    Dear All,
I am trying to connect to SQL database 2008 system at receiver side.
for this I have used Business Service and configured the JDBC adapter at receiver side.
Do I need to make configured Busniess System in SLD?
    I  am using
    JDBC Driver: com.sap.nwmss.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
    and
    connection string=jdbc:nwmss:sqlserver://iltlvsap99:1433;DatabaseName=BPV
    is the correct parameter ?
when I am testing this scenario
I am getting below error in RWB

    Please advice.

    Hi Abhay,
Check Raja's reply in Re: Cannot connect to SQL 2008 using jdbc adapter. . Your connection parameter doesn't seem correct. If it doesn't work even after correcting the parameters, then check if the sql driver is properly installed or not.

  • UCCX 10.5 Real Time Report shows "Not Connected"

    Hi,
    UCCX 10.5 HA over LAN.
As per the title, RTR shows Not connected for both nodes and no data shown for all reports. all services are In service in both nodes.
    Any Ideas?
    Regards.

    Hi Mohamed,
Are you accessing this via the IE or FF? If so which version?
The Real time reporting on UCCX connects to the RMI port 6999 to pull the information on the Engine. If there are no port blockages or if there are no issues with the browsers, then it is a problem with the configuration files in root holding this information which needs in depth analysis.
A restart of the Engine also should help. I know that everything is IN SERVICE, but I have noticed a lot of issues on UCCX 10.5 when there are stuck calls on the system, it impacts RTR with the midnight stats reset.
The reset of the Engine is bound to clear all the stuck calls in the system and this may be a side effect of the stuck calls on the system especially if the RTR was working before you noticed the problems.

  • UCCX on separate CM cluster

I have a customer that has 9 distinct Call Manager clusters that are geographically separated and has UCCX connected to one of them. They want to create a UCCX Application/Script/CSQ/etc for a group of people that are on one of the Call Manager clusters the UCCX isnt on.
I dont think this could be done but does anyone know of a way to accomplish this...
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi
A UCCX cluster is linked to one single CM cluster.
You may be able register the phones that need to be on UCCX to the UCCX partner cluster.
Otherwise you would need to either:
    1) Get another UCCX cluster for the home cluster of these users
    2) Send the calls from the UCCX app to a hunt group containing the users over an inter-cluster trunk.
    Regards

  • UCCX Script to light strobe

Our old PBX system had a feature where if calls were in queue it would make a call to a line that powered an analog strobe light. I have been able to make our analog gateway light the strobe by placing a call to an extension but i cant figure out how to write a call script that will place that call when calls get queued up. I have tried adding a place call step in my script at the point a call is queued but when the call hits that step it pauses for the duration i have set it to ring the strobe. Is there any way to make a script where it sees calls in queue, then makes a call to a number and lets it ring for a set amount of time and still continues processing the rest of the script while its ringing the strobe line?

At a very basic level, you have no control of scripting RNA scenarios in UCCX.
Here is a test for you to validate what I am saying:

  • Cannot add SQL2008 datasource to uccx?

    Hi everybody,
I tried to add a datasource to UCCX, but it returns "Test Connection failed"
    Here is the environment:
    - CUCM8.6
    - UCCX8.5
    - jtds1.5 driver added
    - SQL2008 Express
    host: 10.10.10.79/SQLEXPRESS
    database: mydb2

Anybody know what I missing or anything wrong in here ?
    Thanks in advance
    Sam

    Hi Sam,
UCCX 8.5 supports the following driver class for SQL server 2008,
    net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver.
The latest JTDS driver can be downloaded from:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/jtds/files/
The instructions to setup the database after installing the driver can be checked from page 441 of the link below

  • Oracle 10G and UCCX 5.0 Database Connection return 0 rows on query

Currently I have an issue with UCCX 5.0 and Oracle 10G, we need to access a table on an Oracle10G DB, form IP IVR, so I installed the driver, created the ODBC connection and declared the ODBC, user and password on the Database subsystem (name on UCCX match the ODBC name) and restarted the engine.
Im trying to do simple select statement (SELECT * FROM TABLE) and I'm getting a 0 count once I test it.

    Hi,
I see it has been a while since you posted this question, but I am having exactly the same problem with an Oracle integration and I was wondering if you were able to fix this and how.
Your reply will be greatly appreciated.

Is not HAoWan , is a standalone.
After configuring a port-mirroring for capture all the traffic from UCS .
I found that PCs is discard packtet with destination port tcp 7 , when CCX send retransmissions CAD disconnected.
I open port TCP 7 on Windows but still have the same error after 8 hours..i got more than 20 disconected sessions.
IP upload for your the traces , you could paste the filter :
    ip.src == 172.16.144.110 or ip.dst == 172.16.144.110

  • UCCX E-Mail MAPI Connection Limit

Wanted to poll the userbase out there utilizing UCCX E-Mail. My question is did you complete the Exchange registry steps to set the MAPI session limit to 2,400 connections per user?
If not, what is your currently set at? Do you experience any issues?

    Hi,
no, actually it is just a simple SMTP session without any queuing capabilities.
    You have two options:
    1. (easy) set up a small SMTP server with queuing capabilities someplace near the UCCX server,
    2. (challenging) before using the Send Email step, make a copy of all emails, for instance, in a database, and make the same script delete this row when it exits on the Successful branch of the Send Email step. If for any reason the send fails, the email remains in the database and you can use any Python/Perl/**your favorite language here** script to periodically check for these rows and send them.

  • UCCX 7 DB Connection in Script

I need to create a script to connect to an enternal SQL server to write the post-call survey data. I created an ODBC connector to the external SQL server on the UCCX server (using SQL authentication). In the script, I put the DB Write step. However, I don't see the DB on the "Data source name". I checked the documentation but no detail about how to connect to external DB. Please help.

Hmm I think you will need to workaround this, here are some links that may help you:

  • UCCX 7 SR5 agent login gives timeout - unable to connect to UCCX server

Team - running high availability. The CAD login for UCCX 7 SR5 gives occasionally timeout errors.
Unable to connect to UCCX server. What is the root cause of this?
on CAD client PC based on Cisco recommendation
    C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\config, we changed PhoneDev.cfg.
    added ->
    [ReqTimeout]
    Milliseconds=30000
While this helped it still happens. Is this a bug you have seen?
What could be done for the root cause.

    Hello,
This happens because the CAD client software is timing out due to not receiving a response from the UCCX server in the configured and default
10 seconds. Increasing the timeout alleviates the symptom, but the root cause could be slowness or connectivity problems between CUCM and AD. The default timeout between them is 30 seconds. You can check if you have an DC/GC down or not responsive or point your CUCM to authenticate to a local DC/GC, but definitely need to check on the CUCM / AD side.
CSCta49259    CAD client timeout value not present in PhoneDev.cfg
    Symptom:
Per MIVR logs CAD side is timing out and changes to the server-side properties did not resolve the issue.
    Conditions:
    UCCX 7.0(1) CAD
    Workaround:
    on CAD client PC
    C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\config, there should be a file
    called PhoneDev.cfg.
    add ->
    [ReqTimeout]
    Milliseconds=30000
save then restart the CAD client .

  • SQL 2008 Connection from UCCX

I have done plenty of connections to SQL from UCCX 8.x using the JTDS sourceforge driver.
The documentation (uccx 9 administration guide) talks about using the "Microsoft SQL Server native Client 10.0 Driver" for SQL 2008.  Is there a JAR file that works for this?  I don't any reference to anything new in the dropdown for driver class name.

Looks like this comes down to documentation that has been wrong since version 8.0(1).    I found it in the 9.0(2) admin guide.
Bug: CSCto12196 states that the MS SQL Server Native Client 10 Driver SHOULD read JDTS 1.2.5

  • Scripting UCCX 9to Unity Connection 9 Directory Handler

My customer wants the voice enabled directory handler in Unity Connection 9.x but they do not want the "if you know your parties extension, you may dial it at any time" part.  My question is, is it possible to create a UCCX script to answer and provide a menu that, among other things, forwards the call to the directory handler but hits the 4 key to go directly to the "who do you want to call?" prompt so the caller never actually hears the part about knowing your parties extension?
Yes is seems petty and trivial however....

Sure. You an also build customer call handlers and directory handlers in Unity and record any prompt you want, so not sure why you would want to do it in UCCX unless you have some more advanced requirements, i.e. massage digits, lookup stuff via XML, DB, etc.

"How does UCCX manage it’s database connections – a connection pool manager / single connection / single connection for each call"
Does anyone actually know ?  Is it documented anywhere?
Based on how the steps work I'd guess that the UCCX engine makes a new single DB connection each time the DB step reaches out the DB for a read/write. I assume it would do this independently for every instance of a script running.  Hence the importance of the DB release step I'm guessing.
I know in the DB subsystem you can configure the maximum number of DB connections to be used but this doesn't imply how they are used.
I'm not a DB guy, but I think the concern stems from the potential load on a DB server with the constant opening and closing of the DB connections.  I'm assuming that if it used a connection pool the UCCX engine would open, and keep open, a group of DB connections to be used by the UCCX engine. This would lessen the load on the DB server I'm assuming.
Is there any fundamental difference with UCCX 8 and the DB access ?  It obviously not ODBC anymore.  It JDBC right ? But again how does the UCCX engine use the DB connection?

To my knowledge, this is not documented; however, at least through 7.0 the MIVR subsystem will open a pool of ODBC connections equal to the maximum you defined and keep them open. If you set it to 50, you will see 50 open connections on the SQL server. Each script that is triggered will attach to one of the available connections as soon as you use a DB-related step and keep it until you use a DB Release step. Once that script instance releases it, the connection is available for another script.
The behavior should not change with 8.0 as it is the same MIVR subsystem that is doing the work. My first CCX 8.0 project that needs database integration is still about 30 days away so I can't guarantee that though.
