Basically the problem set is, my client wants to enter the term date as date and time, but by default the term date comes with calendar popup that does not support time entry also from user form.
Yes, it is correct that we can use date as well as string, and the solution proposed is like we add 3 drop down along with the term date,
first drp down contains hours HH, second MM and third location (For maintaining the office location)
I want an advise on below things:
1. Does OIM supports globalisation and localization concept. meaning the date time is maintined as location specific or do i need to save location somewhere and create a lookup field where all the locaitons and there difference of timezones are kept?
2. Can i have a calendar replaceed by date time calender so that i can get rid of drop downs?
3. If not, which is the best way of updating my term date with time also, will event handler work here?

MS Word Web Service Interface: bad format of date and currency fields

I am using MS Word Web Service interface to create contract documents. However, my date and currency fields show in a strange format. Date is in"YYYY-MM-DD" format, while currencies always have "." as decimal separator (probably technical values). My user settings are "DD.MM.YYYY" for dates and "n.nnn,dd" for decimal numbers.
My workaround is to create a Z structure for WS interface with char fields and then do conversion through CRM_WST_RT_BADI->OUTBOUND_PROCESSING method. This works, but requires a lot of custom development.
Is there a way to "tell" the interface to use correct formats in MS Word without doing it all manually through custom fields?

I dont suppose we have any option to achieve this at Query Designer level. Your requirement can be achieved in Workbook,
Insert text template in one of the cell in your workbook, context menu--properties-Constant Tab----Check Display last Refreshed. Doing this you will get Date and Time of last refreshed data.

    I have some question about how to compare table data and table field.
   1. I know there is one method:   CL_ABAP_UNIT_ASSERT=>ASSERT_TABLE_CONTAINS , it use in unit test to compare the table data(A and B) , you can loop table A into structure A1, then use this mehtod it can compare whether table B contain structure A1. but when I try to use this in main program it will dump.
          CL_ABAP_UNIT_ASSERT=>ASSERT_TABLE_CONTAINS(
                                                                                                    LINE    = A1
                                                                                                    TABLE = B ).
       Is there any method or FM can be used to compare the table data ?
    2. I also want to compare two table field , try to find out the different. How to realize this.

What`s the difference, if you using loop A into wa_A, read table B into wa_B with all field, then compare with wa_A and wa_B.
The question 2, seems no standard FM available here.
Loop A into wa_A.
   Loop B into wa_B.

Timezone effects on Date and Timestamp fields in af:query component

I'm working on an ADF application where time zone is configured as follows:
* Dynamic View Layer time zone is configured in trinidad-config.xml file and bound to a session scoped value:

</adf-config>The problem here is that Dates and Timestamp values work as expected all over the application except for the af:query component. When displayed as af:inputDate in af:form, Dates and Timestamp values are NOT getting converted to the time zone (TZ) configured in trinidad-config.xml file, whereas TimestampTz and TimestampLtz are. However, when displayed in af:query component, Dates and Timestamp values are automatically converted to View Layer TZ after a search has been performed.
For example, say View Layer TZ = US/Pacific and we enter 01/jun/2011 as a search criteria of type Date and then click on the Search button. The displayed value automatically changes to 25/nov/2011, that is, it gets converted to the WLS JVM time zone, which is set to Europe/London.
Is conversion of Date and Timestamps in af:query component the expected behaviour or could this be a bug?
Is there any way to avoid this conversion?

I am Using the bapi SD_SHIPMENT_HEADER_CHANGE in my program ...
I am using bapi_shipemnt_create for creating shipment document but, trying to enter the date fileds using this bapi .
can anybody please tell me how shud i pass this variables exactly ...
i tried giving test data and checked this bapi .. the result in changing parameters is also appearing but in databade itself the date fields are not getting reflected ...

Date and time field help

Hey guys and gals,
I'm working on a basic simple form that I'd like to use as a fax cover sheet and I'm brand new at this and I just can't find the answer anywhere. The only way I can get it to show the date and time is if I choose calculated - read only, then runtime property. But then it changes every time you open the document. It doesn't autofill the date and time any other way. Is there a way to make the date and time auto fill ONLY the first time you fill it out and then lock that field? Or do you just have to choose one of the other options, i.e., user entered - optional, recommended or required and then type it in? Which I don't really get either, because those just give you a blank field that you type in. I don't see the difference between those options and a text field. I thought maybe I could upload the pdf to show you, but I guess you can't do that here. Anyway using Acrobat 9 pro on Vista.

JDCB Driver not doing data transformation on Julian dates and amount fields

Hi All,
In our newly installed BI Publisher instance (10.1.3) is not doing any data transformation on JDE Julian dates and Decimals. I've read that these field values are supposed to be converted automatically. Is there some setting in the JDEJDBC driver connection that makes this happen?
While working with Oracle support I've found the following:
1. Beware of white space in the collection string.
2. Make sure the JDE user logging in goes straight to JDE and has full view privlidges on the tables you are selecting on.
3. Parameters are not supported by the JDEJDBC Driver -- this pretty much renders this application worthless. Does anyone know of any workarounds?

Trying to bind XML data and form fields

I have a fairly simple PDF - and I am trying to bind XML data to he form fields.
In the designer I can bring up the data connection and
select Global - for the binding method - and as I understand it - this will link Form Fields and XML data fields with the same name - (sounds logical to me)
but all that happens is :
I see the name of the field in the form field rahter than seeing the actual data
should I select : None as the binding or normal ....
but Normal doesnt show Anything - even after i select it .
I can't quite seem to make this work -
Any help here would be appreciated

Hi everybody,
I'm using the CLLocation class and I cannot find any documentation on it in google. DO you know where it is ?
I know how to get the timestamp for the date, but here are some questions about it :
-Does this date include the timezone value so I know from my position what is the timezone ?
-How to convert the timestamp (NSDate instance I think) into a NSCalendar with which I could get the timezone information ?

Because the Timezone isn't part of the timestamp for a date.
This is one thing that Java got right. Think of it this way. There is no such thing as just 9.am. It's 9am in a specific place (timezone) on the Earth. Because at the same time it's 9am in one timezone it's 1pm in another timezone and 11:30 am in another timezone. etc. But all these representations of the time actually hold the exact same long millisecond value.
So you never hold the timezone as part of the date. Timezones are only used for display or for parsing a value in.

Hi,
Execute Fbl3n and go the change layout icon (Ctrl + F8), you will find the fields.Selec the hidden fields to Line 1 and click on copy, you will see all the fields you need.You can also save the layout ( Ctrl + F12).
Just a suggestion.Give the full name of fields cpudate field .It will more easy to advice you whether the field is there or not in layout screen.
Please let me know if you need more information.

Core data and Populate field programmatic

Hi
On a window i have a couple of controls Combo box, Text field and a few buttons
all linked to core data which is working perfect ish
if I select the combo box and change the value its updated in core data straight away
if I press a button it put a value in the text box but doesn't update the code data field until i click in the field and add a space or something simular ..
is it a focus thing, the field don't lose focus until I have done it manually
can someone point me in the right direction for this
just want to click a button , put that value in the textbox and core data is updated without having to click in the text box
