UE-V 2 fails to sync once installed

can not get UE-V to work.......
I am using default settings through GPO as well as home directory as storage location. when I try to manual sync I get the following:
Error - Event ID 15000
Sync Now failed with error code: 3
the auto sync function fails with the following
Information - Event ID 507
The synchronization process failed with error 3. Settings data may not have been synchronized with the settings storage location. Try running the synchronization process again by launching it using the "Company Settings Center" console.
The message I get from the company settings center is "An error occurred" which does not help anyone
Any Ideas?

Look at the event viewer logs for hints.

Is anything writing to home drives?  Are you using custom templates or vanilla out of box templates?  Are your templates stored on a DFS share by chance?  I had problems originally when storing our templates on DFS.  I had to move them
off DFS and onto a simple SMB share.  I hear this is fixed in the 2.1 beta, but I cannot confirm.

  • Cisco Unified Provisioning Manager (CUPM) 8.7 fails when syncing a freshly installed CUCM 8.6.2

I am facing an extremely annoying issue while evaluating CUPM 8.7 with CUCM 8.6.2.
The goal of the exercise is to build the business case for buying the product - but based on the results below it seems to achieve the opposite.
The initial Sync of a "virgin" CUCM (just installed from scratch with default config) fails consistently with
    ERROR: Failed to sync ConferenceBridge
    ERROR: Failed to sync VoiceMailPort
    ERROR: Failed to sync VoiceMailPilot
    ERROR: Failed to sync VoiceDeviceGroup
ERROR: Sync aborted due to errors.
However the sync works fine with CUCM 8.0 and CUC 8.6.2
If anyone has a solution, please share. I have spent hours and still not being able to figure out what the bug is.
I see SOAP errors in the CUPM

CUOM 2.3 and CUOM 8.0 support only CUCM up to 8.0.  For CUCM 8.5 support you will want to upgrade to CUOM 8.5
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_unified_operations_manager/8.5/device_support/OMdevspt85.html
The jump from CUOM 2.3 to 8.5 will require an upgrade license.  You may use Upgrade Tool and work with your sales/account team for further details on procurement.
    http://www.cisco.com/upgrade
In addition you may download an evalution copy from http://www.cisco.com/go/cuom which will become a full version once applying the appropriate licenses.  In your case CUOM 2.0 + CUOM 8.0 upgrade.
With CUOM 8.0 you will have to install on a clean system , absent of any CUOM 2.x software, further information on 8.x installation and prerequisites may be found under Install and Upgrade at above CUOM link.

Not with your current user id.
Far too much uneccesary information in your post, which only confuses things, a vast amount!
    Let's start with iTunes.
Have you updated iTunes to 11.1.5, because the previous version did appear to have an issue about seeing iPods?
With iTunes 11.1.5 installed, look in Edit/Preferences/Devices, (or use the ALT key, followed by the E key and then the F key) and make sure that the box named Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically does not have a tick in the box.
Once you have doen those two things, check to see if the iPod is seen by iTunes.

    Really?
OS stands for Operating System. (In computer speak, IO means Input/Output.)
iOS originally stood for iPhone Operating System, but it now refers to the iPod Touch and iPhone. The iPod Classic, which you have listed in your profile as your iPod, does not use iOS.
I assume that you have been listening to the Podcast in your iTunes on the computer as you cannot transfer it to your iPod. It's what I'd do.

  • WSYNCMGR.LOG Failed to Sync Update. Failed to Save Update.

I recently had to re-install WSUS on an SCCM 2012 SP1 server which had a problem where the EULA's were not being downloaded by WSUS for any updates which needed them.  Even attempting to download the updates within the WSUS console generated an error
about being unable to locate the EULA file.
I re-installed WSUS with a fresh DB, which caused SCCM 2012 SP1 to immediately expire and remove the updates it had previously synchronised.  This took a horrendous amount of time (at least 6 hours) for it to process all of the changes to the packages
    and deployments etc.
    This did resolve the issue within WSUS regarding approving EULA'd updates, but I am now unable to perform a software updates sync with the following errors being recorded in the wsyncmgr.log;

These same errors occur for many updates and cause the sync to fail due to consecutive failures.
It looks to me like this MAY be happening only for Expired/Superceded updates and/or updates for which Configuration Manager has previously synchronised.  A handful of updates HAVE made it into the console, but only ones never before synchronised.  I
have searched for and trawled several blog posts for similar errors but these all seem to relate to errors in the objreplmgr.log and child sites - which I do not see any errors in there and this issue is with my primary site.  The primary site DOES however
have two child Secondary sites, so I am wondering if there is a data mismatch somewhere.
I tried replicating the issue in my lab environment and no matter what I did, even hitting some of the tables directly to upset it, I could not replicate the problem to begin to try solutions.
I am very close to having to open up a call with MS, but wondered if anyone had any ideas?
This does raise a few questions regarding DR scenarios too - as to how important IS the SUSDB, how best and when to back it up and if it is expected behavior for SCCM to wipe out it's configuration if it is sync'd with a fresh WSUS install?
    My Personal Blog: http://madluka.wordpress.com

I just can't replicate this in my lab environment, and I am thinking that this is some sort of collateral damage done by the July patch applied by the customer that breaks SQL replication and also causes WSUS Sync issues.  We didn't ever remove that
patch but instead implemented the SQL workarounds but this may just have resolved 'some' of the issues the patch caused.  The annoying thing is that the day we implemented the workaround and proceeded to uninstall/reinstall WSUS and resync SCCM, Microsoft
released the updated version of the patch later that day (UK time) - wonderful timing.

  • IPod Classic will not sync since installed iTunes 11

iPod Classic will not sync properly since installed new iTunes. Always stops at or around song 2 and just hangs there, even if left all night. Tried restoring the iPod, made no difference. Tried syncing just some songs, sometimes it will do 20 or so but not more than that - and I have 10,000 songs.
Saw something about problem with Winsock and reset that but no effect.
Recently been re-recording CDs in Apple Lossless with 'Convert to AAC' selected for iPod. Maybe the conversion process is causing the block? But it did not before.
I also tried moving the itunes material from the Synology NAS to the PC as I thought the processing power might be the problem. It synced once after that, now it is blocked again. Tonight I tried selecting only the original AAC files and it seems to have worked for them, my problem therefore seems to be the Apple Lossless - unless the syncing of AAC files is another one-off.
Not for the first time I wish I had not updated iTunes because it so often leads to problems of some kind. Why do they not care?
    Any

Update: following successful sync of AAC files, I changed the setting to 'manual' for music & videos, used the View menu to restore the old sidebar, and manually added the Lossless files to the IPod. That actually seems to be working (very slowly). But it would be better if Sync worked as it should.

  • IPod Touch (2nd generation) fails to sync correctly under Windows 7 SP1.

My 2nd generation iPod touch has started acting strange since I installed the latest service pack to Windows 7. It worked fine prior to this, but since I've updated to service pack 1, I've been unable to sync my applications properly and when I attempt to restore the iPod to the original factory settings I get the following message: "The iPod "iPod" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (6)". I've attempted both an update on an existing Windows 7 installation and on a "clean" installation where I install the OS, then the service pack and then the iTunes software (latest version 10.2.0.34). The second method worked to sync my iPod touch intially, but a day later after I downloaded updates to some of my purchased apps, these programs failed to sync to the iPod as they were not "signed". I've authorized and deauthorized my computer as suggested, uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and backed up my iTunes library as suggested. The problem continues and I'm more than a little frustrated by this. The sync fails and I end up with a iPod with NO content on it. Or, when the restore fails I have an iPod that's looking for a connection to iTunes. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • ITunes failing to sync, and error message 1621

A few days ago, my iTunes, upon noticing my iPod touch plugged in, reported that it had failed to sync do to a "dataclass error". The message said something along the lines of "iTunes was unable to load from dataclass services. try reconnecting." I did just that, unplugging the iPod and plugging it back in. This time, iTunes again failed to sync, saying that it was entirely incapable of interacting with the iPod, suggesting that I restore the thing. Though frustrated, I did that. 2 hours later, the iPod was fully synced from back up, and the problem was seemingly solved.
But now it just happened again, only worse. After telling me to try restoring, and after 5 minutes of iTunes trying to restore the iPod, it finally reported that it was unable to, reporting an "error message 1621, unkown error occured, unable to restore iPod." So, now I can't sync my iPod. Not only is iTunes currently unable to interact with it, it can no longer restore it either.
What's going on? Also, if it helps, this didn't start occuring until after I installed the 2.0 update. I have iTunes v7.7.1.11, and my iPod touch is updated to version 2.02.

i am having the same problem as well. anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?

  • Sync failure because itunes sync server failed to sync the iPhone

I have an iPhone sync problem that started when I updated to iTunes 7.4.2. One person's solution of removing the "MobileSync" folder did not work for me. (Note that my MobileSync Folder is in my Library/Application Support Folder.) So, I am still searching for the fix. Here is the exact error message that I have been getting for about a month now, "iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPhone "My iPhone" because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone." I already tried re-installing iTunes and restarting the iPhone, both to no avail. PLEASE HELP!

I am running Mac OS 10.4.10 and with it, now, the Syncing is performed with the .Mac System Preference, not with iSync.
    For a .Mac account only.
FYI, If you press the "Advanced" Button within the .Mac System Preference, there is a "Reset Sync Data..." Button available that basically does something similar.
This is not similar and is for a .Mac account only - this feature provides for resetting synced data on your computer from the .Mac servers or resetting synced data on the .Mac servers from your Mac.
iSync is the conduit for syncing cell phones other than the iPhone or another device such as a Palm Pilot and using Reset Sync History clears the sync history for such devices including the iPhone.

  • Why do my apps & music keep failing to sync from my computer to my phone?

I have recebtly updated my iTunes and iOS to 5.1.  It failed to restore my phone (iphone 4) the first couple of times but now that my phone is up and running the apps have failoed to sync from my PC to my phone.  Everytime I select the apps I want and sync They one by one fail to sync with the message "iTunes Sync : 'BBC News failed to install" for example.  I have also had issues syncing my music.  Everytime I update the software on my phone it wipes the music off and then despite me clicking the selections of songs/albums to sync it NEVER syncs them.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • MacG4 now fails to sync with Visor deluxe

Same old story I am afraid.
My venerable Visor deluxe has been syncing with my Mac G4 running 10.4.11 using a travel USB cable (the one without a button) and Isync for years.
The Palm desktop system was 4.0 and hotsync worked fine.
A month or two ago this ceased. The Visor said there was no connection and Isync failed to detect the Visor,  counting down and inviting me to push the Hotsync button then went ahead without the Visor.
I figured it was a broken USB cable, especially as it began connecting at one point then stopped after about ten seconds.
So I got a new cable. This one is a Sitecom one, left over from the days of system 9 it appears, and it has a sync button on the side. The manual talks about configuring the modem to a PL20303 but I hope it actually works as normal with modern connections. Yet the visor still will not call up the palm software or be recognised by Isync.  I have reinstalled Palm desktop 4.0 and worryingly it failed to complete its install, jamming at UPD205.prc and later at anotherUPD number.
Any suggestions for working this one out?
    Many thanks
    Post relates to: Visor Deluxe

Updating my own post as investigation has advanced.
It seems to be a hardware problem as I managed to borrow another Visor de luxe and successfully hotsynced it using all of my cables.
The faulty Visor works fine in every regard except launch the desktop when the sync button is pressed. Instead it puts up a connecting message and then times out. Putting the applications out on the desktop of the computer does not make any difference.
Soft or hard resets do not make any difference so it looks like hardware - as I said everything else works fine.

Glad you got things to sync, just a quick thought.
4.1.4 is a rather old version of Palm Desktop.  I would have suggested you try 4.1.4E, as it was designed for later devices and has some updated USB drivers in it...
