UCCX 9.0 outbound progressive dialer doesn't
Using UCCX 9.0.2-10000 in the lab. Attempting to set up demo for customer for next week.
I have the outbound dialer set up, but it's not attempting to make a call (never hits the gateway). In pulling the MIVR logs, I'm seeing something strange (see below). I tried using the new improved and completely impossible to use bug toolkit (why can't they EVER leave things alone that work, but that's another discussion for another day). I can't locate any information about a bug like this. The input file is straightforward enough. But it will not outdial via the sip gateway.
I was going through the outbound troubleshooting guide, and when looking at the Sample MIVR Log Analysis, I was looking for it to retrieve the records as shown in the first step in that document. It never seems to get that far. Any input appreciated.

Upgraded to the latest build, but seeing exactly the same behavior. However, continued playing with it, and the mystery cause is at least partially solved. This is mostly a documentation problem. From the documentation:
DialTime field is used to specify the time to dial a number for individual contacts on the current date. The format to be used for this field is HH:MM. For example, to specify the dialing time as 08:25 am, the dial time field value should be 08:25 and for 03:45 pm, the dial time field value should be 15:45.
Here's the thing. If you put the colon character ":" in the middle of the time as a time separator, that breaks it. Instead, enter the time as a 4 digit number in the HHMM format using 24 hour time, and it will work (or just don't use this field).
The same documentation also mentions the ability to have up to three phone numbers in the input files. However, if you look at the contact import screen, it doesn't reflect this in the drop down (it offers only "Phone1") as a field choice. My suspision is that this should actually just be "Phone", and that I can have up to 3 of them, but definately there is a huge disconnect between the documentation and how this actually works.
I can't mark my own reply as a solution, but there it is for anyone who is interested.

In the course of migration MacBook switched off due to low battery. After recharging the progress bar doesn't move. How to continue the migration?
I've never seen the Migration Assistant resume from sleep - for that matter I've never seen a computer go to sleep while MA was running. (If there's a next time, don't try this without the computer being plugged in.) You will probably have no choice but quit the migration and start over.

Progress bar doesn't work if enableRedraw is false? Script UI
Hi,
I just noticed in Peter Kahrel's ScriptUI manual (version 2.0) this note:
"Note: in scripts that use progress bars, you cannot set
app.scriptPreferences.enableRedraw to false. If you do, the progress
bar doesn't display correctly. This is on Macs only."
Not having a Mac to test this on, I'm wondering what "doesn't display
correctly" actually involve?
Thanks,
ArielThanks Uwe.
Anyone who has a Mac and a spare moment, may I invite you to download
the demo of the "Create Character Styles" script on my website:
www.freelancebookdesign.com, under the "Scripting" tab.
It has a progress bar and enableRedraw = false (hence my interest in
this subject), and it never occurred to me to test it on a Mac.
If someone could test it on their Mac and tell me what happens, that
would be much appreciated.*

When I attach my battery grip to EOS 50D, the main dial doesn't work.
When I attach my battery grip to EOS 50D, the main dial doesn't work. If I remove my battery grip.the main dial works fine. Has anyone else had this problem?
It may be the result of the switch on the battery grip being ON. If you use the camera in Portrait mode you turn that switch on to make the shutter button on the grip active & maybe it also switches the wheel function too.

Some Body have and idea?

UCCX 7.0: Outbound IVR call based on datetime
Hi,
I want to know can I dial my customers (through UCCX Outbound Subsystem) from the dialing list where datetime is included and I want to dial them at that particular datetime.
The idea came from like example, I want to wish birthday to someone at particular datetime in future but the database entry can be at anytime.
I know the dialer dials the list of numbers simultaneously based on the number of ports configured, but how can I schedule them?
Any help please?
Thanks,
Mijanur RahmanHi, I have designed a script for outbound dialing with 'place call' node and wth HTTP Trigger. It's working fine when i'm triggering that application from IE or FireFox.
Now my plan is to create an application using html or java which will watch the the database with timer function each after 30 seconds and will hit the http trigger only when the current server time will match.
Will keep you posted if I got succeed.
Thanks,

UCCX 8.0 Outbound Scripts
Hi all,
With the Outbound module in UCCX 8.0, we were wondering whether it was possible to show agents more info about the contact they will be calling (when reserved for an outbound call) besides the 6 fields in the Dial List (account number, first name, last name, phone01, phone02, phone03)?
We were thinking along the lines of updating CAD's integrated web browser with more customer details fetched from the CRM database, or perhaps triggering a macro to pull and display the contact's record in another application...
Is any such thing available with UCCX? For those using the Outbound subsystem in UCCX -- are your agents satisfied with knowing only the account number and name of the contact they will be calling?
Many thanks for your input!
~ EricHi!
I need to integrate the Outbound campaign with the Integrated Browser to open up contact information from the customer CRM.
In order to achieve this I need to use HTTP Action and on the Requested data I need to choose something that matches the Account Number we insert in the contacts file we upload to the campaign.
Is the Request Data = *Customer Account Number enterprise variable? Or should be the BAAccountNumber enterprise variable I have to use on the HTTP Action?
The BAAccountNumber don't show up on the REquest Data drop box...Can I use the other?
I'm using UCCX8.5
Thx in advance,

Patient reminder outbound sip dialer script
Hi Experts,
I have setup some UCCX 8.5 system ACD scripts with agents on CUCM 8.6 for a healthcare facility.
The only item remaining is an outbound dialer option, which can automatically call out
patient phone #s and play a recording with Patient name, date and time of appointment, etc..
On the back-end, these appointments are stored in an Oracle based Medical application.
I am trying to figure out what format I need to export the data from Oracle, so it can be imported
into the UCCX ?
here are the pieces of the puzzle:-
1> Oracle DB will export a daily/weekly appointment list, which I want to import into UCCX.
2> the hospital receptionist will record the patient names as wav files (they dont have any Nuance integration)
3> my Outbound dialer script will either import the static file (from the DB), or do a Database DIP
to query this list of appointment reminders, then create the reminder prompt, and
complete the call/play prompt after the call is answered....
Questions:
> does anyone have any sample script/pointer to this kind of an application integrated with UCCX ?
> what format do I need to export data from Database in ? (assuming the DB does not support a direct
connection through UCCX)
> any other pointers/suggestions are welcome.
I searched through the support forums, but didnt find this answered before..
Thanks
JKA CCX script can do a database dip. I am not sure if Oracle is a supported DB for CCX.
The outbound dialer is more about dialing and send calls to Agents.
What CCX is missing is a way of triggering a script at regular time intervals. However there are two ways to trigger a script in CCX. The first is by someone dialing in using a route point. The second is via a http access.
So what you could do is to schedule a job on a Windows server that every minute would make a web access to the CCX server. This would trigger your CCX script which could then do a database dip looking for a user to call. If it finds work it would dial the number, play the messages etc and possibly write the results back to the database. This is nothing to do with the outbound dialer.
Nuance is a TTS/ASR engine and is pretty simple to integrate, well TTS is pretty simple to setup and use. ASR is a bit more challenging.
If I was doing this job I would write a Windows service that ran a regular intervals. It would look in the Oracle DB for work. When it found a person to call it would make a web access to CCX to trigger a script and it would pass the information across as parameters. This would be the number to dial, date and time of the appointment, name of the wav file with the persons name and what ever information you need to pass to the script. Depending on how your script works you could have CCX return a result to the Windows service, things like no answer, wrong person, person wants to change appointment. I would do the smart things in the Windows service and keep the CCX script simple.

Uccx 8,5 outbound IVR unable to load contact list intermittently and other ?
Good morning
on our outbound IVR we seem to have problems importing the contacts page and sometimes when it does load it show the calls were successful, yet none of the numbers were dialed. when we import the contacts it will usually show the remaining contacts but on several, more than should be, it imports and shows 0 for remaining contacts and also sometimes it will load and we enable the campaign it will show 0 remaining on the report yet no phones ever rang?
has anyone had any issue with import, we are using the same file over and over so it is not a formatting issue.
Thank youWere you able to figure out how to pass the accountNumber or the First name from the import file to the IVR script?
I'm trying to do the same thing. -

Hi Experts,
In IVR campaign I am trying to retrieve BAAccount number field in the script editor but no success. I tried the below options in the UCCX script editor but it didn't work. Once contact is uploaded, dialer fields are sent to IVR application by default or is there any settings we need to do in UCCX admin? Thanks in advance for your help!
1) Tried through ECC variables in Get Enterprise Call Info element
2) Getting as session data through Get session element

Progressive download doesn't display
I'm attempting to add video to our site using flv files
created in Premiere Pro and creating the swf files in Flash. The
video is intended to popup in a new window. Everything works
wonderfully inside Flash and in my browser, but when I move it to
the server, it doesn't work. When the button is clicked, the popup
opens and the file name and address displays correctly, however,
the window remains white. When I right-click on the window, I can
see the Flash settings.
I verified with our web administrator that flv is a
registered file type. I read about Enabling the FLV MIME. Is that
the same thing as "registering flv"? Any ideas what else could be
my problem?
Thanks.I figured out my problem by posted in the DW forums. All of
my paths were correct between the HTML, SWF's, FLV's, and the
JavaScript. So, for those of you experiencing the same thing:
End's up it was the MIME types on my host. The host computer
didn't know how to handle FLV files, just like sometimes on a local
desktop you have to sometimes associate certain file types with
certain programs. It has something to do with the HTML header. All
I had to do was go to my host settings through their website and
add the MIME FLV type.
Responding to the last post:
1. You actually want to save your video out from an AVI
straight to FLV, not mp4 if you are planning on having people view
it through a Flash player. Mp4's have some compression so you don't
want to add another compression on top of that once you change it
to FLV. You can even save an FLV file directly out of Premiere
rather than going the AVI to Sorenson Squeeze route. Better yet,
export an AVI from Premiere and open it Flash Video encoder (free
program). The quality will be determined by your encoding settings
in Premiere/SS/FVE.
2. Progressive download works for every Flash player that
supports FLV's (I forget what the first player was, 6 perhaps). The
only difference between 8 & 9 is that 9 also supports the new
compression codec On2 VP6, which lets you do alpha channels and
compresses a little better. Just use Sorenson codec and you'll
cover your bases. -
Batch Monitor shows no progress - qmaster doesn't seem to process anything
I've been using this iMac since my company bought it a year ago and haven't had trouble with compressor until earlier this week when it just stopped working - no error message no crash - its just doesn't process jobs. I haven't updated anything or added any weird software of which I'm aware. Unfortunately I don't have a time machine back up to return to. We have the extended apple care and I haven't reformatted and reinstalled everything yet, I'm desperately trying to avoid that as I've already had to do it once in the past few months and it put me back at least a week of productivity as it took several days to get everything reinstalled. The same is true for taking it to the local apple specialist - took them a week last time I dropped a computer off there.
Whether its a file that I'm opening in compressor or a project I'm exporting from final cut I can wait for 20 hours and no progress is made I've done a great deal of searching on these as well as other online forums and taken lots of advice given to other people with similar problems and nothing seems to work here's what i've tried in a rough order:
Checking for Updates
Resetting back ground processes
Deleting preferences (for compresser et al)
turning sharing on/turning sharing off
starting qmaster using terminal
restarting qmaster using terminal
checking qmaster's settings using terminal and setting 'rendering' and processing to 'on'
Reinstalling compressor, qmaster, qadministrator and batch monitor using Pacifist
When Reinstalling I never click the box to share processing on a network
I've tried starting jobs with it disconnected from my office LAN
I've tried Everything on the compressor troubleshooting basics page including deleting all files associate with compressor, qmaster, qadmin and even motion and reinstalling them.
after each reinstall I always update compressor as it wont even start in snow leopard without updating
I've checked in activity monitor - qmaster is running just fine, it appears.
If anyone has any more suggestions as to things that could be done, please offer them.try these initial things:
• check the QMASTER logs in /var/logs (or simply use the /applications/utilities/CONSOLE.app). IF its failing or stalled there WILL be a reason for it.
• look for QMASTER crashes logs...... you maybe not be able to red the dump but there will be a common thing in there somewhere...
• stalled?: maybe sitting in the ACTIVE QUEUE with PROCESSING, but doing nothing.. maybe one of the services has failed. I se an EMAIL address up in the compressor to tell if anything broke. works great!
• stalled?: maybe your set up the cluster maybe expecting MANAGED SERVICEs and you cluster is not SETup for that.lots of these things.
anyway, have a look in the console logs and post your stuff. Happy to help you with it.
I have found the latest qmaster and compressor with FCS3 is very good.
LAstly, I have had the ODD thing that utilises PERIAN plugins etc t sit and do nothing. PErian ends up dumping.. anyway all this can be worked around.

Progressive relaxation doesn't progress
I just discovered that in a contains() query with a <progression> tag and multiple <seq> conditions, the query does not return any results (ie, does not evaluate any subsequent conditions) if the first condition fails (ie, returns no rows).
Is this the correct behavior? It seems like a bug to me. I dont see it mentioned in the documentation anywhere.
Thanks,
RoryIf you use a ctxcat index and catsearch, instead of a context index and contains, the optimizer uses the domain index and returns the correct results quickly, as shown in the comparison below. The only bad thing about catsearch is that, as far as I know, the score function doesn't work with it.
