UCCX - Call Waiting Tone?

Does anyone in the community know of a way to send an audible tone to agents (via the ear piece) when a call is in a Queue they belong to?
My client is replacing an Aspect system which offers this functionality and they would like to have this when UCCX is implemented.

The only idea I have seen on this topic is to create a shared line appearence with the Idle Alert Setting set to Beep and the Busy Alert Setting set to None on all of the agents' phones. Within the script you can use a place call step to ring the DN for a few seconds and then just terminate it right away. It's far from ideal but it's better than 'not possible'. Be careful with your CTI Port utilization here; I would add a sepearate CCG for this.

    I am struggling to shorten the Call Waiting Tone length on a Cisco SPA514g, running sofware ver. 7.5.3, hardware ver 1.0.0.
    I am using the Metaswitch SIP Provisioning server to send a custom config fragment <Call_Waiting_Tone>440@-5;1(.1/.1/1)</Call_Waiting_Tone> to the phone.
    I have verified via the phone ui that the value is successfully entered in the "Call Waiting Tone" field under the "Regional" tab. The tone length never changes. I can remove it altogether, but not affect the -db levels or the length.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

    I've recently ran into this issue also.  I found it happens whenever I set my remote media gateway model to anything other then the default ringtone I get the extremely long CW beep.  When I set it to the default Cisco Synth tone the tone follows the config UI you stated above.

  • Dropped calls after call waiting tone

    I have been getting intermittent dropped calls for the past month when receiving incoming call waiting tones. I reported it to comcast call center. They said they performed a remote test but I never saw any resetting of the modem take place. The agent said it must be the modem. I told her that the modem (DPC3141 - Triple Play) was 3 months old and the levels were almost perfect at the modem. The agent said she would send a tech to replace the modem. I felt that it was a canned response because she really didn't know what was wrong. I later cancelled the dispatch because I didn't feel it was a modem issue. Any one out there experience same symptoms? I live in Boynton Beach, Fl.

    Please update to the latest version for Lync server 2013 and test again.
    You can use the Lync server logging tool on Mediation server and FE server for further troubleshooting.

  • SPA112 no call waiting tone - works in PAP2T

    SPA 112 fw 1.3.2
    We are using an spa112 with Asterisk.  The phone is not hearing a call waiting tone; the caller just hears that the extension is busy.  Using an older pap2t, call waiting tone works fine.  
    I've tried turning on and off Call Waiting Service.

    Hard to give useful advice with almost no detail. I assume you didn't enabled the CW feature properly.
    Catch the SIP dialog between Asterisk and SPA112 (use 'sip set debug ...' command of Asterisk's console). Also, turn on syslog&debug messages on SPA112 and catch them as well. It will help with further analysis.

  • UCCX Calls Waiting in Queue Customer Request

    Hi. Currently we have a customer with a no so common request. Their supervisors would like to have the ability to see Caller ID for the people waiting in queue. They currently only see the longest call in queue (time) and how many calls in queue (total calls). Also they would like the option to pick any call they want from all calls waiting on queue. At least for the Supervisors. 
    Supervisors are saying that they work on a previous CallCenter environment and they were able to accomplished those 2 request. See Caller ID of the people waiting on queue and also the ability for the supervisor to choose any call they want to from the ones waiting on queue. I don't know if that was a feature out of the box for that particular Call Center environment (Don't know the vendor CC) or if it was a custom job.
    Any ideas? Is it possible on UCCX?

  • HT4528 I keep hearing a call waiting tone on my Iphone 4S when I am talking on my phone?

    I keep hearing a tone for call waiting when I am talking on my Iphone 4S and there is no call waiting all?

    I am having the same problem. I downloaded it from my 4S and my ITunes account shows it was downloaded. It's not listed in the ringtones on my 4S. When I open ITunes, and plug in my 4S, I can look at the media on my device. There is a checkmark next to it and a circle to the far left, but it is not on my phone. This has not happened before. Hopefully there will be an answer soon.

    Can anyone help with this one? when on a call with a 6233 there is an obvious audible tone to alert you to the fact that you have another call coming in. However when in a car kit this tone is not obvious and calls are being missed altogether. Is there any way to resolve this? Can I get an audible tone to alert me to calls.   • Call waiting disconnects first call on SPA-3102

    Ive got this strange problem.
    When on the phone using Line 1 (voip account):
    1. I hear a call waiting tone,
    2. I press the flash hook and accept the second call.
    3. The first one gets disconnected.
    Some details about my setup:
    Enabled Codecs are G.729, G.711u and G.711a
    Preferred codec G.729
    Use Preferred Codec Only: NO
    Timer values: I found the PSTN flash hook timer value which is set at .25 sec. But this problem is when using Line 1 VoIP. So I doubt this is the issue.
    Now I "think" the SPA3102 can handle two G.729 calls (I think the spa3000 only did one G.729 codec). But even if this was the case, the codec shouldn't be a problem as my provider will allow BOTH G729 and G711.
    Any help with this is really appreciated !!

  • Call Waiting / Conference call / Call Held Notification

    I do not get a notification saying Call waiting when i call other person who is on another line. Other phones have the notification where it show is a conference is active or if your call is on hold. Is there a way for me to get this notification on my Iphone.

    I'm not sure I quite understand what it is you are asking. Of course, not many others have either, that is why you didn't get a reply to the first time you posted this. It wasn't necessary to post a second time, you could have just bumped the first post.
    If I understand you correctly, you are expecting some type of notification on your phone when you call someone else and they are on their phone? Generally, unless they have call waiting, you get a busy signal. If they have call waiting, you can hear the phone ringing in your ear, but unless the other party answers, you get no type of notification. I've never heard of any type of notification like that before. My guess would be to contact the carrier, but again, this is something I've never heard of before.
    Or are you referring to you getting a call waiting tone on your phone if you are using the phone and someone else calls you?

  • Using CUIC to Show Calls Waiting on UCCX 9.0.2

    I am about to deploy UCCX 9 for a customer, and they want to use CUIC to replace their existing wallboard.  This appears to be fine with the exception that none of the existing or available report definitions show calls waiting (as they are based on the Historical Reports Package). 
    Can anyone offer any advice, or share a report definition that would allow me to show this?

    I've not played with CUIC properly myself, but basically you need to get a Lab or NFR kit for CUIC Premium; with that you can created customised reports and import those to the UCCX system.

    This sounds like something specific to your cellular carrier or plan options -- some offer a voicemail to email option for example. If you are actually hearing the words "email waiting" when you place a call, I would contact the carrier.

    Both my best friend and I have Verizon wireless. When i'm on a call and she calls me she can hear the call waiting distinctive ring however when i call her and she's on the phone i don't hear it.
    My question is why is that possible?

    Pulling the battery is the only way stop it. It'll work normal for a while and then happen again. Known issue with the 5.0 software upgrade.

    Thanks for the additional details! Let's get this issue resolved. What software version is the device on? Please reset the Network Settings on the device. Go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings. Please Note: Audio alerts may also indicate delivery of incoming text messages or emails. The tone will vary based on the type of information being delivered to the device. Tones may also indicate low battery charge or inadequate signal strength. Keep me posted with results.

    Hi Ersin,
    Exception 1 would seem to be FORMATTING_ERROR, which suggests something in the design of the Smartform.  However, that doesn't fit with the form being generated from a report, but only erroring when called from a function module.  I can think of no reason why the different calling method would be a factor.
    When FORMATTING_ERROR is raise it should also set a message ID and number, are you able to determine what they are?
