Insp lot required while transfering qty from blocked stock to unrestricted
Hi, say when we recieve 10 qty of goods from vendor, 5 are ok and remaining are not ok, so inspection done and 5 qty putit in blocked stock. now with some minor rework by the vendor (vendor came to our premises and reworked) made it ok, accordingly we need to inspect the reworked parts. pls advise how to map this in sap qm? how insp lot generated, pls explain the process.
Activate inspection type - "08" in material master.
Now do MB1B - mov type 349 - Blocked to QI.
Here system will create insp. lot.
Do inspection of lot if okay then unrestricted.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!!! -
Requirement: Insp lot of self Certified material should not get skipped
Hi Gurus following is req pls suggest me
Requirement: Insp lot of self Certified material should not get skipped
if there is a change in Material Revision. As of now Auto Usage Decision
takes place on Self certified material Lots. This happens even after
there is a material revision. This is undesirable as QC is Not able to
ensure the implementation of design changes.
Appsi have understood the following from ur reply
new revision created by design- purchaser creates po- materials comes in quality - auto skip
quality don't come into picture in ur scenario
solution :
new revision created by design - while creating po they will get error q info record for new revision not present- intimation to quality for creating q info record - decide whether to insp or skip it - normal process
use of q info record
in material master maintain control key for q info record.
create q info record for material, rev, plant , vendor
keep rest evertthing as it is - as a normal procedure material will be skipped
when any new rev is created - while creating po they will get error q info record for new revision not present- QC will get intimation regarding this new rev. -after all approval u can create q info record for this new rev. and then only purchaser will be allowed to create po.
make necesary chages in plan after every new revision -
Actual lot Qty and inspection stock
Hi,
We are using early inspection for 04 inspection lot. When I release my process order the inspection lot is created. As usual, the first inspection doesn't have Actual lot qty and Insp. stock is checked. Now, when I create new inspection lot for same process order, the inspection lot has Actual lot qty and Insp. stock is unchecked.
In material master Post to insp. stock is checked.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Bhavesh PatelDear

Batch status at recurring insp lot creation
We have setu recurring insp 09 for few materials. We use "insp stock at creation" option. So system work as expected and create lot and put stock in QI, but still batch status remain "unrestricted". Our req is at the time of lot creation it self system should set batch status as "restricted". How to setup it?
When system setup "restricted" status for recurring batch? Help appreciated.check option
Recurring Inspection: Block Batch at Lot Creation
Specifies, that a batch is blocked, when the inspection lot is created, if the inspection date lies within the opening period.
Use
If you choose this option, batches are blocked, if their next inspection date lies within the opening period:
If the batch status management is active in the corresponding plant, the batch status is changed to "restricted".
If the batch status management is not active in the corresponding plant, the batch stocks are transferred to the blocked stock.
If the batch status has changed or a transfer posting takes place, a new inspection lot is created for each storage location.
If a relevant inspection lot already exists and the next inspection date has already been reached, the change of the batch status or the transfer posting also takes place -
Dear All,
senario is as below
we are doing 313 movt within the same plant for stock transfer after 313 stock will be in transit after that we
do 315 movt for recieving of the stock.
settings done insp activated for 313 and 315 movt types and 08 insp type is activated in M.M.
but system is not creating insp lots and the stock directly goes into unrest use.
can any body suggest what setting is missing?
your suggestions will be highly appreciated
Thanks
AnilHi Anil
when you post using 315 mvt. type, system will create inspection lot
plz. check @ OMJJ -- for the 315 mvt.type -- QM should be active --> then system will create inspection lot
before that make sure Mat. master for that material 08 insp. active ,and post to inspection stock,task /mat spec, and Automatic assignment and characteristc --> these fields to be active
let me know if u need further detail

Reg insp lot at the time of delivary
Dear all,
To carryout insp at the time of delivary , I have give insp type-12 in material master and in customization assigned insp type to delivary document type,at the time of delivary we are getting error as "status of insp lot no 120000000052 patial lot 00000 does not allow goods issue", although we are doing delivary for total qty we are getting this error, please help me in solving it.
Thanking you allHi,
If your assign the Inspection at delivery level means follow the below step.
1. Save the delivery document without PGI. After saving the delivery system create the inspection lot.
2. Clear the Inspection lot (result recording & Usage Decision by using QA32)
3. After complete the UD only system will allow to do the PGI (Go to change mode delivery and do the PGI)
Note: Condition for PGI UD should be accepted. If UD has been rejected cancel delivery.

Dear all,
One material which is sometimes used in plant and sometimes sent to subcontractor as a component , if it is procured from
same vendor and when it is coming to plant for usage we should get insp lot and when it is sent to subcontractor we do logical
GR in the plant and material is directly sent to subcontractor at which we donot want insplot .
here material and vendor are same
Please advice
regards
venkatGot your point.
Look, when you are physically receiving it, in MIGO receive the material with mvt type 101, normally as you do.
In case the material goes to the subcontractor and you make your GR, make the following:
Receive the material with MIGO with mvt type 103, this will not create FI document yet, the material will be in the blocked stock, after that release it with mvt type 105, this will create the FI doc you need.
Now the problem is the inspection lot, because in the standard system, mvt type 105 creates inspection lot, therefore deactivate QM on mvt types of 105, and that will stop the creation of inspection lots.

How to get the total record in the block before save them
Hello,
I need to recalculate the amout for all records in one block before saving them.
How can I get it?
Thanks for your helpingYou write a loop, something like this:
Go_block('B1');
If not form_success then
Raise Form_Trigger_failure;
End if;
First_Record;
If not form_success then
Raise Form_Trigger_failure;
End if;
Loop
If :system.record_status in('CHANGED','INSERT') then
-- modify the record here--
End if;
Exit when :System.Last_Record = 'TRUE';
Next_Record;
End Loop;
First_Record;But be very careful-- If your block can fetch a large number of rows, (over 100), this loop can take a long time, and you should not use this method. The loop will continue fetching more rows from the database until all rows satisfying the query are retrieved. -

aqueelHi,
After going thru the SLED process in SAP i think your Scenario can well handled IF SLED is activated to your plants and you can arrest the GR with Movt types
As this is more relevant to MM sit with your MM consultant and configure SLED
Before That please understand the entire process of SLED Ref the Link:

In process Inspection Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity difference.
Hi Experts,
In case of In process Inspection
Scenario : 1. Production Order created, released but before saving the qty is changed.
2. Production Order created released and saved. Then qty is changed in Change Prod order txn.
These scenarios are causing a discrepancy in Inspection Lot Qty and Actual Lot quantity. Is there any method to avoid this ?
This can be made correct in Inspection lot by resetting the sample calculation. But once confirmation has started for Prodn Order (not necessarily QC operation) or RR has been done resetting is not possible.
Is this the std behavior ? Disallowing the resetting once RR done seems OK, but even if any of the operation in Prodn Order is confirmed it still give status error while resetting. Canceling all the confirmation all the way back also does not solve the problem.
Any suggestions ?
Regards
JoeHi
Although your suggestion is valid, it is not practical from user point of view.
Moving this thread to QM forum.

Production Order Qty- Inspection Lot Qty
Hi Guru's,
When an production order is relreased an inspection lot is creaetd with the production Qty. But later when we change Qty for the released Prodction Order the inspection lot Qty is not changes it remains the same as previous Order Qty.
Say for Ex: intial Prod order qty (MTS Scenario) is 200 (production order released). Inspection lot Qty is 200.
Later User changes the Qty to 100. Our problem is the inspection lot qty does not change ramins the same as 200. Can inspection lot qty be changed automically on change of production order qty .
What settings need to change? pls advise
Regards,
Sankaran
Edited by: Sankaran M on Oct 10, 2008 9:41 AMHi Sankaran,
It is possible if the user not doing any result against existing lot.
Follow the Below step.
Your Existing order Qty = 200 Nos Inspection lot no 300000200.
Now you want change the Qty as 200 to 100.
Before change the qty, first you have to delete the Inspection lot Go to CO02 -> Got to menu Functions -> Inspection lot -> Delete.
Now change the Qty 100.
And Again go to Functions -> Inspection Lot -> Create. and save the order.
Now system will delete the Old indpection lot and create the new inspection lot.
Qty : 100 Inspection Lot 300000201.

Inspection Lot Qty Vs Actual Lot Qty
Hi All;
I am posting multiple GR's against a Process Order for Eg 1st GR 100 Qty, 2nd GR 200, 3rd GR 300 and after doing this in the Inspection Lot the Inspection Lot Qty shows as 100 and the Actual lot Qty of 600 (sum of GR's) hence the Inspection lot Qty is always less then the actual lot Qty.... is this standard,I was thinking the Inspection Lot Qty gets updated with the Actual Lot Qty and they should match.
Thanks & RegardsWhat is the process order quantity when Inspection lot was created? It should be 100.Usually the process order qty will be shown as the inspection lot qty and the GR qty will be shown as the actual lot qty. That's the reason the actual lot qty is equal to your GR qty. Most of the times, these two quantities are same.
As said in the earlier response, for incoming goods the GR qty will be shown as the inspection lot qty and during inspection if you find the received qty is higher or lesser than the GR qty, using QAC1 the actual lot qty is corrected. So, always the actual lot qty is the qty received.
Hope it helps.
Thanks,

QM Inspection Lot Qty vs Actual Lot Qty
Gang,
What is the difference between Inspection Lot Qty vs Actual Lot Qty. And which one of these should get updated when more than one receipt is against the same Material/Batch/SLoc?
Thanks
BruceInspection lot Qty & actual lot qty as I remind are most of the time same but when you do the QTy correction through QAC1 ,they come into picture...or may be when you have inspection control defined in the QM view
Inspection lot qty has significance for inspection & calculation of sample size.
When more than one receipt is against the same Material/Batch/SLoc the inspection lot QTy will be Qty for which he material document is created, -
Insp.lot after rework order confirmation
Dear all,
My client requirement:
they want insp.lot when they confirm rework order.I can activate inspection to 531 mvt.type.but they are using 531 for other purposes also.so can i do any setting in Rework order type so that it should create inspection lot.
it is urgent plz reply soon
thx®ds
prasadHi,
It is possible to generate inspection lot of inspection lot origin 03 if you configure in OPL8 transaction. It is used for inprocess inspection and its not stock relevant.
As you want to generate inspection lot for By porduct ( 531 Mtype) above config setting will not work for you. I suggested new movemet type as you mentioned that 531 mtype is used for some other purpose.
You also mention the if user forget to enter the custom movement type . As they need to confirm the by product they need to user 531 or custom movement type. you can remove the authorization for 531 movement type so that they can not use this.
