UCMDB Excel import - update/delete relationship

Hi, is any solution to update or delete a relationship between the object in Excel import? I created one (excel import), but there are wrong way in the relationship, so I want to change/update or delete all wrong, and create the good . Anyone have any ideas?

Do you mind telling us which Excel version are you using? Which file are you using as data source? Excel, access or other? I tested in my environment, but I can't reproduce your issue.
Would you like to share us a sample data source through OneDrive if possible?

    I would like to know whether a particular transaction(tcode) is updating/modifying which underlying tables. Is it possible?
    Here i would be intesrested only in those tables which are getting insert/modify/update/delete states.
    I have found one table D010TAB, but this includes all the tables related to a program, it wont give tables which are getting(INSERT/MODIFY/UPDATE/DELETE) states.

    I read the support given by you, about activating SQL TRACE, i cannot do that. About "internal Program environment' link in 'Utilities' tab doesn't give me correct info. I have checked for MM01 and VA01.
    I have to make a generic program which can fetch this information for any transaction so every time i cannot run each and every transaction. I have recording info of transaction, that is what fields user has touched. But as you all know in recording, not necessarily all the fields are from table, for e.g. for material master(MM01/MM02/MM03), matnr refers to RMMG1-MATNR not mara-matnr. So i dont know how can i fetch the info of tables which includes MARA. I tried doing through data element level but it gives me too many tables because MATNR as a data elements refers to too may tables.
    I hope you are clear about my requirement now.

  • Excel Import of Dates while in Manual Task Mode

    It appears that I cannot do an Excel import into start/finish fields for a task that is set to manual mode.  Is this true, or am I overlooking something?
    This is annoying.  I am having to import into the temporary fields of start1/finish1, then copy the dates over to start/finish.  Using manual mode is important because it ignores dates and holidays.  If my customer says an activity is to occur
    on a Saturday, then so be it; I can't have the tool changing it to Monday.

    We have a Customer that has data in a SharePoint list.  Included in this data is start and finish dates.  Of course our preference would be to have this particular Customer join our Project Server instantiation as yet one more PWA user.  However,
    there are scores of people that are maintaining this legacy SharePoint list and we are trying to be accomodating to their interface.  To that end, we are trying to devise a process that will allow us to periodically ingest their data into our Server. 
    Once in our Server, we can then start creating links from there to the rest of our Enterprise, most likely via Deliverable/Dependency relationships which we have tuned to a fine science with macros.
    There are people I know and respect that HATE Manual Mode and think it the worst thing to ever happen to MS Project.  I wouldn't go that far, but my initial impression of the capability was that it seemed to allow the ability to copy/paste a twin
    column of start/finish dates from Excel and paste directly into the Project start/finish.  Up until v2010, this was never possible --- copying a date into Start would set a "Start No Earlier Than" constraint and then plunking
    a date into finish would then set a "Finish No Earlier Than" constraint and immediatly forget the start date that was just provided!!!! We have known that if you want to copy from Excel into Project, then you need to copy a start date and a duration
    and let Project compute the finish, and cross your fingers that the finish date in Project matches the one in the Excel file.  My current impression of the capability is that it still has a way to go to meet expectations.  The fact that there are
    smart people on this thread getting different results and none of us knows why is very troubling. 
    One more thing I will add about how we use Manual Mode.  We switched our macros that create Depedency links to using manual mode.  We did this for two reasons: (1) people were complaining about all the "Must Start" constraints that
    we were setting.  (2) This allowed us to force dates to weekends/holidays without the imposition of a 7-day calendar. Having so much as one record in schedule with Task Calendar set to anything other than "None" then prohibits the ability to
    update a schedule in PWA.  We have had tremendous success with using Manual Mode from this perspective.

    I am facing a problem when performing following steps. Please give you valuable comments regarding any solution.
    Step1: sm30 Payroll Period & Year - Verified values
    Step2: PO13 Clear position for Transfer , go to maintain position
    In this step under Current Plan and a current period, I am selecting the Relationships option. Then I have selected Delete Infotypes. Then, Screen: Delete Relationships Delete
    Error : Change for person xxxxxx extends too far into  past.
    The Diagnosis is :
    You are working with active integration between the PD and the HR Master
        Data Management. You must consider the effects of your transaction on  
        Human Resource master data.                                            
        The entries cannot be updated because, otherwise, it would be necessary
        to make changes for the specified personnel numbers, which date too far
        back into the payroll past.                                            
        The earliest retroactive accounting period for the payroll subunit to  
        which the person belongs is defined in T569V. The earliest personal    
        retroactive accounting date is read from infotype 0003. The more recent
        of these dates is determined.                                          
        Only changes which occurred AFTER this date can be carried out.
    Please assist me regarding what steps need to be followed for resolution.

    Thanks a lot. This is a good option. But in this situation, I will not be able to able to use the program RPUTRBK0 as the 'Earliest RA Date' should be prior to the 'Earliest Masterdata Change Date' which is different for different Pnr. No.
    So, I am actually thinking of putting the Earliest RA Date as the Date of Joining of the employee and for this have to run the LSMW.
    Any suggestion from your side is appreciated.

    Do you have a small test case program that demonstrates this? A JDeveloper project showing what exactly is the problem when trying to use the BDB SQL JDBC driver to insert data into the BDB SQL database? What do you mean by "not working", do you get any errors, you do not get errors but you do not see the data in the database etc?
    What are the versions of Java, JDeveloper, ADF and BDB SQL you are using, and on what OS?

  • Add/Update/Delete XMP (PDF) metadata?

    I'm new to working with PDF. What I would like to do is add/update/delete XMP metadata to PDF documents. These documents will be indexed by our search engine, which I'm told can index this metadata. It's indexing Dublin Core so don't see why it could not index custom schema. Anyway, I've been researching this and as a non-programmer I'm confused.
    1) Can PDF metadata be added, updated and deleted?
    2) Can this be done via a template? (ie. get the PDF file, fill out a metadata form, and submit it or in the case of update/delete change or remove the data).
    3) Are there any developed applications (client or server based) that can do this or must they be developed? If they exist please tell me what and where they are ...
    4) Has anyone used the Java XMP parser?
    5) Anyone know of any online demos of adding/updating/deleting PDF XMP metadata?
    6) Can XML or XMP data be imported into a PDF file?

    1) Can PDF metadata be added, updated and deleted?
    PDF metadata is tricky - it consists of legacy doc info within the PDF structure and newer XMP metadata - Adobe is making the transition to supporting XMP across all its applications but we have to ensure not to break older workflows.
    Additionally, PDFs have the property of storing successive edits - meaning, changes are stored as add ons on top of the orginal when Saved - they are cleaned up when the PDF is Save As-ed.
    This has the added implication that XMP packets are duplicated - so scanning for the XMP maker will bring up multiple 'hits' even if one object is there. I've believe there are some heuristics that can be applied to find the 'right' packet using mod dates.
    In most cases it helps to have the PDFL to assist in the process.

    Yes, within the application - under Advanced > Document Metadata...
    Outside of the application you will need to build your own workflow.

    PDF can be updated very easily using the Photoshop CS File Browser - multiple files can be selected and metadata templates applied. Additionally the File Info dialog in the File Browser can be customized - adobe.com/xmp for docs.
    Also, check out poundhill.com - they have plugins for customization and integration with FileMaker, AppleScript & PHP

  • Z database table needs to have field creation/update/deletion tracked

    I have a Z database table.
    I have a program that gets data from an excel file and uploads the content to the Z database table.
    I need to track the creation/update/deletion of the records in the Z database table.
    The Z database table can also have records changed/updated/deleted manually thru table maintenance. These changes also need to be tracked.

    I dont know how much my reply would be helpful to you now. Anyways :-
    1) I do not understand why you want two set of users for the prupose.
    Rather then giving the second set of user rights to review post data is loaded into inteface table, why not get already review data in Excel Sheet to upload.
    Develop a UPDATE Integrator having parameters which will first download the data ( blank sheet first time)
    and while upload it will allow insert/update/delete and load into required tables.
    Say, suppose you are extraction basic details like
    Employee Number Salary Bonus
    111111 100000 5000
    222222 200000 7000
    Now first time when you run the WEB ADI it will download the data as above.
    You want to change the value of salary for 111111 to 150000 and delete the row for 222222.
    Updating the value would be easy . Regarding delete follow below procedure :
    Delete the record from spreadsheet, but remember this will not delete the record for 222222 from the table.
    Check for any records which exist in the table and not in spreadsheet delete the record.
    For any records which exist in spreadsheet and not in table insert it
    For any records which exist both in spreadsheet and table and has undergone any changes in column values update it

  • Content Wizard not importing updates int VCM database

    When I use the Content Wizard tool to import updates from the internet, It appears to work correctly, but the compliance updates do not show up in VCM. I run the Content wizard again and the updates are no longer listed to retrieve. How can I get these updates to successfully show up in VCM?

    When you imported the toolkit the first time, you should have seen a log of what was imported and it should have listed several items.  If you only see one line, then I suspect the install did not proceed correctly.  To re-import the toolkit, open regedit on the collector and browse to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Configuresoft\ContentUpdateService.  Locate the string value key for the toolkit you need to re-import and delete it.  Launch the Content Wizard (make sure you're running it with an account that has SA rights into the VCM DB) and you should now see the toolkit for importing.  As a sanity check, restart your VCM web session.

  • Connect role allows user to update/delete row of a table of another schema

    I am using oracle 9i r2, I created a user and only give him CONNECT role. Then I opened the sqlplus and found that he could query table of another schema which doesn't belong to the new user, but the thing which scares me most is that when I tried to update/delete a row from a table of another schema, it succeeded. Also, I created a new role with system priviledges CREATE_SESSION and SELECT_ANY_TABLE then granted to new user and revoked the CONNECT role but the same thing happened like before. What I am doing wrong? By the way, I am trying to create a read only user. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have forgotten to mention that this situation happened only in a new created schema which has only a table and the table was exported from another oracle db( I pre-created the user with connect role and assign the tablespace etc), the import worked fine. Then I used a read only user(in different schema) to update/delete row to the imported table.The read only user can't update/delete other schemas besides from the new one. Is that I missed something when importing the table or pre-create user, tablespace, etc? Thanks in advance.

    Does anyone have anyone have a portlet/code that can update/delete/add content in the repository that they are willing to share or know where I can buy it? We are trying to get away from letting users into the portal admin console for ease of use....

    k.. it looks like it works but I am having an issue with the createContent portlet.... I was able to fix the tag rewrite problem but when I submit the form the action form hashmap is empty.... Any ideas? Is this something that has changed from 9.2 - 10? If you want to see what I am talking about you can download the example from the above link and then import it into BEA and then it will convert it for you... once that is done all you need to to is change \WEB-INF\tags\rewriteName.tag to below and then try to create a content....

  • Insert/Update/Delete Non-PO Invoice Line Item via FM/BAPI?

    Does anyone know of a way to insert/update/delete an Invoice Line item (Non-PO Accounting Invoice - Transaction FB60 or FV60) using a BAPI or Function Module (or set of function modules) using ABAP? I have been trying to find some code to accomplish this and am stuck on a couple of issues.
    I have found PRELIMINARY_POSTING_FB01 and PP_CHANGE_DOCUMENT_ENJ but both seem to submit the details to background processes. This is an issue because it gives the user a success message after execution but later delivers the error to Workflow. This is for an interfacing program so the results should be as real time as possible.
    Has anyone accomplished this via FM or BAPI and if so would you mind sharing your experiences?

    I have been playing with BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_PARK and I'm not sure if it is doing exactly what we want, but it is something that I have considered in the past. I plan on looking into BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST this morning, hopefully that will provide some more for us.
    If possible I'd like to avoid BDC sessions because this program could hypothetically interface with multiple SAP systems with different configurations.
    I will check into those FM's and thank you very much.

    iPhone Model = 4
    Purchase Date = 05.Jan.2011
    Initial Activation Remark = I used my gmail email account to add contacts initially. But phone always failed to sync (back) with gmail after the initial setup. As in if I make any changes in the iPhone’s Contact List, it won’t automatically be saved to my gmail account. But I thought to keep a full phone back up on my MacBook Pro will be safer option as well.
    Latest Full Phone Backup Date = 19.Sep.2013 [via iTunes-11 on MacBook Pro-OS X 10.8.2]
    iOS 7 Update Date = 20.Sep.2013

    Problem = iOS 7 update deleted all the Contacts that were originally saved on the iPhone.
    Tried & Failed = I tried to restore from the available 19.Sep.2013 backup from my MacBook Pro. It restored everything but still NO CONTACTS. If I add email [orginal gmail] account's contacts then it does not show the contacts that I saved on the phone locally; around 1100.
    I am in the great trouble because my 1100+ contact list just zeroed by this new update.
    [Also, my iCloud all got screwed up. I had earlier used my wife's credit card to register for iTunes, and now my account got her name all over it. There is no option to change the name on icloud.com. I will start a new discussion for this problem.] Though I am trying not to lash out on Apple (for now), but I think that it is seriously getting into my nerves.
    Could anyone please help me to get my contacts back? I will be eternally grateful.
    I still got the Full iPhone Backup on my MacBook Pro that I did just before the update.
    Please help. Thank you!

    And, after restoration the iOS was still 7.
    I tried twice but still no phone contacts.
    Please help me to get my phone contacts back!
