  • Actual lot Qty and inspection stock

    Hi,
We are using early inspection for 04 inspection lot. When I release my process order the inspection lot is created. As usual, the first inspection doesn't have Actual lot qty and Insp. stock is checked. Now, when I create new inspection lot for same process order, the inspection lot has Actual lot qty and Insp. stock is unchecked.
In material master Post to insp. stock is checked.
Thanks for your help in advance.

  • Inspection Lot Qty Vs Actual Lot Qty

    Hi All;
I am posting multiple GR's against a Process Order for Eg 1st GR 100 Qty, 2nd GR 200, 3rd GR 300 and after doing this in the Inspection Lot the Inspection Lot Qty shows as 100 and the Actual lot Qty of 600 (sum of GR's) hence the Inspection lot Qty is always less then the actual lot Qty.... is this standard,I was thinking the Inspection Lot Qty gets updated with the Actual Lot Qty and they should match.
    Thanks & Regards

What is the process order quantity when Inspection lot was created? It should be 100.Usually the process order qty will be shown as the inspection lot qty and the GR qty will be shown as the actual lot qty. That's the reason the actual lot qty is equal to your GR qty. Most of the times, these two quantities are same.
As said in the earlier response, for incoming goods the GR qty will be shown as the inspection lot qty and during inspection if you find the received qty is higher or lesser than the GR qty, using QAC1 the actual lot qty is corrected. So, always the actual lot qty is the qty received.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,

  • QM Inspection Lot Qty vs Actual Lot Qty

    Gang,
What is the difference between Inspection Lot Qty vs Actual Lot Qty. And which one of these should get updated when more than one receipt is against the same Material/Batch/SLoc?
    Thanks
    Bruce

Inspection lot Qty & actual lot qty as I remind are most of the time same but when you do the QTy correction through QAC1 ,they come into picture...or may be when you have inspection control defined in the QM view
Inspection lot qty has significance for inspection & calculation of sample size.
When more than one receipt is against the same Material/Batch/SLoc the inspection lot QTy will be Qty for which he material document is created,

  • Updting Actual Lot Quantity

    Hi Everybody,
A material has inspection type 01 active but the Post to insp stock is not checked in the QM view of material master. User did three GRs of quantity 10 each for a batch BAT1. So now the actual lot quantity becomes 30.
When the user did the 3rd GR, he noticed that the GR was not to be done. So he cancelled the material document and reversed the document via movement type 102.
After this he did 2 GRs of quantity 5 each. So now the actual lot quantity of the inspection lot should be 101010-10(for the reversed document)55 = 30.
After this, the user did result recording and UD. Now the inspection lot quantity shown in the system is 40 instead of 30. The goods reversal did not had any effect on the actual lot quantity. The stock is perfectly OK and in MMBE the system shows a quantity of 30 only. The problem is only with actual lot quantity.
    I have two questions :
    1. Why didnt the quantity 10 get subtracted from actual lot quantity ?
    2. After the UD is done, is there any way to correct the actual lot quantity ?
    Regards,
    Manish.

    HI Everybody,
Sorry for not giving clear information on this. The events took place in the following order :
    1. Wrong GR done
    2. Wrong GR reversed via movement 102
(As the batch is same, the quantity was updated in one single inspection lot)
    3. Result recording and UD done
    4. Copmplete stock issued to order
The GR was reversed before taking the UD but still the actual lot quantity didnt get corrected.
    Regards,
    Manish.

  • Inspection Lot quantity change (lot origin 03) when Prod. ord. qty changes?

    Hi,
it seems that for an inspection lot, with lot origin 03:Production, its Inpsection Lot qty doesnt change when the Production order Total Quantity field changes. Only the Actual Inspection Lot changes.
How can the Inspection lot quantity field of the Inspection Lot be changed accordingly?
Should the enhancement PPCO0007 be used?and then LOSMENGE (table QALS) =GAMNG (table AFKO)
    Can it be done?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
In that case, you can do it by :
    - Reread the master data of production order(From Menu Bar).
    - The status of production order will be converted from "Released" to "Created".
    - Release the production order again.
    Thanks

  • Difference in actual qty & inspection lot qty

    Dear gurus
i am in a situation.in the sales order the oty is 3000kg and the delivery made is alos 3000 kg . but when i checked the inspection lot (qa03) in the tab inspection lot qty the actual qty is 3000kg but the inspection lot qty and sample size is showing 2382 kg.what might be the reason.
    sam

    Hi Sam,
3.There is one tab "correct actual Qty" in QA02.Have you made any chnages hee.
    have you checked it,
Once you change this quantity and save, the lot quantity will also set accordingly.
To track the changes for the same for inspection lot, press Cntr + F12 in either QA03 or QA02

  • In process Inspection  Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity difference.

    Hi Experts,
In case of  In process Inspection
Scenario : 1. Production Order created, released but before saving the qty is changed.
                    2. Production Order created released and saved. Then qty is changed in Change Prod order txn.
These scenarios are causing a discrepancy in  Inspection  Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity. Is there any method to avoid this ?
This can be made correct in  Inspection lot by resetting the sample calculation. But once confirmation has started for Prodn Order (not necessarily QC operation) or  RR has been done  resetting is not possible.
Is this the std behavior ? Disallowing the resetting once RR done seems OK, but even if any of the operation in Prodn Order is confirmed it still give status error while resetting. Canceling all the confirmation all the way back  also does not solve the problem.
    Any suggestions ?
    Regards
    Joe

    Hi
Although your suggestion is valid, it is not practical from user point of view.
Moving this thread to QM forum.

when actualized my iphone 4s to ios 6.0.1 music crash with or without phones. Apparently I'm not the only one with this issue

Hi Michael! Thanks for the reply
I live in Norway, and the phone has been either provided by a Norwegian carrier, or bought unlocked from the Norwegian Apple Store. You can check yourself by going to Settings-General-About-Model and type the model number (MC133KN in my case) here: http://iphonefrom.com/en/MC133KN  But it`s unlocked, I placed a Lebara SIM in it and it works perfectly.
If it has been carrier-locked then most(if not all) Norwegian carriers are selling the phones on a 12 months subscription contract. When the 12 months are up, the phone is being unlocked by the carrier either automatically, or upon customer`s request(depends which carrier you use).
It`s good to hear that your 3GS works well with the iOS 6, still after having read about issues after upgrade I have a feel that the upgrade to iOS 6 may be a hit or miss.
I read on a forum that early iPhones can only support 3 major upgrades. Can that be true?

every other email client I have used lets me mark a message as read only when I actually double click and read it. and not just when I preview it.

I will, thanks. It looks like I am keener to use your product than you are for me to use it.

My macbook shut off and wont turn back on. Im pretty sure it is charging. The LED light is on but only when the laptop is closed. Im in grad school and have lots saved. Please Help!

    ronicr76,
First it would be helpful if you post the exact model, year and OS version you have.
    > The LED light is on but only when the laptop is closed<
So that light is the sleep indicator and tells us that the laptop is going to sleep when you close the lid. That would be normal behavior so the machine is still working. Possibly you're experiencing a backlight failure. With the machine supposedly "on" use a flashlight to carefully examine the screen. Do you see the desktop? Yes? machine is still running and something is wrong with the backlight.
You should immediately backup your computer or at the very least pull vital files off. With the computer hooked to another Mac (The way this is done depends on the exact MacBook, E.g.FireWire 800 to FireWire 800.) Then you restart the computer and hold the "t" key down. This puts your MacBook into "target mode":
How to use and troubleshoot FireWire target disk mode
Once your files are off try an SMC reset:
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
Are you able to get the backlight back on by opening and closing the display? Yes? Broken backlight cable refer to qualified service place. Even if it doesn't come on and you can still see the desktop with a flashlight it is still probably the backlight. Could be the a backlight problem also.

  • Is it possible to set BOM's Assy Qty to zero

    Hi All,
We have a requirement that a consumed material is cannot defined how many qty would be consumed.
For example, a SFC will consume a component material (like Ink). User will mount a bottle of ink onto a machine when the ink is empty. In other words, they cannot define how many consumed qty of each SFC, just replace with a new Ink when the ink is empty.
I would like to ask is it possible to record a SFC assemble which Ink inventory_id and don't care consumed qty? I have tried to set Assy Qty to zero, but SAP ME does not allowed.
    Thanks!

SAP has never recognized this legitimate need in BOMs.  There are multiple reasons why they should allow quantity zero:
Reasons Why You Need Qty 0 in BOMs
    1.      A/R Materials (As Required):  Lubricants or Adhesives required to build a product are not rationed out by the drop, or by the bottle, but left to the assembler to determine the appropriate quantity based on SOE instructions.  On the drawings, Engineers will call out A/R (as required) in the qty box.
    2.     Variable qty items:  Shims or trimmer balance weights are issued as one each, but cannot be determined until the assembly of the product occurs.  As appropriate, differing quantities are issued to the product to fit the need for the specific machine being built.
    3.     REF Materials.  Quite often, assembly drawings will need to show the mating interface with other parts of the machine which are not actually part of the assembly.  In this case, we would show the interface as u201CREFu201D on one assembly, but as quantity u201C1u201D on another assembly.
    4.     Tooling:  Tooling needs to be tracked and linked to the assemblies that it is used on.  But it does not get consumed on a one-for-one basis with the assembly.  So we want to use SAP where-used capability by linking each tool within each BOM where it is relevant, but show the quantity as u201C0u201D.  On the drawing tooling is called out as REF.
    5.     Must Choose Optional Choices:  On u201Cassemble-to-orderu201D products, one of several different choices may be needed for various parts of the machine configuration.  These u201Cmust chooseu201D options are items where the machine will not be functional without one of the available choices (such as three choices of tires on a car.  The way these options are handled on the drawings is by showing them with Alpha characters in the quantity field where you u201Cmust chooseu201D one of the u201CAu201D items, one of the u201CBu201D items, and one of the u201CCu201D items to have a fully configured, workable machine.  On the BOMs, we call out all the choices as qty 0, with a note to refer to the customer sales order for which choice has been made.
    6.     May Choose Optional Choices:   On u201Cassemble-to-orderu201D products, in the case where an option is a u201Cmay chooseu201D option you may either order or the option or not; the machine will operate fine either way.  In this case the option would show on the drawing with an u201C*u201D in the quantity field and on the SAP BOM, you would call out quantity u201C0u201D with a note to refer to the customer sales order for which choice has been made.
    7.     Acceptable Substitute Items:  In some cases two interchangeable part numbers may be acceptable to use in the product.  For example, two manufacturers make RF drivers that are fully compatible and work fine in our machine.  But Field Service required the use of two distinct part numbers for reliability tracking, so the drawings allow for either part A or part B to be used.  Depending on the current cost/reliability/availability of the two parts, we will designate one item as quantity u201C1u201D in the SAP BOM and the other item as quantity u201C0u201D.  On the drawing, you call out one item as quantity u201C1u201D and the other as quantity u201C*u201D with a note explaining the ability to substitute one item for the other as desired.
    8.     JIT KIT support:  In order to efficiently procure and build product, we may create documents that are u201Csetsu201D of material that can be procured on a single PO.  So we end up with one set of drawings depicting way the machine is built and resides in the field for the next X years, and another group of drawings defining sets of material in special packaging aiding in efficient build of the product.  On both groups of drawings the quantity would be u201C1u201D (or whatever qty is needed on the machine) but in the SAP BOMs, only the JITKIT BOM would have a quantity >0.  The manufacturing BOMs would call out the u201Csetu201D as qty 1 but all the individual pieces of the set would be called out as qty u201C0u201D.  In that way when you look at the where-use of a component in one of the sets, you would be able to determine what assembly drawings the item appears on, and also which drawing is the u201Cactiveu201D driver of the material.
    9.     Request to move certain items to later in the build process:  Assembly drawings usually show the assembly in the finished state, as the assembly will look out in the field being used by the customer.  But internally in the factory we often desire the assembly to be built to an unfinished level with some pieces missing to allow for easier testing of the full product.  Or we may choose not to put the final cosmetic touches on a machine until close to the shipping point in order to avoid scratching or denting of exterior surfaces.  For example, a modulator assembly will be built with recyclable in-house panels and only have the finished panels swapped out for the recyclable tooling panels at the clean, pack, and ship operation.  Other assemblies will have access panels omitted altogether to allow for easy access for machine tuning in final test.  These missing panels would be added at clean, pack, and ship.  So in the SAP BOMs, we change the quantity from u201C1u201D to u201C0u201D in the assembly BOM, and create separate BOMs showing quantity u201C1u201D with the clean, pack, and ship items that complete the assembly built days or weeks earlier.
We have more than 25,000 occurrences of these types of needs for quantity zero in the BOM.  Our work around (until this SAP "bug" is fixed is to assign qty .001, then uncheck the production and costing relevancy within the BOM (Item Status Long Text).

  • Last Date on which stock Qty was zero

    Dear Gurus,
LIS structure S032 can tell us the date of last GR,Cons., Iss. & movement date. is there any field which tell us the last date on which stock qty was zero ?
    Regards,
    FR

    Dear Bijay Pradhan,
Thank you so much for your response, actualy we are using MCBA to desing a report by which we are determining the data since then the nmaterial has not consumed but we are facing the problem when consuption made and after consumption stock was zero and after 4 or 5 month only GR made  but no consumption made so when we generate report then system shows that the material has not consumed since last 4 or 5 months whcih is wrong because if no consumption made after the stock was zero then system should consider GR date for our report.
can you plz guide me how to resolve the issue?
    Thanks & regards,
