8.02, iPhone 4S (but also happens with iPad2).
I keep sending emails and they get "stuck", don't send, and end up in Outbox folder. I have to  open them, re-address them (original addresses are gone) and try to send again.  Often takes 2 or 3 times.
Happens under cellphone data with great signal and also under home strong wifi.
Little wheel spins a long time in upper left.  Seems to happen most with larger emails.  Seems to happen most with my work Exchange account (but work checked their servers- apparently OK).
All started with IOS8.  Appreciate any help -thanks !

I am getting the exact same problem on my iPad3.
Using it at home via wifi, and this morning I tried to send my first email since I upgraded it from iOS 7.x to 8.0.2 (12A405). I have checked the configuration of my mail account server and it does use SMTP Authentication, but does not appear to use encryption. In my email client (Claws-Mail under Linux) settings indicate that the system is using port 25 for SMTP and 110 for POP3.
iOS8 must have changed something in it's configuration settings with respect to sending emails. Is it possible that it now attempts to force use of encryption? If so, where would I look to see if that option can be disabled?
It is almost certain that this defect was introduced with iOS8 - nothing else on my iPad has changed apart from this upgrade.

  • HT1211 I cannot set up FaceTime or install new iOS as my iPad keeps getting stuck on a verifying status ... Help please ???

New iPad 3 .. Set it up .. Downloaded a few apps and it was fine .. Tried to use FaceTime and set it up but it won't .. Keeps saying unable to as I need to verify from an email they send .. Have not received a single email .. Then tried to update software as I had a notification and the iPad keeps getting stuck on a screen that says verifying and then it says unable to connect to the Internet but my Internet is working perfectly fine as I am typing this now and I have downloaded apps .. Also my date and time are on automatic update if the helps .. Please help somebody ???

I certainly can't say for certain, but there are a number of discussions going on right now about not being able to activate or update the iOS so it seems that there is a feeling that the Apple servers could be the problem.
I have no idea how one could possibly confirm that,

  • ITunes Match gets stuck on Step 1: Gathering information

For about 2 months now (that I noticed) my iTunes Match doesn't work...it gets stuck on Step 1: Gathering information and keeps cycling and never gets to step 2.
I have to STOP the Matching.... click STORE>Turn off iTunes Match
then.. STORE>Turn on iTunes Match.. re-add my computer.. and then it works properly.
Anything wrong with my settings or is this a known issue/bug that will be fixed in a future release?
    Overall I'm satisfied with Match....
    Thanks,
    David Murphy

This should fix it (hopefully you'll only have to do steps 1 and 2):
    1. If you are using wireless networking, try connecting directly to your modem with a cable. Connections to the iTunes servers are a bit on the sensitive side and the occasional glitch can throw off matching if it has a lot of work to do. I have a "perfect" setup so I initially dismissed that as a solution (or part of one), but it does make a difference. Once it's working correctly you can switch back to a wireless connection and it should be fine from there.
    2. In iTunes, hold down the Option key (or the Shift key if you're using Windows) while you click Store, Turn Off iTunes Match. Hold down the same key again and close iTunes. Since there may be some things cached, restart your computer. Open iTunes and Turn On iTunes Match again.
    3. If Match does not complete, try a couple more times just to be sure. Note that Match completing doesn't mean everything is done - some changes trickle back over time, but it should report success.
    4. If you still have problems, you can do a complete reset by contacting Apple's iTunes Store team and ask them to cancel your Match subscription and refund it so that you can purchase and start Match again from scratch. Wait until your iTunes account shows the credit before doing this (just to be sure the entire cancellation process on the Apple side has completed).
I hope this works for you - it did for me and it's so nice to have it working perfectly.

  • I have a 5s everday at 3:20 pm it get stucks then it restarts . and plus i got my iphone fromm apple store

i have a 5s everday at 3:20 pm it get stucks then it restarts . and plus i got my iphone fromm apple store

IF you are getting no messages period - not just no iMessages - then it is very likely a carrier issue. It is AT&T and not the phone. SMS travels via the carrier wave used to make phone calls - iMessages use data and go through Apple servers as you know
If you are getting no messages at all - then I wonder if your cell service is ok or if you are in an area of strong signal - then does your SIM card need to be looked at

  • Cisco CAD getting Stuck

    Hi Team,
Agents has reported that when the incoming calls comes, they are not receiving the notifcation(pop up for incoming call) and Cisco CAD getting stuck.
Highly appreciate if some one can help on this...
    UCCX version-7.0(1)SR05
    Warm Regards,
    Sanoop

Does this always happen, or just occassionally?
Usually when this happens, you've got an agent selected, but don't have the connect option specified in the select resource step and never added the step in the script to connect the caller through.
Another thing that can cause this is if your script allows the script to "leave" the queued logic of the select resource step.  If that's happening, it will cause this as well.
If it's an occassional problem, is it something you can duplicate on demand?

  • Safari gets stuck loading pages and cycles indefinitely

I am new to Macs. I am using Safari to trade stocks and many of the pages I use must be refreshed every few minutes. These pages are located in etrade.com, ameritrade.com, google finance and yahoo finance. At any single point, I may have up to ten or so tabs open in my window and refresh each as I need. However, Safari will have a tough time refreshing the pages most of the time and will get through about half of one, then get stuck and start cycling indefinitely. At that point, I need to stop loading, reload/refresh the page a couple more times, each time Safari getting further along and getting stuck again, until the page properly refreshes completely. I understand that I am using a lot of pages at once. But that should be no problem and should have no affect on the browser and other pages. I have a 2.93 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, and 256 GB SSD hard drive. The computer has no software on it so far. No music, nothing so far. I've never had this problem with Mozilla or Explorer on PCs. Even this Apple page had to be reloaded, now that the problem has spread to all pages I browse online. I have no other problems with the notebook. Does anyone know what's going on with my browser and do I need a software update or need to get the computer flushed and everything reinstalled? Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to the forums!
    Try this:
(First, if yours is an Intel Mac, check that Safari is not running in Rosetta, which is enough to slow it to a crawl.)
Adding DNS codes to your Network Settings, should gives good results in terms of speed-up:
Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu. Click on TCP/IP and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' enter the following two numbers:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
(An explanation of why that is both safe and a good idea can be read here: http://www.labnol.org/internet/tools/opendsn-what-is-opendns-why-required-2/2587 /
Open DNS also provides an anti-phishing feature: http://www.opendns.com/solutions/homenetwork/anti-phishing/ )
Whilst in System Preferences/Network you should also turn off 'IPv6' in your preference pane, as otherwise you may not get the full speed benefit (the DNS resolver will default to making SRV queries). If you want to know what IPv6 is:
This is Apple's guidance on iPv6:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8708.html
Click on Apply Now and close the window.
    Restart Safari, and repair permissions.
If that didn't do it, then try this as well:
Empty Safari's cache (from the Safari menu), then close Safari.
Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete the following files:
    form values
    download.plist
Then go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete
    com.apple.Safari.plist
    Repair permissions (in Disk Utility).
Start up Safari again, and things should have improved.
