UDI wizard - cut and paste items

Using SCCM 2012 with MDT 2012. I currently have a custom HTA that I use to gather task sequence variables, but I'd like to use the UDI wizard. I want to prune to it right down to be as "zero-touch" as possible. Currently the only information I
gather is the computer Name, MDT role and X86 or X64 image so trying to replicate that
If I customise the page for New Computer Details for example I don't want the Network details or Join Domain credentials so ideally I'd like to cut and paste the Computer Name Settings bit only into a custom page
Is this possible ?

  • N8 Photo Editing - how to use the cut and paste?

    Hello,
I am trying to edit some photos - there is a an option to use an ellipse or magic wand.  I thought that was to cut and paste from the photos.
All I can do is select and area - but how do I cut it.
I tried save, but it saves the whole image...
Or am I just doing this wrong...
    Thanks,

I was hoping to use the ellipse or magic want to cut and paste items in a certain shape to paste on other photos.
I could do this on my N95-4.
So there is no way to photo edit with cut and paste?
Any idea what the ellipse and magic wand function do, and how do they work?
    Thanks,

  • How to cut and paste multiple items

How can you cut and paste multiple items on the clipboard?

Just go to Security & Privacy, unlock it with your admin password...
...and under the "General" tab allow applications... tick "Anywhere". After the install, I'd change it back. You can also just control-click the app/installer and select "Open" - you'll get a warning that the app is from an unidentified developer, but it will open.
    Good luck,

  • Cut-and-paste from Windows notepad to webforms text item?

I can copy text from a Windows program such as notepad and paste it into a text item ina a client/server version of a form, but if I run the same form over the web, I lose the cut-and-paste functionality. Is it possbile to cut-and-pastee text into a webform text item?
    Thank you!
    Tom

You can do this on the web but yu require an extra step. Have a look at the browser setting - you need to ensure that
you are able to run unsigned applets.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cut and paste not working in iphoto

I can't cut and paste between events in iPhoto any longer.  i tried flagging a photo but the add flag item to event was grayed out. how can you move photos between events.  i tried dragging but page didn't scroll very well so was a little inefficient

I see, in the "Photos" album I cannot cut and paste either. I can cut the photo from the event, but not paste it into a different event, because It is impossible to select the event for pasting in the Photos album.
@ Terence Devlin, is pasting into an event supposed to work inside the Photos album?
I can paste into an event in the Events view. And dragging and dropping between events is working well in the Photos view.
i tried flagging a photo but the add flag item to event was grayed out.
This cannot work in Photos view, because "Add flagged items to the selected event" requires an event to be selected, an in the Photos album is no selected event. You can create a new event from the flagged photos and drag this event on top of the event where you want them to go.
So, I am afraid you will have to switch between the Photos album and the Events view to move your photos around.

  • Why can't I cut and paste photos between project?

I recently made the transition from iPhoto to Aperture. One of the weird things is that I can't cut and paste photos between projects. In iPhoto this is an easy way to organize your projects if some photos are in the wrong place.
You also can't split projects, in iPhoto you can do this easily. Say, if two day's photos ending being in the same project, in iPhoto there's a button that you split them in the middle. Is there something like this in Aperture?

    Copy and Paste:
In iPhoto "copy and paste" was possible, because it was not possible in the early versions, to see both projects at the same time, the one you are moving from, and the one you are moving to.
In Aperture you simply drag from the source project to the destination project to move image versions around. Also, it is easy to see more than one project in the Browser at the same time, see: Aperture 3 User Manual: Working with Two or More Browsers Open
To drag to another project, select the images in the project, then drag to the other project in the source list, for example:
To split a project, select the images you want to have in the split part, then create a new project from these images: Enable the check mark "Move selected items to new project". This will split the original project.

  • Why can't i cut and paste

Downloaded the new Mountain Lion and now I can't cut and paste. Tried the keyboard shortcuts and the drop down menu with no luck. Also can't accomplish this from right clicking. Any ideas?

    Hi elg07,
Welcome to the Safari Discussions Forum. It's interesting you should mention that.
I did a quick 'drop-down' of the Edit menu, and those facilities are greyed out, but as soon as I highlighted the subject matter of your post, lo and behold, the cut & paste facilities appeared in black, so it is possible to copy & paste, provided you run the cursor over the item or passage you wish to copy (mine highlights in yellow), you should be able to copy and paste.
    Hope this helps.

Hi Everyone.  I have an old Mac Book with software updated to 10.6.8.  I have saved a ton of emails in my inbox 'On My Mac'.  There are so many it is slowing down my computer.  Where do I find the folder with all the emails so I can cut and paste them to an external hard drive? Pls.help.  Tks.

Depending on which email client software you use
the files should be in 'your home folder' library, esp.
if you use Mail application.... ~/Library/Mail
Since you don't specify what mail application,
that would most be associated with the file.
I notice there are some items to the right of your post
where it says "more like this' so that may be worth a
look to see if similar issues were answered. Also, the
Help viewer in your system is a searchable database.
Seems that google also brings up fair information, too.
Do you have a complete bootable clone of your entire
Mac system on an externally enclosed hard disk drive?
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • I just cut and pasted photos from the phone into my HP and now I can't open the files in the computer.

I just cut and pasted photos from my Iphone into my HP.
NOw when I go and try to open the files from the computer it's giving me an error:
    INVALID IMAGE
The file format is not supported or is invalid
WHat's confusing is that all files copy into my computer are already JPG. I have not changed anything, simply cut photos from my phone and copy them in my computer.
I need help !!! I have a lot of my baby photos and videos that I really want to recover.
    PLEASE !
    thank you

Try using a photo import utility or application for this instead of doing it the archaic manual way. Even Windoze includes a scanner and camera wizard that can be used for this.

  • CS4 cutting and pasting from illustrator expands appearance

I'm working within CS4 taking a few simple vectors and pasting into ID, Everything seems to work except a few images which the strokes are converted to fills.
The illustrator file has multiple artboards but other items cut and paste perfectly.
Is there anyway to fix this? I've tried throwing a clipping mask around it, grouping, ungrouping, dragging... And I can't get it to work.
    Here's the file if it'll help: https://www.yousendit.com/download/Y1RwcHBFNXZCMTVMWEE9PQ

Do you know where the complex vs. simple starts and ends?
At the point that ID doesn't support the constuct natively.
I know that answer is less than useless. If you can figure it out, you'll probably also have a great future at the track or as a stock picker (and I don't mean in a warehouse).

  • Cut and Paste in Finder

I'm new to Mac and just wondering how I cut and paste, I know how to copy and paste.

To elaborate on the other answer:
    1) The inability to cut and paste is a protection against cutting an "icon" - the file or folder - and then getting distracted and not pasting it, thereby effectively erasing it.
    2) If you have both the source window (where the item is) and the target window (where the item's going) you can just drag it from one spot to another. That's obvious, and the problem is that you don't usually have the target window open. But you can use "spring-loaded folders" to make this work without having the target window open:
    - In Finder preferences, General tab, check "Spring-loaded folders and windows" on - leave the Delay setting at Medium, or set it closer to Long till you get used to the feel of this.
    - Back in the Finder, grab the icon you want to "cut and paste" and drag it to the folder that holds the target folder (even if the target folder is nested a few levels deeper). DON'T LET GO of the icon! Hover over the folder and it springs open - this works even if you're hovering over a folder in the sidebar; drag the icon over the next folder you need opened, let it spring open, and so on. When you get to where you want it to go, drop the icon there. (Drop it in the wrong place - Undo moves it back to the original location).

how do you cut and paste on an imac

If you're talking about cut and paste as you would do with files and folder on a Windows box you do it in a round about way.
Either Copy ⌘C, (Yes copy not cut), and then move, ⌘⌥V (a variation on paste ⌘V).
    If you're a mouser.
Right click the File and choose Copy from.....
The right click the folder you want to move it to but hold down the option key and Paste item.....
...will change to Move item here.

  • How to cut and paste in os x lion

if i need to cut a folder and paste it somewhere else ,, what would i do ? also in the edit menu i find the cut option is inactive ,,why ? any help

The above instructions will make a copy of the file in the new location, leaving the original in its place.
    To CUT and paste you:
    (1) Highlight file/folder, and copy from Edit menu or command-c.
    (2) Navigate to destination, hold option key down and select "Move item here" from Edit menu, or hit option-command-v.
This will move the file to the new location, removing the file from the old location.

  • How to cut and paste subtitles (with formatting)?

In iMovie '09, once I've formatted a subtitle to look the way I want, how can I repeatedly cut and paste that subtitle so that I don't need to redo the formatting for every subsequent subtitle?
I realize this is probably trivial once you see it ... but it's not obvious to me. Couldn't find it in Help or in Apple's FindOutHow movie.
