Uccx 8.0 email IMAP config

Hi all, Does anyone have a screen shot of their IMAP config within the global settings in UCCX please, I just can't get it to accept the IMAP config but we can't figure out what's wrong but all looks OK.
Thanks

We have:
IMAP Host:
Port: 143
Username: [email protected]
Password:
SMTP Host:
Port: 25
Username: [email protected]
Password:
I believe what caught us up at first was IMAP was configured to require a secure connection. Try adjusting the Exchange IMAP properties to make it work non-secure first.

  • No TLS Encryption for emails (imap)?

    Hello,
i've tried to get email with TLS encryption working on my Z10 with 10.1.0.4181 (and the Version before), without success. On my OSX and Android-Device its working perfectly.
I have a second email imap account, with ssl only. This is working fine. But no TLS (not! StartTLS).
Is this a general problem of BBOS 10 or a problem of my device? Any solutions?
    Kind regards,

  • Having email imap synchronization problems with outlook 365 proplus

    Hello,
I have email imap synchronization problems with outlook 365 proplus.
If I sent emails , my sent items box does not synchronized.
This is really a bug, because I see more problems like this on internet.
Please make ASAP a solution , this is not professional
    JMR

    Hi JMR,
Assuming you are referring to Outlook 2013 by "outlook 365 proplus". This is actually because Outlook 2013’s IMAP implementation has changed when compared to previous versions of Outlook.
While configuring the IMAP account, Outlook will talk to the IMAP server for the correct folders first. If Outlook 2013 can’t find the correct folder for the Sent Items in your mail server, it will create a folder which doesn’t sync with the mail server.
To sync the Sent Items folder with IMAP server, we can try to root the mailbox:
    Go to FILE->Account Settings->Account Settings…
Double click on your IMAP account.
Click More Options… button, then Advanced tab
Type "Inbox" as the "Root folder path"
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Naqeeb,
The Imap portlet has been successfully deployed and tested. Could you set the log level to 7 and see what comes in the debug logs?
Another thing that you need to look at is whether your external application has been configured properly and whether the details entered are right or not. Make sure that the email gateway is reachable from the machine on the which the provider has been deployed.

  • Can I get imap added to my email account config?

Can I get imap added to my email account w2psoftware.com

Hi there.  I am trying to use OS X Mail to set up email via IMAP for Business Catalyst email, but I am getting an error when trying to connect to the IMAP server on port 143.  The Mail application connection doctor points to the incoming mail server as the problem.  SMTP seems to connect just fine.  I have also tried to connect via multiple ISPs and am getting the same issue.  All of my setup information looks to be just fine.  Any suggestions?

  • UCCX 7 agent email in Windows 7

    Hi everyone,
I have an email CSQ set up and working for agents using Windows XP machines. We are moving to Windows 7, and in testing, I have gotten CAD working fine for voice contacts, but I can't seem to get agent email in CAD to work with Win7.
I have the correct version of Java installed (1.5.14), and when I start CAD, the email tab acts like it is loading the java app, and says "Please select an E-mail" but the email ready and not ready buttons remain grayed out. I have tried running CAD in XP compatibility mode, but there is no change. CAD log files say "ERROR DAGT3024 Unable to start EEM client controller."
I realize that CAD is not officially supported in Win7 for UCCX 7. I have read other posts that said that they got CAD to "work fine" in Win7, and for all the voice contacts, this is true for me too, but not for email. Has anyone gotten agent email to work in Win7 with UCCX 7? If so, how? Any ideas (besides upgrading to UCCX 8)?
    Jon

Yes, you need to enable IMAP on Exchange, and you need to give the user account the IMAP feature access.  Use these sample steps to validate that you setup IMAP for your account correctly.
    > telnet host.domain.com 143x login username passwordx list "" "*"x status inbox (messages)x select inboxx fetch 1 fullx fetch 1 rfc822.headerx fetch 1 rfc822.textx logout
Use these steps to confirm your SMTP config (Google Base64 encoding to encode your username and password online):
    > telnet host.domain.com 25ehloauth loginmail from:[email protected] to:[email protected]: Your Subject LineThe body of your e-mail message goes here. You can include multi-line messages by pressing the ENTER key. When you are finished type the "." on a line by itself, followed by theENTER key.Thanks!.quit

  • Cannot send email ("IMAP" server?)

I got an iPhone 5c last week. Verizon set up my email accounts. I receive everything to my two cox.net mailboxes just fine on my new phone.
Whenever I attempt to send an email I get the following error message:
Cannot Send Mail - the user name or password for SMTP:(my email)@smtp.cox.net is incorrect.
Under "settings", it says the server is  "IMAP." Just IMAP. No option to change or edit servers appears to exist, either.
Now, on my iPad, my incoming mail server is "pop.cox.net" and my outgoing server is smtp.cox.net. No issues there. Always has been - and thought it was on my phone, too.
I have deleted all of my mail accounts several times, and re-added them, only to have this "IMAP" server on my mail accounts, and appears to be what is preventing me from sending mail.

  • Disable synchronization of email - IMAP

What would be an approach to disabling synchronization of content except for sent items on an imap mailbox to use it only for outbound email?  We have an application requirement that IMAP users open an instance of their mailbox from Outlook launched
from a server just for the outbound/smtp functionality and we want to minimize or eliminate downloading of mailbox contents.  i've been able to approximate this by using a fake pop inbound with the real smtp outbound but this we also need items sent to
sync in the sent items of their imap mailbox which doesn't happen with that setup.  Disabling 'receive new mail items' + send/recv scheduling in the imap send/recv groups has not achieved the desired result in Outlook 2013.  Inbox still downloads
    new emails -

    Hello,
The method you tried also didn't work when I tested. I haven't found any other method to totally disable the synchronization of emails. However, we can try adjusting the "Mail to keep offline" slider to the far left to minimize the
    downloading of emails.

  • BTYahoo! Email IMAP - Problem saving messages in S...

I have been using BTYahoo! email with IMAP for several years now. One problem that I never used to have has become more and more regular over the last six months or so. It is now at the point where I get this problem 95% of the time when sending messages.
When I send a message it seems to get sent ok, but there is then a problem with saving a copy in the Sent folder. Almost every time it will trigger an alert in my e-mail client (currently Thunderbird) saying that the message could not be saved in the Sent folder. This alert appears after a short time-out limit is reached. At this point clicking the option to retry usually works, but sometimes it will just fail repeatedly and I have to cancel the attempt to save a copy.
I have tried a different e-mail client program but got a similar error alert about not being able to save a copy in the Sent folder. To me that implies it is a problem with either my BTYahoo! email client settings or the server-side system.
I'm using the same IMAP settings that I had used without issue for a long time.
    imap.mail.yahoo.com  -  port 993  -  SSL/TLS (normal password)
    smtp.mail.yahoo.com  -  port 465  -  SSL/TLS (normal password)
I have tried changing the outgoing server to that below but it doesn't solve the problem.
    mail.btinternet.com  -  port 465  -  SSL/TLS (normal password)
    My questions are:-
Has anybody else experienced a similar problem?
Is anybody aware of any recent IMAP settings change that I need to apply to solve this?

    Hi Keith,
The problem started for me something like six months ago. Originally it was a rare occurrence so clicking retry once every now and then wasn't a big deal, but as I mentioned I now get the time-out virtually every time I send a message. I appreciate the message is successfully sent first, but I can't just ignore it as I need to have a copy retained in my Sent folder for my records.
Possibly the BTYahoo! servers that handle that function are much slower to respond now? I'll see if I can increase the time-out limit in Thunderbird. There is no time-out problem sending messages, just when saving the copy.
Once in a blue moon I don't get the error message but there is still no copy saved in the Sent folder. That is very annoying when it happens. Luckily that is still a very rare occurrence currently.
I'm really trying to establish whether this is a problem caused by my PC set up, or whether it's a problem with BTYahoo! email and there is nothing I can do at my end to fix it.

  • UCCX 8 agent Email stuck in outbox

    Hi,
I have UCCX 8 version 8.0.2.1100 new installation.  The UCCX 8 can't send emails trough Exchange 2007. When you login to windows PC with the same credentials used by UCCX  and open outlook you can see all messages stuck in the outbox. This happens to auto responses and email responses send from agents.
I have UCCX 7 with different login to this same Exchange server setup identically that works correctly.
Thanks for any help and suggestions ,
    Robert

I did get this resolved. The Exchange Connector properties had to be adjusted
Under the Authentication Tab only "Basic Authentication" had to be selected.
See the 2 attached screen shots of my settings.
    Hope this helps.

If roundcube and the mail server are on the same host, do you really need SSL?

  • IronPort email encryption config precedence

    Hi,
I'm reading thru the IronPort Email Config Guide for Email encryption. I have noticed up to three different ways of requesting certain encryption parameters. I'd like to make sure I understand the order of precedence for these different methods, when multiple options are encountered for a given message.
For example, to configure Read Receipts on an outbound secure message:
    a) I can configure Read Receipt in the Encryption Profile
    b) I can configure a Content Filter to add an encryption header "X-PostX-Send-Return-Receipt" to the message
    c) At the time of sending the message, from BCE app, I can select Read Receipt (or for certain attribuutes, I can use the CRES admin console and ask for the actions such as message expiration, etc)
So given the above methods for requesting a certain action, my understanding is that the order of precedence is:
    c -> b -> a
    That is, (c) overrides (b);  and (b) overrides (a).
    Is the above correct?
And as for (c), is it also correct to expect that the upcoming Outlook plugin release 7.3 will enable a desktop user to set the same flags on an outbound message as supported today in BCE app (such as requesting ReadReceipt, etc.)?
    Thaks for any help.

  • Email IMAP folders / gmail labels invisible

After os update I can only see my email account in the mail app. All the IMAP folders which are represented by labels in gmail are gone. I can't see my folders. I can't access the trash for example because it is not shown in the left menu pane.

Thanks a lot for your reply, and thanks a lot for the link to that article. I appreciate it.
According to that article, if I move a message to a folder in Apple Mail, that means a label is applied to the message on the web. But, in my experience, moving a message doesn't move the entire thread, so you end up spliting the thread in two. Also, the iPhone/iPod Touch has no Copy function. So, I can't add multiple labels to one message.
Is Gmail IMAP more trouble than it's worth? The iPhone/iPod Touch doesn't show threading, which puts things off to a bad start. And the concept of moving messages into folders is totally different to tagging threads with labels. I currently can't understand how anyone uses Gmail IMAP successfully on their iPhone/iPod Touch, without making a total mess of what's going on online, in Gmail on the web.

  • Iphone read vs. unread emails + imap vs. pop? PULLEASE HELP

    Hey ya!
So I have 5 email accounts that I track regularly:
This is how I have it set up on my MacBookPro:
    1) work, exchange IMAP
    2) personal, third party POP3
    3) business, gmail, pop3
    4) business, gmail, pop3
    5) personal, gmail, pop3
And I used to have a treo palm 700xw that would have the following behavior:
    1) Work exchange imap: If I read a piece of email at work or on my macbook, the emails would download to my phone and be marked as already read - and if they hadn't been read yet, if I read them from my phone, they would be marked as read on the other two systems
    2) gmail accounts - on my phone, if I read them, they would be marked read all around
    3) personal third party pop - If the emails were downloaded to my computer already, they would show up as unread on my phone (even if I hadn't read them yet).
NOW, with my new iphone, it seems that everything is showing up as unread -
A new gmail or 3rd party email will come in to my macbook pro (via pop3), i read them all - and then i update the info on my phone and they still show up as unread!
    MOST ANNOYING THING EVVVER.
Any ideas on how to be smart about this?
I'm having a huge headache and can't figure out the best combo
    THANKS ALL!!
    -R

If you want to keep mailboxes and messages for an email account synchronized between multiple email clients used to access the account, you need an IMAP account which is designed for this.
If an account can be accessed as a POP or IMAP account, there are potential problems when accessing the account as a POP account with one email client and as an IMAP account with another email client - which defeats the purpose and benefit of an IMAP account.
If you access an account as a POP account, you can't store sent messages on the server. The account's Sent mailbox will not be synchronized with the server with different email clients used to access the account.
If you want synchronization including when a message has been read with one email client being marked as read when checking the account's Inbox mailbox with another email client, you need to access the account as an IMAP account with both email clients used to access the account.
