UCM - WebCenter  + HTML 404 error

Hi all,
I have installed last WebCenter and UCM 11G (11.1.1.5) and OHS is configured, up and running, and http://apricot.xxx.ch/cs is accessible,
BUT I still have the HTML 404 error, when I try to access profiles forms (for upload, or edit properties)
My connection.xml :

ah yes...
Entering credentials are required unless you install and configure OAM... That's the only solution.
The other issue with the session is a big one... According to initial information from Oracle, what you are doing is not fully supported and only works in webCenter spaces. However this can be resolved by adding a very simple thing in the weblogic.xml
read this post: http://yonaweb.be/enable_site_studio_features_webcenter_portal_0
it's the part at the ending about the cookie-path.
it took me a few days to resolve that issue so the above post is very valuable...

  • Approval link throws 404 error

    Hi,
       I am running EP6 SP2 patch 5, CM patch 5. I have CM setup to show news items anonymously. When one clicks on the approval email that is sent with the link to the item it throws 404 error saying that the document is not available. The item is there but is not available for everyone. It doesn't give the login page as news items are setup to be displayed anonymously.
      Is there a way to prompt for login without losing the anonymous access by changing the url generation configuration in email to generate URL that asks for a login page or some other way
    Thanks
    Kiran

    Hi.
    How can i reproduce it?.
    Did you login/logout before/after access to your externalId navigation?.
    It could be a WebCenter View Handler bug. I asked to you if it is 11.1.1.4 because there is a bug with it in this version. I don't know if PS4 have similar issue.
    You have a sample code to extend WebCenter View Handler in Andrejus Blog (code of Oracle Support): http://andrejusb.blogspot.com.es/2011/04/practical-guide-for-oracle-webcenter.html

    you might have other problems, but I think the action attribute in your HTML form is incorrect.
    You have:
    <form method="GET" action="/htmlform/LoginServlet">Your web.xml says:
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>Login</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/login</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>So I think you should change the action like this:
    <form method="GET" action="/htmlform/login">Your servlet's not in a package, and you might not be deploying it correctly (god forbid you added this to /ROOT), but try that first.

  • Can't connect PHP/MySQL 404 error

    Wow, the learning curve is killing me. Yet another challenge. I'm using Dreamweaver CC and this tutorial http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setup_php.html
    I'm at this step:
    Open comments.php. You must have a PHP page open in the Document window to create a MySQL connection.
    In the Databases panel (choose Window > Databases), click the Plus button on the panel and select MySQL Connection.The MySQL Connection dialog box appears.
    Type connTest as the connection name.
    For the MySQL Server, type localhost.If you are using the MAMP default ports on a Mac, use localhost:8889.
    For the User Name, type phptestuser.
    Type the password you chose for the phptestuser account in the Password field.
    For the Database, type php_test.Note: You don't need to precede the underscore with a backslash here. It was inserted by phpMyAdmin in the previous section (see Figure 20) only because phpMyAdmin uses a query that permits wildcard characters.
    Click Test.Dreamweaver attempts to connect to the database. If the connection fails, do the following:
    Double-check the server name, user name, and password.
    Check the settings for the folder Dreamweaver uses to process dynamic pages (see Specifying a Testing Server for Dreamweaver).
    Verify that the web and MySQL servers are both running.
    Temporarily disable any firewall or security program. If the connection works, you need to configure the security program to permit communication between Dreamweaver and MySQL.
    Click OK. The new connection appears in the Databases panel.
    Expand the connTest connection, and then expand the Tables branch. You'll see the comments table in the database, which you can expand to reveal the details of the table columns (see Figure 23).
    As far as I can tell I have followed this tutorial to the letter.
    As far as I can tell, XAMPP/php mySQL are all running fine, the files are in the correct place and everything should be working. However when I hit test I get a 404 error. (Same error when I hit the select button.)
    The suggested problems on the 404 message are:
    1. There is no testing server running on the server machine.
    Pretty sure the testing server is running. Is there any way to test this, other than to note that xampp is definitely running right now and that I can log into phpMYadmin no problem?
    2. The testing server specified for this site does not map to the http://localhost/php_test/_MMServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site.
    Ummm...I'm pretty sure I put things where I was told to put them in the tutorial, but I'm lost at this point where I should verify what. A clue here? The files are where they are supposed to be, but maybe I entered something wrong? Except...I'm not sure what that could be or where to find it. Whatever IT is.
    Everything in local files is looking good.
    Thanks for your help!
    PS: Extra points to anyone who figures out how to make copy/pasteable error messages! These buggers are the bane of my life!

    Bgupta, you rock!
    I hope you have copied the "mysql.php" and "MMHTTPDB.php" files from "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC\locale\Configuration\Connections\Scripts\PHP_MySQL\_mmDBScripts" to "C:\xampp\htdocs\phptest\_mmServerScripts"
    This was EXACTLY the problem. I checked the tutorial and I couldn't even find where the tutorial said to do this. (If I missed it, let me know where in the tutorial it was, please.)
    Fixed!

  • 404 error on iPad and iPhone

    I have an old site converted from GoLive to Dreamweaver. There is a password protected area on the site. The script for the password was created with GoLive and imported to DW.
    When trying to access the password protected page on iPad or iPhone there is a 404 error. If you type in the url addy the page loads.
    coloradocorgi.org
    password link at bottom of page
    coloradocorgi.org/pemmy.html
    page linked to the password
    Is there any way to keep the password protected functionality on iPhone and iPad?
    (I'm currently on DW CS6 and Mac OS 10.8.5)
    TIA
    Ziska

    Javascript is the worst way to do any kind of password protection because everything is "client-sided", if you know where (and how) to look, you can easily gain access to the UN/PW to enter a restricted page, or bypass it all together.
    A much better route to go would be to password protect a folder on your website via your hosting company. Most hosts will give you the ability to set the password protection on a folder by folder basis right through your Admin control panel. That password protection is controlled by the server, not the user's browser, so it is much, much more secure.
    Attempting to update a script created by GoLive so it works on a device that was invented after GoLive was killed is probably an exercise in futility.

  • How can I set up a custom 404 error page on OSX Server?

    I moved my web site to a local server and changed the structure drastically.  Unfortunately I am getting hits for information that was on the old server which I haven't put back yet.  I'd like to set up a custom 404 Error Page to let people know what's up.  In server.app I can set up a 500 error page but not a 404 and when I tried hand coding it into the sites .conf file I really messed things up.  It took me a while to get that all corrected!
    Thanks for any advice,
    Bill W

    Found it!
    Under the web server Advanced Setting set "Allow overrides using .htaccess" then create an .htaccess file in the root directory with the line:
    ErrorDocument 404 notfounderror.html
    Use whatever HTML/PHP/etc. document you have created.

  • 404 error when hit submit from php file for requested path E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.htm

    I have a php script that when I hit submit, it submits the form to another php file with a get command.  This worked about a month ago, but this month it's having issues.  This is what the relevant code looks like in the table php file. Running
    table.php shows the table in the browser and has 404 errors when I hit submit.
    table.php:
        <body>
            <h1> Visual Evaluation Entry Table </h1>
            <form method="get" action="visEupload.php">
        <table id="bigTable" border="1">

            </thead>
            <tbody>
                <tr name="MCBands" id="9214">

                    <td><input name="comment" ></td>
                </tr>
            </tbody>
        </table>
          <input id="submit" type="submit" class="list" name="submit" value="Submit To Database" >
           <!--maybe move all php part to other file-->
           </form>
        </body>
    The server is mapped so when we run it off of the server, we use the server ip address and my file name and skip the rest of the path, which works fine with the table.php file, so that mapping appears correct.  When I run it off of the server (from my
    desk) and hit submit it gives me a 404 file or directory not found.  When I run it locally on the server, it's saying it can't find the file name, but it says the requested url is `http://localhost:80/errorpages/403_error.html.`  Physical path: E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.html.
    The error message says the notification is from the MapRequestHandler of Module IIS Web Core. I'm not sure why the requested url/path isn't referring to visEupload.php.
    (Running on the server) When I change the action in the table.php get to include the IP address, it's behaving weirdly:
    Module IIS Web Core Notification MapRequestHandler Handler PHP53_via_FastCGI, Requested URL `
        http://localhost:80/13.141.xxx.xx/visEupload.php?bandy=xx&bandM=xx&bandc=hj&bandk=xx&comment=xx&submit=submit+to+database
    physical path shows as E:\visE\jqproject\web\13.141.xxx.xx\visEupload.php
    Login Method and user Anonymous.
    When I change the url to just be
        localhost/viseUpload.php
    it's getting HTTP Error 404 not found.  Any ideas why it's not finding the visEupload.php file?  It has the correct .php extension.  In file properties it's a type php file with name visEupload.php.
    I took a look at
    [404 error][1] but I see my "allowUnlisted="true" in applicationHost.config. I'm not using sitefinity, though.
    I'm not sure if something got over-written when we did a server windows update.
    I know we were having a problem with get and post a couple months ago and we had to add them to the IIS Manager Handler Mappings somewhere, but don't remember where we added them to check.  Since I tried directly accessing the visEupload.php without any
    get (and commented out get code in the file) it should have worked if that was the issue.
    We are running server 2008 R2 and I'm not sure which version of IIS it is.
    In case it matters, this is the contents of the visEupload.php:
        <!DOCTYPE html>
        <html lang="en" >
        <head>
        <meta charset="utf-8" />
            <title>Big Table</title>
        </head>
        <body>
        <?php
            require_once( "../classes/class.OLAPdatabase.php");
            require_once( "../common/Session.php");
            $OLAPdb = new OLAPdatabase;
              handling of the get part is commented out
           ?>
        </body>
    All I can think of is that when I access visEupload.php it's running from the get/action in table.php.  This might be a different user running in the system.  I tried changing visEupload.php file properties to have full control for IUSR and Internet
    Guest Account.  It already has full control for System, and me.  Users have read & exeture and read permissions. Or maybe it's something that has to do with how the directory is mapped out.  I'm not sure what could be affecting this, and
    why the message said it can't find the path to 403_error.html.

              First thought that comes to mind is to return HTML that tells the browser
              redirect to a nonexistent file under Apache. You can't tell Apache to
              throw a 404 unless you're in a mod. Maybe something they could add to the
              proxy, but until then, I think a redirection in the response HTML is your
              only option.

    A 404 errors means the file is not on the server.
    Checking the connection is just testing the FTP connection.
    I've read where I have to upload the file to my server but with the file index_html.  Do I rename my iWeb file, domain, to index_html?
    Do I rename my iWeb file, domain, to index_html?
    No, you don't. The domain file is where iWeb  stores its assets. It stays on your computer. It has no meaning outside it. iWeb publishes the index.html file and all the other files.
    Read this : The concept of iWeb Sites
    So if your pages do not load, check for their presence on the server.

  • 404 error while invoking servlet in weblogic 6.0

              Hi,
              When I try to invoke a servlet from weblogic 6.0, I am getting
              404 error. I have copied the HelloWorldServlet class into defaultWebAppl_Server/WEB_INF/CLASSES
              directory and when I invoke the HelloWorldservlet, its giving file
              not found(404) error. I am doing exactly what has been given in
              the "quick start to servlets" in weblogic 6.0. I am using Windows
              NT.
              I have also another problem when I use java utils.dbping to test
              the connection to my oracle8.1.8, its giving licence file not found.
              Could some one help me out from this.
              Thanks in advance,
              Ramu

              Hi kumar,
              I have been keep trying to solve that. After some time Suddenly
              "Error 404" disappeared and instead "Error 500" came. Okay kumar,
              here is what I am doing...
              I have installed weblogic6.0(eval), oracle 8.1.6 on Windows NT4.0.
              I have installed oracle Enterprise edition from CD "ORACLE 8.1.6
              for NT".
              I installed the weblogic under D: drive.
              I did class path settings as given in documentation. But Iam not
              sure whether I need to do any other class path settings.
              I was able to run pet store application given in weblogic server.
              I went to "quick start" section and ran HelloWorld.jsp page from
              "DefaultWebApp_myServer" directory.
              I was not able to run servlet program as per given in the "quick
              start". I am getting
              "Error 500---Internal server error"
              The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented
              it from fulfilling the request"
              I have modified the web.xml under WEB-INF of DefaultWebApp_myServer
              as per given in the quick start.
              Here is the quick start link For you reference(as what I talking
              about)
              http://edocs.beasys.com/wls/docs60/quickstart/quick_start.html
              In the web.xml, I have given <servlet-class> as just HelloWorldServlet,
              since I directly copied the file from some other examples directory.
              But still I am getting 500 error.
              Here is the url that I am invoking...Http://ramup:7001/quickStartServlet
              Coming to your oracle connection test, I did exactly what you said.
              kumar, I have executed the command
              "D:\bea\wlserver6.0\config\mydomain>java -classpath %classpath%;D:\bea
              utils.dbping ORACLE
              >scott tiger TestDB"
              Where TestDB is the database that I have created while installing,
              but I am not aware of the instance you said.
              Here is what I got after executing the command.

              I think I have connection to database, thanks for your suggestion.
              Kumar, I have not seen weblogic.properties file any where in D:\bea

              Kumar, if you have some time can you jot down the classpath settings
              and path settings for executing SERVLETS/EJB programs.
              Thanks for helping me out..,

  • Tomcat 404 error while running jsp

    Hi all,
    I am trying to deploy a project on our intranet server. But when i give the url
    on the browser it gives the error " HTTP ERROR 404 resourse not available"
    It is not able to find the location o the index page.
    Rest other projects which are already there in webapps are working well.
    But now when i m trying to upload any new jsp or html , it gives the 404 error.
    I have stored the jsp file inside webapps folder. I m using Jakarta tomcat 4.1.18 version.

    as in "webapps/index.jsp"? You don't put files in webapps, you put files in an web app directory, which goes in webapps, e.g. "webapps/myapp/index.jsp"

  • 404 error while accessing the blob in cdn

    Hi Team,
    I have a public container where I store my blob via code.
    I am able to access the item from the container via tha blob url. But when I try to access the blob via CDN I get the 404-Not found error.
    I have set up the CDN 3 days back.
    When I was using the Free trial it was working fine.But when I created the new strorage/container and CDN endpoint with my Visual Studio premium subscription I am getting this issue.
    The endpoint and the quertystring are enabled.Do I need to pay for CDN, I don't think this should be the case.
    Please help me out on this.
    My CDN endpoint is - http://az678809.vo.msecnd.net/
    Eg: My blob url - http://chiprocontainer.blob.core.windows.net/sitecorecontainer/Images/Destination/San%20Fran%20GG%20Bridge.jpg

    hi,
    How did you set your container permission as "public"?
    I suggest you could add this setting permission code into your container:
    CloudBlobContainer container = blobClient.GetContainerReference("mycontainer");
    container.CreateIfNotExist();
    // Create a permission policy to set the public access setting for the container.
    BlobContainerPermissions containerPermissions = new BlobContainerPermissions();
    containerPermissions.PublicAccess = BlobContainerPublicAccessType.Container;
    //Set the permission policy on the container.
    container.SetPermissions(containerPermissions);
    About above code, I suggest you could refer to this docs(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.windowsazure.storage.blob.blobcontainerpublicaccesstype.aspx
    At the same time, I used the Fiddler and Azure Storage Explore to reproduce this issue:
    1. I create a container named "img" and upload an image
    2.And set the security property in Azure Storage Explore as Public  container. I could visit the CDN endpoint successfully.
    GET http://az678259.vo.msecnd.net/img/test/det/4.jpg HTTP/1.1
    Accept: text/html, application/xhtml+xml, */*
    Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8,zh-Hans-CN;q=0.5,zh-Hans;q=0.3
    User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko
    Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate, peerdist
    Host: az678259.vo.msecnd.net
    If-Modified-Since: Wed, 22 Oct 2014 05:32:35 GMT
    If-None-Match: 0x8D1BBD0B814C51A
    DNT: 1
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    Pragma: no-cache
    X-P2P-PeerDist: Version=1.1
    X-P2P-PeerDistEx: MinContentInformation=1.0, MaxContentInformation=1.0
    But I visit your CDN endpoints, I got the 404 error:
    GET http://az678809.vo.msecnd.net/sitecorecontainer/Images/Destination/San%20Fran%20GG%20Bridge.jpg HTTP/1.1
    Accept: text/html, application/xhtml+xml, */*
    Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8,zh-Hans-CN;q=0.5,zh-Hans;q=0.3
    User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko
    Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate, peerdist
    Host: az678809.vo.msecnd.net
    DNT: 1
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    X-P2P-PeerDist: Version=1.1
    After I changed the container permission, I could get the 404 error in my test container. So I suggest you could set the container permission firstly.
    Any questions about this issue, please let me know.
    Regards,
    Will

    I am not able to go to the facebook site. www.facebook.com is not working. I get the following error message. 404 Error - Not Found
    The resource you have requested could not be found on the server. There are many possible reasons for this. Either the file does not exist, there is an error in your request, or the file is not accessible in the requested directory. Please verify that:
    * You have used the proper case; requests ARE case-sensitive!
    * You have entered the URL correctly. (i.e. proper directory/filename)
    * You used the FULL URL. (i.e. proper file type: .html, .gif , .jpg, etc.)
    * You use a tilde (~) before user directories. (i.e. www.furcen.org/~jurann/ )
    * The user/file still exists on this server.
    I also get redirected to "Busca Google" when typing www.facebook.com in the address bar.
    == URL of affected sites ==
    http://facebook.com; buscagoogle.com

    I have the same problem and it does not have to do with firefox. Do you have any idea how to fix it through?

  • CQ5 Multiple custom 404 error pages for multiple sites

    HI,
    I have multiple sites, and I would like to set up a different 404 page for each of my sites
    Someone already faced this problem? How I can accomplish this?
    Or there is a way to do via the dispatcher and create a static 404 error HTML page each time I publish a site?
    Thank You
    Adolfo

    Currently the most effective way to do what you're asking is to set up your 404.jsp to include the content of a site specific 404.
    There was a conversation about this here;

  • Getting 404 error when try to access website

    Hello...I have an iweb created website hosted at GoDaddy. Yesterday I did major changes on the site and uploaded it. If I use the bookmark I have established I can access the site just fine, and it is the current site. if i type in the url I get a 404 error.
    The bookmark is for http://www.galleryt.org/ and it comes up as http://www.galleryt.org/Home.html and everything looks good
    if i type the url www.galleryt.org I am directed to http://galleryt.org/GalleryT/home.html and I get the 404, site can't be found error.....it is that GalleryT after the /org that is causing the problem.
    When I talked to my hosting company they told me they couldn't help me troubleshoot my site but I had a redirect in my index file I needed to fix...unfortunately I really don't know what that means and I don't know how to fix it....I suspect the tech at the hosting service knows what that means but he wouldn't explain it to me...
    So can someone explain to me what I need to do to fix this.
    Thanks

    I reloaded the site and now it is correct. I don't know what was wrong, what I did wrong, but it is fixed now
