UCS Director : Cannot access cloudsense report

      I have created a Group Admin user, when i am logged in under that user. Under Cloudsense Tab. I can only see 3 reports that i can add to my dashboard. There should be more than 3 when logged on as a Administrator. How do my Group Admin user see all the report under the cloudsense?

I found a solution for my app. There was one previous movie I'd created that didn't crash immediately in Mavericks on intitial opening, but only after advancing to another frame. Using Director 11.5 for Windows, I opened the file that worked and compared it to another that crashed, The only difference I could see between them was the font -- one used arial, the other helvetica. I did some further trials by creating new movies under Mavericks. Anytime I tried to embed Helvetica as a media element or to use Helvetica as a font within a text block, the program immediately crashed. I wanted something similar in appearance to Helvetica, so I settled on Gill Sans, which Mavericks renders without problem. My app is built from 14 separate movies with about 1,000 separate text cast members, each of which had to be changed from Helvetica to Gill Sans on a Mac that still had 10.8 installed. After that, no more crashes and the app files run perfectly on 10.9. Clearly, there is an issue with text assests and fonts in using Director with Mavericks--some work fine, others cause the program to crash without explanation. It would be helpful to have a comprehensive list of what will work and what will cause a crash.

  • User cannot access Crystal reports after user was deleted and recreated

    We are using Crystal Enterprise XIr2.  We are using Windows AD authentication.  We had an issue with a user where they were deleted in Active Directory.  Now they can no longer run Crystal reports.  When I go into the CMC and open users I see this user.  When I try to open this user I get the following error
    There was an error while retrieving data from the server: Active Directory Authentication failed to get the Active Directory groups for the account with ID "8B003DF11D45B244AC3B61AB36B6C445:ALLENDG". Please make sure this account is valid and belongs to an accessible domain.
    I think Crystal is still trying to access the user's old Active Directory account.
    I cannot delete the user either in CMC.
    Is there someway I can correct this user.
    Thanks
    Adam

    Arjun - Thank you for your help.  I looked in Central Management Console but I could not find what you indicated.
    CMC--> Public Folder --> Administration Tools
    In administration tool, there are two objects
    1) Update Windows AD Group Graph
    2) Update Windows AD Group Graph and Aliases --> Right click on this Report and click on RUN Now.
    I ended up deleting the records for this user in these SQL tables and then user could access InfoView
    CMS_Aliases5 (2 records for this user)
    CMS_InfoObjects5 (1 record with both aliases)

  • Cannot Access a report

    Hi folks,
    Hopefully i'm posting this in the right forum. I have three reports on a sharepoint site. All the three reports are developed using the sharepoint designer. They are using the SSAS Cube and share the same Data Source View (DSV). I can access two of the reports,
    but when i click on the link for the third report it gives me the following error:
    An unexpected error has occurred.
    Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation.
    Correlation ID: 2d4594c8-f091-4ae5-9822-3faa6402dbc6
    Date and Time: 3/9/2015 11:19:37 AM .
    I know for sure that it shouldn't be with the SSAS Cube as the other two reports are using the DSV and have the same set of permissions. Can any one please tell me what might have gone wrong or where should i start looking? Thanks

    Hi Amy,
    Please enable verbse logging from central admin and then check the ULS logs with ULSviewer, search for the correlation ID to get the error

  • Cannot access Crystal Reports after adding SP1

    On a new install of Crystal Reports 2008 I downloaded and added SP1 (cr121_clickonce.zip) to try to update my .NET to the new version of Crystal.  I now get the error message:
    The procedure entry point ?PrintLegend@CMapXLegend@CSLib300@@QAEXJJJJJ@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library cslibu-3-0.dll.
    I also added the update from 'cr120_redist_install.zip'  which will allow my users to access the .NET files and programs they need.  (This I did only on one machine to test its success)
    I am sure it is a case of inexperience but can you help me get back in business with Crystal Reports 2008

    Hmmm, "... I downloaded and added SP1 (cr121_clickonce.zip)"
    That file is not the SP 1 download. Sp 1 is here:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100010503722008E/cr2008_sp1.exe
    So. At this point, I'm not really clear as what has been done and why.
    E.g.; "...I downloaded and added SP1 (cr121_clickonce.zip) to try to update my .NET to the new version of Crystal"
    - this sounds kinda muddled up...
    And this: "I also added the update from 'cr120_redist_install.zip' which will allow my users to access the .NET files and programs they need. " also does not sound right.
    I'd recommend uninstalling CR 2008 on your development system. Reinstall and then Apply SP 1 from the above link. This will update you to CR 2008 SP1 on the development computer.
    Now, if you are then trying to deploy a .NET app to a client, use the MSI from here:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100011722132008E/cr121_redist_install.zip
    or you can build your own deployment project using the msm from here:
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100011715292008E/cr121_mm.zip

    Hi,
    meanwhile the previous error in my first posting does not appear any more.
    The model is executing up to the "TestReport Callback" and then the attached popup appears.
    But when i go to the menue and click on Configure + Report Options then nothing happens.
    Why is the report-options-form not opened/displayed?
    (I found out that when i use the default Teststand2012-sequence-model then in the Configure-menue is the point "Result Processing" instead of "Result Options" when using my model.)
    Thanks for help

  • Cannot access report attributes for editing

    I have a report/form combination. It's been working fine (both editing and running). I have made some changes to the report region definition source, successfully applied them, and they work as expected. However, I cannot (since yesterday, though it was fine before) access the report attributes. In the page definition, if I click on the 'report' to edit the report columns, I get an Internet Explorer error that the page cannot be found. Same thing if I try to access the report attributes by editing the region (the region definition and print attributes are fine, only the report attributes are inaccessible).
    I thought I'd start over, just to see if that helped. I created a new report/form combination on the same table, and on this new report I still cannot access the report columns.
    Has anyone seen this problem before?
    thanks,
    Carol

    Please ignore this; the issue was needing a patch to handle a bug.

    I have give all the permission to this users, so why this users still cannot look at the report,
    and getting error message,
    An error has occurred during report processing.

    for more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine or enable remote errors.
    can some please help me what this message means,
    I really appreciate it
    thanks In advance

    If "Credentials supplied by the user running the report" is selected, when the report is run, the user will be prompted to provide credentials.  They would need to provide credentials that have the appropriate permissions (e.g., read, execute) to the
    database.  This prevents the double hop.
    If "Credentials stored securely in the report server" is selected, you have to enter the username and password of a user (or service account) that has the appropriate permissions (e.g., read, execute) to the database. When the report is run, SSRS will use
    these stored credentials each time to authenticate to the database engine and query the data.  Users running the report are not prompted to provide credentials.  With this option you can use an Active Directory or SQL Server account.
    In order to access/run the report, a user will need to authenticate to SSRS.  There are options here as well. You can provide them the link to the report manager and they can authenticate, navigate to, and run the report.  You can also provide
    direct links to reports that users click in a document or application.  At this point the user is typically still prompted to authenticate to SSRS.  You can also programmatically call the report using API's and essentially build a proxy that authenticates
    to SSRS and open the report.
    Not sure if that answers your question.

  • Cannot View certain reports in Discoverer Viewer

    Hi All,
    The administrator account can view all reports. However, users cannot access certain reports.
    1. All reports have been shared by users
    2. Users have access to business areas
    3. Fan traps is disabled
    4.. users have following privileges:
    a. Collect Query Statistics
    b. Item Drill
    c. Drill Out
    d. Schedule Workbooks
    e. Create Link
    The error message is as follows:

    - Oracle BI Discoverer is unable to find the requested worksheet.
    - BIB-10310 An unknown exception occurred.
    - Join configuration cannot be resolved. Reason: more than 1 of the detail folders uses non-aggregated items. Attempt to open workbook failed.
    Thank you,

    Hello
    Ask the users that are trying to open the workbooks to do the following:
    1. Log in to Discoverer Plus
    2. From the menu bar, go to Tools | Options
    3. On the Advanced tab, check the box to allow disable fan trap protection
    4. Save the options
    5. Try opening the workbook again
    If this does not resolve it you may also need to allow the user to use multiple joins. That option is also available on the same tab, but try the fan trap first.
    Best wishes

  • The process cannot access the file during Crystal Report export

    We are exporting crystal reports into PDF using  ExportToHttpResponse (code snippet below)
          // Getting the type of the report file which has been selected by the user. (which will be REPORT CLASS type)
    Type objType = Type.GetType("WebApplication1.Reports." + ReportName);
    ReportClass SEPREport = (ReportClass)Activator.CreateInstance(objType);
    // GetTypedDataSet()returns an instance of typed data set.
    SEPREport.SetDataSource(GetTypedDataSet());
    SEPREport.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, Response, true, ReportName );
    Now we have created these REPORTS using Basic Crystal Report 10.5, which comes bundled with Visual Studio 2008 and .Net Framework 3.0.
    Now on our machines, we have never experienced any issues.
    BUT on the DEV server (web server) which has .net Framework 3.0 and in its GAC its has CRYSTAL DLLs version 11.5 (required to create an Object of ReportClass and its related functions) ; sometimes we get the following error while exporting crystal report to pdf:

  • "The process cannot access the file ..." occurs when export crystal report

    We are using a web application developed in VS 2005, .NET 2.0 with the bundled Crystal Reports version 10.2.3600.0 running on a Windows 2003 Standard server with 4GB Ram and Dual CPU's. Periodically we are still receiving the following error in our production environment:
    InnerException:
    The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
       at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.ReportSourceClass.Export(ExportOptions pExportOptions, RequestContext pRequestContext)
       at CrystalDecisions.ReportSource.EromReportSourceBase.ExportToStream(ExportRequestContext reqContext)
       at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.FormatEngine.ExportToStream(ExportRequestContext reqContext)
       at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.ExportToStream(ExportOptions options)
       at CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument.ExportToStream(ExportFormatType formatType)
    This is occuring at the point on the code where the report is being exported to a PDF. Exporting the report to Excel does not appear to cause the error.
                    Stream outStream = report.ExportToStream(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat);
                    byte[] charStream = new byte[outStream.Length];
                    outStream.Read(charStream, 0, (int)outStream.Length);
                    if ((charStream != null) && (charStream.Length > 0))
                        HttpContext.Current.Response.ContentType = "application/pdf";
                        HttpContext.Current.Response.OutputStream.Write(charStream, 0, charStream.Length);
                        HttpContext.Current.Response.End();
                report.Close();
                report.Dispose();
                ds.Dispose();
                GC.Collect();
    Closing and disposing of the report and dataset (xsd) are followed by a call for garbage collection. We are unable to produce the error in our development environmennt and have not at this point been unable to pinpoint a problematic report. The development team members do have SP1 installed. The report limit has not been changed from the standard of 75 jobs.  Reviewed the following document, Re: "The process cannot access the file ..." occurs when export crystal report However this applies to VS 2008. Any suggestions to resolve the issue would be greatly appreciated.

    To answer your questions:
    Is it correct to presume that the physical number of CPU's is not factored into the CPL? So that a Server with 2 or more processors does not increase the 3 concurrent requests? Therefore 2 CPU's would not increase the CPL limit to 6 processes?
    - Server with 2 or more processors does not increase the 3 concurrent requests.
    What would be an alternate solution to this limit be, considering the report requests could increase significantly?
    - Only way around this would be to web farm the solution
    If only only 3 reports can be processed at the same time. If one or more of the reports currently processing is taking longer due to receiving large amounts of data, how does that affect the queue? And what is stored in the queue, data and/or the report? Is this something that could consume memory?
    - The report can take as much time as it needs. The result is that one license will not be released until the report is done. There is no data stored, just a pointer to the report. However queued apps will chew up memory, some times to the point of the server becoming unresponsive
    I have read in the documentation on this site, that the dataset sent to the engine is copied in memory during report construction. So if a large amount of data is requested for a report (as an example 10+ MB) Could enough users requesting reports drive the memory up because memory usage doubled due to the dataset?
    - Absolutely. See [Crystal Reports Guide to ADO.NET|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/index?rid=/library/uuid/401c4455-a31d-2b10-ae96-fa57af5aec20].
    Understanding the the CR DLL's are loaded on the first report request, do they get released at some point time due to inactivity or garbage collection? How much memory usage could be consumed when they load and stay resident?
    - No they do not. Not as long as the application is running.

  • Cannot add vCenter as Physical Account in UCS Director 5.0.0

    hello all,
    I am having problem to connect vCenter 5.5U2 from UCS Director 5.0.0. In the add physical account page, there is a mandatory field for cloud name and I have no idea where to setup this on vCenter server in order to add the account successfully. I could not use own cloud name and received error could not connnect to the cloud name. Has anyone in this forum successfully perform this task?
    Any assistance for me is much appreciated.

    Hi, in response to your questions:
    1. software bug on UCS Director 5.0.0.0 or 5.0.0.1.
    I have managed to connect vCenter 5.1 in our environment so don't think it's related to this
    2. unsupported vCenter 5.5U2 integration with current / latest UCS Director software
    The compatibility matrix mentions 5.5, however it doesn't specify if that includes U2 or not, perhaps you could send a screenshot of the configuration as you have it when trying to complete the addition of the virtual account?
    3. no UCS Director pod license. I saw there is no small/medium/ enterise pod licence so this might be an issue.
    Not too familiar with the breakdown of the licensing unfortunately as we have a complete license implemented in our environment, although I would expect vCenter licenses to be part of the base licensing model

  • [Solved] Cannot access non-executable directories

    After I copied some folders and files from CD I had permission denied trying to access as a normal user.
    So I did
    sudo chown -R doctor:users folder
    sudo chmod -R 777 folder
    After that, the folder and files became executable.
    So, in directory Music/ I had some executable folders and files.
    I thought I can make it all non-executable recursively...
    sudo chmod -R -x Music/
    And now it's non-executable.
    But wait
    [doctor@doctor ~]$ cd Music/
    bash: cd: Music/: Permission denied
    I cannot access non executable folders?!
    After I make them executable again, I can access.
    [doctor@doctor ~]$ chmod -R +x Music/
    [doctor@doctor ~]$ cd Music/
    [doctor@doctor Music]$
    wtf?
    Last edited by Doctor Drive (2010-09-15 12:55:44)

    Didn't get how it works though..
    But a way to solve is
    chmod -R 775 Music
    And for files...
    find ./Music/ -type f -exec chmod 664 {} \;
    Though still didn't get why must folders have different permissions...
    Too much to study that chmod thing...

  • Post-provisioning workflow in UCS Director

    Hi
    I created a service request in UCS director (v4.1) to provision a VM.
    Additionally I created/added post-provisioning workflow to that service request with the purpose to sent the custom report upon completing the provisioning process.
    The question here: How I can access the provisioned VM details from my custom workflow task's Cloupia script without asking the user to enter them manually? I am interested to get details like assigned IP address of the VM and its hostname at least and then to build some logic around.
    Thanks in advance

  • UCS Director physical account rights

    I cannot find what the physical accounts minimal rights requierments are?
    This is for UCS Director 5.0 / 5.1.
    For example what needs an account for connectiong a Nexus switch need?
    Does is always need full rights, or can we create an account with only limited rights on the Nexus switch for UCS Director?

    If you want it to do anything, it'll probably need full rights.  If you just want to inventory the switch, you can probably get away with a limited access account.
