  • MSI GTX 770 4Gb/DDR5 OC GPU usage is 0%

    Hi Guys,
I've noticed that when I'm using the "MSI Game App" for OC my GTX770 to game mode or OC mode,
when benchmarking the card with "MSI Kombustor" I see that the GPU load stays at 0% all the time (using the MSI Afterburner SW).
Only when I'm switching the "MSI game App" to Normal mode, or shutting it down it completely and performing Benchmark tests again, the GPU load is rising up to 97%-99% usage.
Using the MSI Afterburner for monitoring the sensors, shows the same results in all scenarios - I can see the core temperature is climbing, but the GPU load stays at 0% all the time  .
    I'm using:
The latest NVIDIA GTX 770 drivers (331.82 & tried also 331.93),
The latest MSI game app (v1.0.0.13),
The latest MSI Afterburner Version 2.3.1 & Kombustor.
Mother Board: GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R (rev 2)
Video Card: MSI GTX 770 4Gb/DDR5 OC
    Power supply: Corsair RM750.
Any clue how to solve this problem will be much appreciated
Moreover - Can someone please tell me what benchmark score is considered as a good score for this HW setup (using the MSI Kombustor)?
Thanks in advance and a Happy new year to everyone,
    SunShy

The issue is no issue. The Gaming APP blocks usage reading to prevent boost 2.0 to throttle at low usage to have a relatively stable oc clockrate (to have best benchmark results). Don't use the Gaming APP and use Afterburner for overclocking and usage monitoring will work fine.
    Thank you flobelix!

  • [REQUEST] UEFI Bios for GTX 770

Can you please send me the latest  bios that will allow me to boot MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr 2GB o/c  with UEFI in Win 8.1 64bit using SSD.
I have looked at the MSI website and the bios files for my card are not available for download.  Apparently only via MSI Live update?
My PC will not boot into Win 8.1 64 bit so this option is useless for me.
Even when I state in bios to use CPU graphics it halts saying windows 8 graphics card not detected and requests that I disable Win 8.1 support?   Thus leaving me having to physically remove card to boot.
This must be a bios error surely?  I thought the point of being able to choose graphics output methods is so you don't have to remove card?
    My PC is:
Motherboard:   MSI  Z97 Gaming 7 Motherboard  Bios MS-7916  version 1.90
Video Card:     MSI GTX 770 O/C 2GB Twin Frozr Gaming    Serial :  602-V282-20SB1307057588
To be honest the reason I bought an MSI motherboard AND an MSI video card was so I did not have these type of issues?????
    Thank you.

  • MSI Twin Frozr Gtx 770 4gb uefi bios

    Hey guys.
    First time posting here.
Does my graphics card come with a uefi bios? If not, how do I get one and how do I flash it? I'm experiencing black screen hangups on startup, on a new build and people say a bios flash may be the solution.
    Thanks.
    My current bios: ht tp://ww w.2sh ared.co m/file/qpo5L9 My/GK104.ht ml
please delete spaces (says I'm not allowed to post external links, sorry)

A few weeks ago, I built my own pc and installed Windows 8.1. I've installed just basic drivers from vendors websites and avast, malwarebytes, some benchmarking utilities and games. I'm getting really sluggish startup speeds, and my pc stops at a black screen after the windows logo but before the logo. The way I would describe the black screen is, it happens after the windows logo but before the welcome screen - a black screen from 8-15 seconds. I cannot move my cursor or see anything. Some research from the likes of eightforums etc suggests its my gpu drivers, so I decided to post here.
    What I've tried:
Reinstalled video card drivers to see if it stops black screening
    Full virus scan
Made startup programs and services minimal
Checked event viewer for anything peculiar - nothing came up, besides a driver related to my asus motherboard - AMDA00 Interface. I have since disabled it, as its not needed. Still no difference.
Reinstalled windows 8.1. Still the same.
When I boot in safe mode, I also get the "hanging" black screen, although it doesn't last as long.
    My specs:
CPU: Intel i5 4670K (Stock Speeds)
    Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP - 2x4GB @ 1866Mhz
GPU: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 770 4GB - CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 CPU Cooler
    PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750W
    Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Windowed (with Red AKASA Led Strips)
    Display: Benq GL2460HM 24" Monitor
Keyboard/Mouse: Basic sumvision keyboard and tecknet mouse - both USB. No other peripherals connected.
Any help is appreciated and feel free to ask for any more info.
    Thanks

  • MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr 2GB OC Bios question

I got the MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr OC 2gb version and would like to know how to verify if I have the newest bios for the gpu.
This is the newest version listed on the website : http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N770_TF_2GD5OC.html#download
And thats an ss from GPU-Z, cant find the exact bios version in that downloadable zip from msi website and i cant seem to find the date created for the bios I have on my card now.
Having some problems with gpu load drops and microstuttering, so wondering if a bios update might sort out my problems.

The vbios on MSI site is a different vbios series (NV282MS.331) and older than your current vbios. Your vbios (NV282MS.352) is dated 06/18/13 while the one from MSI site is dated 06/11/13. Both are legacy vbios versions (no GOP support). You can try the latest hybrid vbios (GOP support) which is NV282MH.351. It is attached.
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the included file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html

  • MSI GTX 770 (N770-TF-4GD5/OC) Hybrid Bios Question

I have a MSI GTX 770 (N770-TF-4GD5/OC) that's currently using the NV282MS.3E0 bios. MSI Live Update 6 says I can update to NV282MH.3E0. However I'm currently using it with other hardware. The motherboard is an ASUS P5N-D. I am planning to update my whole system. So I wasn't sure if would be safe to update now or should I just wait until I get the new hardware before updating? I know using a UEFI Hybrid Bios does have some risks with older hardware. Thanks for any info given.

    do not use live update!
it has a bad record of flashing the wrong VBIOS versions and if its not meant for your card you will have severe problems!
if you want a updated VBIOS or a GOP/Hybrid VBIOS ask us and we can supply you with what you need:
we just need 2 things to do it:
1: give us your serial number of your card (leave off the last 3 digits)
2: upload a copy of your current VBIOS to somewhere like dropbox and give us a link to it! (you can get the VBIOS copy by downloading >>GPU-Z<< and use the icon on the right of the VBIOS number to save a copy of your current VBIOS and then upload it somewhere where we can access it)

  • REQUEST: Latest BIOS update for MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card

Hi, I'd like the latest BIOS version for my MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card. I don't know what the serial number is, I don't have the box anymore. I've attached my BIOS file I saved through GPU-z. Thanks in advance!

    Hi
Check graphics card itself, should have a sticker with S/N. Else it might be hard (or impossible) to provide correct vBIOS.
    Thanks!   S/N: 602-V316-09SB1410116XXX
