Hmm glad it's semi working for you. What mother board are you using? I waited quite awhile and I never saw anything other then a blank screen.
    I have a MSI mpower z87 max.
I was able to flash that vbios, but I also still have a blank screen until the Windows login screen pops up. When I try to reboot into the UEFI bios I just get a blank screen. It seems to actually load but I just can't see what's going on. Another odd thing, I have an extra monitor showing in Windows (I only run one.) I tried removing it in device manager but it doesn't go away. Not sure if that's related to the blank screen issue.

Looking at sensors (GPU-Z) and there is no information for the fan.
Only reason I started to check this, is because I rebuilt the main HDD and noticed that the GPU fan sounds louder than it did a couple days ago. I've also noticed that I can't switch between the options in the Gaming App with having to restart, which was not the case last week. There is also no change in fan speed through the settings there.

  • UEFI / GOP vBIOS request for GeForce GTX 760

    my rom from GPU-Z : https[colon]//drive.google.com/file/d/0B7sw-w8HknsicW53NXNWbHRCTlk/edit?usp=sharing
I have 10 another identical systems with exactly the same GPUs. Will this new vBIOS be
proper for them or do I need to prepare s/n and rom for each sytem?
    Thanks in advance
    Jake

    Use the attached.
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the desired file with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the desired file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.

No! For any card a vbios needs to be requested individually. Same gpu or even model doesn't mean same vbios. Even cards of the same model may use different versions depending on the batch due to changes during production

    Thanks in advance.

The vbios is a current GOP vbios for your card. If it won't work with UEFI booting it might be an issue with the Asrock board or it's current bios version. There had been similar issues with current beta versions of MSI boards too. Also be aware that Windows needs to be installed in UEFI mode on a GPT formatted drive. If you set Windows up in legacy mode it won't work.

  • UEFI/GOP VBIOS Request: N760 TF 4GD5/OC

    Thanks in advance.
p.s. S/N and ROM address will be edited out after successful flashing.

Thanks for the quick response (and that's why I choose MSI).
The VBIOS should work. There's no bleeping sound when I set booting to ultrafast.
However it seems that I did not install my Win8 on a GPT partition and thus I cannot boot into it (only in ultrafast boot mode), while I can boot into my USB win8 installation drive. I can see a greyed out option "Convert to GPT disk" from my Win8 drive in Windows' Disk Management.
I will report back after formatting and re-installing my Windows.  This time I will set the booting to ultrafast before installing Win8.

  • Need UEFI GOP VBIOS for GTX760?

Since this is my first build, this is all fairly new to me. I'm having the following issue:
I installed Windows 8.1 pro in UEFI. I'm seeing the EFI-partition in disk management so I'm sure I installed it correctly in UEFI mode. But when I want to disable CSM I get the message 'VGA card not supported by the UEFI driver'?
Is this because my GPU doesn't have a UEFI GOP VBIOS?
If that's the case, my serial number is:
    S/N: 602-V284-300C1401003398
    and bios file: 1https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B--rpHBwVTV0b3pqbjczYzV2bjA/edit?usp=sharing1
