UCCX integration with Service Now

Hi all,
Has anyone ever integrated Cisco UCCX 8.5 with a ticketing system called Service Now (http://www.servicenow.com/)
I have a customer who is now using this system and would like to integrate UCCX 8.5 for screen pops etc.

Hi,
We have CUCM publisher implemented in MCS server in site 1, we have CUCM subscriber in site 2 which is in UCS server, can we install UCCX in site 2 integrating with subscriber,if I have enough system resources in UCS server,let me know whether it is feasible or we have any challenges.

Hi Baskar,
Having a mix of UCS and MCS servers is not a problem, having a UCCX to the sub at site 2 should be OK as well as long as the RTT is less than 80ms between CUCM servers.
I found this doc that talks a little bit about what happens when there is a WAN outage, in their scenario they have a UCCX HA over the wan which does not seem to be your case but still has some good stuff.

UCCX Integration with ITSM Tool

Dear
We are running Cisco UCCX 8.5 in our environment. We are in process of integrate the ticketing system with Contact Centre.
Our developer needs to develop connector between Agent and Heat Service Management to get data depend on Caller ID
When phone rings, we need to get caller id to show popup screen with customer data and history from our system
how CISCO help us with this issue to get caller id by service or api.
Kindly suggest the best way to do it or if anyone has done it please guide us.

There are a few ways of doing it but you should be aware that most of these are due to be deprecated when Cisco replaces CAD with Finesse, a browser-based OpenSocial UI. A specific timeline for this is not publicly available; you can speak with your Cisco AM/SE to get additional details. It is not yet clear which integration options will exist through Finesse. Almost all of these options require Premium licensing.
Send an HTTP GET/POST event from within the AEF script. You would need to adjust your Select Resource parameter Connect = no. This would change the Connected branch to a Selected branch. You need to embed a Connect step within it; however, you can add HTTP steps prior to that which can push a URL containing the agent username and the caller ID for example. This has the advantage of making CAD irelevent.
Utilizing CAD gives you several additional options. These are explained in detail in the CDA User Guide (starting around page 97)
Send an Inter-Process Call event to the other local application
Run a keystroke macro to copy and paste variable data into another window.
Launch an external application (including command-line switch options)
Send an HTTP GET/POST message using the CAD Integrated browser

ESB Integration with Service Registry

Can somebody please post links to the documentation for ESB to Oracle Service Registry integration for dynamic endpoint lookup. I was able to do it with BPEL but same steps are not working for ESB.

Thanks Chintan, I think the problem is the needed patch 6133448. I have MLR#9 deployed but I think it does not include 6133448 and I can't install 6133448 as it conflict with MLR#9.
I will check with Oracle.

UCCX integration with Remedy ITSM-7

Is it possible to integrate UCCX with Remedy ITSM-7 ? if not does it require CRM Connector . Please advice

Is Remedy ITSM-7 the same as BMC Remedy Action Request System 7.1?
What kind of integration you're looking for? If it's just HTTP get/post then it can be done directly through the Desktop Admin Workflow. Otherwise, a tighter integration is required.

Active Directory integration with Service Desk and Busines Partners

We have populated the business partners in Service Desk with data from Windows Active Directory, but this was a one-time import.
At the moment if there are any changes to Active Directory then the business partner records need to be updated manually.
Does anybody know if anyway to integrate Active Directory with the business partner records in Service Desk?

This was also our problem.
We have multiple user sources (an LDAP, ADS, different SAP systems). I'm not aware of any automated way of doing that.
If you want to use issue management/service desk all the users need to also be created as SU01-users to be able to use the workcenters. The SU01-Users have also to be assigned to the appropriate business partner. There is no automation for this.
For us this drawback was so big that we stopped using the service desk.

OWSM Integration with Service Registry- Failing

Hi All,
I am trying to import a service published on service registry in OWSM and then trying to test the gateway from OWSM->Tool->TestPage. But I am getting the following error after running the test which is as follows:-
ORABPEL-08021 Cannot find partner wsdl. parnterLink "ManageInventoryService" is not found in process "ManageInventoryService" (revision "1.0") Please check the deployment descriptor of the process to find the correct partnerLink name.

UCCX integration with Oracle DB

Hi All,
I am having an interesting problem when connecting to Oracle 10 G from my UCCX 8.5 script. I am able to connect to Oracle and run the querries successfully when I load the JDBC driver from the database subsystem and use the DB-Read/DB-Get node in my script.
The problem is when I try to use my custom java class to achieve the same functionality. Infact, we have an extended piece of application that is written in java and does the similar functionality we need in the IVR script.
We simply loaded all the required jar files including the JDBC driver jar file from the document management area and then selected all of them from System > Custom File configuration.
Even a very simple java query fails and I get absolutely no response on my UCCX script.
Any other custom java files that don't interact with Oracle works fine, but the one connecting with oracle and running a simple SELECT query FAILS.

PS Milestone integration with Service entry sheet

Hi friends,
I have a requirement , like milestone billing (when ever we release the milestone attached WBS,in sales order the billing blocks will be removed and allow to do billing) I want to integrate the PS milestone with MM service entry sheet.
Means, when ever the particular milestone attached WBS gets released, in ML81N T.code it should allow to do service entry sheet confirmation with respective to that WBS, other wise it should not allow to do the SES. Actually I heard that,this process is exists in standard SAP, I have tried to do this but I could not able to do it.
If some body has any Idea about this please tell me the process and required setting to do in PS-MM.

Your requirement can be catered by attaching a milestone to the service activity which you will need to create in the system. However unless the service activity is released, we will not be in a position to book the SES against the activity. Once the activity is released it should allow the milestone to be confirmed as well for removing the billing block.

Way of External Database Integration with UCCX

One way to do this would be to use the Get URL Document step to request an XML file from a web server.
Upon receiving this request the web server would then retrieve the required data via SQL (fairly easy to do using ASP.NET and IIS), format it in an XML page and return it to your script.
The script would then use Get XML Document Data steps to parse the XML file for the required data.
The organisations that operate the databases with which you want to integrate may have some concerns about the security of this though as the data will not be encrypted in transit.

Integration with HP OpenView Service Desk

Hi, is there a way to integrate Enterprise Manager with HP OpenView Service Desk? I noticed that Oracle has an add-in for integrating with HP OpenView Service Manager. Does a similar one exist for HP OV Service Desk? Will appreciate if someone who has done/tried this can comment on the feasibility/limitations.

Thanks for the link Rob. This helps me out. Hadn't gone through this particular documentation. I was looking at the management extensions (there is a downloadable jar available for HP Service Manager) - wanted to see if anything similar exists or has been tried for Service Desk (precursor). What we want to avoid is to re-do significantly the integration with Service Manager when we upgrade to SM from OVSD in the future.

Integration with Process Manufacturing

We are looking at upgrading Financials and Process Manufacturing to R11i early next year. Currently we use i2's Rhythm Factory Planner but are interested in the APS developments.
Which APS modules are available for use with OPM? Also where can I get an indicication of the cost per module?

I've got this info from Oracle. Hope this helps. OPM is integrated with APS now.
1. It uses the advanced planning engine and global ATP.
2. Demand Planning integration is in the works.
3. Manufacturing Scheduling is purely a discrete option and not needed for
OPM.
The pricing of APS for OPM is the same as the standard APS and is priced by Cost of Goods Sold. You may get the price details from your local Oracle sales.
