UCCX recorded call problems

I have one user that has constant spurious issues with calls that he records not showing up in the Supervisor Desktop. I can login to the server, and find the RAW file for the recording, and convert it. Even after converting it, it shows up in the wav directory properly, but will not show up in the supervisor desktop. I have to copy the file out, and send it to him so he has it at that point.  This one user is running Windows XP ( I know I know) and running UCCX 7.0(1)SR05_Build504. And yes I know it is an older version, and we are in the process of upgrading it next budget year. This is an ongoing problem that we can't get sorted out, and need to try to find a resolution.
Thanks,

======================================================================================
The  agent call recordings are stored on the hard drive of the Cisco Unified  CCX server with agent data store locator records pointing to the actual  recording files. The call recordings in Cisco Unified CCX are stored in  a raw format that is only playable using the CSD Record Viewer. The CSD  Record Viewer shows 7 days worth of call recording as well as those  tagged for 30-day extended archiving. The CSD Record Viewer also  provides the supervisor the option to save selected individual  recordings into a .wav format in a specified folder.
The  amount of disk storage allocated for recordings on a single server non  high availability deployment of Cisco Unified CCX is 2.6 GB. On a two  server high availability deployment of Cisco Unified CCX, the recordings  are alternated between the two servers in a round robin fashion to  provide load balancing and redundancy. Hence the amount of disk storage  allocated on each server is 1.3 GB.
The  recording capability of Cisco Unified CCX is not intended for usage as a  permanent recording archival solution. However, an export utility is  also available to bulk export all recordings into a .wav format. The  export utility has no ability to specify selected recordings and will  export all recordings on the Cisco Unified CCX server. System  administrators could build their own customized command macros or  process that would perform regular (at least weekly) exporting of the  recordings for permanent archival of agent call recordings.
When  a supervisor is playing back or saving a recording using the CSD Record  Viewer application, a recording resource is used and therefore counts  against the maximum simultaneous call recording capacity for the  duration of that recording playback. Maximum simultaneous call recording  and playback capacity is dependent upon the server sizing. The Cisco Unified CCX Data Sheet can assist you in determining an appropriately sized server for the amount of recording required.

Hope this helps.

  • UCCX Record Forwarded Calls

    Hi CCX Script Experts,
    CCX 9.0(2) Cisco QM 9.0
I want to just make sure there is a way on CCX scripting a step to record calls somehow.
Basically I want the IVR port to initiate a conference between Caller A (Original calling phone) and Caller B (Forwarded on-call Mobile phone) and record that entire conversation.
Key goal is to try to do trunk side recording from voice gateway.
    Cheers! Yavuz

Regarding Grahams response, the best way to handle this would be a recording application such as Cisco MediaSense or a 3rd party application which creates a SIP connecton and forks the audio for 100% call recording. You would configure this in CUCM in recording profile after creating the SIP profile.
As Graham said, he is correct that MedisSense is not the most robust QA solutions but it will bridge the gap. NICE (supported by Cisco) is a very expensive solution but it works very well then there are other low cost software solutions that handle SPAN based recording but you're limited to one local voice LAN but is not tied to the Cisco telephony solution except for JTAPI call control. A cheaper option is TelRex (cheaper and reliable), CallCopy, TASKE, etc but opt not to choose WFM add-ons.
Regarding Calabrio, it has nothing to do with the licensing model. Calabrio is a good recording solution and is deployed in most call centers I work with daily but Cisco Agent Desktop uses SPAN based recordings from the phone itself for monitoring and forks the audio path to the Cisco Supervisor Desktop making the request which minimizes inolvemnet with UCCX once the audio path is established. A conference call Calabrio would have to be able to interpret call control and support more than four audio paths (two calls at two audio paths each) to the supervisor desktop and likewise recording to UCCX.  In addition, conference calling requires transcoding of which Calabrio won't support.

  • Why has facetime stopped recording calls unless I close it down and restart it?

Facetime has stopped recording calls unless I close it down and restart.  Any solutions?

Try the standard fixes to rule out a hardware problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • I am an iphone4 user from United Arab Emirates with home button/MIC not working during call problems..

hi, i am an iphone4 user from the United Arab Emirates. I got my phone as a gift last September and it was not bundled with any carriers and was a factory unlocked piece. Within one month of usage the home button started misfunctioning. It started registering double clicks as single, triple clicks, etc. (the usual complaint of many countless users of iphone from the time of the release.) I then kind of ignored this problem and continued using the phone.
With this problem still continuing, comes another one.
My friend gave me a call yesterday, and we were talking happily for a minute or so and suddenly without any reason my friend failed to hear me. Five minutes was spent trying to make myself heard to him. I tried and i tried and the only solution i could find was tapping the phone gently, but firmly. Then he was able to hear me but then after sometime it was back to the same problem.
The only solution i found was to tap in th sides.(please note that this is also a common problem with many who have call problems but no voice memo problems.) I tried adding and registering my device to my account but when i try to put in my iphone's serial number, they say that the device number is invalid.
Now i want to get a solution to this, but since this was a gift piece i do not have any invoice of any sort. I even checked itunes.com/support and was happy to find i still have warranty till september.
I am confused as to what to do as I was dissappointed to find even a single apple store in the UAE and do not know what do we get in terms of support. Could someone please help me?

that is exactly the problem. I have no idea as in where this phone originates from. It was gifted to my Dad from a personnel who he was supplying for in the company. My dad then gifted it to me on my birthday. I asked my dad about the phone but he also does not know a thing. He also said that the other guy must have taken the invoice with him as he did not give anything to my dad.
I checked it in quite a few places (like SharafDG,eMax,Axiom etc., the local electronics suppliers) to track where this phone was originally purchased from( because these people usually take down the IMEI's of the electronic devices they sell), but they all could not help me.
Now i have no idea what to do and i do not want to spend huge amounts of cash for this matter as i am already in the warranty period. Anyways, thanks for your help in advance, but it would be helpful if you could try to get this solved for me.

  • Feature request: record calls and messages on iPhone

I'm trying to generate interest for some features I think should be introduced. What do you think of this one...
The iPhone should be able to record calls and messages to save as an audio file on your computer. Aside from providing the ability to keep a personal archive of important or meaningful calls and messages, this introduces another revolutionary new feature:
Imagine if every call you made on your phone was recorded automatically, so you could review what someone said even after hanging up the phone. Each call could be saved in a temporary location, and recordings could be saved permanently by clicking "Save" on the corresponding entry in the call log. This way, you wouldn't ever have to worry about forgetting what someone said, and you can forever save the memorable phone calls that impact your life. This feature would also be extremely useful for recording phone interviews for later review and transcription.
This feature would likely be relatively easy to adopt, and would certainly be a revolutionary addition to a revolutionary device.

Thanks, I already did give Apple feedback though. I was just posting it here to try to generate some more support for the idea. I'm new to the forum, so I'm not sure if this is an appropriate type of thing to post, so please let me know if it's generally not appreciated to put feature suggestions up for discussion.

  • JavaScript error and CATW record locking problem

    Hello,
We're having two problems with ESS (CATW and Personal Information (PZM3)) in EP 6. We have an ITS-R/3 landscape.
The JavaScript problem appears intermittently within Personal Data services (Address, Emergency Contact, ...). The actual error reads "object required" and originates from ITS. A user may be able to click through all the ESS services once fine, but on a second click receive the error. Sometimes they can't use the services at all.
The record locking problem happens in Time Sheet (CATW). Even though a user Saves and Releases the Time Sheet, it remains locked and cannot be approved. Alternatively, some users are experiencing locked records when they try to complete their own time sheets.
I'm not sure if these are related.
Has anyone here seen these problems? Any suggestions are most welcome!
    Cheers,
    Colleen

The best way to nail down the javascript error would be to use the firefox JavaScript debugger extension plugin and put the breakpoints where the problem occurs.
This will exactly tell you which object it is looking for which is not found. Moreover you might be able to find that when it is working fine as you said. So give that a try and I am sure you will be able to figure out the problem.
To me this mostly looks like at time some .js file is not coming through to the browser... but this is just a wild guess based on the symptoms.

  • Nokia 6500 call problem

    Hello.
I have owned a Nokia 6500 slide on the 3 network for just over a year now, it's a decent phone and I've had very few problems with it until recently. The current problem is that when I make or receive a call, there is no audio/volume. Once the call begins to ring or I answer, and it's connected, there is no volume. However, if I change it to loudspeaker, it can be heard perfectly normally as if it were played through loudspeaker (obviously). So in short, the "handset" option of the call is muted. I have checked the obvious thing such as settings and makings sure the call volume was high enough, but there is just no sound at all when on the handset setting of a call. To make a personal call I have to make it in loudspeaker and everyone can hear.
I also had a problem wiht my contacts, and I downloaded the latest firmware and it fixed that problem. However, the loudspeaker call problem has remained. Usual searching hasn't sufficed, I appear to be the only one wiht this problem. Hopefully somebody can help me out here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Cams

Take it to the nearest Nokia Care Point. Probably your speaker is damaged.

  • Can we record calls while talking on phone ?

  • Nokia 1661: speakerphone, audio recording, call h...

The Nokia 1661 support page specifications state that this phone has:
    "Integrated hands-free speakerphone"
    "Voice and audio recording"
    "Call waiting, call hold"
Searching the Nokia site and five different Nokia 1661 manuals have provided no assistance in using these features much less what the odd symbols next to 1, *, and # keys represent and what the 3rd port (between charge and earphone) is for.  Are these keys somehow related to "hold", "record", and "speaker" functions?
How do I use the advertised features listed above?
What are the alternate functions for the 1, #, and * keys?
Is there a PC data cable made for this phone (I verified this phone supported Nokia PC Suite before purchased, but now...)?
Thanks for any help, I am getting discouraged,
    Scott

Integrated hands free speaker phone> during a call move the phone from your far and look at it you'll see a loud speaker option(usually the left selection key) Voice and audio recording> should be under Menu>media this can be used to record conversation or anything else(on some phones it can record the radio playing on the phone or telephone conversations) Call waiting> this tells the network to alert you with a beep when you're on a call and there's another incoming call, if you look at the phone it will show you who's calling and will give you the option to answer and the other call is automatically put on hold. You can also put a call on hold by pressing options>hold then when you're done options>unhold to get back to your conversation
Show your appreciation. Hit that kudos button real hard

  • Recording calls with Torch

I need to record phone calls with my Torch.
This was a basic function on my previous Win Mob phone and in fact I configged a "fast" button to invoke it while taking a call.
You see, the whole point of the phone is that it's a mobile - so I generally don't have a pen and paper to take notes which I often need to so. Besides, ever tried to take notes while you have a mobile cradled in your ear? Doesn't work too well.
So, is the rumour true? That RIM disabled the call record component of Voice Notes? And that they forbid any third party app which records calls? Except for those expensive services which record off the network and email your the file?
    This is BS.
Please tell me where I can DL/buy a phone record app ASAP. I really need one for my job and since I'm self employed, it's even more critical.
Or maybe I should look at a Win7 or Android phone...in which case I might as well buy a Xoom tablet and forget about a Playbook.
    It's a domino thing.

I want to be able to record incoming and outgoing calls directly to my memory card.  I don't want to pay another monthly fee.  Please make this possible so I don't have to switch to some other type of phone.
    Sincerely,
    Kevin

  • Why can't I record calls with the iPhone?

    Hi,
Why can't I record calls with the iPhone? Every other mobile can! That's quite pitty ...!

Nonsense. There are many places where you are not allowed to take photos or video but those functions are included. Apple assumes no responsibility for them. Apple would not be responsible for managing the recordings on the phone either. It's most likely because Apple is located in California and in THAT particular state, both parties have to be informed of the recording. Most states do not require that. If Apple were located in another state (e.g. Alaska) there would be no restriction.
All the apps that record calls store those recordings in their servers and charge you a fee. It would be preferable to have the calls stored only on the phone so no one else could access them. The iPhone has the technological capability; we have just been restricted from having this functionality without paying a 3rd party.

  • How can i record call when i use handfree

How can i record call when i use handfree

    Define hands-free, are you using a headset/Bluetooth?
To note, Recording is not a natively supported function of the iPhone. There are laws regarding this... and in America, both parties have to be notified/in-knowledge of being recorded.
Where are you from? If outside the USA, Google Voice won't work.
Have you looked into a VoIP provider that supports what you wish to do?

  • Recording calls error

    Hi team,
I have a Cisco Contact Center Express 7.x working properly.
I´ve been using the Supervisor record Viewer to listen the recorded calls. So, I would like listen all files recorded, but there are any archived files that I´m not able to listen.
    Can you help me please?
    thanks.

    Hello,
Al the recorded files are available in the server, but you will find them in raw format (.raw)
so in the bin folder there is a utility to convert the files to wav , you can use that tool to convert the files then copy them to other location where you either can listen to or archive them.
